Is this really Fruit Loops?

Fruit should appear as fruit and taste like it!
When our daughter had just completed kindergarten, the new school year was about to begin and there was a project of one cereal company to add a bonus packaged cereal to your big family sized box of cereal. To us, it meant someone was trying to manipulate our child ( or children) into this new way of eating too much sugar. And at the time, we had gotten a box of cereal, something like with bran but there was something added like a bonus called fruit loops was attached to the box.

Of course, when our daughter saw it, she asked for it. Not to have a fight about cereal, we opened it, although adding no milk to it, but only putting some in her hand for taste. Telling her to taste each color, and then she spoke that they all tasted the same. Then she said, " why would they call it fruit loops"? She tasted the last color exploding with the sugared flavor, she shook her head, and walked away and I am left holding this small box of cereal, oops I mean this box of sugar and put it away for good. ( And I was wondering how someone could get away with telling another as a child that the colored stuff was fruit!) Now anything from the beginning given as a lie will not make a foundation firm for anything!

On thinking about this early on today, I was reminded of an incident that is in the Old Testament. It was this: Genesis 38: It came to pass at that time that Judah departed from his brother's and visited a certain Adullamite whose name was Hirah. 2 And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite whose name was Shua, and he married her and went in to her. 3 So she conceived and bore a son, and he called his name Er. 4 She conceived again and bore a son, and she called his name Onan. 5 And she conceived yet again and bore a son and called His name Shelah. He was at Chezib when she bore him. 6 Then Judah took a wife for Er his first-born, and her name was Tamar. 7 But Er, Judah's firstborn was wicked in the sight of the LORD and the LORD killed him.

You know visiting others not with God, is everything outside of God and outside of purpose in God. Judah lusted after a daughter of a certain Canaanite whose name was Shua. From the Dake's study Bible, they listed Er as being fifteen years old when he took Tamar as his wife!

Genesis 38: 8 and Judah said to Onan, "Go in to your brother's wife and marry her and raise up an heir to your brother." 9 But Onan knew that the heir would not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in to his brother's wife, that he emitted on the ground, lest he should give an heir to his brother. 10 And the thing which he did displeased the LORD; therefore He killed him also. 11 Then Judah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law, "remain a widow in your father's house till my son Shelah is grown." For he said, "Lest he also die like his brothers." And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house.

Genesis 38:12 Now in the process of time the daughter of Shua, Judah's wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up to his sheep-shearers at Timnah, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite. 13 And it was told Tamar, saying, "Look, your father -in- law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep. 14 So she took off her widow's garments, covered herself with a veil and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place which was on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given to him as a wife. 15 Then he turned to her by the way, and said, " Please let me come in to you" ; for he did not know that she was his daughter-in-law. So she said, "what will you give me, that you may come in to me?" 17 And he said, "I will send a young goat from the flock." So she said, " "will you give me a pledge till you send it?" 18 Then he said, "What pledge shall I give you?" so she said, "Your signet and cord, and your staff that is in your hand." Then he gave them to her and went in to her and she conceived by him. 19 So she arose and went away, and laid aside her veil and put on the garments of her widowhood. 20 And Judah sent the young goat by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand, but he did not find her.

Genesis 38: 21 Then he asked the men of that place, saying, "Where is the harlot who was openly by the roadside?" and they said, "There was no harlot in this place." 22 So he returned to Judah and said, "I cannot find her. Also, the men of the place said there was no harlot in this place." 23 Then Judah said, "Let her take them for herself, lest we be shamed; for I sent this young goat and you have not found her." 24 And it came to pass, about three months after, that Judah was told, saying, "Tamar your daughter -in-law has played the harlot; furthermore she is with child by harlotry." So Judah said, "Bring her out and let her be burned!"

Genesis 38:25 When she was brought out, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, "By the man to whom these belong, I am with child." and she said, "Please determine whose these are---the signet, and cord and staff." 26  So Judah acknowledged them and said, "She has been more righteous than I, because I did not give her to Shelah my son." And he never knew her again. 27 Now it came to pass, at the time for giving birth, that behold, twins were in her womb. 28 And so it was, when she was giving birth, that the one put out his hand; and the midwife took a scarlet thread and bound it on his hand, saying, "this one came out first." 29 Then it happened, as he drew back his hand, that his brother came out unexpectedly; and she said, "How did you break through? This breach be upon you!" therefore his name was called Perez. 30 Afterward his brother came out who had the scarlet thread on his hand. and his name was called Zerah.

Humans can be moved by immoral acts. BUT Born-again people should not be moved by that in regards that they are regenerated by the Holy Spirit into living for God. But here we have a man who made a promise. Evidently the man was making promises he could not keep and she, Tamar, knew him for being the immoral and without restraint and integrity. For he had sent her away to live in her father's house till the boy, Shelah, became a man. Now remember in those days, the men mostly took young girls for wives, so Tamar was  probably not much older than Shelah when he was born.

Still, this Judah acted out a scene he had done before. His wife now gone and his time of living returned without her by his side, he goes to help shear his own sheep. And he sees this woman beside the two springs area. She has the look of the "harlot". She has on eye makeup and the attire of a harlot.  But knowing his habits, she requires his authority be given her. She required his signet, his cord and staff. So when the Adullamite shows up with a goat, the woman is not found. No one has seen "this harlot".

Interesting how you can get someone to see the harlot and others do not see! Judah's plan then is to tell no one of what occurred. But alas this Tamar is pregnant. And she has those objects in her possession. The righteous is seen and the unrighteous wanted to hide his real identity and the object of his pride being outwitted.

In truth, Judah rejected the covenant family's marriage traditions seen in Genesis 24:3 " and I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell;; Genesis 28:1 Then Isaac called Jacob and blessed him, and charged him and said to him: "You will not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan.  So here we have the son Er, and was the wicked person in the Lord's sight and married to Tamar!

So Tamar was left behind in that marriage when Er was killed because of wickedness. Then Onan would not mate with her for children and he was killed. Disreputable behavior can be seen when one starts to lie and call something what it is not. Because the father, Judah was enamored with those God said to stay away from, his own boys became like what he lusted about. His first son was wicked like those people Judah married into. And Onan, well, he chose to spill his own fluids on the ground and this was evil in the sight of God, too. It was Judah's marriage to the Canaanite woman that was the very first step into intermingling of God's people with a race that was the proverbial for its gross immorality. God had warned them not to do that. Judah fratenized with the world and paid a really big price.

Keeping authority is remembering to be righteous in the Lord. In describing the scene so clearly one would have seen this when Judah did not hesitate to bring Tamar to justice. No quiver would be found in his voice. He would not have shuddered in any kind of fearfulness to have his first son's wife brought up on these charges. It was the Israelitish society that must be preserved from folly and much wickedness. Preparations are made. The stake is planted in the ground, the pile of wood is arranged and the crowd gathers. Tamar walks into the scene. ( to me it seems like a horror movie!) But she carries the authority given her. He, Judah, who called for the justice now himself  must face the justice of God!

She was righteous in what she did although dangerous.Yes, this was about reputations, pride and honoring or worshiping the wrong thing! If Judah had remained within the family heritage of covenant seen in Genesis 24:3 or Genesis 28:1, then he would have not had his life revealed as the idolater and fornicator.

Busy about life, and he forgot about God! Busy in his own ways, and he failed. He was not a man given to truth. He refused to give his son Shelah to Tamar. And she, who was influenced by no other means than that which was the common to all Israelitish women, that desire to have children who might be heirs of the promise made to Abraham, did what she could for a family she knew was hers.

Conflicts appear! And we are to be those who commit to peaceful ends, but conflict is with a fight for righteous ways in righteous behavior having that characteristic of integrity. For we prevail by God's words, a truth with no threats but warnings indeed and it only comes to those committed to work it out in the justice of God.

Even to a child of seven, our daughter did not see fruit. All she saw was a box with colored objects which the label read out was that of fruit. It did not appeal to her and from a cereal manufacturer maintaining their voice of saying it was so was wrong then and it is wrong today! Even so to us as adults should not be chasing after that which has no integrity, no life or peace in it. Because if you follow after lies for long enough, you will either become like the lie spoken or you will fight not to win over another, but fight to prevail in truth where your character is seen of righteousness and not to be appearing as a fruit loop loaded with sugar and absolutely no substance for good!

Jesus Ala Carte'

Asking others if they have been a disciple for prayer, most would look at you with that “deer in the headlight look” and think you might be joking! And then they might make that move away from you just in case you are expecting them to pray at that moment with them. Not sure why people frown on praying to God and why they get alarmed to pray in front of other people. You certainly do not mind many people standing over you talking when a surgeon operates on you to remove something or make something right that fails to work accurately.

One thing though I have noted when having conversation about prayer, is that as they move slowly away from where you stand or sit, they ultimately speak of those “things” that must be done and done in that day and hour, so that praying would take all their time or afternoon away! My husband and I always have a scheduled time together to pray: for the president, this nation and the believers who walk with Jesus! It is easy to schedule that time when you know that you are reading scripture together and taking communion to remember the Lord’s sacrifice. But for all those ingredients in discipleship, the area many of us struggle with most is ( the ) prayer itself.

In regard to published article written in 2018, the estimated time for a typical Christian layman to pray was some three to four minutes each day. Certainly that full-time Christian worker averages to about seven minutes per day. But this is sad to hear, when we know our Lord Jesus prayed early in the morning, at night and during the night as well.

Even from the Cross at Calvary He prayed: “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit. “ Luke 23:46

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do!” Luke 23:34

If you have ever led a prayer group or was a part of a prayer team you could all think back of some of the remarks people would speak for not praying: like too busy or too tired, long time at work today, do not know what to pray about, do not feel like praying, feel guilty while praying and firmly speaking, or like this one, they did not believe they made a difference in their time of praying.

If we aren’t captivated by God, prayer is a tedious task indeed. I like what Dutch Sheets wrote in his 'Give Him 15 today July 19, 2021, where he wrote that spiritual warfare often entails warfare against mindsets. He regarded the mindsets of the individual but also wrote of those mindsets of an entire culture. (and wow, do we have some strange mindsets of a strange culture indeed) He was writing of the word of God that is spoken into the spiritual realm that absolutely addressed the situation, and works to divide between truth and deception. Praying the Word over people can bring deliverance to those trapped by wrong mindsets.

One of my favorite pastors many years ago had given us this passage in Isaiah 54:17. And in prayer he used it many times.

As that given in Isaiah 54:17…no weapon forged against you will prevail and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. ( Isaiah 54:17) If this is our heritage, then most certainly we should be using it. From this, God proclaims that His people will withstand all attacks because of His protection.

For if God is our Lord, then communion should not be about wrestling with God for an answer, but understand that He has sent forth His word. His Word is manifested in the New Testament.  And how do we take His manifested Word? Do we receive His speaking or do we want to slice and dice the Gospel to fit our whims. Some just like to have Jesus Ala Carte'! But God is about relationship with much communion about His desire. He has set the table and it is a feast indeed.

Isaiah 30:18 Therefore the LORD will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are those who wait for Him.

Isaiah 65:1-2 I was sought by those who did not ask for Me; I was found by those who did not seek Me. I said, ‘Here I am, here I am.’ To a nation that was not called by My name.  2 I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people. Who walk  in a way that is not good, according to their own thoughts; ( from this God pitifully reaches out to a rebellious people. We see the apostle Paul mention it in Romans 10:20-21. The two different people: Gentiles in verse 20 and verse 21 is Israel.)

Jeremiah 33:3 is my favorite. Again from a pastor who was of the healing ministry in Jesus, always gave this verse in his teaching and prayers.  Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

God answers us in ways that astounds us. Pray it and you will see it happen to you.

Romans 5:8-10 NKJV 8 But demonstrates His own love toward us, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

1 John 4:9-10 NKJV 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love,  not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Prayer is much like marriage or that of study in a school for education. Unless you apply your whole heart and mind to it, then you will find it only a work or drudgery. And if we only study or pray about the things we like, we might miss the greater picture, that of how God is wanting that communion to reach our own thoughts, touch our emotion, initiate that intimate sharing of fellowship where His joy is marked in you, His smile spreads from His face to yours and communication has begun where nothing else matters. From the verses above we can see God’s heart on the matter of communication! Walking or that fellowship with God is active, not laying down but aware and awake to God!

We are to live in purpose and respond to any anxiety or worry with joy of the Lord and prayer. Philippians 4:4-7 NKJV “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men, “The Lord is at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Our conversations should be permeated with and in Christ Jesus.

We should allow the Lord to show us that which needs His purpose to prevail in our lives. Understand that to pray is equal to finding the peace of God.

In coming to His plan: His conduct and actions show clearly that we are to be one heart with Him. We allow time available to Him so that we hear clearly and know truthfully that which we must know whether pertaining to work, to the body of believers or for our own family.

All is important to God for He desires us to know the mind and the disposition of Christ Jesus…3 John 3 I have not greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 3 John 2 says: Beloved I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Joy should be seen in us when prayer is asked for. Joy should be effervescence, that enthusiasm to resound in God in prayer. We are to be the sound, that is hygienic…by taking of the word of God daily in and praying to prosper in sound faith. Balance is required in our bodies, in our lives and within the body of Christ.

The Privilege of Prayer is a balance within the Holy Spirit who will light those areas needing help as to spiritual, physical ( that regarding your health), to your emotions ( like not wearing them on your sleeve), financially ( where our tithes benefit the body of believers for God’s purpose in them and through them) and socially.

Prayer is that rest in the Lord. And those motivated by the spirit man rest in that truth. Their faith is in God by the shed blood of His Son Jesus so that they would walk in truth and give other’s the God kind of love always! Prayer is an adventure. It has no limits, for in God we explore the depths of His love!

Romans 8:37-39 NKJV 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are more victorious not by our own ability but because it is God Who loved us!

Jesus is the great Intercessor who still prays or intercedes for us. He is our intercessor in heaven ( Hebrews 7:25) and the Spirit is our intercessor on earth within our own hearts.

Proverbs 15:11 Hell and Destruction are before the LORD; so how much more the hearts of the sons of men.

If Hell and Destruction is seen, it is horror that appears, and God certainly sees them and that which man hides in his own heart is very similar to that indeed.

Jeremiah 17:10 “I the LORD search the heart, I test the mind, and even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”

Our hearts are deceitful, that is why we must fill it with God’s word. To speak God’s words over our silly thoughts which might mean destruction. God’s word reveals where there is darkness in our thinking or in our opinions. We must have balance for within this we walk by faith, have joy in our hearts, and bring encouragement and much love to others!

The privilege of prayer is knowing Him. It is knowing the rhythm of His heart beat. Lord search me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23-24) You and I should delight the Lord. We should be willing to prioritize when the Holy Spirit speaks to prioritize some things and make room for prayer, to following the Lord's heart. As we begin operating in that faith mode we see the unseen. We exercise our inheritance on earth as it is in heaven. As we do, faith let us see the unseen, the greatness of the "little things": as mass destruction in the jawbone of an ass in Judges 15: 15-16. Then Sampson  said, "With this jawbone of a donkey, heaps upon hears, with the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men"; a small child's lunch feeding 5, 000 men seen in John 6:5-14; or a coming king in the ruddy-face of a young teenager who shepherds sheep found in 1 Samuel 16!

Elijah prayed and the servant saw in 1 Kings 18:41-46. And he saw the cloud the size of a man’s hand………….but Elijah remembered the sound……….it was a gully washer coming, it was going to be the rainstorm of rainstorms to end drought and to fill rivers to overflowing capacity. The promises of God come in concentrated form and one little word from God will set you free, and will destroy that ugly thing out of your life forever. Pray, believe and receive the paramount victories in Christ Jesus who stands with you and loose the Holy Spirit in your prayer time and see the magnitude of a great God in your midst. You will surely see the glory of the coming of the Lord. Amen and Amen.

Discipline

Was reading an article on discipline today. I had just come from hearing a recorded program on health and ways to strengthen the immune system within the body. In this recent news on body health are the ways to know what causes things like sickness or flues as fungus in the body: peanuts, corn, and wine. ( also like some vaccines)So it was worth waiting to watch to learn what steps to take when you have issues within your own body, what not to eat or drink and how to pray about it! Discipline is so needed in regard to just living life on this earth! And today, you can be bombarded with many fast foods commercials, as well as those fast cars or durable trucks and fast methods to acquiring drugs from your pharmacy (delivered to your door),  but rarely does one hear how they should be disciplined to know what God speaks about it all!

While viewing one such recorded program early this morning, I remembered this one player who was so sought out in that field of basketball. This goes back to the twentieth century and the 1980's! To play in the national basketball one had to be suited for producing wins no doubt. But this young man, even though selected as the 12th pick as "the hopeful" to make a real difference for the team to the Washington Bullets, yet he proved no help to them. This young man was predicted to go all the way for the team but in truth his life was undisciplined. He was noted for having no discipline when he ate anything he wanted nor what he ate nor  gave any thought to exercise. Of all that could be noted of this player who many were expecting great wins with, showed up revealing at that time he had eaten his way out of the NBA. Overweight at his rookie training camp, he earned some undesirable nicknames.

It is the Apostle Paul who told young Pastor Timothy, (1 Timothy 4:7-8)"But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come."

Now, exercise is important for producing good benefits in condition of the heart and to strengthen one’s core to keep up with work in the workplace, home details as to cleaning and to food preparation, plus that which would also all children's activities, and to life in general. One must make it a rule to keep active and on the alert for that which is good  for the right kinds of food with actual life in it and not some dead food that is considered junk and only destroys one’s health. Another obvious thing I have learned is that many of the elderly have to learn how to get up should they should fall whether indoors or outdoors.  And yes, there are many written articles, talk shows, medical health benefits to show the elderly how to get up from that fallen position, but you also need to know which would benefit you in the long run.One such thing is like glutathione for your cells ( you know for energy).

A good way to find the way to good health, and those benefits is found in that discipline to be immersed in the word of God! It is God’s word that is the foundation of our lives. In the Scriptures, God reveals Himself and His will for us. If we want to know and enjoy God, the place to begin is God’s word.

Apart from the Bible, we cannot know what God is like. He is our Father, has love for us and really wants to give us His wisdom for this life. For you and I, we can  see some aspects of God in nature and the creation, but we would never look at an oak tree or a butterfly and know that God is holy, sovereign or loving. We could never know what Jesus did to redeem us by hiking through the Grand Canyon.  Not that I would consider hiking Grand Canyon, but for us, we have been on some pathways here in the area we reside. And although not as rocky nor as mountainous, still one must be capable to stay on the pathway and jump out of the way of that fast moving golf cart headed to the golf course. Knowing Jesus is knowing Him  Who is well disciplined. He obeyed the Father all the way to the Cross at Calvary. So too, Health is important to us if we desire to live long lives, for we must know the difference from what is franken-food to our body and what is actually good to our body to thrive and live long on the earth.

Yes, we must be awakened to truth, and that is in God who never changes. His spiritual truth remains the same: yesterday, today and forever in Christ Jesus!

Here’s what Scripture says about itself:  "Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts." - Jeremiah 15:16. To eat God's words means we take them in, hear them consistently by either reading them or hearing them and speaking them out after that hearing them. And when we do this, they become a joy and delight to our hearts. So we should be the delighted. We should have a joy in our hearts understanding His words guard us in our thinking. In that shaping our thinking to match His, we should consider Psalm 1.

In that Psalm, there are two forces that will shape our thinking: either the world or God’s word: Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2) For you and I, we can either follow the counsel of the world or the counsel of the Word. Psalm 1 tells us that we should make God’s word our delight and meditate on it consistently – day and night.

That word  "blessed" in verse 1 is happy and expresses itself in the sense of joy and satisfaction in one's state or circumstances. And it is often the result of blessing that comes from a trust in the LORD when obedience is found.

1 John 5:3 For this is love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

Was thinking of Jesus speaking to the religious: "you are like your father the devil." What He actually said was this: John 8:42-44 "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but he sent Me. 43 "Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

It is never the ethnic nor family pedigree that makes one acceptable to God but honoring God by believing in and loving Jesus Christ. Some people are just out for that "fifteen minutes of fame" not looking for the long haul of life. And one certainly does not gain long life unless he is in Christ Jesus.

When it comes to spiritual disciplines for the Christian life, the first thing we should seek to incorporate into our lives is regular meditation on Scripture. Like the food we eat for life, energy and rest, we also meditate on God’s word as to dwell on it, to roll it over in our minds in order to apply it to our lives.

It is like trying those new foods out and reverting to a bag of chips when the taste of the new and the vivid dark color of the food is all green will not satisfy the "old man" in his eating habits. And yes the flesh creature would rather watch TV than read the word of God. Flesh creature will always be that spiritual underachiever, living so far below the potential that God has placed within them. Discipline is required for just about everything that has to do with living in this world. That applies to when you go to sleep at night to when you arise at the first morning light!

Now that discipline in 1 Timothy 4 is an interesting word. In the Greek the word gymnaso appears. It means to train or to exercise naked. Or in athletic terms, as it was in Paul’s day, was to take off that shirt to work out. That was a stripping off the unnecessary to move through a routine so exercise would be a benefit to them for those Olympic games.

As being disciplined to right eating of food for the body: like not eating candy, no drinking wine with that meal, leaving off dessert and taking an extra few laps around your neighborhood will peel off some that fat on the body. So, too, you and I must do the same in the spiritual realm. We must strip away all the garments of pretense as we meet with the Lord each day in prayer, in that Bible study and in fellowship. We must come before Him with an open and honest heart, not telling God what we think, an opinion but truly sharing our hearts, those hurts, fears and tears but truly sharing every problem we might hold in our heart.

Disciplined today might not bring you that NBA contract to your life, but stripped to being a truly productive living being will always include that encouraging and enriching workout with God the Lord, so that we need not try to be someone we are not! To be the real in God, it must be about the truth of  God Who will take us  from where we are and bring us to a place of strength, peace and power as we come to Him day after day for nourishment that is of benefit and life to us. We will come to satisfaction in Him when we continually humble ourselves to the speaking that we require some help with what goes into our mouths for our God is faithful and He will be there to help!

It is He, Who makes us spiritually strong when and if we are the willing to be faithful to hard work of saying no to the flesh and yes to the spirit man. It is saying no to wrong types of food and saying no to the wrong types of things our eyes focus on that brings the wrong thing into our lives. We are to say yes to the spirit of doing right things that are the necessary as in spending quality time with Him who planned for us, purposed to set us apart and to develop a deep and genuine walk with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Yeah, it is not the NBA, but He is all I need to accomplish life on earth. He is Greater, Majesty on High....the Great I AM! He is all that I (or you) need in that love of His, a grace with much mercy and peace. It is all about living for Him, and living in such a way others will notice. And if they know not my name, they will know His because that is how we live for Him, to make Him known, that in Him we live,  move,  and have our being in Him. It is all the right moves and actions from the Father of whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Light be in my life (your life) concerning diet, that new way of eating, that new routine for exercise and that all important time with Him the Lord of glory. Thank you Lord for the light that reveals those dark things that must be stripped away to run the race YOU have set before us. Today WE run in His name and to His glory, we are thoroughly determined to be set in being disciplined. Yes, Amen to discipline!
