Choosing Humility Will Produce Astonishment in Others

Humility was expressed in Jesus : Matthew 13:54-58… NKJV 54 & when He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished & said, "Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? 55 Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary? & His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? 56 & His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?" 57 So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country & in his own house." 58 Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

As unbelief, not trusting in God causes us to not hear. Harboring anger, resentment, jealousy and un-forgiveness causes the fruit to develop deafness or the hardness of our hearts. A spirit of deafness, an insensitivity,  is one of hardness and refuses to comply to the Word of God. (from Preparing to Hear)

**The people of his hometown knew him so well, being puzzled by His wisdom and His works done in God……they were going to hold Him in their own eyes as they knew Him, the carpenter’s son and in….that they rather cling to ignorance. The people in which He knew as neighbors, had no real need for healing or anything else.  They did not recognize Who He was & they held NO VALUE FOR HIM!

·         In His wisdom: Jesus spoke in Matthew 7:24-29….24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, & does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 & the rain descended, the floods came, & the winds blew & beat on that house; & it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 Now everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, & does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 & the rain descended, the floods came, & the winds blew & beat on that house; & it fell. & great was its fall." 28 & so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, & not as the scribes.  NKJV  the scribes were echoing what they had heard …possibly boring and without power, but Jesus spoke with intensity, passion and power. He had authority in the situation

·         Christ’s works (3913) John 10:25-30…… 25 Jesus answered them, "I told you, & you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name, they bear witness of Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, & I know them, & they follow Me. 28 & I give them eternal life, & they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; & no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. 30 I & My Father are one." NKJV

Bearing witness of Me..Jesus was bearing a good report of the Father God…..

Jesus held not as an echo but a TRUE VOICE!

James 3:9-18 Amplified Bible…………….9 With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse men who were made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not to be so. 11 Does a fountain send forth [simultaneously] from the same opening fresh water and bitter?

12 Can a fig tree, my brethren bear olives or a grapevine figs? Neither can a salt spring furnish fresh water. 13 Who is there among you who is wise & intelligent? Then let him by his noble living show forth his [good] works with the [un-obstrusive] humility [which is the proper attribute] of true wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry) selfish ambition in your hearts, do not pride yourselves on it & thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth.

A person with the heart intent of envy, rivalry, that selfishness will be found in pride with lies. Everything he touches will be the “FALSE”, THE PHONEY, THE FAKE... WILL NOT BE REAL.

15 This [superficial] wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual (animal, even devilish (demonical). 16 For wherever there is jealousy (envy) & contention (rivalry & selfish ambition) there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) & all sorts of evil and vile practices. 17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled) then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion & good fruits: it is wholehearted & straightforward, impartial & unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering & insincerity).  It is God’s Word that propels us into TRUTH…..

18 And the harvest of righteousness (of conformity to God’s will in thought and deed) is [the fruit of the seed] sown in peace by those who work for and make peace [in themselves and in others, that peace which means concord, agreement and harmony between individuals with un-disturbedness in a peaceful mind free from fears and agitating passions & moral conflicts.

C - 1: εἰρηνικός  James 3:17..is peace…without this peace….of God you will have no wisdom of
God.

When Jesus prayed, and met with people, lives were changing. In Jesus’ time and as in today’s culture, the world sees the “wise man” as one who will live for the moment, always living by sight, and is devoted to self.   For Jesus, His own neighbors rejected Him. They saw interruption in their lifestyle, in their own thinking, but chose to carry on in their unbelief. The Sadducees’ did as did the Pharisees! Ego will kill you! Some people just want to be right all the time. But we cannot be that way ….we must have God guiding us with His eye. Certainly those who were astonished also became those who were ready to kill Him. They wanted Jesus gone however they had to do it. But truth ruled Jesus’ life. The truth of God carried Him to the Cross and then to the right hand of God in Heaven.

In closing: His prayer time brought power, looked like grace, and caused reactions. In His teaching  the EXTREME was heard, His prayer was for ADVANCEMENT OF THE KINGDOM!

Jesus’ Prayer: John 17:3….(3)& this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, & Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Advancement of the kingdom.

John 17:6  .(6) "I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.

John 17:11…(11) Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, & I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.

John 17:26 ...(26) And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."  NKJV

THE IMPORTANCE in this prayer was that   Jesus spoke what He spent His ministry revealing to us about God His Father. It is in this, that He keeps us through His name, both by our trusting in what it means & by the evidence revealed by living this life in obedience!  This obedience to fellowship, communion, God’s Word in teaching & prayer gives us VOICE!

In John 17 & verses 6 & 26….the Greek word for Name is onoma. When Jesus spoke this: He was speaking God’s  authority, His character, His  very majesty, & the power of His excellence which belongs to God HIMSELF. Jesus was expanding & advancing God’s name on the earth & in the earth.

When we can see with our eyes & understand in our hearts that being united with the Father presents to us the opportunity to participate with the Son as the Son did with the Father, how much more should we expect to see the astonishment in the faces of those God is touching by His presence in us? Before we go to participate out there, we should have the intimate time to know our Father’s heart.

Father, like Jesus spoke in John 17, I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Jesus through this word given. That they all may be one as You, Father are in Jesus & in me, that the world may believe You sent Jesus. The glory which You gave Jesus I have given  them, that they may be one just as We are one.(John 17:20-23)   Father, thank you for bringing health & healing revealed in Your peace & truth. Captives have been set free to pray.  Thank You for salvation!  For all Your goodness & prosperity You provide, may it be to YOU God a name of joy, praise & an honor before all nations of the earth who hear all the good that You do to them. May they fear & tremble before You in humility knowing that hypocrisy is far & away from You. May we be that voice to carry Your glory forward.

For those who abide in You will have the voice of joy, & the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom & the voice of the Bride, the voice of those who will say:"Praise the LORD of hosts, For the LORD is good, For His mercy endures forever"- Oh holy Father, at this juncture of choosing to pray, may we be truly be those who will not find excuse to put off prayer. For those who EMBRACE  the relationship with YOU will know THE VOICE of truth. They will walk TOWARD HOLINESS finding power in prayer! Oh it is in Jesus’ Name we prayer……………… Amen.

OVERFLOW

What are we overflowing in? Are we giving comfort and cheer to others or are we giving grief, distress and torment? When in need for something important to us and family, is it for life or death? Certainly in this day and time we hear of paper mills shutting down right before the holidays and another how many out of jobs?
But if we actually live in God and His Word, what should rule us, rule our hearts? Is the plight (that struggle or difficulty) ruling and making all the decisions for us or are we allowing God to move on our behalf?
Most people today will not enter a church for prayer. And many do not know how to speak to God. Our life should be that which demonstrates His power flowing through us and not only for us and to us, but to others as well.
In today's reality the truth is that the Bartender down the road is the "pastor" or "clergyman" where people go to speak about their "problems". They add a drink or two to their courage and start speaking. Letting it give power to their "letdown's" and failures and it reveals by their speaking where they are going in their thought life. Their life speaks "failure". But that is not what God intended for those who love Him and know Him!

Luke 6:43-45
43 "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.
NIV

Luke 6:43-45
For there is no good (healthy) tree that bears decayed (worthless, stale) fruit, nor on the other hand does a decayed  (worthless, sickly) tree bear good fruit. 44 For each tree is known and identified by its own fruit; for figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor is a cluster of grapes picked from a bramblebush. 45  The upright (honorable, intrinsically good ) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright (honorable, intrinsically good), and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks. Amplified Bible

In reading this scripture we think and compare what Jesus speaks of the tree and bushes........those which produce nothing but thistles and thorns and those which produce fruit that is good.
He goes to say that "out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his (your mouth and my mouth) speaks.

OVERFLOW
What ever we hold in that storage place in our hearts will overflow into either the worthless, stale or that which is honorable, intrinsically good. He speaks of two men: the upright man and the evil man. In our day to day activities I wonder which are we: man who shines in goodness and being honorable or which brings dark clouds of doom and destruction?

Was thinking of that spoken on a news report of those closing down an Interstate somewhere in the Midwest.......and wondering how many men, women or even children could not get to a hospital on that Interstate on that specific day who were needing emergency care at a hospital those hours that main roadway was closed? Is there not a better way to address desiring 15 dollars per hour for your job pay? Is there not a way to gain attention on a matter without maybe killing people who might need emergency medical care and not get it, because why?

Out of the overflow of our hearts, our mouths shall speak. Yes, people need money to live........to pay bills, pay for childcare and buy that car for maybe carpooling back and forth to work. And surely people need insurance. But I remember when I desired a raise in pay, I took it to the supervisor and especially during the time of my yearly work performance REVIEW time. I surely know people who are not getting their worth in the work they provide, and I do see them trying to get another needed education class or two in, and even see them gaining some more time in training time on computers. Whatever the task, the thing desired it begins with us and where our heart resides. For wherever our heart is, there we reside.

People can have what they say or speak. What they believe right now, is what they have either stored from God's Word or that of the world. If the parents and grandparents lived in lack and spoke lack in their lives, then the children and grandchildren will probably have lack as well. We cannot compare ourselves to others in what they have or do not have. We each have the choice to go to school and learn, and each of us has the choice to work.

In our community, we pray for people to have jobs that pay well. We pray for the children to have both mother and father and have time together to know each other and thrive well in peace and comfort in knowing Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
In our meeting time together around God and His Word as believer's, we pray for people to be touched by God and for their lives to be changed in such a way that others will know God has come to them for the miraculous. We have prayed for safety in our region from any who would be labeled  the "terrorist" to really come to know Jesus the Savior and the Redeemer.

Proverbs 15:4
A gentle tongue [with  its healing power]
is a tree of life, but willful contrariness in
it breaks down the spirit. Amplified Bible

Having that gentle, healing tongue has the power to comfort others. It is having peace in our tongues that will convince others of the good when we speak that way. That healing tongue is a tree of life .....and lives in peace. In thinking on this day, I am brought back to that contrary wind. Have you ever seen a contrary wind? You know the one of which I speak, especially if you live in what is a gorge area along a great river.  It blows non-stop at the same speed for hours, and breaks off limbs and sometimes big branches, if speed of wind is high and sustained long enough. That contrariness is destructive as demonstrated by the wind we cannot see, but the effect on that tree is noticeable to the eye.
Any who speak as of those hard words may not break the bone, but they surely break the heart (the spirit man). Nothing good comes from parading harm, but only brings more harm. Even if it is for the right thing in the wrong form will bring only more of the same.

There is either bad news or God's news. The place we choose is where we dwell and what we believe is delivered to us everyday. If I abide in thinking on sickness and ill health all my days, then I am enforcing that thing myself. I am expecting ill health. But if I speak to the bones and joints of body and I call them in health in Jesus' name,  I am making a demand on my own bones and joints to to live healthy and not respond to any disease. I speak that the "Spirit life of 1 Peter 2:24 permeates every bone and joint of my body with life and health that is like God's! I demand that every internal organ perform a perfect work, for I am the temple of the Holy Ghost; therefore I reside in the Word of God that I am healed and made whole. (Proverbs 12:18)
If I should reside where people profane another people, calling them evil names and abiding on that day and night, then that is what I enforce into my life and being.

God is greater than and above all that could possibly be happening on this earth, in this country and within the county and community of which I live. I am declaring God's Word that will not return to Him void, but will accomplish to where it is sent. I give voice. And He creates the fruit of our lips. I am confessing God's Word and in that I am having fellowship with him. I make the practice of eating right, and doing what my body needs and I also look at God and His medicine on a regular basis as well. I look into the perfect law of liberty. And in it I have life and health to all my flesh.

Proverbs 3:7-8
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and depart from evil.
8 It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.
NKJV

In receiving Jesus, we are kings and priests. We have the heritage of ruling and reigning. But it is in peace and not taking over I-? on stopping traffic ..........for any given time. But by the Spirit of God we take our place in speaking God's word and by praying (and confessing) that the decree shall be established to me (and to you) and that light shall shine on our ways. Job 22:28
In the Amplified Bible it states this: Revelation 1:5-6 And from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the Firstborn of the dead [first to be brought back to life] and the Prince (Ruler) of the kings of the earth. To Him Who ever loves us and has once [for all] loosed and freed us from  our sins by His own blood. [Psalm 89:27] 6 And formed us into a kingdom ( a royal race), priests to His God and Father---to Him be the glory and the power and the majesty and the dominion throughout the ages and forever and ever. Amen. (so be it).
Allowing God to have His way is speaking His Word over our finances, and our health and our family.

In closing:
Jesus told us in Mark 11:23-24 that whatever "mountain" may be in the way, causing a problem, that we can speak to it. Verse 23..."Be lifted up and thrown into the sea "...........and when we believe ,no doubting, at all in our hearts but believe that what we have said takes place,  will be done for us. Verse 24 states that .....whatever we ask for prayer and believing (trusting and being confident) that which we have asked is granted to us, we will get it!

If that mountain is finances, then today know that what Jesus spoke about affects the natural world. The world in which you and I live. If you need a great increase in finances, I will agree with you right here and now. "God has given us His Word so that we can govern as kings and priests. We pray and agree as it mentions in Matthew 18:19....."that if two of us agree and we do right here, touching on this matter of greater increase in finances, ( we harmonize, make a symphony together) we ask today, we believe it to come to pass and be done for my sister or brother today in Jesus' name. May they have the righteous desire for that which takes care of their families needs and keeps the home filled with good, laughter and good health that comes from God alone.
No longer is it the carnal mind operating here, but we today hold those thoughts and (feelings and purposes) of Christ, the Messiah. Today we speak and believe and yes, practice that which we have spoken, and in living in that God kind of peace, we come to the place of being untroubled, not flustered or bothered. We hold together on this truth and that we will see God come through on our finances in Jesus' name. Amen.

Father, thank You for food, clothing and shelter. In the name of Jesus, we desire not to be the anxious and worried. No we desire not to be anxious about life, or body for we know our life is greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent than clothing.]
I pray today for any who reads this and needs a raise in finances to further care for their wives or husbands, their children, their children's advancing in school or even their own and its priorities and in their healthcare, that their eyes would be open to see that which is available to them right now. I know from my time in the workplace, that You provided other means of finances as to a retirement account being established for me by the place I worked. Father, I pray today for finances to come in those forms of  consulting contracts, that raise in pay in the workplace, favor with other managers and CEO's, and those desiring a change entirely in what they do for a living. For those who need courage today, we call on Elohim, the Creator of heaven and earth Who was in the beginning. You have made us, You have crowned us with glory and honor. YOU are the God of might and strength.  Father, we want to be daily reminded that Your wisdom is from above and is willing to yield to reason; to cooperate one with the other. (James 3:17 Amp)
Those who are Your people are a blessing, especially to the those of the household of faith----those who belong to God's family, the believer's. May people see today the importance of sowing the seed of spiritual good among the people to reap that which is of material benefit.
Today we call You Jehovah-Rohi, You are our Shepherd and we shall not want for any good or beneficial thing. We bless You Jehovah-Jireh, the One Who sees our needs and is the provider for them.
Help us today and I mean everyone who reads this: may we love courageously those who are the supervisors, the managers and those even higher as the CEO's of any company. For the younger generation and this their first job, help them to be honest and diligent toward their work and asking for increase. Show us how to interact in talking about any increase we may need at this time. We desire to do this with a pure heart and a good conscience. Help us to confront that which we must confront, but not by harming another, but by being honest about the need, and to speak fearlessly the truth. We acknowledge our emotions that can be out of control right now, but we do not want to be ruled by our emotions and led by them to harm or put ourselves where destruction lays wait. We desire to make right decisions concerning how to approach 'the boss' on this matter of finances.

(for those praying today ) May what I speak and say honor You today in that place I connect with ___________________( name of boss, name of manager, name of CEO, name of supervisor, if a baby-sitter ...The Parents of child/children you watch) May they truly have hearing ears to hear me as I do this in love and peace. To God be the glory. Amen.

The Wise or the Foolish

Psalm 90:11-12..........11 Who knows the power of Your anger?
For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath.
12 So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom. NKJV

When we read through the book of Proverbs we find a lot on the differences of the wise and the foolish. An individual, either male or female will have a disposition, a marked trait that points to their upbringing in a specific area and having qualities that make them distinct from other people. We have short hair, curly hair, blonde hair or even gray hair but that does not mean who we are as a person We grow up learning a certain language, the integrity or lack of integrity, a strength or bent towards having a heritage that shows in a respect to serving God, or lack of serving God in regard to whatever nation we are born.

I may resemble my dad more than I favor my mom. I may have his hair coloring, and shape of his face but my nose resembles my mom's nose. I may tell the stories my dad would tell when I was a child. I may favor him in many ways, but in truth, I am to look for truth, and it is seeking God's wisdom for my life.

We are either known by a reputation that proceeds us, what comes out of our mouths, and either we are at peace where we are positioned in life or outwardly always striving with others. Yes, we are known by our character.
Whatever that personality is and how one reacts to that around them, will certainly tell others a lot about them. If all hell is breaking loose, do we remain at peace in God or do we yell and throw things?
Is what comes out of our mouth glorifying God or ourself? Is what I say encouraging to others and their lives?
In my estimation, I believe the greatest gift besides our salvation in Jesus Christ is to have a heart of wisdom. We can turn on the evening news and find a lot of chaos, and we find those choosing to have it their way and kill others. We find others choosing to quarrel about something rather than sitting down and talking about the situation.
Proverbs 15:5 tells us that a fool despises his father's instruction, but he who that is yielding to correction is prudent.

My question is: are we foolish or are we wise?
Foolish: from the Greek word "Moros", which one who is stupid or dull.

Proverbs 12:15.....15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise. NKJV

The scripture states that one who walks as a fool is doing what feels right in his own eyes. But to be wise according to this verse means that one is to heed counsel of the wise. God's word is filled with counsel to lead us into peace and a smooth pathway.
Psalm 27:11-12........11 Teach me your way, O LORD;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
breathing out violence. NIV

If I follow after the wisdom of God, I stay on a straight path. When I heed His correction and teaching I stay in a safe place that guards me by His Word.

James 3:17-18....17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. NKJV
Always asking God for “the wisdom that comes from heaven [ which ] is first of all pure, peaceable (peace-loving), considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere”

According to this scripture verse, God's wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy AND GOOD FRUIT!
Do our lives mirror this scripture?
Do we have the fruit that looks like a peacemaker, a wise man or woman who holds back our feelings? Or are we the hypocrite.............oh my!

Matthew 5:14-16………..14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. NKJV

Jesus said that we are to BE A “light of the world”. Are men seeing our light shine for Jesus or ourselves……?
John 8:12…………….12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." NKJV

Jesus is the source of our “light”.
So is my “light” shining, flickering or just burned out?
Have we lost our purpose? Is life’s storm blowing like a “NOR' EASTER” against our “light”?
Have we neglected to keep that light shining for all to see?

If it is like a Nor'easter blowing against our light, we know that these specific storms can occur the year around, but are stronger and more intense in the months of September through April.

Problems can come and go in our lives. But trouble should never overtake us for we are to be overcomers according to the word of God.   1 John 4:4-6.................4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
NIV

What are some ways that God’s light shines through our lives?
2 Corinthians 4:1-6 ……………4:1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake. 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. NKJV

His light is to shine in our hearts for it is God who commanded for light to shine out of darkness. When we renounce the shame, the dishonor, and receive His mercy, when we choose to walk in His ways that are right and are upright in the eyes of God, our hearts are no longer veiled. We see clearly to walk in His light and learn the knowledge of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

If we can look into the face of our children, and learn their ways and know their good and bad traits………..surely we can know and recognize a good God. Surely if our focus will turn towards YOU our Father and read YOUR word and apply it to our lives, we can inhale YOUR presence and see YOUR wisdom in our daily decision making. For everything we do, in line with God's Word will show the world we are different. We will stand and pray for others when all hell is breaking loose.
We will not flaunt ourselves before the world, but raise the Word of God and expect to see His faithfulness in our lives and those we love and pray for each day.

Proverbs 4:7-9................7 Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom.
Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
8 Esteem her, and she will exalt you;
embrace her, and she will honor you.
9 She will set a garland of grace on your head
and present you with a crown of splendor." NIV

No, we do not have to flaunt ourselves but it is God who will exalt us when we highly esteem His wisdom. Though it cost all we have, when we esteem and delight in wisdom, to embrace it and not let go, then we will see ourselves come to a place of honor as she sets a garland of grace on our heads and present us with a crown splendor.  We become the one whom the Lord delights in and the one whom the Lord brings honor to in His love and mercy for us. We are then, no longer the forsaken and the the one of reproach.

Proverbs 29:11...... A fool vents all his feelings, but a wise man holds them back. NKJV

When we refuse to believe that we are always right in our own eyes, but seek the counsel of God’s word we find more peace and wisdom. When we are willing to receive instruction then we become those who will hear, and not react but give time for God to speak and our prayers to work when we pursue the justice of God for any situation. When we choose to not strive with others, we become the peacemaker.

Father, today we have the choice of being a fool or the wise. I pray in Jesus' name, that we be those who will be the wise for we understand that any fool can start a quarrel. (Prov. 20:3) May Your Light shine in and through us this day and everyday. We renounce the shame and receive Your mercy. Today I pray that all would choose to walk in ways that are right and upright in YOUR eyes O'God. May we expect to see YOUR faithfulness in our lives and in those we pray for today and every day.Your Word God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.(Psalm 119:105)  I thank YOU today for godly Christian counselors, godly parents, godly pastors, wise friends and fellow believers that YOU our Father have placed around us when we see the necessity to make some major decisions for our lives. May our walk in YOUR wisdom be to YOUR honor and glory. May we always heed Your counsel and shun the advice of the world. Let our light so shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify You our Father in heaven. Amen.
