Jesus Ala Carte'

Asking others if they have been a disciple for prayer, most would look at you with that “deer in the headlight look” and think you might be joking! And then they might make that move away from you just in case you are expecting them to pray at that moment with them. Not sure why people frown on praying to God and why they get alarmed to pray in front of other people. You certainly do not mind many people standing over you talking when a surgeon operates on you to remove something or make something right that fails to work accurately.

One thing though I have noted when having conversation about prayer, is that as they move slowly away from where you stand or sit, they ultimately speak of those “things” that must be done and done in that day and hour, so that praying would take all their time or afternoon away! My husband and I always have a scheduled time together to pray: for the president, this nation and the believers who walk with Jesus! It is easy to schedule that time when you know that you are reading scripture together and taking communion to remember the Lord’s sacrifice. But for all those ingredients in discipleship, the area many of us struggle with most is ( the ) prayer itself.

In regard to published article written in 2018, the estimated time for a typical Christian layman to pray was some three to four minutes each day. Certainly that full-time Christian worker averages to about seven minutes per day. But this is sad to hear, when we know our Lord Jesus prayed early in the morning, at night and during the night as well.

Even from the Cross at Calvary He prayed: “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit. “ Luke 23:46

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do!” Luke 23:34

If you have ever led a prayer group or was a part of a prayer team you could all think back of some of the remarks people would speak for not praying: like too busy or too tired, long time at work today, do not know what to pray about, do not feel like praying, feel guilty while praying and firmly speaking, or like this one, they did not believe they made a difference in their time of praying.

If we aren’t captivated by God, prayer is a tedious task indeed. I like what Dutch Sheets wrote in his 'Give Him 15 today July 19, 2021, where he wrote that spiritual warfare often entails warfare against mindsets. He regarded the mindsets of the individual but also wrote of those mindsets of an entire culture. (and wow, do we have some strange mindsets of a strange culture indeed) He was writing of the word of God that is spoken into the spiritual realm that absolutely addressed the situation, and works to divide between truth and deception. Praying the Word over people can bring deliverance to those trapped by wrong mindsets.

One of my favorite pastors many years ago had given us this passage in Isaiah 54:17. And in prayer he used it many times.

As that given in Isaiah 54:17…no weapon forged against you will prevail and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. ( Isaiah 54:17) If this is our heritage, then most certainly we should be using it. From this, God proclaims that His people will withstand all attacks because of His protection.

For if God is our Lord, then communion should not be about wrestling with God for an answer, but understand that He has sent forth His word. His Word is manifested in the New Testament.  And how do we take His manifested Word? Do we receive His speaking or do we want to slice and dice the Gospel to fit our whims. Some just like to have Jesus Ala Carte'! But God is about relationship with much communion about His desire. He has set the table and it is a feast indeed.

Isaiah 30:18 Therefore the LORD will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are those who wait for Him.

Isaiah 65:1-2 I was sought by those who did not ask for Me; I was found by those who did not seek Me. I said, ‘Here I am, here I am.’ To a nation that was not called by My name.  2 I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people. Who walk  in a way that is not good, according to their own thoughts; ( from this God pitifully reaches out to a rebellious people. We see the apostle Paul mention it in Romans 10:20-21. The two different people: Gentiles in verse 20 and verse 21 is Israel.)

Jeremiah 33:3 is my favorite. Again from a pastor who was of the healing ministry in Jesus, always gave this verse in his teaching and prayers.  Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

God answers us in ways that astounds us. Pray it and you will see it happen to you.

Romans 5:8-10 NKJV 8 But demonstrates His own love toward us, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

1 John 4:9-10 NKJV 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love,  not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Prayer is much like marriage or that of study in a school for education. Unless you apply your whole heart and mind to it, then you will find it only a work or drudgery. And if we only study or pray about the things we like, we might miss the greater picture, that of how God is wanting that communion to reach our own thoughts, touch our emotion, initiate that intimate sharing of fellowship where His joy is marked in you, His smile spreads from His face to yours and communication has begun where nothing else matters. From the verses above we can see God’s heart on the matter of communication! Walking or that fellowship with God is active, not laying down but aware and awake to God!

We are to live in purpose and respond to any anxiety or worry with joy of the Lord and prayer. Philippians 4:4-7 NKJV “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men, “The Lord is at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Our conversations should be permeated with and in Christ Jesus.

We should allow the Lord to show us that which needs His purpose to prevail in our lives. Understand that to pray is equal to finding the peace of God.

In coming to His plan: His conduct and actions show clearly that we are to be one heart with Him. We allow time available to Him so that we hear clearly and know truthfully that which we must know whether pertaining to work, to the body of believers or for our own family.

All is important to God for He desires us to know the mind and the disposition of Christ Jesus…3 John 3 I have not greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 3 John 2 says: Beloved I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Joy should be seen in us when prayer is asked for. Joy should be effervescence, that enthusiasm to resound in God in prayer. We are to be the sound, that is hygienic…by taking of the word of God daily in and praying to prosper in sound faith. Balance is required in our bodies, in our lives and within the body of Christ.

The Privilege of Prayer is a balance within the Holy Spirit who will light those areas needing help as to spiritual, physical ( that regarding your health), to your emotions ( like not wearing them on your sleeve), financially ( where our tithes benefit the body of believers for God’s purpose in them and through them) and socially.

Prayer is that rest in the Lord. And those motivated by the spirit man rest in that truth. Their faith is in God by the shed blood of His Son Jesus so that they would walk in truth and give other’s the God kind of love always! Prayer is an adventure. It has no limits, for in God we explore the depths of His love!

Romans 8:37-39 NKJV 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are more victorious not by our own ability but because it is God Who loved us!

Jesus is the great Intercessor who still prays or intercedes for us. He is our intercessor in heaven ( Hebrews 7:25) and the Spirit is our intercessor on earth within our own hearts.

Proverbs 15:11 Hell and Destruction are before the LORD; so how much more the hearts of the sons of men.

If Hell and Destruction is seen, it is horror that appears, and God certainly sees them and that which man hides in his own heart is very similar to that indeed.

Jeremiah 17:10 “I the LORD search the heart, I test the mind, and even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”

Our hearts are deceitful, that is why we must fill it with God’s word. To speak God’s words over our silly thoughts which might mean destruction. God’s word reveals where there is darkness in our thinking or in our opinions. We must have balance for within this we walk by faith, have joy in our hearts, and bring encouragement and much love to others!

The privilege of prayer is knowing Him. It is knowing the rhythm of His heart beat. Lord search me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23-24) You and I should delight the Lord. We should be willing to prioritize when the Holy Spirit speaks to prioritize some things and make room for prayer, to following the Lord's heart. As we begin operating in that faith mode we see the unseen. We exercise our inheritance on earth as it is in heaven. As we do, faith let us see the unseen, the greatness of the "little things": as mass destruction in the jawbone of an ass in Judges 15: 15-16. Then Sampson  said, "With this jawbone of a donkey, heaps upon hears, with the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men"; a small child's lunch feeding 5, 000 men seen in John 6:5-14; or a coming king in the ruddy-face of a young teenager who shepherds sheep found in 1 Samuel 16!

Elijah prayed and the servant saw in 1 Kings 18:41-46. And he saw the cloud the size of a man’s hand………….but Elijah remembered the sound……….it was a gully washer coming, it was going to be the rainstorm of rainstorms to end drought and to fill rivers to overflowing capacity. The promises of God come in concentrated form and one little word from God will set you free, and will destroy that ugly thing out of your life forever. Pray, believe and receive the paramount victories in Christ Jesus who stands with you and loose the Holy Spirit in your prayer time and see the magnitude of a great God in your midst. You will surely see the glory of the coming of the Lord. Amen and Amen.

Itching Ears

2 Timothy 4: 2-5 NKJV Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Yes, this letter was written to Timothy ...the up and coming leader in a specific church body. He was to endure sound doctrine and he was taught by his mother and grandmother. We read about them in 2 Timothy 1:5....when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in the your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.
Apostle Paul is guiding the young preacher to be ready for those with itching ears will appear. They would be people who turn aside to fables. ( I heard recently that ministries are using Tarot cards with God's word...what?)
That is so wrong in so many ways....especially when we are told not to go after the flesh in Deuteronomy 18.
Deuteronomy 18: 9-14 NKJV When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. 10 there shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire or the one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium or a spiritist or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the LORD your God. 14 For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not appointed such for you.
AS He appointed truth to us, then we are to obey Him.

There is a group of people who do not want the youth to know of the godly heritage that began this nation. There is group set on changing this nation to look like every other nation. BUT what makes America stand out is its beginning  in God! And even the first McGuffy readers were put into the school systems so that Scripture would be available to put into the hands and eyes of the budding new leaders of the future. But alas that changed as the 20th century rolled around. Men loved themselves more than God and took off into the crooked ways of greed and changing what was originally set in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. In the 20th century, technology soared as did those things mentioned in Deuteronomy 18 that we were not to do!
Like putting your children through the fire....that was Molech and it is a spirit today where abortions are desired greatly. The spirit of divination is satanic  that involves enchanters, wizards, witches and witchcraft. Magicians, astrologers, nor false prophets are to be followed.

I do not do much on the 'Twitter' thing. I found that what I consider truth (heeding and speaking God's truth) is not what someone else considers truth. And then when I put something on there, I find a load of 'stuff' I really should not hear or read and language that no one should speak or write out for all to see!

The word of God tells us to preach the word of God boldly. That means we can also give truth to our neighbors and those we work with whether at work or even when volunteering for a detail within the community.
We must be able to recognize truth and stay out of fable alley and deceit communication center found on Crooked Street in Negative City. The only way to recognize truth is to read truth from the Bible that God provided for us. In finding truth within the pages of the Bible we find a life to pursue that is one of holiness, enriched with spiritual wisdom, where we can daily be infused with spiritual discernment and gain a very wise value system for living.

In this culture, you can see what most people value and how much they are willing to give for that which they desire greatly! They sacrifice the lives of children for their own 'rights' but betray that for which they were created. Men today are seen as only in the way, but God placed them to be leaders as the spiritual man who is led by God to lead the spouse (his wife) and his children by a rich heritage of knowing the Father who created people and desired the relationship with those who would be His spiritual children...the sons of God!

What we communicate is to be with truth and accuracy and to train others to do the same. But do we do that? Do we train our children to operate in truth or "white killer lies" that can cause a whole box of problems much later down the road to Crookedville township ending up in Trouble City in the state of decomposing attitude!
Proverbs 19:5 A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who speaks lies will not escape.

Yes, that means the one who lies will be found out that they lied! Knowing this verse is true according to God. Do we also remember Matthew 12:36-37 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned.

In receiving Jesus, we are justified. We live by the Holy Spirit Who was given to us as our Comforter. He is here to guide us and teach us that which was given by Jesus while He walked on earth. And it is how we react to the Holy Spirit that we are either justified or condemned. We should not be led by the flesh creature but by the Holy Spirit of God to do that purpose God set forth for us to do. You have an assignment as well as I have an assignment. Life is more than just waking and doing. Life is the true and is relationship with God our Father. It is a conversation daily with prayer indeed to find the freedom that came through Jesus Christ.

1 John 2:21-23 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-christ who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

For without God and that relationship we can find life to be but a blur! That 'itching ears' person is looking for that which will give them a platform for their own idea of position in their family, community and maybe within the vastness of the world. But there is no song, no idea, no new thing as great as our God. There is no man or thing greater than our God.There is no wisdom or understanding or counsel  against the LORD. (Proverbs 21:30)  We are to Listen to counsel and receive instruction so that we be wise in our latter days. ( Proverbs 19:20)
We know that having 'itching ears' is seeking that which feeds the lust of those who seek that lust!  John 3:19-21 And this is the condemnation that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, because their deeds were evil. 21 But he Who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen that they have been done in God.

Jesus was Light and will always be Light. He did the will of Father that was done in deeds clearly seen. It was God given to Jesus to declare and to do for the glory of God.
Jeremiah 17:5-10   NKJV
5 This is what the LORD says:
"Cursed is the man who trusts in man, And makes flesh his strength
Whose heart departs from the LORD.
6 He will be like a shrub in the desert (wastelands); and shall not see when good (prosperity) comes.
But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness (desert), in a salt land which is not inhabited.

7 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose hope ( confidence ) is the LORD.
8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters which spreads out its roots by the river.
And will not fear when heat comes and its leaf will be green.
And will not be anxious in a year of drought  nor will cease from yielding fruit."
9 The heart is deceitful above all things  and desperately wicked.

Who can know (understand) it?

10 I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind (secret parts) Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.

A tree will never fear, but a man will. And when heat comes, and it certainly will come, we are to be planted by the river of living waters where our roots go deep into God. We must go deep into His wisdom and hear the Holy Spirit direct us.

Yes, the heart is central to man. It is the inner self that which thinks, feels, and acts. Proverbs 4:23-27 NKJV  Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. 24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put perverse lips far from you. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. 26 Ponder the path of your feet and let all your ways be established. 27 Do not turn to the right or the left; remover your foot from evil.

For you and I: our mouth, lips, eyes and feet are physical symbols for that of communication, is it for attention and behavior. An open rebellion to God is seen in those who resist God and His standard. They will not marry but live outside that God commanded. They will have children outside that institution of marriage and call it their 'right'. Or if the child does not fit...they abort and call it their 'right'. They will try to change their gender because they believe God made a mistake. But God never makes mistakes. He is right, He is righteous and holy........is everlasting!

The heart that is right will follow what God placed for our protection. For His word leads us down the street called Straight.
Psalm 125:4-5 Do good, O LORD to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts. 5 As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, The LORD shall lead them away with the workers of iniquity.
Luke 43: 4b-6 NKJV Prepare the way of the LORD; Make His paths straight. 5 Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight and the rough ways smooth; 6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

In thinking about today, many children have been raised without a father to lead and in some cases the mother was absent as well, only to be raised by a grandmother or the 'state'. The difference is to be in leadership that God commanded from the beginning. Outside of that we live by the flesh creature, have itching ears, seeking platforms to make our name great when our true assignment is to shine the light of what God planned for a 'family', what is relationship with God almighty and live under the protection of the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Without this.......we live like crooked people, in crooked houses with crooked ways and die that way.
Father....thank YOU for loving us first! (1 John 4:19)

Would YOU Like Me If.....

Would you like Me?
Would you like me if I weighed less? Would you like me if I weighed more or if I were younger or how about being older? Would you like me if I were a certain color or had less gray in my hair? Would you like me if I were taller or spoke like you? Would you like me if I was more  like you?

1 Samuel 1:1-12 This man went from his city year by year to worship and sacrifice to the Lord of hosts at Shiloh, where Hophni and Phinehas, the two sons of Eli, were the Lord's priests. 4 When the day came that Elkanah sacrifice, he would give to Peninnah his wife and all her sons and daughters portions [of the sacrificial meat]. 5 But to Hannah he gave a double portion, for he loved Hannah, but the Lord had given her no children. 6[ This embarrassed and grieved Hanna] & her rival provoked her greatly to vex her, because the Lord had left her childless. 7 So it was year after year; whenever Hannah went up to the Lord's house, Peninnnah provoked her, so she wept and did not eat.  8 Then Elkanah her husband said to her, "Hannah, why do you cry? And why do you not eat? And why are you grieving? am I not more to you than ten sons?" 9 So Hannah rose after they had eaten and drunk in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on his seat beside a post of the temple [tent] of the Lord. 10 And [Hannah] was in distress of soul, praying to the Lord and weeping bitterly. 11 She vowed, saying O Lord of hosts, of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your handmaid and [earnestly ] remember, and not forget Your handmaid but will give me a son, I will give him to the Lord all his life; no razor shall touch his head. 12 And she continued praying before the Lord.....

For Hannah, she lived within a household that held two women! Then factor in she Hannah was favored by her husband Elkanah yet, she Hannah had no children with him. And Peninnah chose to grieve Hannah about it. In verse 7 we find that Peninnah provoked Hannah that she wept and she did not eat.
Now that is serious ....!

In all that is reported to this in scripture, Hannah did not carry a negative thought. Her desire she made mention of it to the Lord and on a regular basis she pursued the Lord for an answer of a son for her and Elkanah.

In all that is reported in scripture on  Hannah, there was nothing found in a negative way about her. Today's culture is really different from what was allowed at that time. Although you do hear from time to time of men having more than one wife. I believe some Muslims have more than one wife at a time. Yet, that would be hard for any woman, and then to have no children with your husband would make life difficult indeed!

Yes, Hannah prayed for years. She had painful experiences and Peninnah chose to aggravate the circumstances within Hannah's life. But Hannah chose prayer. She knew her answer could come and she chose to keep that prayer of supplication going out to the Lord who answers.

Hannah came to a monumental moment when speaking: "I will give him to the Lord all his life."

She chose not to be paralyzed by the fear the other woman imposed upon her. Hannah chose to pray!

Yes the culture dictates something different. People write things to be liked. People will do anything to have a following and yet we find in this woman of so many years ago took the road of prayer.'
In this day and time, God still answers with I sent My Son for you. In this hour, He reminds us that it does not matter the skin color, the weight issue or even how tall or short we might be.
For Hannah prayed out of a heart breaking for "a son" and God even knew then the Son He would be giving for the world to be saved.
It should not matter if someone likes us or not. It should matter when we have committed our all to God!
At some point we must be sane about life. At some point we must choose life and the life giving words that come from God alone.

In the strength of prayer time, our communication with Him, we reject the world's chatter and the world's abuse. In choosing the Lord we are under His protection...........and our expectancy is the answer from Him that will bring much light, much love, and deliver us into a restored life we were meant to have from the start!

SAD but true, cruelty appears to be on the rise today. And it appears even among those who lead others. Today as you and I take inventory of our lives, will we see the familiar anguish and pain or has our hope been set in the Lord?
We too, can be like Hannah who received a son. Within the love of God and for His glory, Hannah had a son and he became a prophet, Samuel who ministered unto the LORD!

It is more important to be found with God. Hannah's identity was found in Him, and she secured a son. Her security did not depend on any man. She kept her voice vocal about the goodness of God and prayed. Within that prayer time, she became free to become what God had planned for her.

May we choose to take our identity within God! Set your course with those who will see potential in you. Pursue people who will see where you are going and not from where you came from.

Are there any associations we must eliminate from our lives?
Find those who will encourage you in the Word of God. They will be those who will always send you fed with His life in you.
Today, leave the dead behind and seek the land of the living. Seeks those who live for God and will encourage you to do the same!

That Communication Thing?!

Voice of Prayer
When you have to have something done outside the home, I am always amazed of the amount of time to actually get out of the house, drive to the designated place and then talk with whom ever one there is to see, greet and talk about for the "something" outside of the home. I always check to make sure that we have all the information needed before going to any destination.
But like anyplace and anyone you talk today, we find there is always at the designated meeting place,  more added sheets of questions to answer like your health. And that applies to having eyes checked, teeth cleaned, etc.  If you think of a Dr. office, you have the appointment and the blood test. But of late, I am noticing how the connection even with what is given you over the internet to receive at home from their office is somehow falling through the cracks at the office.
Communication is vital where ever you go. Especially in knowing say the English language to read road signs to drive there, not using the cell phone and to speak coherently to the person you are to encounter. But again, if you do have that language mastered still somehow people restate the same question to you some extra times, and should they do that, they will still get from me at least the same answer I gave them the first time.
I had told my sister of my trip to get blood checked. Just a thing they do to keep watch on it since the low hemoglobin a couple of years ago. I can understand they know not what they are dealing with, but I know God and I also know I am the healed made whole in Jesus' name.
She is seeing it as a test from God. I believe that, not for health reasons at all but seeing how our love walk is going with others. Finding time with some really helpful people the other day still I am in awe I stayed in that love walk. It is interesting that my veins lie so deep within my arms, that these folks must use ultrasound. Yes, you heard right.
Long story shortened here is that they did regard our request to use it right off. Still the event took some two hours to take some blood. But the people were awesome and they tried to make "light" the difficulty they were having, and yet I knew God was with me, they would get what they needed and I would get to go home and rest. These dear ones had to stay and take care of those who are really ill and who have life threatening situations.
When almost done, the lady next to was having chemotherapy done. She was in awe of my patience and oh she must have watched us. But hey, who could miss it.........we were those talking in the corner of that great room, and probably heard by those seated close by.

Had opportunity to ministry God's word and life to them. Had the opportunity to speak to one mother of her daughters and that they would continue to walk with God for His glory. It might have took two hours, but I believe people experienced the goodness of a great God and His love for them and their children. We had been asking for more opportunities to minister life of God to others but I think I will be more definite on where I would like to do that ministry moments!

Yes communication is vital! And what do we communicate daily, is it helpful to others or just another complaint? I know that our God is for us. He is not against us and does not desire us to be afraid! We have much to do here and it is by obeying the laws like not driving with cell phone in hand, stop at the RED stop signs ( I mean you really must come to a complete stop and then proceed) and we must tell others of the love of God. We should answer the phone but not while driving down the road with a cheeseburger in hand. We should look forward to ministering to others and telling them of the love God has for us and why He sent Jesus.

Yes, my husband called me yesterday and the Dr has scheduled another appointment in four months for the blood again. Not sure of the exact date but it will arrive by email here at the house and we will drive in..........once more of having opportunities to minister life.
Yes, I still pray for those times, but I have asked for a different location and not the hospital!
Communication:is the two way process of reaching a mutual understanding. It is in which the participants not only exchange information, news, ideas and feelings but also will created and share meaning. Communication is the means of connecting with people or places. In business, communication is the key function of management----an organization cannot operate without communication between levels, departments and employees.  (www.businessdictionary.com)

So happy God has no problems with communicating with us. The only problem is do we hear when He is speaking!

Proverbs 23:9 tells us :"do not speak in the hearing of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.
In God's wisdom, we would know that to keep your job, you are to obey the boss and the written "things" of order for each patient coming in for a visit. To do anything outside of that would seem to cause one to lose their job by not obeying the command from the top.
No we still love, but we also continue to pray for good communication between Dr. and their employees and that all work is completed before Dr. sees their patients in that scheduled day and time. For peace is good to stay in and when you can sing for joy, you have made God your place of refuge. Yes, I will go back for that draw in about four months..........whatever that day may be, unless the Dr cancels, but I wait on God and know if there is ministry to be had there, I will go with the aide of my husband and we will see lives changed for His ultimate glory. Amen.

Flint into Fountain of Waters

Compliments of the Barrows family
Ever held a piece of flint in your hand? A friend gave us a sample many years ago. It would fill the hollow part of my hand. I have it somewhere in a box of things from other church members (you know things you like to hold onto to remember that friend or family from long ago)

In the tales told me long ago, anyone going out for a camping trip always had their flint rock with them in case of rain. Unless you smoked back then, and no kind of lighter was available, then yes, matches would be required at number one on my list of things to take on that outing.
Now that was decades ago, and today they have waterproof matches! In those ancient times, flint was used as a weapon like for the arrowhead used by the Indian tribes. We held it important for its use in igniting a spark to start a wood fire!

Was reading through Psalm 114 and I thought of that rock of flint.
I mean, someone like passing by a rocky region with much limestone and the such might come across some kind of flinty rock and unless you knew where to search for arrowheads you might miss seeing that rock already shaped into an arrowhead by person long dead.

My husband knew where to search for them and found some from time to time. He tried teaching our daughter but her heart did not seem to be into that kind of thing at the time of her youth!

Let's look into Psalm 114!
Psalm 114
When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, 2 Judah became His sanctuary, And Israel became His dominion. 3 The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back. 4 The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs. 5 What ails you, O sea, that you fled?
6 O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs? 7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, 8 Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

In this writing, the focus is on the distinction of two kingdoms, yet still one group of people, not lost like what is given as the Anglo-saxon theory of the 10 tribes being lost.

No, God in His mercy keeps His own and keeps them safe.
In this passage: we see the six marvelous works of our great God! The Red Sea was divided (Exodus 14:3), the Jordan River was divided ( Joshua 3:13; 2 Kings 2:8,14) , mountains skipped like rams.
the hills jumped like rams (from v.4) , the rock poured rivers of water (seen in Exodus 17:6)
Exodus 17:6 Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at [Mount] Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

............And the flint into a fountain of waters.
Many a traveler through that region describe what is to be the very rock that Moses struck. It is said to be a vast size of granite. The Dake's Bible states: it was a rock: 15 feet long, 10 feet wide and 12 feet high. It is described as a rock with holes and channels through it which could only be formed by the exertion of water running through it. It was stated also that the water that flowed at that time supplied water to 6,000,000 people or more and also for their stock as well!

When their need was met by being filled, the water cease to run!

God is not hindered! He is our sufficiency and what could make fire like flint became what the people needed. It was the needed water that came rushing forth, and watered the people and their stock as well. What we must do, whether man or woman, grown or a as a child, it is we each individually must seek the Lord for His plan for our lives.
We can certainly work to make a living. Each, male or female can do the work around the home or even in the work place, but it takes God to make us into what we are destined to be come in His hands. The fire rock became gushing torrents of water; not limited to any firmness of the rock.
The Israelites came to the place of hardness. They had a hardness of heart and even within seeing all this wonderful things God did to deliver them, they were found in the desert without the surplus of water for survival!
But God! But God in His mercy blessed them with water. These people did not need to make weapons for war or make a fire, they needed the much desired cool water to quench their thirst.

John 4:13-14  Amplified Bible 13 Jesus answered her, All who drink of this water will be thirsty again. 14 But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty any more. But the water that I will give him shall become a spring of water welling up (flowing, bubbling, [continually] within him unto (into, for) eternal life.

God is our help and He is our shield. But we must stay with Him, talk with Him, and be people who pray to keep the communication lines open!

May we as His people seek His beauty and His love giving thanks for His word of truth that sets us free. It is in Him that we are alive. He meets our thirst and gives us our daily bread (Matthew 6:11)
Friends can come and go throughout our lives, but God must always be present for us. Keep your watch on Him, and desire His peace and comfort. Know He brings you to that even place, His habitation (Psalm 33:14; Psalm 52:5) and will bring to you a strength that will carry you through all your tomorrows! And may your inner most being bubble forth with praise to our God and King! Amen.
