Have you ever had a faucet leaking just enough to keep you awake at night? No, it is not a "good" thing to hear all through the night when one is to rest.
I really like this that knowledge flows like spring water from the wise.
How wonderful to be the "wise" and wise in heart, to keep God before us and remember His ways and thoughts are higher than ours!
But the opposite here is: leaking faucet, dripping nonsense!
What might we see of this when we look into God's word? On one hand we could be the wise, acting responsible, being mature enough to receive authority as to those in leadership: say like the White House, the President and Vice-President! We must be mature enough to receive authority and act accordingly to that authority that is in place.
Was thinking on this while reading and remembering of the Vice President Pence to give a speech at such and such university the third weekend in May and remembered that some of the educated walked out. Sad, but true and in turn the whoever they were, will do doubt desire to have favor and have a voice but won't because of the seeds they have sown into rejecting authority that day in May 2017. Even if they get to a place of having a job that is a good one bringing some sort of honor to them, it will not last, because at some point the seeds sown in May and in rejecting authority, they too will be the rejected. Yikes!
Not sure what happened to this country we call home, but in the last forty years, it surely has changed. I remember a day when "kid's" had to obey their parents and those in leadership as to those serving within the community like: police, your school teachers and especially God!
There is one such rejection of authority in the book of Galatians. And the "foolish Galatians" were not receiving the authority that Paul had and was given him by Jesus Christ. In their not being wise, yes not having that really mature mindset, they moved into foolishness......and the nonsense became evident! They became "dripping nonsense"!
Rejecting any authority is a clear sign of "immaturity". We find in Galatians 1:6 the group from Galatia were moving away from the grace of Christ, their teaching was in the form of a different Gospel.
Galatians 1:6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another, but there are some who trouble you and to pervert the gospel of Christ.
Galatians 3:1,3 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? 3 Are you so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?
Yes, there is no one made perfect by the flesh...........anything like foolishness is not good and will bring harm to the person acting in that regard to another person. And acted out, degree or no degree is still a sad situation for the individual.
Galatians 4:9 But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements to which you desire again to be in bondage?
It was noted that the Gentile Galatians were observing those certain days, months, seasons, etc.
In doing so, their idol worship had nothing to do with observing God's holy days ( Galatians 4:10 You observes days and months and seasons and years.
Verse 11, it is Paul who declares: "I am afraid for you, lest I have labored for you in vain."
He had taught them the Gospel that Jesus commanded him to preach and teach.
Matthew 28: 19-20 NKJV 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen."
What Jesus had given to the disciples who later became the apostles of which Paul was one, the Galatians had the early onset chose to disregard his authority. That was a really bad place to be. For a person to reject the authority like Paul, these Galatians were rejecting authority of the one who sent him and that was Jesus Christ!
It is Peter who reminds us in 2 Peter 3;11-8 (amplified Bible) 17 Let me warn you therefore, beloved that knowing things beforehand, you should be on your guard, lest you be carried away by the error of lawless and wicked [persons and] fall from your own [present] firm condition [your own steadfastness of mind]. 18 But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the Messiah)
Peter wanted to warn those believer's that to follow others who are in "error" of lawless and wicked persons.......was not a good thing to do!
In Peter' words, each person was to be consecrated, with holy behavior, devout with godly qualities. (2 Peter 3:11) (amplified bible)
In receiving any such rewards as the diploma or degree matters little when the one acquiring has no regard to loving their neighbor. It is their actions that spoke loudly and will in turn come back to them in a harvest of rejection as well.
In my thinking or thought process, as a person who hires those coming into the fields of work, would I desire to hire one who walked out on the authority like the vice-president or like those foolish Galatians we read about. For if they walked out that easily, they will probably not obey the authority of those who would be hiring them. Just a little for thought to those who have businesses and truly want to hire the wise in heart!

Might we keep in step with the Lord and heed His warnings so that we will walk the path of honor, to see His purpose for our lives be manifested that will be to His glory and not to man. It is in His light that we see light and the darkness cannot remain. May we remain in Him and remain to be wise within His sight walking in His wisdom all the days of our lives! Amen!
