True Government is Kingdom Justice

Chaos or Divine Order: YOU CHOOSE
The only government that works is the kingdom Justice that came through Jesus Christ. If the word is “get rid of Christians”, then there is only chaos, for they carry His presence and they pray for those who do not know Him.
So when seeing chaos, do we remember the chaos in the beginning and what God did?

Just look at the beginning when the Holy Spirit hovered over the face of the deep in Genesis 1:1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the deep.

Chaos ruled and then God spoke. And chaos came into order, and the mess became a garden. Planets were formed, and the sun began to light the earth. Stars covered the night time sky and waters began to be filled with all kinds of marine life.  What God spoke was an approval for the earth to produce and it produce!

As in the beginning, chaos is transformed into or by a process of life and order!
Order came when God spoke it into being!
Proverbs 11:1 Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, But a just weight is His delight. Proverbs 16:11 Honest weights and scales are the LORD’S; all the weights in the bag are His work.

From Proverbs 16:11 His work refers to His concern! In the days of Solomon, weights and balances were the way purchases were made. They were to be accurate in measuring the weight of an item that was being purchases or sold.
So in dealing with material things, we are to deal in justice with man to man.

In this understanding that God never cheats anyone. He is not a man who lies, but He is God of righteousness and truth.
But those outside the justice of God will bargain with anything to gain the advantage over another person. They will offer free stuff to you but their heart is not with you. To deal accurately, one should have the fair priced fixed and never be changed on a whim nor by a circumstance!  So those who deal accurately will obtain that place that is honest and transparent in their dealings. But those who  wheel and deal just to make a windfall will make deals, but they are the empty deal and they are of the falsehood that has no life to it.  The 'wheeler dealer' who takes advantage of another will never gain anything by deceit. What does the scripture say: Proverbs 23:5 Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away like an eagle toward heaven.

Setting one's heart on riches can and will make that one look like a fool. Our eyes should be set on Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2) Making God our goal, we receive benefits and they never fly away. When we see God as our answer, then we are those who look to His wisdom in all decisions to be made.

It is in God we find that justice and those who live by faith find that pathway.
Seeking God's justice is seeking His mercy. And mercy only comes from God and hopefully by the man or woman who have Jesus as Lord of their lives. Jesus came to relieve the oppressed, to judge the fatherless and plead for the widow.

Jeremiah 22:15-17 NKJV 15 “shall you reign because you enclose yourself in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him. 16 He judge the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well. Was not this knowing Me? Says the LORD. 17 Yet your eyes and your heart are for nothing but your covetousness, for shedding innocent blood, and practicing oppression and violence.

Character is certainly seen when one practices violence against another, that is to defame one without cause and kick them to the curb like they are an animal. That is not justice from God. That is justice that comes from the rebellious one. It is for 'me, myself and I' and looks to exalt oneself and make the other person look bad.

An example: I remember a doctor, my husband and I met years ago. He had no manner in dealing with the patient.  Our daughter as a teenager had gone four-wheeling with friends of my husband from his workplace. Our daughter suffered an accident when something happened on a dirt road . She was headed toward a barb-wired fence and jumped from the four-wheeler and in the process, she injured her back.  The attending doctor was pushing and shoving on her back that seemed out of place and wrong at the time. He caused more pain and discomfort than that which the accident had imposed upon her. He seemed more like he was punching a punching bag than caring for the person before him. He asked not questions, he only proceeded his probe of injury!!

Another doctor who was our child’s pediatrician was a good doctor, knowledgeable in childhood diseases and surgery and had the ‘bedside’ manner that represented a caring heart for others. We saw this when she had an appendectomy at age 12. He cared for his patient and understood the child's thinking and motivated her to relax in the healing process. He encouraged her that fun times were still ahead and the appendix would not be there to aggravate her anymore.

God’s justice is the justice that comes through His mercy. It is His righteousness that is the action of His mercy. As we have seen from the two examples of the doctors in their respective roles: the relief of the oppressed and needy, so too God’s justice is His kingly power. The difference seen in the two men are apparently different. One was caring, and one was not. For one doctor, it was about the patient and the other was not!

But God in His justice never changes. In His rule, our God’s justice is joined with His mercy. He is just! Isaiah 45:21 Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, a just God and a Savior; There is none beside Me.

Psalm 7:17 I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the LORD MOST HIGH.
God is supreme God and He is righteous. He is righteous in His judgments and justice.
Psalm 140:12-13 NKJV 12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the poor. 13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; the upright shall dwell in Your presence.

Psalm 94:14-15  NKJV  For the LORD will not cast off His inheritance. 15 But judgment will return to righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it.
Psalm 103:6 The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.

While working on this, I thought of this scripture in Proverbs 23:7 As a man thinks in his heart, so is he; Eat and drink! He says to you, but his heart is not with you. For certainly our thoughts should be those that the Lord thinks of us and we should meditate on them and speak them daily for He has only positive things to say about us! We should not allow Satan to use our spirit as the garbage dump by mediating on negative things that only he can offer!

In Mark 9:43-48, we are reminded of the garbage dump in Jesus’ day. In this passage Jesus was warning of the severe consequences of endangering the immortal soul of another person. Whatever part of our person offends us to sin then it is better to cut it off and live in pain than to spend eternity in fire and damnation.

If we as the doctor, lawyer, janitor, mail carrier, the mayor, the surgeon, or even the trash collector, do not treat others in justice, then God is not present with us.
If  the doctor only offers to med-up the 'patient' in the latest medical wonders, then that could be addictions that is not needed medicine for our body. He is not with you in health of your body.
If the lawyer asks you to sue someone, and take them for everything they have, that is stealing. And his heart is not with you but in 'money' matters!

If the mayor looks the other way when injustices are done to any agency within that governing county and community he sees over, then said mayor is operating out of his own desires and interests and not the righteous ones seen in and though God.

If the mail carrier decides to not deliver the mail on his route he is dishonest and not responsible to fulfilling his commitment to the actual work required at his job. If he throws all that mail into the nearest ditch and goes home to watch television or play video games, his heart is not with you. He will not deliver "your mail" so that you might receive that water bill and possibly that belated birthday card a family member sent to you. That 'water bill' goes unpaid and you never know of the sweet sentiment of the relative who sent the card unless they ask you if you received it.

If the surgeon operates on the wrong person and takes out their spleen and they had no problem with their spleen, the surgeon was not active in his duty to perform the right procedure on the right person at the time. His heart was not with any patient that day. He was overtaken maybe pride or too many other things going on in his life like his wife is divorcing him, his grown son has moved to another country, his daughter has chosen to not finish high school and his insurance premiums are sky-high because of oversights in the hospital surgery department!

What causes injustice is what causes one to rebel and that is sin and the desire to please themselves. Justice is being and acting like God would act in any situation. And His government is on His shoulders. Isaiah 9:6-7 NKJV For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice, form that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Those who are the ‘redeemed’ of the Lord know Jesus as the ruler of their hearts. His reign is a health to them. He is prosperity, happiness and peace. They hold the banner of victory knowing God sent Jesus into the battle and He came out victorious for us. He is our justice who brought us wisdom from God that is in exhaustible, the Truth and the Way which guides us daily into our future. He leads us by His Holy Spirit down the path which is well marked with His presence, His peace and love!
Yes, true government is Kingdom Justice and it begins with that saving grace. No matter your ethnicity, no matter where you live, God is only the way to life and through Jesus we have life and justice. And without it.....well, it is empty, that futile place with wars and rumors of wars, violence and hate! Let us abide in Him and pray for the justice to roll down like a river for the nation and see God's kingdom come to us in the way He expects us.....to cooperate with Him and His purpose. Amen.

Going Viral with the Fear Factor

John 16:22-24
22 Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you. 23 And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
NKJV

Jesus opened communication lines from man on earth into the heavenly throne room of God. And in that day.......you and I talk with God........that is today! Yes, Jesus did that for us. Asking the Father in Jesus' name is about communicating.
Communication today is the most spectacular I have seen in all my days. In those day I have seen the party line with several families all vying to use the same line to call out from the country.
We hear words today like "going viral" and the communication sent had optimum speed.

In Jude, we are told to build ourselves up in our most holy faith by praying.

Jude 14-25
14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, 15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

16 These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. 17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever.
Amen.            NKJV

We are to pray in the Holy Spirit. We are to pray in His language to build our faith. As we pray with our own mouths words from the Holy Word and in His language He desires to pray in and through us we gain a momentum and grow in faith.

NOW we were given the measure of faith........Romans 12:3-8
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.   NKJV

We must use our "faith".

But is just like your cars' gas tank. If you put nothing in it, you have a car , but no power! ........In respect to that........those who do not pray............have no faith. Ah, but Shelley, the Lord has given me the measure. Yes, but it is a place to fill and build. Our faith must grow.......to seize that which the Lord has for us. It is how much did you put in yesterday. Did you read and pray yesterday? How full was your tank this morning when you awoke? Many people are in that dry land. It is a thirst............they have just enough faith for themselves, but no more.

Hebrews 11:1-3
11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
NKJV

My world today is that faith I spoke out by His Word and in prayer.

There is a day coming, when people will "go viral" in the fear factor! They continue to see strange things come upon the earth. And those they look to .........as to stop the "virus", to stop the plague seems or appears to fall on deaf ears. Any big quake, any big disaster, any "suddenly" happening falls on Washington. But Washington cannot fix your fear, my fear or anyone else's fear. We are to grow up in our faith. Just like children that grow from babies to those adults we see walking around the grocery store, the mall area, the dry cleaners and even at the schools. We surely grow up, but where is our faith level set?
If it is registered like that of your gas tank.........Empty to Full, where is the arrow pointing to on your faith meter?

We saw it with Jesus in John 16 before He prayed His prayer to God in John 17 which by the way, is the longest prayer in the Bible.

His confession (from His mouth)His prophesying was according to His faith (Romans 12:6)  before praying…THIS IS HIS CONFESSION……..found in John 16:27  For the Father Himself [tenderly] loves you because you have loved Me and have believed that I came out from the Father. 28 I came out from the Father and have come into the world, again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.

His faith was established based on leaving the world and going back to the Father…

John 16: 32….the hour is coming, and it has arrived, when you will all be dispersed and scattered, every man to his own home leaving Me alone, but I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

He expressed His confidence that the Father was with Him.

John 16:33…..I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulations and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

He had not gone to the Cross yet, but by His confession and confidence in the Word and His Father , he had done it ( accomplished God's plan) in His heart through prayer!

Then He prays: John 17:1 When Jesus had spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour has come, Glorify and exalt and honor and magnify Your Son, so that YOUR Son may glorify and extol and honor and magnify YOU.
FAITH SPEAKS!

Our prayer today is to build ourselves up and ask the Father, speaking as Jesus did............lifting our eyes to heaven, "Father, the hour has come, glorify and exalt and honor and magnify Your Son (daughter), so that Your Son (daughter) may glorify and extol and honor and magnify YOU."

Those today who can pray this, have humbled themselves to pray. They have filled tanks of faith, to reach their community and the world with faith that is fire. It is a confidence that the Father is with us, the Father hears when we pray, and being established in our faith, we are continually those who reach out to those who will be running in fear.
Our Father God gives grace to the humble. That means more grace.........to expand! What may seem small and insignificant will grow.

James 4:4-7
Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely?  6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

"God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble."

7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from youNIV

We cannot resist the devil when we are not "submitted to God. It is in prayer that we submit to His will. It is in His Word that we should reside and bring to His remembrance what He has spoken to our hearts.

Oh, it is coming.........it is not far off.......and that "viral fear factor" will be running rampant. At optimum speed it will scatter fear, far and wide!

Are we ready? Are we set to touch others when their world is falling apart?

Oh precious Holy Father, we pray in Jesus' name...........
Ah, Lord, it is to YOUR glory and to YOUR praise, this is written. It is that which YOU have declared from the beginning and is soon upon this world and nation. May we glorify YOU and bring praise to You continually ................Holy Spirit help us, guide us, and show us that path of prayer..........that is of the diligent, the signs and wonders, that gives us the Witness of Jesus in our lives. As of the faithful and true, we desire to be hot with zeal to pray. For in sanctifying ourselves, we follow Jesus' example as He prayed, not for Himself but for those who were on the other side of the Cross at Calvary. We have people to reach too, and today I pray that we would be the sanctified. To those Lord whom You love, You rebuke and discipline......Revelation 3:19.
Jesus overcame the world and confessed it in John 16:33. Today I confess over all who take note of this, who will not turn away but seek to run in prayer.........that we are the undaunted, with prayer on our lips that is praise to our God. May our hearts be set to obey and pray. As we seek to reach those running in fear, may we be the set and established in YOUR truth that is power to us, to give them Jesus and see them come to peace with God.  Amen.

THAT PLACE CALLED FAITH!

John 15:4-8
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.   NKJV

1 John 5:1-5
5:1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
NKJV

Seems easy, does it not, that when we abide in Jesus, and all the words He gave us.........that when we ask with that righteous desire, we will see what we have asked for according to that Word?  (John 15:7-8) And when we keep His Words, those commandments are not burdensome. That is the place that looks like faith, and overcomes anything the adversary may throw up at you or me!

TO me, it is like following a recipe. In following say something for a beef stew, we look at all the ingredients. We look at the amount needed to make a stew that will, of course, have meat, a potato, and some veggies in it as well. Now I am not one for that tomato type broth in my stew, but one that is meaty and full of flavor with onions and beef. Yes, it must be brown in color!  I like the meat tender and fully browned on both sides of the meat and the broth should not be runny and soup like but richly thick.....but not where a spoon put IN WOULD JUST stand straight up in it. No, it must be thickened just enough to create a flow when stirring. Now that is a just "right" stew.

Well, the Lord desires us to have that continual flow of faith. Whatever may come into our day or week, we are to have that continual flowing of faith, and not only for ourselves, and families, but for others as well as when we pray and believe. And that believing is based on truth that Jesus is the Son of God.
If I spend all day writing and not spending time with the Lord, my faith is not established. Just like that stew.......if, I leave out the meat, then it is just vegetable soup.

John 7:37-39
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
NKJV

Faith is like a flowing river.........of living water..........when we believe. In believing, we speak out what we believe for, not just for us, but for others, too!

Ephesians 5:8-11
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.     NKJV

Finding out is half the fun.........it is finding Who the Father is, What Jesus did for us...........and what is pleasing..........that which is acceptable to the Lord.

Romans 12:1-20
12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. 17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. 20 Therefore

"If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head."  NKJV

That faith is a measure given by God. But it is expanded the more we put His Light on it. That faith is spiritual. It moves mountains, and cast things into the deepest oceans never to be seen again. When God said, " Let there be light" and there was light. (Genesis 1:3) It was good. And that Light was divided by God..........from darkness! When we allow His word into our lives, we are allowing, Light to separate us out of the darkness........out of ignorance and into glorious Light! That faith gives us the edge to prophesy.....in proportion to our belief in Jesus, the Son of God. Ministry was given for ministering to others in a measure of faith, just as the he who teaches, he who exhorts or even for the giver...........who gives liberally without another thought of "all that money" for the kingdom. No, it is about our faith in believing HIS Blood was shed for us............it was given in Love and by Love..........it is knowing we can lead others when we set our faith in motion to hear God speak to us about the next thing we are to do............not because of "just doing" because of our belief in the One Who GAVE IT ALL FOR US!

1 Thessalonians 5:5-11
5 You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.   NIV

Putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and hope of salvation as a helmet............we live together with Him.
2 Timothy 1:13-14
13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.  NKJV

Paul told Timothy to hold to the pattern of sound words which Timothy had heard from Paul. In faith and love in Christ Jesus.............a good thing that is kept by the Holy Spirit WHO DWELLS IN US!

Yes, I like easy. I like an easy Stew Recipe.........It has to look a certain way, taste like beef and stir like a "SMOOTH RIVER" of thickness. SO too, keeping that good thing God has in us when we first believed is by the Holy Spirit. The Comforter, our Teacher and Guide. He will bring to our remembrance all that Jesus said.............what was spoken to bring to our remembrance what is about to happen for our good.

The Holy Spirit teaches us God's will........grants us the fear of the Lord. (Isaiah 11:2-5), gives us a new heart, not of stone, but of pliable tissue to obey the Written Word of God. Like David, we too, can see the Holy Spirit developed into our lives. We are to depend on HIM and hear Him speak the Father's thoughts toward us.
Jesus told those in the synagogue that "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me"...........He was saying the Lord God was overseeing His ministry and guiding the whole thing in a process! And in the time of Peter and his fasting and prayers, he being sent to Cornelius, gave the word that the Spirit was being given to others......to.......those who would believe in Him and be saved.

Acts 10:25-48
25 As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. 26 But Peter lifted him up, saying, "Stand up; I myself am also a man." 27 And as he talked with him, he went in and found many who had come together. 28 Then he said to them, "You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 29 Therefore I came without objection as soon as I was sent for. I ask, then, for what reason have you sent for me?" 30 So Cornelius said, "Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, 31 and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your alms are remembered in the sight of God. 32 Send therefore to Joppa and call Simon here, whose surname is Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea. When he comes, he will speak to you.' 33 "So I sent to you immediately, and you have done well to come. Now therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things commanded you by God."

34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. 36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ--He is Lord of all-- 37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. 40 Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, 41 not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. 42 And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. 43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins."

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. 45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, 47 Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?" 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.
