A Smack-down

Psalm 24: 7 Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle, 9 Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.

Psalms 22-24 represents the presentation of the Messiah on the Cross of Crucifixion, His leadership as the Shepherd who leads us His people and of Psalm 24 He talks of the gates of being lifted to let in the King of glory.

Who are the gates? They are people! Hearts are to be turned to God in seeing the suffering of the Messiah for mankind. Hearts are too see His face and understand that God has purpose for mankind. He is everlasting speaking to those who have eternity in their hearts. God placed eternity in us and God surely desires us to be with Him always.
But there are those who choose evil ways, to get the upper hand and to rule over man in every way they possibly can!

Matthew 16: 13-20 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?" 14 So they said, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." 15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" 16 Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

17 Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you Simon Bar-Jonah, For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth, will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.

Jesus was not saying the He would build His church on Peter. I mean seriously we are talking about the Cornerstone: Jesus! Jesus was speaking of building the church on the the words that came from heaven revealed to Simon Peter' s heart!
Yet you see a church built on men's own thoughts and purposes and not on God's at all! And if you pay attention to those in leadership of those said churches, you find them finding more ways to wrong than right with God!

This region of Caesarea Philippi was north of Galilee near Mt. Hermon. This was a principle area where idol worship was highly regarded. It was also the area where early people worshiped Pan, the half man, half goat deity. Pan was the cult that was about the "wild". ( we will not go into what they were wild about) Their rituals involved nudity! Yikes!

So when Jesus spoke here in this region ....to Simon Peter and those with him, He also was speaking to that which existed in the forms of idolatry that were against God! And what Simon who spoke revealed to him by God in heaven was that which would prevail. It is those in Jesus Christ who speak the same as Christ Jesus speaks as He did when He spoke of His Father and heaven.

Again from Psalm 24, the gates who lift their heads and allow the king of Glory are you and me who stand and speak about salvation, the glory of the Lord in Jesus Christ. We speak to declare the life that came to us abundantly through Him. And those who stand at the gate of hell who speak for hell are those who can look like you and me but speak only by lies, human nature, and that which is death. Their hearts are ruled by the devil.

We lift our gates to become those who say this is the way, the truth and the life in Jesus Christ. To walk as He did and prevail by the words given to us from heaven. For all that was presented of His kingdom to us, the greatest is the smack-down of hell that we stand in faith. We understand by daily reading and praying we are connecting with Jesus face to face. And as He opposed the enemy that once for all by the shedding of His blood, so too we have that victory now at our disposal through His sacrifice. Anything that is opposing God & His will is the lie. We regard the truth of God's word and we speak it in warfare of the mind, a warfare against arrogance & those rebellious thoughts, & ideas, those arguments against God. And we know that our God is to be prized.  We are to stand against any un-scriptural idea or personal confused belief that we might hold as true. What you fear, you will find a lie behind it & behind that fear is an idol!

We are to be intentional to rid anything that is contrary to God & His thoughts. The only truth is that which is given to us by God. May He find us being the faithful stewards in what He left to us to be in charge.

From Matthew 16:19 "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth, will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.
We are gathered to Him. He plundered the strong man and we have that victory. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and to speak those words Jesus spoke: Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus ( and He is seated on our hearts). We abide in Him and His words abide in us,  and we speak what is glorifying to the Father. His peace He has left to us; not as the word gives did He give to us. We let not our hearts be troubled, neither will we be afraid. (John 14:25-27)
Jesus did a smackdown on the devil and we have the victory! We love the Lord, keep His word and the Father loves us. They have made their home with us! (John 14:23-24)

If we truly know God our Father to be the Creator and Jesus the manifested Word, then the Holy Spirit will speak to us what the Father has told Him from that appointment from the Cross on Calvary.
Many things are on the airwaves, on videos and in news reports, still our faith is to be in God and Him alone. So what about those viruses with those wild names, and those things that seem to capture headline news day and night for months on end?  What if you get a cough? What if you do not get a cough? Still whatever the list of other maladies may be, still we understand of the end-time prophecies for disease and epidemics. God is still here, and has not left us as orphans. He planned His best for us through His Son and I am not missing this great opportunity to be a witness of His great love in this end-time harvest! How about you? Let's have a smack-down!

What About That Manicured Lawn?

Every week we pass by this cemetery on our way to church. And every week I always think how many in that place never fulfilled what God had for them to do in their lifetime. Each week, I view the well manicured lawn of green. Each week, I notice whether new flowers are laid upon those places that holds a name well bound into the engraving on stone. As I view, I think how well the person or persons do their job in maintaining that manicured lawn. No one who is buried there would probably care, but those who have a loved one placed there certainly care about the looks of the place. Yes, we drive by slowly because of the minimum speed at that place in the road, and in almost a slow-motion view, speed picks up after the curve and we are off. Quickly I return to the thoughts of the service at church. My husband and I then pray.

Are our lives depicted about the manicured, the well-dressed, the clean and washed? Certainly hygiene is important. And people will notice if you have or have not showered in the last 24 hours if they happen to be around you for a short period time. Seriously though, are our lives in anyway making a difference to others? Are we an influence or are we so well-kept, no one really knows who we are, that we are the saved ones who follow Jesus? In hearing others speak and especially in restaurants and the such, I find how rare people want to make a statement out loud that they know Jesus.

I remember two friends I had when living further north of here. In that time we spent together, I remember us going out for dinner together. And we always found someone to talk to about Jesus.  We always found at least one couple, usually older than us, who was willing to strike up a conversation with the three unusual ladies. The joy of the Lord always seemed to fill that place once we started the conversation about Jesus.

Luke 12:23
23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. NKJV

What could we share with someone this week, even at church, that would encourage them? What smile could we give to someone older than ourselves? What word could we share that would bring some ray of light that someone cares to speak?

I saw this man give a salvation message: was quick and to the point! He asked, "what if this was your last time to hear and receive Jesus as your Savior? " And a man gave testimony of when this Rabbi gave the message to have life everlasting. And he said he knew he must go to the altar. He had to run and receive Jesus...........that his time was short in hearing the message. And the man's face beamed with such light. Yes, today I think of those who have laid down back to the dust. Their shell is there in the ground, but their spirit is somewhere. It does not matter about where your shell lies or how well the lawn is fertilized and kept in that beautiful green color. It makes no matter how many fragrant flowers are placed next to that cold stone bearing that name you carried. It might say something about you and it might not. But somewhere your spirit will reside forever. And what will it matter then?

Today we have a voice. Today we are the alive and are to be the "light" to those perishing. Look and see for the harvest is ripe.

John 4:35-38
35 Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true: 'One sows and another reaps.' 38 "I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors."
NKJV

There was a song out probably some 18 years ago. It was how people would know us by our love. The love we have and give is the love that is from God and how He gave first.

1 John 4:10-13
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.  NKJV

Now that is really living. It is having His love as we abide in Him for we have His Spirit. Today we are not to harden our hearts. Today we are to hear salvation and then give it to others, the message of Jesus, the Atoning Sacrifice.

Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek, inquire for, and require the Lord while He may be found [claiming Him by necessity and by right]; call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have love, pity, and mercy for him, and to our God, for He will multiply to him His abundance pardon.

Receiving Jesus, we are reconciled back to God.

Ephesians 2:14-18
14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.   NKJV

RELATIONSHIP....RELATIONSHIP.....RELATIONSHIP

Isaiah 57:19   Peace, peace, to him who is far off [both Jew and Gentile] and to him who is near! says the Lord; I create the fruit of the lips, and I will heal him [make his lips blossom anew with speech in thankful praise.
20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, for it cannot rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt. 21 There is no peace, says my God, for the wicked.

Yes, Isaiah spoke; "MY God says there is no peace for the wicked."

Wow!
While He is close, while we live we have opportunity to receive the Lord of Glory! While we live, we can receive and give praise to His name. And we receive His peace. WITHOUT Him we have no peace.
Yes, we will spend eternity somewhere, and what covers that grave is really of no importance other than those who are left behind, who grieve for awhile. For missing that loved one is so much a part of living. But our celebrating comes when the one they have loved so dearly is with them in Paradise. When the 'loved one' chooses life in Jesus. Then life really begins. It is not about what we wear, what we drive and what school our children attend. It is not about how many may attend your church. But it is about having a Lord and Savior. It is about Jesus!

A Kodak Moment or the "Son" Moment

I remember the Kodak camera era. What innovative equipment to capture a moment in your life! Yes, those Kodak moments were in the 20th century. I still have many of those moments of my life, my families live's captured for all time or till they fade, get wet or worse. Yet it is something to hold in your hand.

And sometimes I come across that which is not rightly focused on anything. I examine and think "what happened on this day"? I try to envision the day and what camera we might have used or what was available that did work. Well, it looks out of focus, yes, completely blurred and rather grainy!

Yes, those were the days. Today it is taking them and putting them on your laptop and printing them out yourself. Now that is a chore!
And with me choosing which one to print takes even longer and can take me hours to get just one job done!
Yeah, should be the faster, right, wrong!

In truth though I am led back to the Bible and handling those pages like I do those pictures. In those pages I see lives, men and women alike, and how they were changed from glory to glory in God!
I think that is why I love holding the pages of the Bible in my hands, feeling those pages and looking into those words that fill page after page with such exciting adventures of people who either loved God or hated Him. There were those who ran with His Word and His power to touch other people's lives and some just played the game never really knowing Him.
In the space of a couple of hours, I love to read over someone's life, like David's, or Jeremiah's and see what touched their hearts. There were so many qualities in them, and they had some failures as well, yet they knew God.
Coming on the time of His sacrifice, I am remembering my day to receive Him as Lord. And in receiving Him, we move to His realm. We must understand that the Word of God is spirit and truth..........and if our flesh man has not died, he must do it so the spirit man in us can rise in power.

Genesis 8:20-22
20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

22 "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat, Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease."  NKJV

Yes, SEEDTIME and harvest while the earth remains is paramount for God placed seed in us. In the moments before being conceived a sperm had to have persistence to find that egg. It had to keep moving, not understanding where it was going, but it was for destiny.
And it that destiny, a child is born. In that destiny found from the seed that God created long ago.
We find our way today with persistence, with and endurance that will never quit!
Our prayer time is to seek God's heart and hear Him give His heart on those things concerning us, our families, our neighborhood and community. Our prayers are to be that incense that is sweet aroma and is soothing to God. As we keep reaching, we change. In reaching and seeking we are allowing the Holy Spirit in our prayer time to water the "seed". In that time we call the "altar" time......with God, we allow the watering to begin. For the altar is surely the place to meet God. It is the opportunity to give time, and lean to Him to understand His ways of doing things.
For one like Abraham (Genesis 22) we see him always going to do what the LORD God asked him to do in that which involved the "sacrifice". Truly we are the "living sacrifices" and are to be those accepted by God.

Romans 12:1-2
12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  NKJV

Our reasonable service: is that which is done according to the Word of God. And to do that, we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds to prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
His Word that is spirit and truth will lead us into His ways, thoughts that are so much higher than ours.
Isaiah 55:9
9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. NIV

1 Peter 2:4-8
4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,

"Behold, I lay in Zion
A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame."

7 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,

"The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone,"  8 and

"A stone of stumbling
And a rock of offense."

They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.  NKJV

1 Peter 2:8 Amplified Bible.....And, A Stone that will cause stumbling a Rock that will give [men] offense; they stumble because they disobey and disbelieve [God's ] Word, as those [who reject Him] were destined ( appointed) to do.

It is built in "the spirit" first and seen later in the natural. To those obedient keep hearing and keep seeking. We must start in prayer, receive His Word that grows us, strengthens us, and expands us to be a spiritual house, a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Being established in that way, we are the precious in His sight. We will never be put to shame. We are to be the obedient!

2 Corinthians 2:14-17
14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.  NKJV

Now thanks be to God who leads us in triumph! When? ALWAYS!
AND in that walk, we are the diligent to keep working toward seeing His Word formed in our lives and seeing that we are victorious. We become the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.......an aroma..........and in that we "are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. It is to one person the aroma of death leading to death and to another the aroma of life leading to life. Those who operate in diffusing that aroma speak in the sight of God in Christ. Speaking in clarity and clearness is our role!
If someone is not receiving that Word, then are they operating in the "flesh" creature?

If we stay in His Word, we are the protected. When we speak as He did, we speak in clarity and clearness that is direct to His plan and purpose for our lives and those of others.

Ephesians 5:15-21
15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.  NKJV

We are to be about walking as the wise being attentive, and using the time diligently knowing the Lord's will.It is being about His plan. In being filled with the Spirit, we are speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. We are those who sing and make melody in our hearts to the Lord. It is giving thanks to Him for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Submitting to one another in the fear of God. That submitting is keeping the peace and love ruling. If it isn't doing that, then we need to find out why! We are to keep a walk of the Spirit. We are to stay in alignment with Him and abide in His peace. If we are the bumpy, the waddling, much like a vehicle out of alignment running down the road on 4 wheels, then we must find out why we are the ones out of alignment!
We may want to run with God, but end up on the bumpy roads, the rutted roads of the rigorous routines of previous leaders at home, in the church or even in certain ministries. But the bumpy roads can be removed when we stay with God.

Proverbs 2:12-15
12 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,
from men whose words are perverse,
13 who leave the straight paths
to walk in dark ways,
14 who delight in doing wrong
and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
15 whose paths are crooked
and who are devious in their ways.
NIV

Staying in God's wisdom directs us away from wicked men whose words are the twisted speech. There is no clarity in them. They are those who leave the straight paths to walk in the dark ways delighting in doing wrong. Yes their paths are the crooked, the perverse..........and are the devious.
Make sure you know those who lead you in teachings and praying. Make sure you know God has sent them. Should any come and darken the gathering, who speak perverse language, then take it to the JUDGE!

Yes take it to the JUDGE! Just like the woman in Luke 18.

Luke 18:1-8

18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'

4 "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!'"

6 And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" NIV

The woman kept going like we should in prayer. Keep going and asking what or on whose behalf you are praying. For He will not put you off! He is our justice! And He is the way that has straight paths. It is the unending way of truth leading us every forward into eternity.

In John 5, we find Jesus stating that the Father judges no one. So all was entrusted to judgment and the Son was to see over it. It was stated that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. See below:
John 5:22-23
22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.  NIV

It is better to obey God and heed His warnings. We are to pray and find what He is red flagging on that we must avoid. In our day to day and our work with others, the protection lies on that which is of Jesus Christ and He as the Judge. Pray! And let Jesus be the JUDGE in your day! Pray and water that "seed" that is a greatness in and through God and brings glory to Him.
It is that which is freedom but not to go and do all the wild and wrong things to glorify what?

In that moment of today, that rides out like a wild surf on the ocean water, are we bringing glory to God in our prayers and in our speaking to others. If we are riding high, is in His power and His might? Is it through the Holy Spirit?
Is there clarity in His word..........such a clearness that everyone hears and knows clearly that we represent God and Him alone.
If there is a moment being taken today of your life: will it appear clear and bright for God or will it be the out of focus, the dimly lit room, with nothing being viewed but completely blurred........distorted and of no use. It does not take a lot to distort a picture. Any false moves can cause distortion!
You ask me or anyone who just came from an eye appointment!

Yes I still have some of those blurred or out of focus pics and I keep a few them. One was of our baby daughter in her crib. And the others were of me and my husband. Still, God has a plan and it is for His glory and may we find our moment in the "Son"!

James 4:13-15
" 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. NIV

For it is in Him that we will live, move and have our being. If it isn't, then find out why!
And only you can do that. No one can do it for you! That relationship begins with talking to God in the name of Jesus. The Comforter, the Holy Spirit will guide you into His perfect love, peace and plan. The seed in you will grow and become what He intended for your life!

God will always do exactly what He as said He will do. He never changes. If we are joining the group, then what "role" has God told you to fill. He placed something in you from the foundation of the world. He also places people around us to help in determining that place, but we must be the those resilient to say, " I know God and He loves me." "He will bless me with all that I need." "I will embrace those God sends to surround me in His love, His peace and His plan!"

Jesus said this:
Luke 10:18-24
18 He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.

22 "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."

23 Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. 24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."   NIV

Jesus full of joy through the Holy Spirit spoke: "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was Your good pleasure."

We must come humble before the Lord, and ask His plan and direction for us. Are we not to be the demanding or even the scornful!  We are to look to Him for He has the plan for our lives. We must find how we fit in that plan.
"Blessed are the eyes that see what you see........for I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."
Humble yourself. Come before His presence. Worship Him and pray. Seek His guidance. And hear from heaven, for He will direct your steps that are ordered just for you.

Psalm 37:23-24
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD,
And He delights in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the LORD upholds him with His hand.  NKJV

That "steps" are companionship. The companionship of a good man.........is confirmed. And He favors the way with "conversation".
There must be some kind " of Kodak moments" or the "Son" moment.........to have time with God. To have history with Him, spend time is a companionship. It is costly!
That time of companionship will water you, and will give place to the "you" God has in His heart, and what He intended, and planned for. YOU are not here by mistake. God does not make mistakes! Get that focus on Him, be watered by the Word and by prayer in the Spirit. We will see you at the victory line in clarity and truth! Amen!

THAT PROPHETIC WORD!

WHAT captures our attention? When God speaks, especially in that prophetic Word, it is one that may delight us, may cause us to remember that the "natural" has to line up with the supernatural of God's Word, can warn us, and sometimes bring shock.

They say there are a lot of prophecies the last several months concerning disasters, some economic downturns, but our focus is on what the Lord is speaking. Especially in this the Jewish Year of 5774. I heard a lot about those whose objective is seeing this whole world running towards Armageddon and how the world was coming to an end. Oh my, where did they get all that. Recently I wrote on the orphan and that mentality.

Excerpt from the .....blog......: Orphan: That One Who Can Finish Strong!

Many people today are voicing loudly their life of the desolate. Many have not seen the example of a "figure" to lead them with wisdom. Many today have been led by maybe a sibling or friend and most have been taken far from the place of being nurtured in love, but brought up in neglect, or left as in abandonment, and in deprivation of anything to sustain them to life. Love never enters the arena where they reside. These are they who are usually used in some way for another's gain.

These are the "orphans"!
This has come on my heart to write in the last few days. I was never left an orphan, but I met many who had been left to their own devices. I met many who had to fend for themselves, and I saw the mistakes they made by trying to be "grown up" when there was still so much of a child inside. One young lady who had failed a couple of years in school, desired to quit school and marry. I remember watching this game being played at our school one afternoon. It was a basketball practice being held outside and I remember sitting next to this young teen. Although she was some three years older than me, I liked her gentle spirit. She loved to talk and so did I.  I was in Jr. High and liked being that age and being in school.I loved "homework"!  But this one talked how she wanted to be married and take care of a home. I wondered, "does someone really like cleaning house and cooking food"? Remember I was in Jr. High.

I believe too many are afraid to face the future. I hear those "words" going out ..........and I always think of Chicken Little.......you know......" the sky is falling" mentality. I know what the Lord has shown me and it is not to fear the future. Our Father has a future for us..............those who believe............for there is no lack in God's kingdom.
Again, thinking on the young lady...........I wonder who steered her towards marrying at such a young age. I wonder who told her how great it was to "clean house". I knew for myself, that my parents desired me to get an education. They were not seeking to having me to be married off at sixteen.

There is a harvest coming...of many souls for the kingdom............and there must be finances to bring that harvest in............not by hiding out in bunkers or those buildings put up for family only............hording dried food, and water, but giving now.........reaching out to others now..........for IF everyone got in their bunkers, hid out............and kept as much for themselves, then who would want to hear about Jesus? Who would want to come to a kingdom where Chicken Little rules? I would not want a place like that.

I know what I have been taught, and I know what the Father speaks............I know without a doubt that there is a real coming time to have supplies on hand for those sudden emergencies not expected, and we are to be obedient to ready ourselves to do that as the Lord has shown or directed us to do. WE certainly have supplies on hand for the Cascadia Event! (anyone living in the area of the Cascadia Subduction zone should know what preparation they should undertake for a sudden impact to this region) The warning for that has been going on now for almost two years!

We have also watched those informational news programs given by those who study these kind of earthquakes and how far they will reach inland. Have you? Also, we have learned what the area west of I-5 will look like after a cataclysmic Cascadia Subduction Zone quake will look like or where it will be located after the event!
But also being prepared is knowing that we are not left to our own devices. We surely need His wisdom on this, do we not?  God has given us His Word to direct us to a future that hope resides.  I know there are many today say they spend time in the Word and researching and the such.......but I see them more like those groping in darkness for any hint of light. The world can certainly bring the most unexpected things on the scene, but we do not have to receive them. We are suppose to be those who are just passing through to our home in heaven. We are to be those who take the truth of God and believe it. His powerful words are to be set up in our hearts where victory comes from. If we stay in the doom and gloom, then why get up in the morning, and why try to clothe yourself?
But God has bestowed on us the family name. He has given us the righteous garments. And we are the empowered:

Daniel 11:32
32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.  NKJV

Those who know their God will be the strong and carry out great exploits.
Doing those exploits is cultivating that relationship with Him.
Getting to know someone new, we take time to meet with them........speaking to them and they to us!
We know Him by observing how He does things. We notice when He is quiet and when He has a lot to say to us!
We become the strong when we become confident in what He is showing us by His Word and what He speaks.
We become those like our daughter who could take a group of teens to the Panamanian Jungle in 2000.
In the scripture below we find a prophet who spoke about a great famine throughout the world.
Acts 11:28
28 Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar.  NKJV

We can see famine coming.......we see the months with little or no rain. But our hope is for the Northwest to be rainy all nine months! Those who live in the Northwest are the expectant that Fall, Winter and Spring will be rainy, wet-filled days, little wind, and see no famine ever.
Prophetic words can come. They come in the form of warnings, in the form of knowledge concerning people, places or things or come as what is in the mind and will of God.
In looking at Acts 11, we also see Agabus giving a personal prophecy to Paul. He did not tell Paul to go to Jerusalem, but he simply showed Paul what would happen to him there.

Those prophetic words need to be kept where we can see them and remind ourselves God gave us His heart on them. When they are from Him, they will come to pass when we expect them, when we keep watching, keep seeking, although some can be delayed at times, but we check ourselves to see why they are being delayed. And that prophetic word will confirm what God is saying to your own spirit man.

Always remember to put God's Word first and foremost. Being confident in what God is saying at this moment is something to be treasured, and is important as a family member of God. What God is speaking to us is important for others to know. That Word will build us up and not tear down. Any tearing down is done by the Holy Spirit and He will do it in a gentle way. But we also must ask Him to be here to guide us and to direct us into and through circumstances we do not expect.

As we saw in Jesus' ministry, we know that the modern day prophets prepare a people for the Lord by pointing to that intimate relationship with HIM! Please see John 3:29. Jesus pointed  out in His ministry that those who spoke by lies were of their father the devil,

John 8:42-47
42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. 43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? 47 He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."   NIV

Jesus told us in John 8....that those of God would love Jesus. He also spoke of the language He spoke and asked them why was it not clear to them!  For Jesus nailed it when He said, "you belong to your father, the devil and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth  in him."
He even asked if they could find HIM guilty of sin. Then the most astounding thing He spoke: "He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."
So Jesus was equipping those to discern God's voice.

Like we have talked about and seen...........those of the cursed tree will ultimately wither and die. That of the living tree will produce fruit. Pay attention, watch the signs, and do not fly off like Chicken Little, but keep your composure as your peace will be in God and NOT in this world's economy. May God bless the works of your hands for His kingdom.
