Compassion Fatigue

What is compassion fatigue and who has it? Who suffers with that really needed compassion for others...........to love others as we love ourselves? Maybe you know someone who has that kind of  "compassion fatigue" for another!

Today we find many people are "compassion fatigued". They rather shoot now and talk later. Yikes!  But to have compassion for others is to know that love and compassion of the Father. He the Creator of heaven and earth. He called God, who planned for man to be made. And many people, unbeliever’s and believer’s today like to play that card of “love your neighbor as you love yourself” and sneer to make demands on others for the vaccination and such! You know it for you have heard it too: “you do this and do it now!”

But Scripture tells us to love God first  and to love Him with all our heart, soul and strength.

Mark 12:30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. 31 and the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.

So how many are keeping God’s commands? You know the one like loving God first and with all our heart?

IN keeping step with God, we know His love and be filled with that love ( agape’ kind of love) especially when you spend time in worship to Him and in reading 1 John, 2 John and 3 John. But some keep their belief of love is all the same, even like God’s, but it is not.

I know some who are just keeping an agenda for the means to a certain end. But they should know God has the last word in this! Psalm 2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision. 5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure:

This Lord is lower case "lord" meaning Jesus the Lord. He shall hold them in derision. Yes, have you read the book of Revelation. I am so surprised many times by the though process of many Christians thinking Jesus turns the cheek at every situation of anger or harm. They seem to view Jesus as there but just to blend in. No blending end, one loses their doorway. They try to leave by the exit door when trying something knew like drugs and they find themselves following a path into a brown paper bag.

Loving God is really knowing Him. And knowing Him is through His Son Jesus Christ. And the way is present in Him. It is a narrow gate. Is singular with Him indeed. And we know Him better the more we call out His name, HIM who lives and not by calling out a dead person’s name.

That only brings what dark activity they were in before their dying.

Compassion is only in God and it is where justice is found! COMPASSION: in the Hebrew......mercy....to be gentle to another. ....to have concern for another.........

Psalm 103:11-14...........11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children,
So the LORD pities those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.   NKJV

This verse in Psalm 103 reminds of His great mercy toward those who fear HIM! It reminds us that His great compassion exceeded what many believed could happen, but hoped for, as the prophets saw the coming of a Savior to the World. They saw the day when Jesus would appear and all things would change for good! Amen.

MERCY: OT: 2617...........checed (kheh'-sed);
from OT:2616; kindness; by implication (that placed toward God) piety: rarely (by opposition) reproof, or (subject.) beauty:

KJV - a good (-liness, -ness) deed, kindly, (as in loving-), merciful (kindness), mercy

So in understanding the compassion Jesus has, we must have that same compassion. It is in spending time with the God of love who has compassion on mankind to send a Savior. How great is His mercy toward those who fear Him. He remembers we are dust!

I think how awesome that when we show a fear to HIM, a fear to our God that He is God, giving an honor and respect to Him, and seeing this beauty and yes as a reproof to us that shows to the outside world we are different. Displaying a character of God, by showing a beauty that is merciful, is displayed in loving those who may not look like us, sound like us and dress like us. We are to be like Jesus displayed for all to see!

These specific ingredients are found in the kingdom of God, is not found among man’s plan or instructions. No the kingdom came through Jesus, and that is a merciful God who desired His children to live by faith in His Son!

Matthew 5:7......7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.   NIV

Again these come about by knowing God and His God-kind of love and compassion.

Romans 12:9-17......................9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. 17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. NKJV

So meditating on Romans 12 and starting in verse 9 that love is to be without hypocrisy.

It is to be a compassion believer that has no deceit, but speaks truth. It is a compassion that has no "masks", no covering up, but a true upright heart looking out for another person. It is one that does not trick another but speaks and operates in an openness to benefit another person’s care.

We become the "good report" on another person. We become the voice that lifts up the weary, the defeated, that one which the world says is different because of color, or ethnicity or even by youth. God created us in His image and that certainly means to look like Him, sound like Him and act as He would act in any given situation.

Our Character would appear as:

1. giving preference to another

2. not lagging in being diligent to do what we can for the weary, like Jesus feeding them the Word and feeding them with the natural to keep their bodies going

3.fervent with a fire in our spirit man to light other's with a fire for the things of God

4.serving the Lord to how He has called us to serve Him.....giving Him glory for all that happens in your life

5.rejoicing in hope with everyone, even the low, the broken in heart, the downcast, those who have lost their effectiveness in serving the Lord

6.patient in tribulation, lifting the name of Jesus and have a camp around the Word that gives a yell that the victory is ours

7.continuing in prayer, just like we saw Jesus do, day in and day out......

8. distribute that which should go to the saints in regard.......to.........their raiment, food or any need considerable for them at the time

9.showing hospitality to those who come

10. bless and do not curse

And wrap all this up in the verse 9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Wrap all this in that compassionate love that abhors what is evil and will not participate with evil toward another human being or created thing of God and then have no thought BUT TO CLING TO THAT WHICH IS GOOD FOR ALL!

Sounds easy, right? Must not be for there are many today who are "compassion fatigued"!

Isaiah 50:4...............4 "The Lord GOD has given Me

The tongue of the learned,

That I should know how to speak

A word in season to him who is weary.

He awakens Me morning by morning,

He awakens My ear

To hear as the learned.  NKJV

OT:3287.....ya` eph (yaw-afe';) from OT:3286; fatigued; exhausted

KJV - the  faint, the weary.

Like Isaiah, we can speak a word in season to him who is weary.......him who is fatigued and exhausted, the one who is faint and about to drop. We can speak to someone who "left church" a while ago, and we can speak to the baker or the butcher who just needs the Word of life. Will you speak it?

Pray to have the boldness to speak now to others and speak truth with no masks, no jumping through hoops, but display the beauty of God in the place we meet someone who is weary, dry, and exhausted. Speak in that strength of loving God with all your heart to reach out to others, not for an agenda but that which is life in the Lord. You may be the one who keeps them from making a "bad" move towards another and keep them all safe by speaking the powerful Word of God into people's lives!

We have such a wonderful view of Jesus and the love displayed through His sacrifice on the Cross. What a great sacrifice God gave for us all! We should be those who will speak as the tongue of the learned. Speaking a word in season to those who are weary, faint, fatigued and exhausted because the Lord called us to rest in Him….to find rest for our souls and carry His presence, that tangible anointing where all things are possible to the believer.

Value His presence above all else. Today, we believe and expect to be that "one" who will move and give the Word of God, that will empower others to be refreshed and keep them from the wiles of the enemy.

God first with all our heart, soul and strength. AND then God in His love in our hearts will flow out to our neighbor, for only then is alignment for truth exhibited and obeyed for all to see the glory of the Lord in this place. Amen.

Battlefields Have No Benches

If you have ever visited a major battlefield, most likely you have seen the mapped out areas of where the strategic battle was fought! You might have seen what those men were defending in regard to that region and you probably saw some pictures of their military dress for war! On the other hand or other side of the battle scene, you would note another military group dressed in differing colors and maybe even weapons, still you would know this epic event would be done on a field, with no time-outs nor rest on the bench! No, those prepared to defend the object of that war is by being engaged, active and ready to respond to those against you! We certainly have battle scenes playing out all over the world today. Some wars playing out can be seen in cities, in the suburbs and possibly in the country. Some are standing against fraud, against lies, against those who desire the agenda to rule over many by making their own laws and we have even seen some give in to that kind of pressure because of a misguided mercy! Yet God's laws rule this universe, rules this planet and those planets which are in the same orbit, as well as in our lives if we have properly maintained that being willing to hold it and keep it: truth!
Today, we must be willing to defend the truth! You do not require a degree to do that, no, you should be a believer in Jesus Christ and hold Him as Savior and Lord in your heart!
What we defend is what He has given to declare His truth and every man a liar. Truth exists and it exists in Jesus and when He is in our heart, it should prevail there as well.

He sent us His Holy Spirit, a Person, to guide us into truth and not the fallacies of which the world is trying to instill in people today! Prayer should be for our communities, those neighborhoods that the youth will know the truth of God and not the lie of a culture!

Romans 5:6-14  Amp. Bible….6 Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the Holy Spirit is life & [soul] peace [both now & forever]. 7[That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God’s law; indeed it cannot. 8 So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him. 9 But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really] dwells within you [directs & controls you]. But if anyone does not possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of his [he does not belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God. (Romans 8:14)    10 But if Christ lives in you [then although] your [natural] body is dead by reason of sin & guilt, the spirit is alive because of the righteousness [that He imputes to you]. 11 And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you. 12 So then, brethren, we are debtors, but not to the flesh [we are not obligated to our carnal nature], to live [a life ruled by the standards set up by the dictates] of the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the dictates of the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the Holy Spirit you are habitually putting to death ( making extinct, deadening) the evil deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really & genuinely] live forever. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

From verse 12, we are not obligated to our carnal nature, to live a life ruled by the standards set up by the dictates of the flesh ( or that which is man or men) for that only brings death to you. But we are to live through the power of the Holy Spirit so that we habitually put to death that of the flesh, that of man that is lies and not the truth of God. For we as believers are to live genuinely forever in that which God has given us through His Son. He came to deliver truth for He is truth. He is the way, the truth and life.
So when He spoke of the Kingdom of God, we could see the gospel will separate that which is of God and that which is of the world, men's dictates and fallacies!

The Gospel WILL Separate: seen as a division among family members! Lines are drawn where those committed to God’s kingdom require truth!  Commitment to Jesus and the kingdom will separate. Jesus told those who followed Him that those with Him were His mother, brothers and sisters: Matthew 12:47-50 NKJV 47 Then one said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.” 48 But he answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” 49 And he stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers!” 50 for whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

1.   The “faithful”, those who are God’s family are those who operate spiritually in the kingdom.

2.   Jesus valued His spiritual relationship with His disciples above His physical relationship with His own family.

3.   Jesus went the way of the cross and each of us must lay down our lives and take up His and live for that which is one as that “king and priest” where authority rule of that kingdom is seen and heard through us! Following Jesus is being a servant-follower. It will take a personal qualification to lead in authentic ministry that reveals truth always.

The apostles were instructed to wait for the power from on high. (Luke 24:49

1.    It was both Peter and Paul who emphasized the Holy Spirit baptism in Acts 8:19.

2.   You and I must experience that same baptism of power in our lives! For the Lord is a consuming fire. The true presence of God is felt or actually seen through manifestations. And the reactions vary from excitement to a believer, a questioning attitude to one seeking God and His presence, and to another can appear as a total resistance to him with an unbelieving spirit.

Our Culture will not have a holy fire in it nor was there a holy fire in the culture where the apostles gave the GospelWhat has been given is that of Jesus Christ. God will use His word to encourage our hearts. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11  God has purpose for all those created in His image. He sent His Son to save them, but only those who confess Him are saved, only those who believe in His saving grace will see God! God is about encouraging those who walk with the Lord.

Christ is Intolerant to the things of the world! Jesus told the religious group that He was God and they crucified Him! Luke 22:66 As soon as it was day, the elders of the people, both chief priests and scribes, came together and led Him into their council, saying, 67 “If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He said to them, “If I tell you, you will by no means believe. 68 And if I also ask you, you will by no means answer me or let Me go. 69 Hereafter the Son of Man will sit on the right hand of the power of God.” 70 Then they all said, “Are You then the Son of God?” So He said to them, “you rightly say that I am.” 71 And they said, “What further testimony do we need? For we have heard it ourselves from His own mouth.

What was seen here, is a group of men whose feelings were hurt when Jesus spoke that He was God. You give voice to what God gives voice to being wrong and outside of His kingdom, and you will hear of such things as racism and the such against God and His truth! But truly God came to give truth to man so that they would know of the enemy's deceit and how he is going about destroying people's identities. The enemy is deceiving with lies to say that men can be women and women can be men. No, what these people need is someone who really loves them to tell them, God is for them as the man or woman He created them to be. So we pray for those being given the false doctrine of many genders when there is only two from the garden of Eden. Only two genders ( male and female) with such wonderful DNA together could create a small baby in the womb of loving parents. Such an identity planned by God to give identification to the truth of God in our lives. Yet there are those who truly take hold of the enemies lies to give to youth today and tell them this is okay! But for truth and sanity, it is wrong for anyone to take another person's identity and knowingly doing that is bringing hell closer to their own door.

Jesus voiced an affirmation to His being the “Son of God”!  This title expressed His exclusive oneness with God the Father! Jesus came to separate the holy of God from the profane of sinful man. He gave an affirming word of God: Luke 23:3 then Pilate asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” he answered him and said, “It is as you say."

Jesus lived by the Spirit of God! It was by Holy fire that causes chaff to burn. We are to abide in the Spiritual of the Holy Spirit and His power and never adopt the world’s way of thinking nor doing as in the things of transgender. Truly each young child is a gift to our future. Each is truly what God planned. We should readily keep a relationship with God,  choosing to stay within the boundary of His Word, to keep our ears open to hear the Holy Spirit speak and keep looking for restoration in our lives and to speak it over those young people and children in our community and this region of the Northwest! May each young child and youth know that they are purposed for good in God. That God created them in beauty where His image is seen.

WE see God Who shows no partiality. He wants all ethnic groups to hear the Gospel, and believe in His Son Christ Jesus. There is only one human race and it has one blood in Jesus Christ.  As the believers on the day of Pentecost received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues….we too as believers have been given the Holy Spirit.

The process continues, God is not finished. We have seen truth and seen false evidence. And that will continue in any culture, but we have been given power from on high just like Jesus had been given. A further worship to the Father is evident in us who believe. We spend time in this communion to make our boast in the Lord. We praise Him for His walk within our hearts. May the miraculous appear where those who are weary, who are the depressed and down-trodden.

Let's encourage others to walk in the ways of the Lord. This battlefield has no park benches! It is a place where your courage is tested, and truth should prevail. For truth without love is brutality. And love without truth is a lie! Be the "brave" to give God's love and the truth in this moment! Defend the word of God and teach it!

We are assured in this walk of truth: Jesus told us this in John 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, fora servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.  We are friends with Jesus. That is relationship that is safe and secure. The Lord is here and in our faith we speak His purpose, we pray His plan, we expect His moves among those who are the “poor” and believe He will return to take us home soon!

We choose not to tear others down but lift them by the word of God. We will not seek the praise of men nor will we inject our own opinions into situations. For those can turn out to be “”bullies”.  Humility is the greatest example we saw in Jesus, a precious gift! He was the sinless sacrifice and by His blood we are the redeemed. Within that we learn from mistakes made, always quick to recognize our faults and to grow into better people because of that sacrifice made for us! Philippians 3:13 reminds of us of this: Brethren,  I do not count myself  to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.

We thank Him that we are not the fearful, nor are we broken, but we rise in this hour to slay the giant of culture and worldly ways where the me, myself and I are served. Holy Spirit have your way in our lives this day, this month and this year. Have Your way that is power in us to slay those giants the spiritual narcissist.

We allow You, Holy Spirit, to surge through us as we pray. We allow You, the Holy Spirit room that we see that fire burn brightly for the Lord’s glory and to His praise.   We will stand in this hour to give His truth, to keep that light burning, so that we may boldly proclaim  the authority that has been given to us to expel false lies and to remind others of His soon return.

Resting in the Lap of the World is Dangerous!

Judges 16:4-20   .............4 Afterward it happened that he loved a woman in the Valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. 5 And the lords of the Philistines came up to her and said to her, "Entice him, and find out where his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and every one of us will give you eleven hundred pieces of silver."

6 So Delilah said to Samson, "Please tell me where your great strength lies, and with what you may be bound to afflict you." 7 And Samson said to her, "If they bind me with seven fresh bowstrings, not yet dried, then I shall become weak, and be like any other man." 8 So the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven fresh bowstrings, not yet dried, and she bound him with them. 9 Now men were lying in wait, staying with her in the room. And she said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" But he broke the bowstrings as a strand of yarn breaks when it touches fire. So the secret of his strength was not known.

10 Then Delilah said to Samson, "Look, you have mocked me and told me lies. Now, please tell me what you may be bound with." 11 So he said to her, "If they bind me securely with new ropes that have never been used, then I shall become weak, and be like any other man." 12 Therefore Delilah took new ropes and bound him with them, and said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" And men were lying in wait, staying in the room. But he broke them off his arms like a thread.

13 Delilah said to Samson, "Until now you have mocked me and told me lies. Tell me what you may be bound with." And he said to her, "If you weave the seven locks of my head into the web of the loom"-- 14 So she wove it tightly with the batten of the loom, and said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" But he awoke from his sleep, and pulled out the batten and the web from the loom.

15 Then she said to him, "How can you say, 'I love you,' when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times, and have not told me where your great strength lies." 16 And it came to pass, when she pestered him daily with her words and pressed him, so that his soul was vexed to death, 17 that he told her all his heart, and said to her, "No razor has ever come upon my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother's womb. If I am shaven, then my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man."

18 When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, "Come up once more, for he has told me all his heart." So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand. 19 Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him. 20 And she said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" So he awoke from his sleep, and said, "I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!" But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.   NKJV

Resting  in the things of the world is a dangerous place to be! We can see from the scripture passage of Samson, that even though he was called and could do exploits, it was obeying God that caused Samson's strength.

We can see this today with those who ultimately follow to close to the world and find their extreme choice is to stop off at the lap of that which seduces and bring us closer to death than to the life God intends for His children to have today!
Resting when weary is important. But the scripture declares.........

Isaiah 40:28-31..............28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the LORD,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. NKJV

We look into the life of Samson and see a man destined for what God called him to do for Israel. It was in the fourteenth chapter we see that Samson was wanting to marry a Pagan woman. She was a daughter of those who oppressed Israel. But it was God who purposed this secret against the Philistines.

There were many exploits that he performed due to the anointing on him. He could stand against many men and prevail to victory, but it was his love for women that caused his downfall. He found in Delilah a love that he thought he could have or needed. But he was proved so wrong! Samson fell to his fleshly lust for a woman.  Her snares were such that she oppressed him with her mere words to gain information she needed to give to the princes of the Philistines.  If Delilah was not a prostitute at the time she met Samson, she certainly gave in to prostitute for money given by the princes of the Philistines to gain the answer for Samson's great strength.
With her conniving tricks of words to deceive to gain the answer, he also lied, not once, not twice but three times that made her boiling mad at the time.
It is not a good thing to make light of the anointing God has placed on any one person. When saved, we are the "anointed" with the oil of the Holy Spirit residing in us. We are to take seriously that He is a Person and not a thing to exploit in any manner. He resides in us to resurrect us daily to the life God planned.
I also believe that Samson became weary after his sad dissolution of marriage to that "one" woman he married. Yet, in all that transpired and the acts of her family, and the community, Samson lost his wife. In all his doings for the Lord, he came up short with his longing to be in and of the world as well.
We see that in his relationship with Delilah.

Proverbs 21:16................16 A man who wanders from the way of understanding
Will rest in the assembly of the dead. .NKJV

In verse 19 of Judges 16, we should take note that in all his going and activity, he did not go back to his parents or to the Lord, but into the lap of Delilah. He went to rest in the lap of the world and be tormented by the same world that oppresses and destroys.
He goes into Delilah and falls down at her feet to lay his head in her lap!

It is important to remember the world had nothing in Jesus and it should nothing in us.

Acts 17:24-28...................24 God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.'  NKJV

It is in Him we have life, and it is in Him we have our being!

God is our length of days. God is our protection against the bullies, the brutes, any who try to bring us down by the words that kill.
Our rest is to in the Lord!
Hebrews 4:11-13...................11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
NKJV

In verse 17 of Judges 16, he opened his heart and told her everything. He readily made the confession to this woman and God left him to do the foolish thing. We were told in Judges 13 and verse 5 that Samson's consecration was to God for his strength. Samson was to attend to God and His leading every step of the way ordained for his life. But he did not do that!
With all the deceit and lies flying, all the passion for the woman and lose his hair too, what a fallen condition to find yourself in the lap of the world and no power to go forward in it.

In a formidable condition as this, we see the man Samson removed from society to serve in grinding at the mill.  Indignity brought shame upon his head, but while his hair began to grow, his heart had to have grown repentant of serving the things of the world.
We can find in Judges 16:28 that Samson called unto the Lord. And his prayer was simple. O Lord GOD remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

It was a prayer that was accepted by God!

I believe Samson humbled himself under the mighty hand of God to prevail that day.

Father, today we seek to please YOU. It our faith that pleases YOU! We come to humble ourselves and pray and  TO ultimately submit to Your plan and Word that speaks..........yes, exposes, sifts, analyzes and judges the very thoughts and purposes of our hearts. We will test our own actions that we might have appropriate self-esteem, without comparing ourselves to anyone else. It is the security of Your guidance that allows us to carry our own load with energy and confidence.
Father we run to Your wisdom and incline our ears to hear You speak Your words of truth to us. Today we desire not to be like Samson , but to see his example that pride and arrogance would be stripped away from us. We desire to humble ourselves under Your mighty hand that in time You may exalt us.
It is in the name of Jesus today, that we cast away the whole of our care [anxieties, all worries, all our concerns for the future,, once and for all] on You, for You care for us affectionately and care about us watchfully. We expect a life of victory and awesome deeds because our actions are done on behalf of a spirit humbly submitted to Your truth and Your righteousness. We stand being confident of this, that YOU who has began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

As Your words of spirit and truth are in living and active in us, we take our place to stand in power of the Holy Spirit and see exploits done for Your glory. Have Your way in our lives today and we will give YOU all the honor, all the glory and all the praise. We are humble and expect YOUR move on our behalf as humility and fear of You brings wealth, and honor and life TO US. Amen.
