An OMG Moment

I know those acronyms have to be used at times, but in doing it throughout the day, are we shorting ourselves with actual contact with another. If we use it while texting, then Facebook, are we using in conversations with others as well?

Was thinking on this the last few days. Energy seemed to exit my body and I taking my right and reinforcing my words of strength from God's Word like strength in Psalm 27.

Psalm  27:1-3
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war should rise against me,
In this I will be confident.  NKJV

God has given me things to do and it requires lots of strength. He has things for you to do and it requires hearing Him and having strength to do it!

Numbers 24:8-9
8 "God brought them out of Egypt;
they have the strength of a wild ox.
They devour hostile nations
and break their bones in pieces;
with their arrows they pierce them.
9 Like a lion they crouch and lie down,
like a lioness--who dares to rouse them? NIV

Delivered out of Egypt, we too were delivered .......and the Savior is Jesus. The above mentions they came out with the strength of a wild ox.
Brought out to live in God and be free from slavery.

THE WORD OF GOD

The Word of God is God’s witness to the believer (1 John 5:11-13). The Greek text includes the article with the word “life.” Salvation in Christ is not just the gift of life, but of “the life,” the one which comes only through faith in God’s unique Son Declaring Him in Scripture is one who believes in Christ’s as Son and Savior and work on the cross as God’s provision for his sins!

IN  Eternal life, we must read, know and speak to others:John 3:36 The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects the Son will not see life, but God’s wrath remains on him.

1 John 5:11-13 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life. I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

WE declare that Forgiveness of all sin is available in Him.

Acts 10:43 About him all the prophets testify, that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.

Colossians 2:13 And even though you were dead in your transgressions and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he nevertheless made you alive with him, having forgiven all your transgressions.

NO longer slaves we are free In HIM......and that is Freedom from condemnation.

John 5:24 “I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

AND TO BE JUSTIFIED......THAT Justification (declared righteous by God) LOOKS AND SOUNDS LIKE: Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with GOD THROUGH our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Romans 4:1-6 What then shall we say that Abraham, our ancestor according to the flesh, has discovered regarding this matter? 2 For if Abraham was declared righteous by the works of the law, he has something to boast about—but not before God. 3 For what does the scripture say? “ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his pay is not credited due to grace but due to obligation. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness. 6 So even David himself speaks regarding the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

Romans 4:25 He was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification.

It is by grace that we are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God and it is not from works, so that no can boast. We have become His children.

John 1:12 But to all who have received him—those who believe in his name—he has given the right to become God’s children

Romans 8:14-17 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ)—if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.

How can anyone text God? They can't! How can they possibly e-mail Him or send an Instragram......and yet He is ever watching, and ever faithful to waiting on His children to come to Him. It is not in an OMG moment!
In Job 18:7....the verse tells us ...that the steps of his strength are shortened, and his own counsel casts him down.
If I flag communication as bad and deem it necessary to write acronyms, could I be hurting myself? We must speak with our own words that which God has given us to speak. We are to sound much like Jesus.........I and My Father are one!
The Message Bible speaks this of Job 18 ..."Here's the rule: The light of the wicked is put out. Their flame dies down and is extinguished. Their house goes dark------every lamp in the palce goes out. Their strong strides weaken, falter, they stumble into their own traps. They get all tangled up in their own red tape, Their feet are grabbed and caught, their necks in a noose. They trip on ropes they've hidden, and fall into pits they've dug themselves.

Yeah that OMG Moment might just plummet one into total darkness for ever. What we say with our mouths we can surely have.
Maybe I should have titled this: "What you SAY is WHAT you Get"!

In This I will Be Confident

Psalm  27:1-3.........The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war should rise against me,
In this I will be confident.    NKJV

In salvation, we have moved from the desolate to the blessed. We become those who come to the good in the Lord. We come to a place of blessings that God planned for His family. In this Psalm and Psalm 91, we see the particular safety, a great protection, when we abide in the Lord. When we abide in His word it will deliver.
From the above scripture passage, it says, "in this I will be confident", confident in what? He is confident because he has known the light and salvation. He leads us out of trouble, out of that which brings chaos. So there should be "no fear". The Lord becomes our strength, when we abide in those scriptures that lead us to strength.

Like in Psalm 119:28.....My soul melts from heaviness; strengthen me according to YOUR word.

This strength is for the our soul..........our mind, our will and emotions. It is about the "breathing part" of me. That which is born as a person. And that heaviness of soul......is.....the closed off heart.......that which is inward.......and concerned for what is interrupting our life. But God delights to clothe us in a garment of praise for that heaviness of soul. He wants to bring us out of that secrets of heaviness we hold for ourselves and wants us to express the joy of heart .........gladness to being alive......and.....not governed by the five senses.
Five Senses: are feel, what I can touch, what I see with my eye, taste in my mouth, sound, and smell.
These make for bad "masters" for us to be ruled by, ever!
Have you ever made a decision on the "spur" of the moment? Did you afterward feel like your body was an earthquake all by itself? Not a good place to be! Basing any decisions on our senses is folly, indeed! Without that true knowledge, we fall as a victim to those five senses. Making any decision on that fear factor, we move to a place of confusion. Father God is to be our light with His knowledge leading us by His wisdom, but do we choose to blanket ourselves in that confusion where a "terror" grips our souls? When we will not rely on God's word, we become "the driver" of any situation. When we shift the gears to go forward, we are acting on fear based emotions that have taken the command and lead. This place is called "FALSE" EVIDENCE AVENUE!   Our trust is to be in God. We are to have knowledge of the Holy One.
When we seek that gladness, and put on praise......we can see differently. We can actually see with new eyes, that life includes God. Not reflecting on how bad the economy, or what the government leaders are speaking!  Some lead by what was done yesterday or last year. We are to turn from wrong sources for our answers and success. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but He has given power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)  Staying in God and His knowledge, teaches us His wisdom and will keep us out of the "fear factor" camp! It is imperative to have light of God's truth shining in on the "thing" or the "man" who has set out to harm us! We certainly saw this in the 2007-2008 Global Crisis when so many lost in the stock exchange fiasco and many lost because they believed the bankers who wanted to lend money on homes that people could not afford. I remember seeing a documentary not soon after all that about Las Vegas and all the brand new homes that stood empty. There was no one living there because all those who had bought could not afford that "new home".

I do not want to be that driver, who will forcefully drive further into darkness and confusion to make a decision. We can be confident that God will preserve you and me and deliver us from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things.
When the enemy appears, we can have courage in our hearts to defeat him with light and truth that is found in God and in Him alone!

Psalm 46:1...God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Well, trouble comes to hassle you, It comes bringing inconvenience, much worry and concern. Yes, trouble is  ANXIETY! In it, one finds if their trust is in God, or in themselves. When trouble comes to trouble us, then we have the "force " of praise to fight against that which would want to dominate our thought life!

Isaiah 40:31...But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. NKJV

But they who will look to the LORD, look upon HIM, shall renew their strength.  This strength is "koach" meaning of firm, with vigor......a force.....that will produce fruit.......a substance. even wealth.
Like eagles, those who look upon the LORD move to another vantage point in looking. They gain their strength by looking into that perfect law of liberty. Keeping our focus on God the Lord, brings a substance........something tangible. We experience that "good" that adds and multiplies us and does not take away from us.
People with strength of the Lord will be noticed by others. When adversity strikes, those people will lead others out of the "problem". That walking is not only a leading others out, but it is a "marching"......a confident trust in the Lord. They can say with confidence, "This is mine, the Lord has given it to me..........and no devil can take it from me.".........type of attitude! This person is one who will be running to the "situation" and taking care of it with the wisdom of God and not running from it. They have kept their eyes on Him and not on things, people, or the world. They keep their focus always!

Psalm 27:1........the Lord is the strength of my life.....of whom shall I be afraid?
I have run to the "Rock" of my salvation.

Isaiah 26:4............4 Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.
NIV

Psalm 27:2..............2 When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war should rise against me

The wicked, the mischief maker, the person who sows discord, those wicked that try to devour the righteous, those who are out for financial gain by speaking lies, those enemies and foes stumble and fall. Though an army encamps against you, the heart shall not fear and even  in war.......but the LORD IS OUR CONFIDENCE!
We are the confident that the Lord will direct us through and lead us on to victory.

.....though war should rise against me...........IN THIS I WILL BE CONFIDENT!

Father, in Jesus' name we pray today for this confidence......that strength, which is of vigor, it is substantial and it is wealth to us.
May we stand today in readiness to receive Your word of truth, that Light and Salvation to us. I pray that each who read this will seek You daily, seeking that strength that brings us to another vantage point. That in worship, that praise of our lips brings us to a joy of heart. I pray that we would be those who would not want to remain in that "secretness" of our own wishes and closing ourselves off to do our own thing, but seek to be part of the secret place in You from Psalm 91:1-2. Dwelling in that secret place with YOU........abiding in Your Word and plan...........and by making YOU the Most High our dwelling, no harm will befall us. No kind of disaster will come near our homes. Lord thank YOU for commanding Your angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways, and that You rescue us. (verse 14) Thank You that YOU protect us, because we acknowledge Your name. And that when we do call on YOU, YOU will answer. We believe to be those who have a long satisfied life. Be glorified and magnified for YOU are good to us Lord. You are our Light and our Salvation. Amen and Amen!

"Dad, You came for Me"

When tragedy strikes, who do we call on? When the bad report comes, who do we run to for answers? Are we listening to the world's report or the Lord's report?
In recent weeks, I have had this extreme fatigue in my body. My husband and I have started reading the Bible more and I have added more healing scriptures to my list plus have some CD's going all the time. I had asked for prayer from a few people. It was one day I was fine and the next I could not get out of bed. One report was low blood sugar and then after a few more weeks, no, it was an electrolyte imbalance. But one thing was certain, we were going to the God who is more than enough! Who do you then turn to for the answers and life? In my life in the recent weeks, I have seen hope as a very expressive emotion. I have seen it in a demonstrative type of speaking by faith with a whole heart leaning on the Lord. This hope will reach further and go higher in trusting the Lord.

Isaiah 41:10...........10 Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'   NKJV

Deuteronomy 31:6........6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."  NKJV

The one we spend the most time with will be the one we want to turn to in time of trouble! So what does our life look today? Are we holding onto hope that God will intervene? Are our beliefs based on and held in the solid foundation of the One God sent into this world? For our true bread was sent from heaven to eat. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. (John 6:33)

I desire to share this with others as it was an article written long ago in a Christian magazine. It was of a report written about the horror of earthquake and of the "anchor of hope" that we are known by God and that He will never fail us!

I had come across the article and had shared in a Bible study back in 2008 and again last December 2013 with those who came for the Women's Prayer Meeting. We had wanted to come together with food and fellowship and a quick word from scripture on December 6.  Some ladies came over the icy roads that night to be a part of the party time in worship to the Lord and to break bread together. The Holy Spirit had impressed upon me to share this article written years ago at this time together on December 6, 2013! One thing was certain that night, there was not a dry eye in the house!
I could not find the original copy of the article or which magazine produced it,or even the author, but its short, life giving promise of hope that God will never leave us or forsake us. God is with us!

The story began to unfold in a horrific earthquake in a third world country.

Spitak, Armenia

1988 December 07 07:41 UTC (11:41 a.m. local time)
Magnitude 6.8

Two events about 3 seconds apart. At least 25,000 people killed, 19,000 injured and 500,000 homeless in the Leninakan-Spitak-Kirovakan area of northern Armenia, USSR. More than 20 towns and 342 villages were affected and 58 of them were completely destroyed. Estimated damage was 16.2 billion dollars….
In a later written article of said earthquake…...testimonies of survival and hope flooded the world of that major event!

A reprint in a Christian Magazine some twenty years to the date……..December 2008It goes like this: Some years ago there was an earthquake in Armenia that leveled the country from one end to the other in just 4 minutes. A father who survived the quake had thought of his son who was at school. After everything had quieted down from all the seismic activity he ran as fast as he could to the school and he saw nothing but rubble.
As his heart began to sink within him, a promise burned in his memory of the days he walked his son to school and promising the boy he would always be there for him.
He started moving bricks and debris from an area where he believed his son’s class room was. People came up to rebuke him. They were telling him that there was no hope. He was even told by a police officer to stop, that he was bound to get hurt in all that rubble.

After 38 grueling hours of pulling broken furniture and bricks and with skin hanging off his bloody hands he raised a brick from this one spot and heard…..”Dad, you came—-You said you would be here for me.” His dad asked, “You could not see me, how did you know it was me?”
The young boy replied, “YOU promised me dad, that you would always be here for me!”

"YOU PROMISED THAT YOU WOULD ALWAYS BE HERE FOR ME!"
Just like this man going to rescue his son, our Father sent His Son to rescue us! God Almighty put on humanity and came to earth to give us hope in our final outcome!
Whatever the circumstance, whatever is destroyed in your life, our God is able to raise up a new life and make it better than the last thing.

HOPE : a confident expectancy
It is knowing the Faithful, the Committed, and being assured that hope resides IN OUR HEARTS, when being daily reminded that there is one with you, one who goes with you, and one who does what He says He will do.
"My hope is in You" (Psalm 39:7). The real, the genuine hope is not a wishful thinking, but a firm assurance about things that are unseen and are still in the future.

Like in the article above, the son expected the Father who spoke that he would always be there for him no matter what the circumstance.
Trouble can come in many forms, but even if surrounded by it, we look to God's faithfulness. Now is a good time to remember the year and whatever the heartache, God is still active, still the protector, still the faithful One and He is on the scene!

I was thinking of this scripture when writing this word today for you: It is found in John 6:16-21........... 16 Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, 17 got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was already dark, and Jesus had not come to them. 18 Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. 19 So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. 20 But He said to them, "It is I; do not be afraid." 21 Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going. NKJV

When the winds are blowing, and appears to be an ill wind towards us or our family, we should willingly receive Jesus into the boat and sail on to tomorrow. For when we allow Him in, the turmoil ends, the chaos is quieted, and His peace and love lead us to a future that is bright and glorious!
In closing:

Psalms 4 ……4:1……Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness!   You have relieved me in my distress;  Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
2 How long, O you sons of men,  Will you turn my glory to shame?    How long will you love worthlessness  And seek falsehood?                    Selah
3 But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly;  The LORD will hear when I call to Him.
4 Be angry, and do not sin.  Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still.                      Selah
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,  And put your trust in the LORD.
6 There are many who say,  "Who will show us any good?"  LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.  7 You have put gladness in my heart,  More than in the season that their grain and wine increased.
8 I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;  For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.    NKJV

Father, thank You for those men and women who write for these magazines and of the words of life that come together to make a truth known.......that YOU are there in the hardship. Bless those who write for those magazines that make a difference concerning Your goodness and love to us in this day and in this hour! Bless the works of their hands and make them a blessing to others.
Father, thank You for Your faithfulness to me and to my family. YOU PROMISED THAT YOU WOULD NEVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US. YOU PROMISED!
 I pray in the name of Jesus that we, men and women alike, will call on YOU our righteousness. It is You Who have been on the scene so many times when it seemed like trouble would take over, but it was YOU who held us and delivered to us YOUR glory. Our trust is in YOU and we have this anchor of hope in our hearts. In YOU we lie down in peace and sleep for YOU alone make us to dwell in safety. May we always lift our voices to the God of glory and profess YOUR goodness to us in the land of the living. Truly YOU will never leave us and never forsake us! I pray that we would recognize that YOU have extended YOUR hand through YOUR Son and THAT IT IS YOU WHO expects us to walk forward without fear.  Thank YOU for hearing when we call. Amen.
