Lawlessness

Lawlessness promotes divisiveness & bitterness

1 Timothy 6:3-5 NKJV If anyone teaches otherwise & does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ & to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes & arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling , evil suspicions, 5 useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds & destitute of the truth, who supposes that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.

Lawlessness promotes ungodliness: 2 Timothy 2 :15-16 NKJV Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

Lawless= Sin: 1 John 3:4-6 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

1.   Lawlessness is rebelling against God’s word and ways

2.   What John has given here is a correction to a false teaching that had appeared.

3.   Evidently sin was disregarded and John is addressing it….

4.   Any deed in opposition to God and His nature is sinning against Him

5.   Romans 4:7 quotes Psalm 32:1…..7-8…NKJV 7 Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, & whose sins are covered.

6.   Numbers 14:18 makes a connection between sin and Acts of lawlessness..The LORD is long-suffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation.

7.   From the Dake’s study Bible: whoever sins against God, him God will blot out of His book ( Exodus 32:33)

8.   Refusing to repent, is refusing God’s means of salvation

9.   Until they turn to Him, He punishes…..accordingly for their sins: John 3:16……verse 19 and this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, & men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. & v 21 but he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.., Luke 13:1-5 (repent or perish), Romans 10:9-10, 1 John 1:9

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful. Today we choose!

Allegiance to His Coming Kingdom: Born into this world and living within the United States, we are to be the good citizens who appreciate those privileged and many opportunities that have come to us from the forefathers who settled this nation as a constitutional Republic, not a democratic society. It is aligning ourselves with the one true God. Battles have been fought, and conflicts remain, still we are to submit to the nation’s laws and regulations as long as they do not conflict with the command of Almighty God,  that is His word! (we are seeing some parts out of control) Yes, the lawless are appearing!

His doctrine is of truth for a righteous life lived out in a conduct that is loving others but is also obeying that which is written in His word. We must look through the lens of eternity and know that without discipleship under His leadership we come to the end of ourselves, have lives not worthy for spit.

In Closing: Living for God, is living life in abundance that Jesus came to give us. It is following that doctrine He set in place before His crucifixion. We should be seeking that radical world that is coming & as He calls out His followers, we understand the evil that remains is against that coming new world where Jesus is King.

YOU can recognize them today. They neither acknowledge nor teach the narrow way to life that is subject to persecution. Jesus certainly was persecuted as was Paul, Peter, James  and John. They found life in Jesus and found the narrow way where the believer does not back down or move from adversity when it is against God’ s truth.

In our speaking, do we reveal Jesus, is eternity on our minds…..for God would certainly NOT bring that gift of eternity to him who chases after fleshly things. They will never be found in the presence of God .

Jesus gave us His peace.. …. John 14 : 27 Peace I leave with you, MY peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful. Today we choose!

Psalm 1: Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous and enviable) is the man who walks and lives  not in the counsel of the ungodly [ following their advice, their plans & purposes] , nor stands [submissive & inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax & rest] where the scornful & the mockers gather. 2 But his delight and desire is in the law of the LORD and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God)  he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day & by night.  3 And he shall be like a tree firmly planted and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season, its leaf also shall not fade or wither; & everything he does shall prosper [& come to maturity].

4 Not so the wicked [those disobedient & living without God are not so]. But are like the chaff [worthless, dead, without substance] which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the wicked [ those disobedient and living without God] shall not stand [justified] in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous [ those who are upright and in right standing with God.

6 For the LORD knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly [ those living outside God’s will ] shall perish ( end in ruin and come to naught).

1.   The righteous one has substance: the word of God

2.   They rehearse His words day and night

3.   The chaff is blown around by adversity

4.   A godly life is birthed out of a godly relationship with God

5.   It is only through Him do we see real change in lives

Walking in Him is real change: denoting activity involvement with movement; Godly counsel is needed in our activity in movement involving others as your work place, in family gatherings, in sports activities, more closely seen with your spouse, your child, maybe a friend. Living out of the godly account…..

The Death Bed Conversion

Had to write about this today as so many think this is impossible yet there is scripture to verify one occurred!

Yes, there was "the death bed conversion"!

Luke 23:34-43 NKJV 34 Then Jesus said, "Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do." And they divided His garments and cast lots. 35 And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered , saying," He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God."
36 The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, 37 and saying, "If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself." 38 And an inscription  also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin and Hebrew:  THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. 39  then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us." 40 But the other answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? " 41 "And we indeed justly, for we receive due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." 42 Then he said to Jesus, " Lord remember me when You come into Your kingdom." 43 And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.

For those who cry out in prayer for a loved one who has not taken the walk with Jesus, still has opportunity in those last minutes and hours before death. We see this in the criminal who saw no wrong in Jesus Christ and received into his heart the very kingdom Jesus came to bring to those who required salvation!

Now talk about being between a "hard rock" and serious bad place, there were two had gone the way that was destruction indeed.

One criminal each hung on either side of Jesus and each most likely looked like the criminal, the outlaw, one who would not follow law, instruction or truth. And in this life we can certainly walk down a sidewalk and see a good person, likely one respected in their home or even community but  they may not have eternal  life with Jesus nor have a heart that has received Him.

But when it comes to the end of our days, whatever walk we have chosen, good or bad, one thing is certain, and that is, there is a kingdom to gain in God and a hell to avoid that bears the presence of the devil.
On that hill called Calvary, the place of the Skull, ONE was known as the good but two were known as the bad, their deeds most criminal to be found hanging with no way out.
Yet Jesus was between these two men, two appearing bad, yet one's heart revealed this: "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?" And we indeed justly, for we receive due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong."

Yes, words declare the way in which we will go! Even up to the last hour with few chances remaining, still Jesus was there to lead the way to Paradise! I know the Lord does this for those who will hear, receive and commit in just moments before leaving this earth! He did for this man who spoke truths from his heart.

Should you have a 'loved one' who has not followed Jesus, be steadfast to believe and hold your confession that God's commands will be received by them. For you and I know that faith can save, but we also know that perseverance in doing good works is the greatest indication that your faith or mine is genuine when we put our trust totally in God who saves! (James 2:14-26) God was steadfast in sending the Son of His love for us. And as He persevered to bring Jesus forward, it was those who prophesied of His coming. Those faithful to hear God will pronounce the same over those who have not yet entered His kingdom by being born again. Let's be thankful for God's saving grace. ( 1 Corinthians 15: 57-58)

When you and I are intimately involved in devotion to God our Father, heed what has been given us through our salvation through Jesus Christ, we will hear the Holy Spirit on how all will come together for God's glory.
Pray and prophesy over your loved one today. There is still time!

Believe and pray this: Father, I come in the name of Jesus to plead His blood on ________________ (name of loved one ) and on all that over which YOU have made us stewards.
In the Name of Jesus I plead the Blood of Jesus over the portals of _____________ ( name of loved one)  mind, will and emotions and body (which is the temple)  of the HOLY Spirit.
I believe __________is  protected by the blood of the Lamb that gives ___________________ access to the Holy of Holies. Satan I declare to you that you will not bring in strife, anxiety, or anger with _____________ (name).

Father, I pray the love of God abounds in this individual I have claimed for YOUR kingdom that Jesus revealed to us.
Lord, You have said that the life of the flesh is in the Blood. Thank You for this blood that has cleansed us from sin and sealed the New Covenant of which we are partakers and I believe my loved one _______________________(name here) is partakers with us in the New Covenant. I believe no matter their heart, I believe it softened & receptive to reveal they are open to Jesus Christ and to spending eternity with Him.

"He… who ……would love life And see good days,   Let him  refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.  Let him turn away from evil and do good;  Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous,  And His ears are open to their prayers;  But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil."  (1 Peter 3:10-12)
Father, I love life and desire to see good days for myself, my family and _______________who seems far away right now. But I believe YOU and YOUR words of truth. Today I refrain my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceit. I choose to turn away from evil and do good as I expect the same for ___________ (name here). Today I seek peace and pursue as I do for ________________. I thank You Father that YOUR ears are open to my prayers for my loved one ________________!
I will see YOUR kingdom come in their life today and see them with me in Paradise with Jesus. I hold this, I believe and I have prayed it in Jesus Name. Amen.

Popularity

Anyone who has attended high school or even college can relate to those who seem to be the "popular" crowd, the lovely people or the "in-crowd". Now that last description might give you an idea from what generation I came from, but I could not at the age of 13 years relate how I needed my name among the "popular" ones.
For me and my sister, we took to being outdoors, in riding bikes, her playing baseball and me, well I loved to listen to music and watch my mother prepare some great meals. She could bake the most delectable chocolate fudge cake with 7-Minute Icing.  Although many times she told me not to touch something or get burned, still I helped in those moments she might have missed seeing.

Was recently reading an article written by Joy Allmond who is a writer based in Charlotte, N.C. And in her story she related to the Proverbs 31 woman. She initially touched on verse 23 that speaks "her husband is respected at the city gate; where he takes his seat among the elders of the land."
Now I certainly know my husband has respect in that place of business in the market place. But continuing to read Joy Allmonds story I was back in my teens and dealing with acne. Highlights mentioned was the presence of media in today's culture. Her words described that high school popularity contest and I remember being in one my first year in high school.
I thought of that moment being selected to walk down the aisle of this grand room with a young man taking my arm and going to the front of that great crowd, wearing ball gown luxury and the such. Aah yes, hair was done and a dress was selected, although not one gown bought but received a new one wore once.  With gown in hand and appointment made for hair, I daily took a look at "that grand gown" which to me was truly a beautiful gown of fuschia (skirt)  and white bodice of tiny crystals and sequins and fuschia thread interlaced around the crystals.
Then the week of this "grand event" I was told no one but the seniors  would win. So why dress up if it is rigged. That answer that was given to me that day was they "deserved it"! Talk about "let down city",  and the much ado about nothing that week! My thought was, how do I handle this situation, how do I feel about losing before I started?

So all that money for new shoes, and hairdo and a dream was shattered. I thought someone might have had some kind of chance of winning. Oh yeah and did I mention that I was the new kid in school and all the other girls from my age group had walked down that aisle how many times to see the "senior "class win! ( yes, they did this yearly in October, and a couple was selected to walk down the aisle only to lose to the seniors)

The other word this lady mentioned in her writing was social media and of course I thought of the likes of Facebook and how many would like you or not like you. Still I stand back and watch how a cultural society names the top woman of the year who neither looks like a mother, a teacher or a leader. Now without negative attitudes flaring, I see that women by the word of God stand in the right place when their husbands are positioned in "Christ Jesus".

My husband I met in high school. We talked some and really did not get to know each other till graduation from high school. He played football and was the quarterback. I was not the popular cheerleader. I did appear for a season or two with the pep squad, but that lasted till I was told to yell and lost my voice to laryngitis. I would have thought with 5 cheerleaders and about 35 cheerers in the squad some else might take their stance of yelling for a while.

Seriously, popularity should not be a part of the household of faith folks. Galatians 6:10 therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.  Godliness in us is not achieved by some external code. Popularity does not depend on how good one looks, how rich they might be, what family they are from, or what great I.Q. they might have. I do not need many people to like me.

As the woman of faith, I in a child-like manner seize daily that word of God, to pray to understand it and relate it to others. My faith causes me to spiritually portray my Savior in ways to others that brings praise and glory to His name. Those who truly win in this category are those whose hearts are set on God, whose lives are submitted to knowing Him more deeply and giving praise for His willingness to die for us!

My life will not be dictated by Tweets, or how many likes........but it will be guided by the God of glory. My life will be known for speaking of Him and all that He has done for me and mine. My life will always be with a rejoicing heart embracing truth that the life I live by faith might come with heartaches and heartbreaks but my confidence is in Him. I am worry free, love grounded and united to Him in His peace.
Today I choose to focus my life on that which is lovely, pure, virtuous and praiseworthy.

What is here today will be gone tomorrow! What matters in likes or dislikes or how many tweets makes no difference in the kingdom of God. For charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her the fruit of her hands and let her own works praise her in the gates.

The high standard set in God and His commands is that which is not by some romantic male but by Him Who gave His life for you and for me! The ideal that God has for us is within His words of the Holy Bible and they give a description that will go with us all the way through eternity!

Sons of Thunder

Voice of Prayer R Twiner
Mark 3:17  James the son of Zebedee and John  the brother of James to whom He gave the name Boanerges, that is "Sons of Thunder".

In reading Mark 3:13-21 a list of names is given. Accordingly they come in the order they are called. It is in the book of Mark that makes a “note” of James and John. He calls them Boanerges or “Sons of Thunder!
Why did He do that?
When my sister and I were young and still in grade school or elementary…but not in Junior High School, I called my sister “Sam”. No that is not her name, and she is not a guy, is not leaning toward being anything at all except what God has called her to be! There had been a show on T.V. called Bewitched and the husband called the wife Samantha but Sam for short. No, I do not remember watching that show for long. And no my sister’s name is not Samantha. She does not look like a Samantha. She has deep blue colored eyes that could penetrate through you. She also had a “ zeal for fun and in climbing trees”.
I am always thinking of when the Lord changes our names….and within this these men are “thunder”. Remembering Jacob’s name was changed to Israel! And so this story continues and names are changed as the Lord changes things and sets up kingdoms, and removes them as well.

I have looked for other scriptures, but alas have not found any that connect with this. So I turned to the commentaries and will continue to look for any scriptural basis for this change. And in regards to my sister, the name most likely represents a strength that comes only from God that is most profound in each of these men and my sister. Zeal will be seen and heard. And active for God will be seen and they will be heard.
Yet, I was the opposite of my sister I would say here. My mother called me the more “reserved” in nature and among people or even among my peers. Still I remember running, laughing and playing games outside with others when even at nine years of age, I thought I could outrun most boys but not my sister. I could not catch a ball as well as her, but certainly had her as my teacher!
And John, this Son of Thunder, would one day write REVELATIONS, the book of the Revelator Jesus Christ.  Well, that thunder is given and is heard. And within that book when opened, declares the most horrific time for mankind all due to sin. But the churches are revealed in Chapter 1-3. In chapter 4 the setting is of the throne of God and the Lamb and the scroll. In chapter 6 reveals the first seal opened and the white horse runs his course.
We are to hear what the Lord speaks and it is given by the Holy Spirit. Each church is given an urgent warning to hear “what the Spirit says”….chapter 2:3. In this is the prophecy given and bears witness to Jesus (Revelation 19:10) All genuine prophecy demands a response. “The Spirit and the bride say, "Come". Revelation 22:17
John relates “The Revelation of Jesus Christ.” Revelation 1:1
For the last book, a son of thunder wrote of the revelator and declares of that which is coming. Horrific indeed, yet there is a new Jerusalem coming, and the Bride of the Lamb will be there. (Revelation 21:9-21) And we will see the light of God’s presence in the place. (Revelation 21:22-27)
I desire to be there. I desire to that which is called the prophecy of Jesus Christ and to see His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
May we be “sons of thunder” to declare the Lord’s soon return and the glorious life of living with Him for an eternity. May we fully share in His present and future victory as well as in the present and future marriage supper.
Lord thank You for making Your home in us to dwell in us as we dwell in  YOU! Revelation 21;22
To God be all the glory….
