Stinking Thinking, Anyone?

Hey, there is a great deal of stinking thinking going on everyday ....till.......___________(any year you choose, can be yours just for your giving in to it)!
The adversary has some stinking thinking and is throwing it your way and my way. Did we catch any of it this past weekend? Were we hooked by a feeling? Or were we reminded our past wounds which still seem to ooze with pain?
Yes we have the opportunity many times a day to say, "No!" to him the adversary.
But there are many things we can do to stop him and stay "alert" daily to have no negative thinking going on. Now when we realize any negative thinking, any loud........like angry speaking words comes out of our mouth, we are initializing a real threat of ill health to our bodies.
I just came from something last year and not sure what caused it, but I know God loves me, is for me, and will show me how to guard that which He has for me. I do not WANT to go through that stuff again, ever. Amen

2 Corinthians 10:3-6
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.   NKJV

Today, a believer is in Christ. Old things have passed away. But the adversary likes to remind us of yesterday.
Do you remember what happen to you as a child? Do you remember what they said about you at church? Do you remember what your spouse did? Do you remember..............blah, blah, blah, blah.........and it continues unless we, put our foot down accurately and directly on his head.

OUR enemy is chaos. AND he will create those situations and those things that will be a deterrent to to us......that is: our thinking will be interrupted by his disgusting thoughts!  But, make the determination today to win because Jesus is with us, always leading us in triumph, always bringing us through, and watching over us.
My husband and I took care of some errands yesterday. We are needing tomorrow free as our little pet and myself included have appointments in the "big" city. It is usually an all day event, and we try to get other things done as well, but it surely disrupts the week somewhat ......especially when you like things more ordered and precise. Or is that over managing your day?

THE Flesh creature should not have a say. It relies on the five senses. But being born again, we are to live in and by the Spirit of God. We are to remain in Him, right?

2 Corinthians 10:3-6
3 It is true that I am an ordinary, weak human being, but I don't use human plans and methods to win my battles. 4 I use God's mighty weapons, not those made by men, to knock down the devil's strongholds. 5 These weapons can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding him. With these weapons I can capture rebels and bring them back to God and change them into men whose hearts' desire is obedience to Christ. 6 I will use these weapons against every rebel who remains after I have first used them on you yourselves and you surrender to Christ.   TLB

From the above, we see someone else dealing with the "weak human being". But we do not use human plans and methods to win battles. We are to use God's mighty weapons to knock down the devil's strongholds. I am thinking the devil really likes to talk and not really accurate most of the time. You know he is the father of lies, right?
We are to be obedient to God and His Word. Anything outside of that we become "rebels". Oh no, that "r" word! But it is in obedience that we live..........and our lives look like the surrendered to Christ.

John 8:43-47
43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God." NKJV

Ever heard someone say, "I just do not understand what the Pastor is teaching!"
Yes, I have heard it and my husband has heard it spoken as well. But Jesus was plain about it. YOU are not able to listen to MY WORD. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.
YIKES!
He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
(verse 47)" He Who IS OF GOD HEARS GOD'S WORDS; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God."

We must keep God's Word in our mouths. We must keep at it daily and remind the enemy, we have life today in Jesus. We remind him that he the devil was defeated and will have no way in our lives today or any other day!
Those truly repentant, who really desire good for another will always bring the whole ordeal to God. They will bring that which they are not sure of and present it with the Words of God they know to speak, to pray and how to move forward, but will always have the focus on God and Him alone.
It is not in our doing. We can speak words, but we must speak faith filled words that come from what Jesus spoke, what other prophets spoke, and was delivered to us in the N. T.

We are told that in Isaiah 59:19-21 (amplified bible) 19 So [ as the result of the Messiah's intervention] they shall [reverently] fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight [ for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives. 20  He shall come as a Redeemer to Zion and to those in Jacob (Israel) who turn from transgression, says the Lord. 21 As for Me, this is My Covenant or league with them, says the Lord. My Spirit, Who is upon you {and Who writes he law of God inwardly on the heart], and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart out of your mouth or out of the mouths of your [true, spiritual] children, or out of the mouths of your children's children, says the Lord from henceforth and forever.
Galatians 3:29 And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham's Seed] then you are Abraham's offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise.

Jacob was the supplanter. It was about "me, myself and I". But "Israel" is unity with God. Amen.We have the born-again man, we live by the Word of God. The Holy Spirit raises the STANDARD of the word He gives us to speak and to live by.........day by day, by day and forever.

Isaiah 54:9-17
9 "Just as in the time of Noah I swore that I would never again permit the waters of a flood to cover the earth and destroy its life, so now I swear that I will never again pour out my anger on you. 10 For the mountains may depart and the hills disappear, but my kindness shall not leave you. My promise of peace for you will never be broken," says the Lord who has mercy upon you.

11 "O my afflicted people, tempest-tossed and troubled, I will rebuild you on a foundation of sapphires and make the walls of your houses from precious jewels. 12 I will make your towers of sparkling agate and your gates and walls of shining gems. 13 And all your citizens shall be taught by me, and their prosperity shall be great. 14 You will live under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away; you will live in peace. Terror shall not come near. 15 If any nation comes to fight you, it will not be sent by me to punish you. Therefore, it will be routed, for I am on your side.

16 I have created the smith who blows the coals beneath the forge and makes the weapons of destruction. And I have created the armies that destroy. 17 But in that coming day, no weapon turned against you shall succeed, and you will have justice against every courtroom lie. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. This is the blessing I have given you," says the Lord.    TLB

We are promised His peace. And whatever the tempest that blows, and the waves toss high in the air, yet we are built on the foundation of Jesus Christ our Cornerstone. As a citizen of heaven, we are taught by the Lord. His government is just and far. We live in much peace and terror shall not come near us.
Yes in the days of Isaiah there was the blacksmith and he had weapons for his work and he made weapons for war.

But today, we have the Holy Spirit in us. Our heritage is that we live by truth. His Word prevails in all situations and when we lift it up, we allow the Holy Spirit to bring our righteousness to light for others to see. It is in our abiding daily, that we move and remain fixed through whatever upheaval or plan of the enemy. We speak what the Holy Spirit declares to us.

In closing:
The Lord spoke this in Isaiah 45:23-25
23 I have sworn by Myself, the word is gone out of My mouth in righteousness and shall not return, that unto Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear [allegiance]. 24 Only in the Lord shall one say, I have righteousness (salvation and victory) and strength [to achieve]. To HIM shall all come who were incensed against Him, and they shall be ashamed. 25 In the Lord shall all the offspring of Israel be justified (enjoy righteousness, salvation and victory) and shall glory.

Speaking His Word will cause knees of the enemy to bow. And that even means us when we use any complaint against another. Our thinking must be of His thoughts for they are higher than others. His ways are higher than ours. And it is in His truth we win. It is in Him, we are kept to fight the good fight with faith-filled words, adhering to truth and prevailing to live in unity forever with Him. Amen

In the Heart of a Nation

What have we seen in the nation like Israel? Have we searched the pages of the Bible to read it and find what the "heritage" looked like for those who walked generation after generation with God and what it probably looked like for those who did not walk the paths of peace with God?  No, many went their own way into idolatry and lusts of every kind and ended up dead well before their years were spent!
Today, is our heart set to God's heart in the plan for America? I often see pictures, artworks in galleries and many on display in the nearest photo gallery of that which captures one's heart. I see that which people seem to long for, have lived and left for another country, or else were uprooted deliberately to be brought to a nation they knew nothing of or even cared about.
In all my years, I always remember having the opportunities in school to have history lessons on our forefathers of this great nation. I remember how it was begun so many hundreds of years ago. And in all my learning of this country, I am in awe of the founding fathers persistence to keep pursuing forward for God. There is a program on the Christian Channel "Faith in History" given by William Federer. I find it on channel 377 TCT.....3:30 p. m. weekdays. In this program, he relates historic truths and the cost many of those paid in the early days of this country. Of late, I have even seen some presidents spoken of in the "light of God and His Word".
I believe that "light" is shining on us today. In this hour will we be found those who will pray for our country, pray that "it's " best days are ahead and not behind?

I grew up in a state where people sought out justice and for the vastness of it in the early days, they deputized men who would as a team work together to see that those breaking the law would be brought back alive for justice to be served. I remember reading and hearing stories that my great grand-parents passed along. They spoke of how the civilized world in those early states of this country were anything, but civilized.

My heart has always been that which God had placed in me. I would take in all that knowledge and then spend time out of doors to see the vastness of God and His beauty that is all around. People today spend hours writing with paint cans all types of graffiti on say train cars and buildings. Although those belong to others, still people are writing on that which does not belong to them. They try to get over the truth that they long for another country. They let others know they feel the lesser and less fortunate in this vital country where people can work, people can dream, and people can make a difference. But it is like anything we try to do with others, it takes "team" work.

My heart seeks the Father's heart for our country. I seek His direction and how to pray for this place of beauty and how it was forged by men who had hearts after God! In His plan all lives matter and it was as such for this country and yet, in all that was still not slavery seen in those first colonies of this nation?  But such stories are being revealed today of those who came from Africa made a difference in this nation. They came from England, France, Italy, and other European countries. Some came with the German sounding names, yet they came to live a life free to worship, to live to have family together and live to see another day flourishing AND  not by trying to JUST survive.
In seeing this program and especially about the founding fathers and their vital signatures on a document that in the long run cost them, not only sometimes their very lives, but also their families, their homes and livelihood as well, they would not have a changed a thing they did to be in America. They left religious bondage in some cases and others just left who had no rights to who they could or would worship!
Today, we have many streaming into this nation who do not want to be known. They desire others to not know their agenda's. In the early years of this country, many entered through Ellis Island and gave their information. In this vast melting pot of so many nations, would it not still be vital to give the information of what your name is, what you intend and if you will work with a dream of just live off the government??
THERE WAS A CHRISTIAN MAN WHO HAD A DREAM! And like him, we too, continue to dream that our nation will be like it was strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We have a dream that millions will know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Yes we too have a dream, that many will come to peace in His name and under His leadership as Lord.

Jesus said this thousands of years ago and it still hold so true today:
John 8:30-36
30 As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." 33 They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, 'You will be made free'?" 34 Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. NKJV

I believe if people come with the knowledge of leaving that bondage behind, they will move through and gain a freedom. Jesus said those who abide in Him are His disciples indeed. But He said if you abide in MY WORD! And the people He spoke too were those in bondage as to sin...........He spoke of them as "slaves". But the son who abides in the Words of God, that which Jesus gave us will be the son who abides forever.
The knowledge we truly need comes through Jesus and that abiding.

Where do our "hearts" reside? Are we in the past? I believe people who came from other countries hundreds of years ago were torn away from families and from their homes they knew. Many knew much hardship and pain, but those who kept seeking the "better" life kept their hearts to living as the free. Churches were built and people knew God. In the hardships of the twentieth century many became aware of the evil of men's hearts in the great holocaust of such magnitude. And yet it is occurring today and great magnitudes of Christian families are being decimated in magnitudes that whole cities are non-existent. Very few people remain in a once thriving city there in the Eastern country of Syria and city of Aleepo. I viewed recently on CNN a woman journalist who moved through quickly to document the holocaust. She went through there not staying long in any one area of the country. For it was for her safety and the teams, that they would move and cover the news of the holocaust. In one viewing we saw  the very few who gather each day at the remaining well of water in Aleepo, and they range in age of about 70 years of age to about 20 years of age. The handful who remain of children were being moved out of "danger". Yes many Christians in those eastern middle nations are being destroyed. Their once thriving cities are rubble heaps today with no car traffic and no visible business anywhere. There is no lights on and no grocery stores to shop at for food.
There are no medics found!

In years gone by, many came to this country.........and they came with few belongings in hand. They came from religious bondage, from slavery to slavery, from more than enough to down right lacking in food, medicines and the such. This country was founded on the principle that all men could be free. It was the land of the free and the home of the brave!
We must keep our eyes open to what God would be speaking and giving us in this hour for this vital nation. Let's remember that to be a son, we must act like the son and not like the alien, the slave. We must have our sights on God and His Word just like our forefather's of this nation.

No, I was not related to them by blood, but I hold in my heart what they held in theirs and that all men can be free. It is in the relationship with God and holding His Words to our heart that we will go forth in freedom that is truly of God and not of man or men.
To be the brave, we must have courage and in truth to abide in Him, and hold our faith up as that shield that if God be for us, then who can possibly be against us? His word must have a place in our hearts.

Will we write the "vision" on our hearts today and pray for "the brave" to rise out of hiding? Will we seek God and His plan like the forefathers did so many hundreds of years ago?
Today I encourage  you to not fear! Be willing to proclaim, to publish a vision that God is for us. Be willing to open those flood gates of praise to Him and let others know you believe this to be a great nation that is one nation wholly under God! Set your foreheads like flint, and speak with confidence that God will do what He planned for America. Pray that He will show you where you stand in this defining hour of strength and courage in God who is more than enough to accomplish what we put into His hands to do. Let's set our faith in Him and His Word. Let's have the fear of God that is written about in Proverbs 8:13.
Proverbs 8:13...The fear of the LORD is to hate evil, pride, arrogance, and the evil way. The knowledge we must know is that which is from God. We desire His wisdom to live the moral life which is toward being holy.

If one desires to go back to their "own" country, then they should be able to do so without fear. What we hold in our hearts will certainly be seen. And in that inward attitude, our conduct is seen on the outside. Ours is to be that which departs from evil. And in every circumstance of life we are to choose God and His way. Our choosing God is loving His way, is doing right and having a life that is living in the fear of the Lord!

It will cost you something! But can you hide forever? No, it is time to rise and shine! For you will look like "love" to others. Choosing God is choosing to be "the brave". Put on that shield of faith and the breastplate of righteousness. Set your sights on God to hear Him speak and then be "ready for the adventure of your life". I am, are you?

Set the spiritual authority you walk in and know through God and remind God of this one passage given to us:

Amos 5:21-24..............21 "I hate, I despise your religious feasts;
I cannot stand your assemblies.
22 Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them.
Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.
23 Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24 But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream! NIV
Our traditions mean nothing to God. What we esteem as our heritage brings no life. The only life that can be found is in Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory!
WE have nothing to bring the Father but our hearts. He will not listen to the music and have no regard for that with which we bring to worship Him. He truly desires our hearts, FIRST AND FOREMOST. He will not regard my latest new outfit, or your new car. He will not regard how we speak and teach AND give Him no glory.  He looks on the "heart"!

Jeremiah 17:9-10.....................9 "The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
10 I, the LORD, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings.   NKJV

I love this verse: Proverbs 16:1..........To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue. NIV
We may make many plans in our heart but God answers what comes from what we speak. If we hold evil against another, evil will visit the house of the evil speaking person. What we hold in our hearts will be seen and it will be heard!

Father, let justice roll on like a river and righteousness like a never-failing stream. We pray in Jesus' name, that we know the heart is a deceitful thing, desperately wicked and that You search the heart and test the mind. YOU test giving to every man according to his ways. According to the fruit of his doings. Lord we pray that Your justice roll on like a mighty river. What was established in the beginning for this country, may it be seen in the land again. We know there to be many prayer warriors set like flint to pray out Your will for this nation. May it be truly one nation under God. May those who have set themselves to rule with evil and a heavy hand be sent backwards. May their devices come on their own heads, on their own children. For we seek that which is life everlasting, and life that is of goodness and peace in Jesus Christ. We can certainly pray for others, but the Word speaks in John 15:7-8............. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. NKJV

Father, we understand by this that spiritual authority is by abiding in You and the words You have given us. And when we do abide there, we ask what we desire and it is done! It is completed, the finished!
By this You our Father is glorified. Yes we expect to bear much fruit so we will be Your disciples forever.
We stand in the place of "Faith" and we speak with boldness, that we will not turn to the left but we keep like the one with the discerning heart that acquires knowledge and to have the ears of the wise seeking it out. (Proverbs 18:15)

We pray out of our hearts for this nation under one God.........Who is the Almighty, the Everlasting Father, the Great I am in our midst. We pray for the Wonderful Counselor and King of Glory to take  His rightful place in people's hearts and His place to rule forever. We know He is coming soon and many are in the valley of decision. Father we set our hearts to compel others by the Holy Spirit in us that unto Jesus is life and unto any other is to death. We desire God's family to be united in One Heart in God who is above all. It is in Him that we live and move and have our being. Amen.

Is it Praying or Is It Begging?

Ephesians 6:13-18
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.   NIV

Ephesians 6:13-18
13 So use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up.

14 But to do this, you will need the strong belt of truth and the breastplate of God's approval. 15 Wear shoes that are able to speed you on as you preach the Good News of peace with God. 16 In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. 17 And you will need the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit-which is the Word of God.

18 Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit's wishes. Plead with him, reminding him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere.     TLB

Are we the pray-er person or the beggar person? Do we take our place and stand..........even doing every thing we must do in any circumstance, trial or tribulation............we are to be the standing not the one lying down say, or speaking, "Woe, is me!"
In verse 18 in TLB.....plead with Him, reminding Him of your needs.................plead..........standing in defense, claiming the Word of God as the force to be reckoned with.............that defense that stands, not denying the facts, but speaking on the side of truth that can and will rule over the enemy.

Standing firm is that our feet are planted and holding in a stance of a "victor" not the crumbling saint from a busy few days of ministry to the community or to other churches! With feet ready to run in the peace of God that is the refreshing, the life-giving force of God Himself, we look like the "victor".
I like the The Living Bible on verse 15............wear shoes that are able to speed you on as you preach the Good News of peace with God. Amen!

E. M. Bounds said, “The prayers of God’s saints are the capital stock in heaven by which Christ carries on His great work upon the earth.”

Every time we enter into a time of prayer , we are enforcing God’s will upon the earth. It is we, ourselves, who are to stir up this gift of prayer in us. We are not to become paralyzed by a word spoken by the world into our lives. Some people become paralyzed by a report by a doctor of a serious situation.  They become paralyzed that their checking account shows no money in account, yet their paycheck was just direct-deposited. Still others, can become paralyzed with a fear like "what if I cannot find the right words, or what if I cannot find the right scriptures to pray?"

We must always remember that His kingdom is everlasting and it is life to us. We are to be ready with His Word, ready in prayer and make a difference not only for our lives, but for others as well.
We each have a sphere of influence. God gave Jesus 12 disciples. Jesus prayed for them and they rocked this world. (John 17:24)

Do we pray for those in leadership with us? Or do we consider them not important to the plan of God?
Our very attention should be on those God has placed around us. We should be willing to pray for those we are involved with on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Persevering is to keep going; not lose heart or get discouraged. To truly get the answer, we persevere and see the manifestation of God’s answer in our lives. (example: like a restored marriage)

Our prayer is for people, and as the body of Christ we are told in Colossians 4:3….to continue in prayer in order for the work of the ministry to be able to take place. In prayer, we understand that conflicts, strife and interruptions can occur. But again, we should not be taken off from the assignment of prayer with said interruptions, strife or conflicts. We should always want to promote prayer that has the fruitfulness and effectiveness of the Holy Spirit in our lives. That with His power of love, peace, long-suffering, joy, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control……….it is the living in the Spirit of God, abiding in His presence……..that we have a powerful walk of the spirit.   (scripture reference: Galatians 5:22-26.........................22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. NKJV)

We should make the same statement Jesus made........"THAT He who is of GOD hears GOD’S WORDS………”   “That of myself I can do nothing; BUT AS MY FATHER TAUGHT ME, I SPEAK THESE THINGS.” “He who has sent me gave me a command, what I should say, and what I should speak. Therefore, whatever  I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.  (scripture references below:)

Jesus said:  John 8:47……47 He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God." …NKJV    John 8:28….28 Then Jesus said to them, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself;  but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. NKJV   John 12:49-50………49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak."   NKJV

God is actively seeking and searching for someone to fill the gap by praying for people and nations. One who stands in the gap is an “intercessor”. God is looking for those people who will pray a hedge of protection around a person or nation. It only happens through prayer. ( Scripture reference:  Ezekeil  22:30………30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. NKJV)
John 16:22-24
22 Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you. 23 And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.                  NKJV

Jesus was talking about the relationship He had with His disciples. They would have the opportune time coming that they could ask something in His (Jesus' name) and receive it!

John 17:13-26
13 "I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
20 "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
24 "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
25 "Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26 I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them." NIV

Jesus said, "MY prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. "  Do not take from the trials or tribulations, but protect them from the enemy, form the devil who came to steal, kill and destroy!

"They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth." AND He said, " MY prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message."
"That all may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world  know that I have sent them into the world. For them, I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified."

When we pray as Jesus, understanding we are in this world and will face trials and tribulations, yet we are to be continually sanctified in the Word.............and pray for those around us and those who will believe IN JESUS THROUGH THE MESSAGE WE GIVE THEM.

So are we the begging crowd, or the praying crowd? Do we follow those examples Jesus left to us?
Every time we have opportunity to speak either from a an actual pulpit, a podium or just stand in front of the crowd, we are to let people know we are the saved, the Redeemed, and bring glory to His name. If we do not do that, then we are no different than the world!
What message do we send?

Our influence is important. If people show up for a service, are we walking in reverence toward God or are we blatant, and just see people walk out of a service? Hopefully those who left will return, although I cannot imagine why, when they see us the body of Christ act so much like the world.

"What kind of impression did I leave.........was it godly or worldly?"
Did anyone see " love" in me for others or................?

Moving in godly fear.......what does it look like? A godly fear, moving through our days in a reverence toward God and knowing He is mighty! Godly fear is shunning that which is sinful in the eyes of God! God is holy and seeks us to follow Him in the daily journey of life. He is not some weak old man sucking on a bottle of medicine for an ulcer complaining He what He will do next. No, He is the Creator! HE is God ALMIGHTY!  He speaks and it is done!

Do our children and grand-children see us as being different? OR, are all the kids, parents, and grand-parents acting the same?
Let us not be that which is rude to others, the cruel, the grumpy............and obnoxious..............they are the toxic!! Oh yes, God still loves. He created "love". If we never attend church, then God is fine with that. But ultimately we are the ones who lose out toward knowing His love and fellowship with those believer's we could be meeting and spending time with at each meeting or service.

If we reflect on any service of late, will we be reminded of this scripture? 1 Corinthians 13:3 Though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity (God's kind of love), it profiteth me nothing. If we deliver a message or even a "testimony" will we give it in God's love or will it just be the negative, the false, the blatant? Though I went to round up those to come, but have no love toward those I am spending time with in leadership...........then what does that mean...........to me and mine? Well, it means the devil is coming to your house.

Psalm 62:7-8
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.    NIV

I have many opportunities in the last year to write on prayer and on holiness toward God and His kingdom.  All we have in Christ is based on GRACE! As Jesus laid down His life in love for us......then we should have the same mindset of laying down our lives to pray for others all on the GRACE that was extended to us. In that knowing of His holiness, and revering His pleasures and desires, we move out of that land where we have faith in and of ourselves in the "doing" for God..........BUT RATHER MOVE TO THE LAND where we have faith for what He has done for us!

Father, today when we pray, we desire to pray the way Jesus did. Not in any flippant or lax attitude toward You! . We desire to not be the "lazy" or the begging person. We have read in scriptures about those who want or demand something done their way instead of seeking Your plan. We know You can answer us for something simple like a parking space closer TO THE FRONT DOOR, when the long walk will not work today, and that is not being selfish.  But in looking at the Israelites in the wilderness time, we see an anger being kindled as in Numbers 11:5. These folks demanded meat, and they got it straight away for thirty full days of "meat". But in searching out the scriptures, we see that in Psalm 106 and verse 15 that they certainly got their "meat" but You Father also sent them a leanness of their souls. We know this to mean that they were not gaining in the knowledge of You because these unhappy souls desired meat and prayed with a great dislike in their hearts. They had much hostility Father. We desire to not become like those who despise YOUR leading and direction for surely You have good things for us. These lacked any new knowledge of YOU and suffered for it. They died without seeing the Promised Land and fulfilling YOUR plan for them.
May we not despise the time to minister Your Message at the podium or the pulpit. We ask YOU to show us when we are dealing in that direction and allowing the adversary a foot hold into our business, in our lives,  or in ministry or any other thing we desire to grow and be fruitful. Our salvation came through Jesus and His shed blood and our honor is dependent on You.

Father, we saw Jesus predict the time of the end. It is where we find ourselves today. And He said, "but as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be (Matthew 24:37) Despite all the serious things going on today, people are still going about "those normal routines". Without considering what is on the horizon coming toward them, they take not a moment to think or ponder on those major events and if those major events will be affecting them personally.
Father, we pray not to be the easily distracted. We desire to know Your thoughts concerning these days and how the time is short! Help us know what we must consider, and how deadly serious things are multiplying on the earth. Our praying is done in love, it is daily and it is in the love we express toward others. I pray that everyone who reads and prays this today will join with others and give what YOU have told them to give in the "love" that only comes from YOU our Father. It is Jesus' name we pray and we do believe our best days in prayer are ahead! Amen.
