In Rhythm with God for a Spiritual Life

Voice of Prayer
Who knows that God is the air we breath? Who knows that rest comes from Him to us through His Son Jesus?
Hopefully many know this who serve Him in spirit and truth!
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
A worker is always distinct from the works of his hands. As God is above nature and separate from it; He is the Creator of good. In His creating the spiritual life was snuffed out by sin of the flesh.

I had been thinking of this song this week and that people would sing in church some years back. It was my favorite for it gives such a beautiful picture of a loving Father.
THIS IS THE AIR I BREATHE
This is the air I breathe......This is the air I breathe
Your holy presence.....Living in Me

CHOIR: This is the air I breathe......This is the air  I breathe.....Your holy presence
Living in me

This is my daily bread.....This is my daily bread....Your very word spoken to me
(Back to the top)

(Chorus).I-'---m.......I’m desperate for you..........And I--'--m ........I’m lost you without you
(repeat until...)

This is the air I breathe , This is the air I  breathe , This is the air I breathe

If you have every been given a bad report in that a health problem that might cut short your life, then you may think of that breath and every one you would like to have for a long time. Thinking of the closeness of His presence to know our breath, the beat of our heart and the eyes that open to see the vastness of what He created, for me I am thankful for another year to come and to be alive to see what God will present to me to enjoy in Him and through Him!

He purposed us for life to live at this moment in time for His glory! How awesome is that? I think it is rich with His love, His mercy, and kindness toward us who at one time were so far from Him. But we have been brought near by the Son of His love! 1 Peter 1: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven fro you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

We are washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. And it is God's mighty power that keeps us through faith for salvation. Our faith is precious and God does refine our faith as we walk through trials and testings! But God is for us.......not to kill, but to stand for His truth and believe by faith that He is always the faithful.

In rhythm with Him is abiding in Him and that is abiding in His word. (John 15:5) He brings us to rest in His Son! Matthew 11:29-30 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My burden is easy and yoke is light.
Most certainly man has ways of producing burdens to be placed upon people but the Lord presents to us the loyal relationship of His yoke which enables us to be obedient to Law's righteousness. (His burden)
In coming to Jesus we rest in Him because what He supplies is well-fitting to you and well fitting to me for it is built upon relationship that is personal with Him and the Holy Spirit.

In this we are restored! In Proverbs 2:10-14...it says that wisdom enters our heart, and knowledge is pleasant to our soul, 11 discretion will preserve us; understanding will keep us. 12 to deliver us from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things, 13 from those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness; 14 who rejoice in doing evil, and delight in the perversity of the wicked; (NKJV)

If our hearts are truly set on God, then we would allow God's wisdom to enter our hearts to make certain that we have knowledge of Him. In that, discretion will preserve you and me and understanding will keep us. Yes, it will keep you and me from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things. For verse 13 tells us that they are speaking of those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness. Why would anyone want to leave the path of life for the ways of darkness?

As we stay in His Word and learn of His wisdom, then we will not fall into the fear factor of relying on the five senses and of clothing ourselves in darkness!  It is imperative to have the light of God's truth shining in on the thing or the man who is set out to harm us!  And that includes you and I who might be choosing to walk out of light into dark paths. Yikes!

We do not know everything that is on our path, but God certainly does.  And you and I definitely do not want to be the driver, who forcefully drives further into darkness and confusion and try to make a "right decision" based of the five-senses that bring folly.
It is the Word of God that will keep you and me, preserve you and me, and will deliver us from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things.
We are to adhere to God's teachings, and stay in the light, understanding that God's ways and thoughts are life to us.
As we do come to connect with Him daily, our hearts are growing in courage to make the "right decisions" in the moment we need them most and speak them out if the "bad" report comes. When or if the enemy appears, we have the courage in our hearts to defeat him with the light and truth of God's Word. He gave us mouths to use and we should be confessing daily that Word over our lives and our children's lives. Making the right connection with Him, will help us make the right connections for the new year 2020!
For this new year we can create God's life into ours by speaking as He spoke "light be"! We can bring His words into our speaking and say to situations that oppose God to leave our lives and leave our homes. We can speak to things that try to come from Washington D. C. and say "peace be still"!
We can pray protection over our entire family members in those secret times with God. We can declare what He has said from the foundation of the world!

We then can rest in Him!
Father, thank You for creation You planned and brought forth by Your words of power. As the heavens and the earth and all the host of them are finished, we see You rested on the 7th day and sanctified it. In that resting we rest in You, our trust in a faithful God who put so much into making a thing of beauty and declared it finished and for man to come and abide. Thank You for that which is finished for us to partake of in You.

In Genesis 2:4-7 we are given this account of the history of our God......4 This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; 6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground. 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. (NKJV)
Father thank You for planning a family. Thank You for your mercy, love and peace to us and for us! Thank You for the greatness of You but also that sweetness of character to behold us in our destitute position and choose to raise us up for Your glory and to Your praise.

Father, I pray that each of us will hear and run with the vision You have for us in the new year 2020!  May we be people of unity to speak as You have spoken for this new year. May our lives burn with compassion for YOUR Word in 2020 to such a degree that our days would not be lackluster, but our days would be filled with the light of Your goodness in everything we speak and everything we do. May our lives shine like horizons shimmer from the sun on the waves of the ocean, always drawing us ever closer to the purpose OF Your plan for our lives as we speak and pray Your Word. We pray our words would always be the same as YOURS and that we would always be growing to be ever led to those paths of new adventures in YOU! For what this new year holds for each of us You know so well in detail for every move and step we will make.

And You have given us the Holy Spirit to connect with and pray to know Your heart. Thank You for Him in our lives. According to John 3:34-35 “for since He Whom God has sent speaks the words of God [proclaims God’s own message], God does not give Him His Spirit sparingly or by measure, but boundless is the gift God makes of His Spirit! The Father loves the Son and has given (entrusted, committed) everything into His hand.” By this Holy Word, You gave to Us Your Holy Spirit without measure. I loose HIM now into our lives. Holy Spirit spark our lives with the match of faith.
May our lives be dominated by YOUR truth that sets captives free and may we always be those who will encourage others to speak in unity knowing that as we hold up that Word of God as a standard, that we are expectant God to have His will and way in our lives as we keep in step with His rhythm in a spiritual life! In Jesus's name, amen and amen!

For God So Loved the World....

For God so loved the world that He gave.....
In keeping with the year that is coming to an end, we are ever mindful of that what 2020 may hold for each of us on this earth, still God so LOVED the world that He gave. He gave of His great love to each and every person the opportunity to receive that love through His Son Jesus Christ! To live through Him is being reconciled back to God that was given away for lust in the Garden of Eden!

Jesus Who lived the perfect life, interrupted lives of those whom He came to save: those living for themselves, those living only for a religious life and those who sought out God. And Jesus, the perfect expression of the Fathers' love on earth appeared. He expressed God's love that sickness could not have a hold on anyone. He expressed that at the Pool of Bethesda that man could take up his mat and walk away from disability and pain.
In John 5:4-9 we are told of the angel that would come and stir the water and whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. (John 5:4)

Now of the multitudes lying in this place surrounding the pool that day, Jesus only came to one person. Of all those that had laid there for years, He only approached him. Jesus asks him in John 5:6 "Do you want to be made well?" Verse 7 gives us the answer of the man: he gives an excuse that he has no help to get in the pool! But Jesus tells him in verse 8 to "Rise, take up your bed and walk." And immediately the man was made well, he took up his bed and walked. And it was the Sabbath!

Certainly if we have made our bed to lie down in something and think we require others to get us out is wrong thinking. No excuses when Jesus appears! When Jesus, the Son of love came to those with diseases and disabilities they did not have to stay in that condition. But our hearts must be willing to hear His speaking and then do it! Our heart must be determined to not take sickness to our body. Our heart must be ready to hear life and a truth that delivers!
It is Christ's life-giving power that came to that man to live out what he was purposed for in that life. Many think God makes people sick, but God did not come to kill, to destroy, but the adversary did in the beginning in the Garden of Eden.

Purpose was killed by the pursuit of the flesh nature. Relationship was initiated by God. We find this in Romans 5:6-11 NKJV For when we were still without strength, in due time, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Yes, God initiated the relationship with us. He made the way possible so that we can have fellowship with Him. Through relationship, trust appears! It is love reaching out in expressive joy to connect with God the Creator to the man His creation! So faith is working, yes active in God who first expressed relationship that is true and is life! God has purpose for man on earth, although many will not heed His word or obey His call to live for Him.

Nonetheless, Jesus came to set captives free from things that began in the garden of Eden. Human nature got in the way of the divine plan of God. The devil was wanting to destroy the purpose God had set for man and we can see this continue today. We wonder why a young man would choose to strap a bomb to his body to kill others. We wonder why someone would choose to go into a mall, not walking but driving an SUV just to plow down those shopping at the Mall! What is in their thinking to derive at such an attitude to kill others and possibly themselves? Most likely they are living without the one true God, the Creator of heaven and earth. For hate is only found in the devil and again this was seen in the Garden of Eden. Know anyone like this?

Relationship was certainly thought of in that given in the book of Luke. Jesus comes upon a scene that is a funeral procession in progress. And Jesus interrupts the world!
In this a young man who had died, is being carried out in a coffin as Jesus passes by. We can see this in Luke 7:12-15 And He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep." 14 Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, "young man, I say to you, arise." 15 So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.

Jesus saw the broken heart of a mother weeping for her son!
Can you imagine the conversation between this young man who was dead and his mother? Can you imagine how long they talked on the subject from when he had died and when he appeared alive again to be with his mother and care for her as before?  Do we even notice when God is trying to interrupt our lives? They did this particular day and the dead young man sat up and lived!

You may be dealing with sickness that the enemy has placed on you or you may have made a bed to lie in that others will comfort you in that bed of comfort, for warm thoughts but no life in reality of that which God holds for us all. We have life to live through Jesus Christ. Without Him we remain the weak without strength, but in Him we can walk out of silly circumstances and painful death- causing situations when we arise to His word, to hearing Him speak and become what God the Father purposed for us to live and be lived out now in this lifetime.

Do not let the enemy tell you that your days are done or that you have nothing to give to others. If you are alive and breathing, there is still opportunity for it has not been taken away, but you have to choose release what God placed in you back to Him, yes, through the salvation message and make Jesus your Lord.  But you must then promptly make time for God to praise Him for your new life, thank HIM that majesty on high has appeared to you.  Yes be thankful He has appeared and He came in love to save you!

Yes, that babe was wrapped in swaddling clothes and He was placed in a manger but He is the Risen King and is Lord of Lords! He is ever present to bring us to wholeness and life that releases us into the prosperity of goodness in God. It is by faith to do what the Lord has planned for us to do now.
Enjoy this time, enjoy family and enjoy friends but also remember the babe grew up. He is manifested wisdom to us.

Though the world appears to be spinning out of control. Despair is being found in the hearts of men, still God is alive and He holds those who by faith who believe in Him. He has gripped us with His hand of strength, holding us in the heart of His love, that we would be encouraged in the promises sent from heaven.
We do not require Ironman nor Spiderman.....no we have Jesus Christ, the Lord of Glory!

For what lies before us in 2020 and beyond that might be unsettling to some. But you and I do not have to despair for the difficult or the suddenly's of life for our hearts are set on and with Jesus Christ. And on the other side we rule and reign with Him. ( 2 Timothy 4:18) The Lord will deliver us from every evil work and preserve us for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Soylent Green

Is it 2022?
Many of those who read this blog may not have heard of Soylent Green. Although a movie, and thinking I remember it did well at the box office on the sale of tickets in 1973. This movie starred Charlton Heston and it was a future plot for mankind.  I did not see it but heard about from others who went to see it! This movie also had starring in it: Edward G. Robinson, Brock Peters and Chuck Connors. As it was released in 1973, my sister and brother-in-law had gone to see it and had recommended it to us. But the things she told me without giving up the details at the end had me wondering how man would be living when the earth is so fully populated with man and no place to farm the land!

This week I had received an urgent call from a lady I know and she wanted to come over to give me some details of this event she had attended over the weekend. My earliest time free was of course yesterday, the middle of the week and I waited for her all morning. Was thinking she probably got on a firmer footing in God's word and did not need any encouragement and so she had skipped our meeting if they called her in to work! It was later in the day as I studied over the word for a teaching that I also prayed, not only for us, those we know, but also for those who receive this blog and the teachings we send out for God's glory that God our Father would have His way in them by His Spirit. In praying, I was also seeking that His glory would come on earth, that His will would be done in those who are called His and that they would come to that place of safety and comfort to stay out of harm's way of those seeking or jockeying for positions especially with the microphone.

I meditated on some scripture and came back to the thought of so many feasting on the false narrative today, and so many not knowing truly God's will and how He operates through men and women who devote their lives to serving Him, could most likely miss Him, being lost in the false, the fraudulent and empty talk of others.
Again I was taken back again in my thinking of the year 1973 and this movie. It would be some twenty years later when I could talk myself into watching Soylent Green. I had remembered some descriptive words that my sister spoke that alerted me to some things that might prove to be unnerving for the twentieth century. Well, we have come into the twenty-first century and I am amazed still what people consider safe to eat, and safe to participate in like "recreational marijuana". REALLY?
If you have not seen this move called Soylent Green, then please stop here at once, and see it before reading on. For if you want details of a future land where people have no food and only darkness rules the land with funky ideas of how they might create food to eat then this drama is for you. It is the year 2022 and people are still requiring food to eat!

This Heston fellow is investigating a death of the head person at this corporation and as he searches for clues into this man's death, he finds out some alarming things about this place that is producing a new foodstuff! And it is interesting how it is processed, but Soylent Green turns out to be people who have died and are now being made into a food commodity for other people to use in their diet.

The most interesting thing is the elderly, growing close to their exit time, go to this center to sign up for a specific viewing of about an hour to revisit the world they knew as a youth. And as the child who with a zest for life ran through those beautiful fields, they have a time even though short to revisit a day in the sun. They have this opportunity to remember things as they view the different scenery's as wildlife standing in that field, waterfalls cascading into rapidly moving rivers that end serenely in the lowest parts of the canyons. In this scene, the small birds and animals appear for a drink from the inviting coolness and pleasant gurgling sounds of the river that has slowed to allow safety and comfort for drinking. The scene continues where  pastures are displayed and they are filled with many varied wildflowers, all blooming. As the man or woman is close to their final breath, they see the end of their day, the sunset of beauty announces that the last remnants of light are rolling away. As the ever so gentle light fades on the waves of the sea, still a unity of color and music take hand to move on the notes of climax that is heard overhead.
The movement is slowly displayed toward the shore of sand, and the sun sinks, and the dusk of an evening is presented.....the music hits a crescendo of orchestral unity, video ends, curtains close, and lights come on and assistants show up to roll away the deceased into the food processing facility. Yikes!

Some decade ago, I had come across some dog foods that were being processed from dogs and cats which had died and were being used as the meat portion used to make this dog food. Some of them had become very ill and some had died with cancer. And the processor for these dog foods sold them to people who fed bad food to healthy pets. What happened? Why would someone do that?
So have you wondered of what they might be putting in the food you purchase at that specialty store of yours? You might consider first of taking it to prayer to God the Holy Spirit and say, "show me where I have been lied to and show me what is healthy food for me and mine and including my pet!"

Peter taught us to desire the milk of the word, but there is a time for meat! God’s word is for order in our lives! 1 Peter 2:1-3 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy & malice, all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
Microwave mentality is not the best pathway when desiring to make decisions for health and safety for you and your family. No, the quickest is not always the best!

Jesus spoke in John 8:52 “if anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.” Tasting the word is tasting and experiencing life God intended for us through His Son Jesus. It is knowing the Father of lights of whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. It is every good gift & every perfect gift from Him who keeps His promises.

We are also told in Hebrews 5:12-14 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; & you have come to need milk & not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
These words were given to a group of people who had become slothful in attitude of hearing & it resulted in a lack of spiritual growth! Advanced teachings we are told of in this passage was for the mature believers who had the ability to discriminate between sound doctrine & the unsound, and to discriminate between wholesome conduct and unwholesome conduct!

Not all people living today operate out of a wholesome conduct. They only have room for the greenback, that which some think of as the almighty dollar, but truly wholesome conduct is that which is found in the kingdom of God, where the Lord rules our hearts in making decisions for life and health. We are to grow up in His kingdom, to mature in the knowledge of Him and by the practice of the Scriptures in what is living by faith in Christ Who died to bring to us life and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit.
The continual teaching and hearing gives way to growth in us. Our being equipped in them is preparing us to be stable in chaotic times, to stand firm speaking what God gave us through His Son Jesus Christ and teach others.
God purposed us to be grown-up to see potential revealed in us and through us and not to remain as infants or in that state of infancy!

Man's way always crumbles beneath his feet. Unless we heed the Lord's guidance and teaching we fall headlong into disaster much like Judas Iscariot did! With so much about to occur on earth and in the heavens, should we not be alert to that which is warning from God, to know Jesus is returning soon for those who are His?

Back to Hebrews 5, the writer Paul, tells us that these congregations were not equipped to feed themselves. They were not equipped to discern the sacred or spiritual from the profane or carnal. These in that independent state really need to seek, and to be about learning God's truth, learning of the kingdom of God to ultimately be weaned from that "bottle" fed mentality! And it appears that some of us over the years have seemingly lost our appetite for that solid, spiritual food and need to be fed intravenously.

If you have ever had to be fed intravenously or been given blood you might wonder what is in that blood and whose was it before it was put in that bag and hooked up with a hose and needle to be transferred into another human being! Prayer is certainly important, and a prayer team is a benefit when you are facing such things. You want healthy blood put into your blood system and the same works for good doctrine and that which is for "meat" eaters! We cannot remain as the little bird, with a syndrome of "feed me" when there is so much out there available in the way of bringing light into our existence on earth. We are to be fed with our Father's ever-strengthening truth and see that supernatural Light fill every area of our being.

All of us need to become less dependent on spiritual milk and instead become more capable of profiting from solid food. We should enjoy solid food, and there is a way to revitalize our spiritual appetite for the weightier matters. We certainly live in a place where gravity matters. And that gravity has the affect on us to keep us on the earth to live and work there. Still that same gravity has the pulling down effect to the person. So even though as a babe craves milk, we should crave the weightier things of God. We also must throw down dark thoughts to spiritually exercise understanding that we are not alone in this!

Exertion is found being done for the "good spiritual food".  Again from :1 Peter 2:1-2  NKJV  Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
Following 1 Peter 2:1, in which he admonishes us to rid ourselves of the fruits of spiritual junk food, Peter lists evidence of a mind afflicted with a poor spiritual diet! This specific diet included Malice which is ill will, the desire to inflict pain. It included Deceit and is listed as lying or crafty, seductive, and slanderous activity of a person. Another is Hypocrisy that pretending to be what one is not. Envy is the strong desire to possess what belongs to another and Evil speaking is using the tongue to gossip, deceiving others, or destroying reputations. All of these things lead to an unhealthy life and unhealthy situations that are seriously problematic!

And Peter proceeds to encourage us to crave God's Word just as a baby craves milk. He is not encouraging us to desire elementary spiritual food but emphasizing the energy we should exert to get good spiritual food. Babies demand milk as if their very life hangs in the balance at each feeding. And then after they get to it, watch their behavior as they have gotten that food in their mouth. Just a weekly feeding is never enough and we certainly should be about getting that which is purposed for us to grow and become what God our Father desires for His children.

It is the the apostle that calls God's Word pure, meaning uncontaminated, unpolluted by fraud or deceit. God's Word is truth: John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
It is in Psalm 12:6 that David says God's Word is refined seven times: The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Words of the Lord are morally pure!  So here, we see that truly, Peter is teaching us that God's word promotes spiritual growth and that good health just a good food can do for us physically!

Milk is tasty especially if you have no allergic reactions to it! But when we consider Paul's teaching from Hebrews 5, we really should see it is not about the desire but more about the depth. If we rely on others, heed their lies and do not seek out real truth, then where else is it possible that we are being fed something like soylent green that is not good for you? Seriously speaking in this day and time when so many are drug users, pot smokers and possible alcohol abusers, all that could put a profound effect on one's body for ill health, to appear weak, the gaunt if someone decided to start using those types of body of a "green thing" to be fed to you!
May we not slip into that baby bird mentality of feed me when so much vast wealth of God our Father has been presented and available at our fingertips. Truly God is for us, but we must be found with Him and not against Him!
WE must know truth to recognize when truth is not given to us.....it starts in the kingdom of God that has come! Amen.
