Leaving the Worthless to Find God's Illuminating Grace

Proverbs 13:13-14...............13 He who despises the word will be destroyed,
But he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.
14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life,
To turn one away from the snares of death. NKJV

Ever hear someone say, "well they lived for Jesus and now they are dead in this terrible traffic accident"? Some bad things can happen to "good people", but I wonder how many things could be avoided daily when we heed the Holy Spirit to stop what we are doing and hear Him!
Just like the soccer team that had tickets on the ill-fated Germanwings flight, and yet the team made their ticket exchange for another flight and lived to tell about it! They have lived to play another soccer game.

We can find safety in the Word of God. We can run to it and find the place that is safe for us to reside that looks like obeying the Word, hearing the instructing Word and having peace to be our guide in it and through it!

There was an interesting story on the news the other day about teenage drivers and how more prone they are to terrible accidents when they have their peers with them in the car. They recorded some of the youths as they drove and I was astonished how many took their eyes off the roadway just to text or dial a number on their cell phone or talk with the passenger in the back seat. So I wonder how many are daily driving the roadways while doing this incredible feat and live to tell about it!
Yet all these young people went through a driver's course to learn the rules of the road, and it all goes out the window once they get their license! It is evident of the news reports that many young teenagers die needlessly every year by not "heeding" what they had learned before taking the steering wheel of the car!
Interesting that they thought to record all this, but we know we receive what the Word says about this situation and others just like it.  For any believer in Jesus, our course of action is to dedicate and consecrate wholly ourselves to Him, that we will carry our His plan for our lives. It is His plan for us to have long lives that are not cut short because of some "terrible" thing happening! Jesus carried out the plan God had set for Him as we read in the Gospels of His earthly ministry.
God is looking for those who will say as Jesus did, "Not my will, Father, but Your will be done."

John 12:23-26........23 Jesus replied, "the hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.  24 I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single see. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be, My Father will honor the one who serves me. NIV

Serving the Lord, and giving honor is the theme. Where will we find Jesus? We find Him always following God's plan for His life. Jesus was taking instruction in following truth.

1 Peter 5:5-11......................5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for

"God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble."

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.    NKJV

This pride is according to this passage of scripture that which we are to cast all our care on Him. That means we are to be anxious for nothing. We are not to have anxiety! Period.
So if you have teenagers who will soon be driving, remember we do not take the report of the world that teenagers are dying by the hundreds due to cell phone use, but we believe and hold the Word of God of a good report that our children will not die, but declare the works of God!

Psalm 118:17   .......17 I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD. NKJV

We are to be sober, alert, vigilant watching over our lives and our children's that we face each day resisting the devil by faith. We are to cast down imaginations and take no thought of saying the negative for our lives or our children's lives or grand-children's lives. Our hearts are not to be troubled by anything going on in the world. As we abide in the Word of God, we are strengthened to voice what God says about us and our families.

The words "grace" and "gracious" are found almost 200 times in Scripture. The word comes from the Greek word "charis" a word that the Greeks admired. This word for God's grace is extended to man, and signifies unmerited favor, undeserved blessing, a free gift.

To whom does God give grace?  He gives it to those who humble themselves under His authority of His Word. Remember His thoughts and ways are higher than our thoughts and ways. Isaiah 55:8-9.........8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD.
9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts. NKJV

So if a person becomes proud, he will not participate in grace. The point is then, we are to remain humble, to stay in grace and operate there.

James 4:4-10.................4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"? 6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:

"God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble."

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.    NKJV

According to what is written, we are to submit to God. Draw near to HIM and we will see HIM draw near to us and to cleanse our hands, purify our hearts and not be double-minded. Seems plain does it not, that it takes some things of our doing to be humble before God?

Yes, again there is that word that "God resists the proud", "but gives grace to the humble."
We find in the Greek text, the noun humble and the verbs, humbles, and humbled are from the same root word. It refers to something that is low or made low.
Humility is the voluntary submission to God's will. It is a drawing near to HEAR Him speak to us. It comes with seeing things as they really are, and that is the godly fear, the reverence toward the God, the Creator of the universe. It is only found in the heart and never comes from the "flesh creature".

It is the standard of a true belief and trust in submitting to God, not by show like the Pharisees, but actually obeying and following God and being willing to submit what He instructs to our hearts!  So following after Jesus, and serving Him, is a true look of humility.

So being humble before God and being obedient would be the culmination of our walk with God and NOT TO WORRY! It is about trust in what He gives us in truth of His Word for life. Casting all the concerns, all the worries, all anxieties, once and for all on Him knowing He will perfect that which concerns us.

Even to the point of the Cross, Jesus said in Matthew 26:39, 42, 44..............Matt 26:39-44
39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." 40 Then He came to the disciples and found them asleep, and said to Peter, "What? Could you not watch with Me one hour? 41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." 42 Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done." 43 And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. 44 So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
NKJV

Like for Jesus, grace is able to make us strong in weakness............1 Timothy 1:14...14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. NKJV

That grace will put us over and strengthen us as we take on that which tries to stop us!

Grace will give us instruction............Titus 2:11-12..............11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,   NKJV

Grace will change our speech..........Ephesians 4:29.........29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. NKJV

Colossians 4:6........"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how to answer each one."

God's grace always causes us to rise above the circumstance and take our place in victory. It always comes from humbling our hearts and heeding His instruction, for He truly knows what is on our pathway that could cause harm, but heeding Him will cause us to live in safety and abide in His peace.
2 Peter 3:17-18................17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.  NKJV

Father, Your Word says that "if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8). We pray today that we will not deceive ourselves by not asking You where we are missing the mark You have set for our lives. Please reveal to us when we are not doing the things we should be doing. We understand today that YOU discipline those You love (Proverbs. 3:12) Help us today to hear Your specific instructions to us. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. The discipline YOU bring Father produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who are trained by it. (Hebrews 12:11)
Right now we confess any sin in our heart and ask forgiveness in faith knowing You will cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Give to us clear revelation and show us what we need to see in order to walk out of the shadow of the past and into the light You have for us. Give us discernment to recognize that which is worthless to us and help us to move away from it.
Today we humble ourselves to be submitted and to receive Your instruction. Rule over our hearts, minds, souls and bodies with Your Word. We commit to live worry free in the name of Jesus, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death.
Today we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us to walk this journey into life eternal with You. All things are possible for us because we are believers. It is in Jesus' name we have prayed. Amen.

There is a Whole Lot of Talking Going On

2 Chronicles 18:12-17.......12 Then the messenger who had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, "Now listen, the words of the prophets with one accord encourage the king. Therefore please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak encouragement." 13 And Micaiah said, "As the LORD lives, whatever my God says, that I will speak." 14 Then he came to the king; and the king said to him, "Micaiah, shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain?" And he said, "Go and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand!" 15 So the king said to him, "How many times shall I make you swear that you tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?" 16 Then he said, "I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And the LORD said, 'These have no master. Let each return to his house in peace.' " 17 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "Did I not tell you he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?"  NKJV

Micaiah was honorable. He spoke only what God told him to speak.
John 5:19-23 ..........19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23 that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. NKJV
UNITY!

We find the king wanted his flesh creature soothed and fur to be stroked, so to speak, but Micaiah the prophet was only going to speak the truth God gave him to speak.

This passage of scripture from 2 Chronicles 18:1-13........is where King of Judah.....Jehoshaphat allied himself with Ahab. The King of Judah always wanted God's word on every move and action. Yet this same King allied himself with Ahab...........a man who had 400 prophets who were not men of God.......and they all prophesied the same thing. But King Jehoshaphat asked  Ahab, if he had any other prophets and bring him .....................and Ahab said"  well there is Micaiah, the son of Imla, but I hate him for Micaiah always prophesies evil concerning me."         Even when confronted to lie , the prophet still told truth...he had to tell truth (even reading further of how the people were all scattered sheep with no Shepherd) from verse 16!  The lesson in all this.........is that if all want unity, some unity is that which ultimately brings disaster and much death. As in this case and even reading further, "unity is NOT ALWAYS GOOD FOR THE WRONG THING".

There should be "no compromising  beliefs"!
It is in our trusting God and His word of truth that keeps us safe and out of harms way! It is  always that which comes back to each of us as a walk in OBEDIENCE to what God says.

Isaiah 59:18-19...........18 According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay,
Fury to His adversaries,
Recompense to His enemies;
The coast lands He will fully repay.
19 So shall they fear
The name of the LORD from the west,
And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.  NKJV

Our union is with God. It is that unity that stands. It is the same as in the union of a couple. The man taking his wife, a good thing.......for the husband.
Proverbs 18:22........22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing,
And obtains favor from the LORD. NKJV

Obtaining favor from the LORD and walking in unity is done with no compromise. So, too, our union with God is to speak as He speaks, and to do as He has done!
There are many talking today, and many taking to the streets, but is it unity for the wrong thing? Yes, we certainly have the Word of God, but are we actually quoting the scripture, or are we just tossing it out, like in the manner of just speaking out loud, "we have Psalm 91 protection" and "let's get back to the program on T.V." or "let's get back to our meeting", or " I have to get back and work my 80 hours for this work" "and don't have time to confess right now"?

The adversary knows the Word of God too! He certainly would love our not quoting the actual scripture. Have we gotten complacent about speaking the Word we are standing on, believing for a change in our circumstances either financially, physically, or mentally? Have we just become those who believe, "well I know the Word," and think that will suffice? What about something seriously as to an illness in the body? Knowing we should have our arsenal ready of God's Word and should actually be quoting the entire Word for Word.....like speaking 1 Peter 2:24.
1 Peter 2:24..........24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.  NKJV

For I certainly know this one by heart, and so do many others who have walked down that path of body issues and stood against death and dying to live for the Lord and His Glory!

But it is standing and believing that Word THAT prevails in our lives and brings us close to God and His voice to hear when we quote the very word's Jesus spoke. It is not being complacent, but actually standing to believe for those things of God in Heaven to come to earth and prevail!

Today, was hearing what is about to transpire in Baltimore, Maryland. It is those gangs that come under unity to do what looks like violence and evil on the earth.
Our prayer is to be for all individuals, who, either, are going there, live there, or are about to be born there, that God the Father will have His way there. It is for us to believe and expect safety for all, for justice to be done, yes, and for light to come into the region to show what is wrong in the system.
Is anyone praying?
What is it that God want us to speak over this situation and every other situation that arises, and yes, there will be many more just like them. But we are to keep our focus on God alone. We pray over those things happening in other cities and states, we pray for wisdom from God to flow those leaders of Baltimore, Maryland and expect those things to be resolved in peace with no loss of lives and property. We desire our communities here to remain in peace, to have unity that is of justice in our land and no loss of lives or property for anyone. Our expectancy is to know and see that our prayers are being answered for our all members of society of this land we call America. For God truly made us in His image, did He not?

People talk today about tatoos and the blue hair, yet I saw people with tatoos in my youth. The women with the "blue hair" lived in our neighborhood. Yes, they were all those over seventy years and older of age and they were having their gray hair covered with this bluing tint. For a few years as a child, I thought I was the only grand-child with the blue-haired granny! I would not have considered having "blue" hair at the time! So any color sprayed into the hair today means nothing to me, for I saw it years ago. It is just what the person likes and are free to color away with what suits them in any color scheme.

But when we talk of unity for anything that causes harm, we have to know and hold up that Word of God as a standard and expect God to have His will and way in our lives.

I cannot find anywhere that Jesus just spoke, "well, I have Psalm 91 protection" and that was it, done and nothing more said!..No! Wrong..........we must speak  out......that Word.  Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.............! He directed us to the SPOKEN WORD..........NOT JUST SAYING PSALM 91(PROTECTION)........BUT TO THE ENTIRE PASSAGE BEING SPOKEN! When the adversary asked a question, Jesus replied like "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word the proceeds from the mouth of God."

Matthew 4:1-11................4:1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." 4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' " 5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:

'He shall give His angels charge over you,'
and,  'In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.' "

7 Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.' " 8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me." 10 Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.' " 11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.  NKJV

SO if Jesus knew He had to speak it out, then we have to speak it out as well! What is the adversary speaking and what will we lift up against him? Just saying Psalm 91 protection will not be enough.

In Proverbs 2:10-14...it says that wisdom enters our heart, and knowledge is pleasant to our soul, 11 discretion will preserve us; understanding will keep us. 12 to deliver us from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things, 13 from those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness; 14 who rejoice in doing evil, and delight in the perversity of the wicked; (NKJV)

As we stay in His Word and learning His wisdom, then we will not fall into the fear factor of relying on the five senses and of clothing ourselves in darkness!  It is imperative to have the light of God's truth shining in on the thing or the man who is set out to harm us! We do not KNOW everything that is on our path, but God certainly does. We definitely do not want to be the driver, who forcefully drives further into darkness and confusion and try to make a "right decision" based of the five-senses that bring folly.
It is the Word of God that will keep you and me, preserve you and me, and will deliver us from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things. We are to adhere to God's teachings, and stay in the light, understanding that God's ways and thoughts are life to us. As we do this daily, our hearts are growing in courage to make the "right decisions" in the moment we need them most and speak them out if the "bad" report comes. When or if the enemy appears, we have the courage in our hearts to defeat him with the light and truth of God's Word. He gave us mouths to use.
It is by confessing daily that Word over our lives and our children's lives. We speak into situations before they arise much like we pray over a trip to be made across the country before actually making the trip across country.  When we pray over the protection for the entire family going, the gas, the places to sleep and the places to stop to eat should be covered by the Word that protects and not just by saying..."Psalm 91 protection". When we plead Jesus' Blood do we know what we are doing when we speak it out and why?

When I was going through those many hours of blood transfusion, I had already been confessing the Word for months. I had already been applying and speaking it out loud, each verse, word by word. And when waiting on the result of the hemoglobin after that second blood transfusion, my Father reminded me of the confession Nahum 1:9...........it will not rise up in "me" a second time.........!
Nahum 1:7-9................7 The LORD is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.
8 But with an overflowing flood
He will make an utter end of its place, And darkness will pursue His enemies.

9 What do you conspire against the LORD?
He will make an utter end of it.
Affliction will not rise up a second time. NKJV

My God in me, was not going to allow this thing to rise up a second time in my life. My husband was sending a text by cell phone those who were waiting on some report from the procedure. The Lord had given us more ammunition to use when He gave us Nahum 1:9. My husband got a response back and there were others speaking it in unity with me "out loud" in their home! Amen!

Yes, there is a whole lot of talking going on and some is just "blah, blah, blah", but when we speak God's Word and see life from it, we see the miraculous of God come to something that others only see as a fearful place and a place of death or dying.

Father, I pray that each of us will hear and run with the vision, and the dream YOU Father placed in our hearts long ago. May we be people of unity to speak as You have spoken. May our lives burn with compassion for YOUR Word and  MAY our days be not lackluster, but our horizons shimmer like the sun on the waves of the ocean, always drawing us ever closer to the purpose OF Your plan for our lives as we speak and pray Your Word. We pray our words would always be the same as YOURS and that we would always be growing to be ever led to those paths of new adventures in YOU!

WE know that You have given us Your Holy Spirit and according to John 3:34,35 “for since He Whom God has sent speaks the words of God [proclaims God’s own message], God does not give Him His Spirit sparingly or by measure, but boundless is the gift God makes of His Spirit! The Father loves the Son and has given (entrusted, committed) everything into His hand.” By this Holy Word, You gave to Us Your Holy Spirit without measure. I loose HIM now into our lives. Holy Spirit spark our lives with the match of faith.
May our lives be dominated by YOUR truth that sets captives free and may we always be those who will encourage others to speak in unity knowing that as we hold up that Word of God as a standard, that we are expectant God to have His will and way in our lives. In Jesus's name, amen and amen!

WHEN MERCY PLEADS

Psalm 55:2-7.........2 Attend to me, and hear me;
I am restless in my complaint, and moan noisily,
3 Because of the voice of the enemy,
Because of the oppression of the wicked;
For they bring down trouble upon me,
And in wrath they hate me.

4 My heart is severely pained within me,
And the terrors of death have fallen upon me.
5 Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me,
And horror has overwhelmed me.
6 So I said, "Oh, that I had wings like a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest.
7 Indeed, I would wander far off,
And remain in the wilderness.  NKJV

Is anyone speaking negative against you? Words can do as much harm to us as those "sticks and stones" might do! Some may disagree, but when having the many opportunities to minister to women and teens, I have seen so many wounded by the words  of death spoken over them by a spouse, another sibling or grand-parent!  When we see a teen not care about their safety, it is because the one of authority, that parent figure is either out of the picture or just does their own thing with no regard for the child in their care! Today we are a society that has cast away children. It did not start today but long ago.
The most important thing to remember is that everyone has some kind of past. Everyone has experiences of what a parent did or did not to do in regards to their care in bringing said child up to adulthood. But we should always know we can "choose" to move away from those things and find life. For my family, I have seen so many choose life in God.

I know from my own experience, that when my husband prays over me everyday (generally at night as we read and pray the Word) I hear words that strengthen my spirit man.  When he gives the prayer the focus of his thoughts, it is those words that plant the Word and builds into my spirit man, a mighty fortress,  that which he is believing for me for today and for my future days!

In the scripture above, David is restless in his complaint. He mentions the voice of the enemy and how the wicked have brought trouble to him. The wrath he mentions is that wrath that is of the devil and the devil will use anyone who stays on the side of wrath, jealousy, contentions, selfish ambitions, and envy. As we see in Galatians 5 that the works of the sinful man are evident.

Galatians 5:19-25..............19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. NKJV

David goes on to say that those who hate him have caused pain within him. That which kills by the word had come to him, and pinned his heart into pain, into a dismal existence, into a desolate and fearful place where he wanted to fly away like the dove and remain in the wilderness.
Psalm 55........4My heart is severely pained within me,
And the terrors of death have fallen upon me.
5 Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me,
And horror has overwhelmed me.
6 So I said, "Oh, that I had wings like a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest.
7 Indeed, I would wander far off,
And remain in the wilderness.

David wanted to remain in the place where there were no people, so he would not have to hear the complaints of others against him. Hearing wrath and contentions had made him come to a dismal place. Sometimes those sickening words of death make you feel "ill".  But by verse 16 of the same Psalm, we see David doing something.

Psalm 55:16, 17, 19, 22, 23.................16 As for me, I will call upon God,
And the LORD shall save me.
17 Evening and morning and at noon
I will pray, and cry aloud,
And He shall hear my voice.
18 He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me,
For there were many against me.
19 God will hear, and afflict them,
Even He who abides from of old.
Selah
Because they do not change,
Therefore they do not fear God.

22 Cast your burden on the LORD,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

23 But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction;
Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days;
But I will trust in You. NKJV

We are to be kind to ourselves and to those around us. But many people today have had no one to speak kindness in any manner to them. If you were called "brat", then someone belittled you and called you something that God the Father never intended. If someone called you "stupid' " or "you will not amount to anything" then you have no strength in your inner man to help you walk out your daily life. Words can kill or they can bring life!
Proverbs 18:21..............21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit. NKJV

God's Word gives us life....and speaking right words brings us to health,  brings us to have a vigor for life!......Proverbs 16:24..................24 Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. NKJV

In our prayer time, my husband chooses the scriptures the Lord shows him. In directing that prayer over me, he is holding on in faith that Word which he speaks goes forth and will be performed in my life.
When two people come together in marriage and both brought some baggage from their past, it is certain if God does not have HIS way, the ole' flesh creature will have his way! And either one or both parties can revert into the world. Someone has to have mercy and to let go of the past "hurts" even when it still hurts! Even though one party may be on the outside of life, we should still be those who look to God and His faithfulness and BELIEVE THAT HE CAN DO THE IMPOSSIBLE, and then look out devil!
If we continually seek the other's good, would we see a change, not only in our homes, but in our communities and the nation as well?

I had prayed for others to be comforted when I needed comfort and had none but God's. Praise the Lord! He is our saving strength. He carries us if we need carrying and He will surely walk beside us when we can walk again! My prayer was not making a deal with God. My prayer was that He would have His way in my husband's life, my life, and our daughter's as well. My prayer was the kind of prayer for everybody involved in my family, and because of sins, any fallout as such, would affect everybody in the entire "family"! I was also praying for our family to be spared.
Romans 8:31-39........................If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died-more than that, who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. NIV
We thank YOU for upholding us with YOUR hand and that our steps are ordered by YOU.

He calls me the priest of the Lord, as a  minister of God and that I will eat the wealth of the nations. He also prays that we believe together that no weapon formed against me shall prosper and that any tongue that rises against me in judgment shall be shown to be in the wrong.
He also prays that we both together hold onto the pattern of sound teaching in faith and in love which is in us in Christ Jesus. He prays that I will be consistently opening my mouth boldly to declare courageously as I ought to do to get the Gospel to the people. And then my husband declares he stands and under girds me in prayer. He also states he will speak only the words that will edify me.

I always think of this scripture when my husband prays over me..............Proverbs 18:22...22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing,  And obtains favor from the LORD. NKJV

Now was it easy for me to hear him pray............that for me at the beginning?  No! It was not easy. It is how we look at ourselves and how we believe of what we deserve. It is all those things that which can mount on top of us when things go terribly wrong and we know not why things changed on us so abruptly. It is those very things that can pull families apart by divorce or just by miscommunication on every side. It can amount to "he said" and "she said".......and we must communicate. I cannot stress that enough.........that we must be men and women who communicate, not with a tongue lashing but with a coming in mercy and respect for the other person whom we are wanting mercy with at the time.

By staying with God and His Word, I have found life and strength to say NO! to a lot of things I carried with me especially those things of the last ten years or so. When when things look like abandonment, and things that would bother me or even to try tempt me to be the "wounded party" at some time off and on, I have them no more. Two people in any situation are the wounded no matter the circumstance or trouble. I have words spoken over me everyday, and not only by me only, but by my husband who speaks as the prophet of our home and declares good things for his wife!
James 2:12-13...........12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.  NKJV

In giving mercy to myself, I receive that which another would speak as good in favor for me. Just as in the salvation plan, justice demands the sinner condemned, but mercy pleads for salvation and mercy prevails. Mercy is that which pleads, prays, and seeks another's good.

Several years ago, we were living in the Seattle metro area, and it was a busy winter time season. For some reason people were shopping EARLY IN THE SEASON, not only for groceries, but for things that seemed out of season to me at the time. But it was the city and it was busy, so you look for the longest line and hope it moves quickly! (Have to remember most of those long lines held the one and only checker working in that huge store and usually the other three open were for 12 items and less )
So I finally get to be the third in line. Hooray, I can see the whites of the cashier's eyes. I AM almost through and on my way home!
The lady#1 moves through with all her Christmas stuff she wanted on sale. Hooray!
Then the lady#2 ahead of me moves through, and yes has some Christmas but summer stuff as well!  aaaah...............alas!
First lady#1 will not leave and then she speaks.................""oh, no don't speak, please"............but she does........and she has a complaint...............she wanted the items on sale...........well, some ticket items did not show the sale mark on them, because it was only The one item to be had...........and she took two of the same thing, with only sale on first item...! There were no second's on any she had picked out to purchase.  She had avoided the "limit" on those items she wanted. Then # 1 lady speaks...................."oh no, she is talking again, only louder"! Yes, much louder this #1 speaks.........!  Cashier responds, "ticketed sale items says to limit one per customer", "so if you bought two and you did, the second is full price"!

Yes, you guessed it. Lady #1 did not want the extra item if it was not on sale........so through the whole basket, they now took out every bag she purchased.........they NOW had to go through and switch out what she did not want..........!
So I stand and praise the Lord. I pray in tongues. Look happy now girl, smile, because you may be the only example of Jesus' love in this place. Finally I get to the check-out counter. Yes, I look to see if Lady #1 is coming back, for she certainly had not gone out the front door yet, but kept the receipt in her hand as she stood by the Front Desk Customer Service Counter of store.

The sweet cashier, apologized for the long wait and the extra things that had transpired. And the Lord had me to say, "No problem".......... " it is the holiday season, "so we should expect more people out and getting ready for their families holiday time together", "we live in a big city with lots of people and shopping for groceries can take some time" "and you know ....it was all good!"
The cashier stopped, looked at me, and said "thank you". She smiled, she laughed and came into an ease and comfort that it "was all good".

My prayer had been to be like Mary the mother of Jesus who said "yes" with no holding back. That God's word to me would be fulfilled, come to pass and no looking back to the past. I prayed to be an example of faithfulness like Deborah who judged the people of Israel in truth and righteousness. And I had begun some prayers for my husband who had not heard them, but God had!
I had prayed for women who needed resurrection of marriages and resurrection of families because I needed it for myself as well. I had prayed in His holy name for women, who against all odds, would get to the "safe" place to create a place for their families to live and that those still hurting, would receive strength to go forward and find their needed strength in the Lord of Glory!

I was always giving thanks that the Lord of glory would prevail and I would see my family receive and do what God had planned from the start.

I was going to speak words that gave life to something that was dying. I spoke the Life of God into dead things to see them rise again. I spoke and believe and I still speak and I still believe that God is not done with this family and THAT WE will see our greatest days ahead of us and not behind us. If God be for me (US), who can be against me (US)?

"For your sake we face death all day long;  we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

Start PROPHESYING and continue praying and expect God the Father to release His power over those dry bones. It may look like the darkest hour before the dawn, but we must believe and hold on to His truth!  GO AHEAD AND SPEAK WHAT HE SAYS!

Father, today we pray for men and women alike who have been cut down by words that harmed their strength and stopped them "dead" in their tracks in life, that today they receive strength to go forward and find their needed strength in You our Lord of glory. Make us strong where we are weak. We pray that YOU help us to rise above anything that erects itself as a stronghold in our lives and show us any words that we speak that are not merciful to another human being.
Remove all that is not of You and help us to take charge over our own spirits and have self-control to resist anything and anyone who becomes a lure. May we abhor what is evil and cling to what is good.  According to Psalm  37:18-20….WE pray and confess that The LORD knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever. 19 they  (we) shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and in the day of famine they (we) shall be satisfied. 20 But the wicked shall perish;
And the enemies of the LORD, Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away. 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD,  And He delights in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand. NKJV

We know that YOU are our source of love, companionship and friendship. It was Your desire to restore man back to YOU, and that includes restoration for families and people to have friends. Father,You know the hearts of people, so we will not be deceived by outward appearances. Father, thank You for quality friends who help us build stronger character and draw closer to You. Help us to walk as a friend to others and to love our friends at all times. Help us to see marriages and relationships restored that were lost and dying to spoken words of death and not to life. Today we will laugh with those who laugh, we will rejoice with those who rejoice and we will weep with those who weep. Teach us how to walk this out with a spouse, a child and even our grown children. Help us to pray and be supportive using merciful words that heal. Help us to relax around people, even our spouse and children, and to be ourselves. Instruct our hearts and mold our character, that we may be faithful, trustworthy and of good report in the restoration of marriages, restoration of families and those that You are sending into our lives as friends.
We thank You today, that we can entrust ourselves and our need for restoration of marriages and families into YOUR holy Hands! Amen!

How Often Do We Tell Our Children We Are Well Pleased with Them?

Matthew 3:16-17.............16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."  NKJV

Matthew 17:1-8...........17:1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." 5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!" 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Jesus came and touched them and said, "Arise, and do not be afraid." 8 When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.   NKJV

How many times do we tell our children that we are pleased with them? Even when they are grown up and have a family of their own, do we still let them know that we are pleased with them?
Do we spend quality time with those who are still living at home, those who might need the encouragement and support of family structure or do we let them run "free"?
Do we speak words of life or death over them?
NOW God thought telling His Son that He was pleased with Him was important enough to have it written down as truth for us to read and know about it. As we have read in chapter 4 of the book of Matthew, we know Jesus was tempted by the devil. Do you think Jesus kept what His Father spoke in His heart while out in the "wilderness" to be tested? And then we see as well, that God talked to His Son again and even told the disciples to hear HIM!

Is hearing those words important to our well-being? What encouragement can we, as the parent or parents, give to our child or children, grown or still at home, that will make a difference? In Jesus' life, he was obeying the command to be baptized. He was following what was sent as instruction. In Matthew 17 and verses 1-8 we see God the Father giving Jesus authority to do something, and the command was for those to listen and heed!

I heard this story about this lady. It was many years ago. She went to the Dr. with this high fever. The Dr. did many tests on her and took weeks to get all the reports back. He, the Dr. , had many questions for her and could not make a decision of the right diagnosis for what was ailing her. So after many questions, and all the time spent, she replied to the "no diagnosis" with a sharp "well that just burns me up", and "after all the time I have given to come in for these tests and the money which has been spent that has a result of  no diagnosis"! The Dr. then told her she could have what she said about the whole thing. Then he went on to explain how the body will line up with what we speak to it. It has hearing ears to hear and when we tell it is tired, then it can and will become tired or sick with the flu or whatever is coming down the pike. He explained that the body would obey her command! But we can refuse it, the Dr. told her. Then the woman felt silly for saying something that her body was trying to do for her....to accommodate the command.......and that was to" burn up"

I think of Jesus and the amount of time He walked the earth. I go back and look at the times He went up on the mountain to pray and have that alone time with God. He certainly needed to hear His Father's voice and so do we! Like getting to know the Father helped Jesus take the steps to the Cross at Calvary and become the greatest sacrifice for mankind!

Would time spent with the Lord help us get to know our children better, help us encourage them when they need encouragement and  pray for them when the Lord is directing us to pray for them for a special thing or just because we are their parents?
As parents and future parents,  we have the opportunity to stay fresh in the Word of God. We have the opportunity to spend time learning God's Ways and thoughts and become accustomed to His speaking to us about our children. (even our grown children)
For He certainly has a plan for them for their good and not evil and He gives them a hope in their final outcome. As parents we have that opportunity to reach out and take hold for them when they cannot do it yet for themselves. We can reach forward to tomorrow and hold on in faith by prayer and the promises of God and expect what the Lord has spoken all along will come to pass for each of those children.

As parents, we can pray for any rivalry among siblings become non-existent. We can become instruments of reconciliation among our children and break down the barriers that may have been there for a long time. The Lord can direct us to those things that hinder and reveal His plan how to move through any barriers and how to direct His Word that brings more light to any circumstance and enable the child or children to walk in light as the Father is in the Light!

Our prayer should include that our children will persevere. Whatever their walk in life, they are created to fulfill something "specific" for God! Each of our children, whatever age today,  has a place to stand and fulfill. Each has the opportunity to stand and do mighty things for God and to His glory. No matter if they are not in His will right now, no matter that all things look bleak for them, no, the Word of God is living, active and will perform when we send it out in faith believing the best for our children.
When our daughter was born, I remember prophesying over her. I held her in my arms for the first time and spoke that God was going to do mighty things through her. I have today seen her touch lives that were untouchable. I have seen her go above and beyond in distance to reach that "one" who needs a touch from God!
God Himself has enabled her to walk worthy of his calling for her. She is the woman of God who sees to that she is not side-lined but on track, much like a train, and going forward to the destination He has called her. Our prayer for her has been that she not get discouraged so she will not be defeated.
When our daughter was in grade school, she was always having conversations with the group of people as a whole. She could talk as easily with the teacher as she could with a child her own age. When we were out roller skating as a family, she could see her friends and parents come in and easily strike up a conversation with them all and have them all participating in a "group talk" so to speak!

In and through this time, around her early teen years, she had eczema on her arms and back of her legs. She had things like prednisone and other things to take, but still that thing would try rising up time and time again and side-line her. There were times we knew she was not feeling her 100 percent, and she would spend much of that time with her school work and trying to rest. Not having the Word of God active for her, we spent much time feeling defeated and wondering what to do next. But when we got hold of the word much later, we saw the change for her. She was holding God's word and lifting her eyes above circumstances. Even at some times, for just a moment, holding that Word up to God, we could see the purpose God had planned for her.
She has continued to reverence her God and to seek truth. She has continually asked for discernment to make the right decisions based on God's revelations of the Word to her. Her desire is to make those godly choices and keep from doing anything foolish. And understand too, when we start moving toward God's plan for our lives, the enemy will try his best to divert our plans.  When our daughter moved to the northwest and got started with her pastoral degree, she certainly saw some conflict by the enemy and had to hold her ground. She had to stand in that "fertile field" and expect to guard it alone if need be with God alone! Today she is an administrative pastor who meets with pastors and leaders of other churches to provide the tools and resources available in encouraging them in their call!

Today, as a parent she and her husband pray that their child will listen to godly counselors and not be one who is not teachable. They remind their child that a good listener will heed the warnings that keeps them safe in situations. And as grand-parents, we pray that our grand-child will do what is right rather than follow the leading of their own flesh. For we know the wisdom of this world is foolishness with the Lord (1 Corinthians 3:19) .  We always pray that our grand-child will not buy into foolishness, but will keep their eyes on the Good Shepherd and have ears to hear His voice.

2 Peter 1:12-21...................12 For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. 13 Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, 14 knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. 15 Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.

16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. NKJV

I love what Peter wrote.............16. for we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17. for He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: "This is MY beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. ............................................................................................................................................................... 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
We are to speak, and see the Word we speak.........the Promises of God....manifested!   We are to declare for our child, children or grand-children and see those mighty words of God come to pass. Today, I pray, loosing the Holy Spirit, that men and woman who read this with children of any age, will rise up and speak scripture over their child or children or grand-children. I loose the Holy Spirit to stir men and women to speak more words of life over their future children, young age children and their grown children. Pray the will of God into their lives and their future children's lives as well. Remember we are "faith" people. We walk by "faith" and not by sight!

When my husband and I received our prayer language back in the early, early 70's, one book came into my hands by the dear lady who prayed for us to receive our prayer language. Her name was Alberta. What a dear one who loved the Word of God and prayer!  The book she had me to read was written by Don Gossett. It is called "What You Say is What You Get!  This book was absolute truth and what he wrote about. When I got this into my hands and read more than once in just a couple of days, I was aware of something I had not noticed before and that was how people were getting exactly what they said for themselves and their children! What this gentleman shared in the beginning of the book was the testimony of healing and how his wife continued to speak God's word without wavering. The testimony was how after receiving and believing the word, his wife walked out of rheumatic fever. After months in bed, and reading the Word of God to her, they came across the scripture, "The Lord is the strength of my life.". His wife got out of bed slowly, but kept her mouth working with repeating the scripture and believing. Verification came that she was completely and totally healed of the killing disease rheumatic fever.
The other main point he started with was the truth of "who" we are in Christ. The second was what we have in this life according to what Jesus did on the cross as the Great Sacrifice. And thirdly,  he wrote that we can do all things through Christ. So in and through this, my husband saw something we had not seen before and applied it to our lives.

As the devil came to Jesus in the wilderness to "test" Him (Matthew 4), we too, must recognize that the devil and his demons can come and will come, especially if there is an "open door" , as in not forgiving someone. It is important for us to confess something like that immediately and not hold on to the "hurts" that someone may cause us! That will only cause sickness in us. It will cause us to become "bitter". We are not to be ignorant of the devils devices . It is quoting the Word of God that we set up the standard by His Word. 2 Corinthians 10:4-6....4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.  NKJV

For the Word of God is not some fable, but truth and power. It is knowing this power exists in knowing God and what He has planned for each of us. He can do abundantly above all that you or I can ask or think according to the power that works in us. (Ephesians 3:20-21) Plead the Blood of Jesus over your children and grand-children, and fight the good fight of faith!

Father, I pray in Jesus’ name for the transforming power of Your Holy Spirit  to come into our lives, our daily walk, and declare knowing that by what was spoken in Luke 18:27,  "What is impossible with men is possible with God."  Grant us, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might through Your Spirit in our inner being. Transform us into Your likeness. Make us fresh where we have become stale. Lead us and instruct us where we have become un-teachable, and make us to be faithful and obedient like Jesus was. You spoke over Your Son that YOU WERE PLEASED WITH HIM! We too, desire to speak words of faith over our children, and grand-children. We desire Your help in this and lead us to speak Your heart for each of them. We desire to be one with You and agree with what YOU say about them! We desire to pray in power over them and to believe for great changes for them. We pray for lives to be transformed by the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Father, show us where we might miss the mark in not forgiving another person. We desire to understand the forgiveness You have toward us. We do not want to block or cause any hindrances toward holding that kind of sin that would block our children's futures as we pray for them. Please teach us to how to always love our enemies as YOU have commanded.

Today, we worship You and express our thanksgiving before You. We exalt You in our home for YOU are worthy to be praised. Thank You for Your plans and purposes for our families. We expect Your will be done in each life You so carefully planned for in this day and hour. You are our Healer, our Deliverer, our Comforter, our Redeemer! In Ezekiel 22:30 Father, You could find no one to stand in the gap for You on behalf of the land, but we pray that we would be determined to stand in the gap for our loved ones and may Your kingdom come into their lives today. We stand and believe that our children, whatever age, are blessed with supernatural strength, blessed of the Lord coming in and going out. We believe them to have compassionate hearts and will always have positive outlook on their lives. All things are possible to us who believe in Jesus' name. Amen.

An Empty Tomb

Matthew 28:1-10.............28:1 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4 And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. 5 But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you." 8 So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.

9 And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me." NKJV

Jesus accomplished what He came to do for us!
"Do not be afraid.Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee and there they will see Me."

Do not be afraid little flock for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Luke 12:32-34.............32 Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  NKJV

Do not fear, but hold on. Do not look back, but run forward with expectation. Do not act on the world's report, but hold the Word before you and experience the kingdom of God first hand.
Our participation is that of the relationship that comes by following and speaking as Jesus did with the Father. Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing. Luke 4:21
What are we hearing? Is it the Word of God?
There is an EMPTY TOMB, and IT was heaving with life being given to Jesus to walk out what He believed and spoke. AND WHEN HE WALKED OUT, He was not wrapped in grave clothes!
All that He had given in all of His teachings to the disciples and the people proclaimed what He believed to be true!
See, He has arisen. Has He arisen in our lives or ARE we still doing the same 'ole stuff? Has He arisen.........and the enemies be scattered.  Psalm 68:1-3.....Let God arise,
Let His enemies be scattered;
Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.
2 As smoke is driven away,
So drive them away;
As wax melts before the fire,
So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 But let the righteous be glad;
Let them rejoice before God;
Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly. NKJV

Verse 4 of Matthew 28 tells us the guards became as dead men. They fell in fright, and fainted in the presence of God. But the righteous were glad. They were rejoicing. They were exceedingly glad of the events they saw manifested before their eyes! Those who knew not God fainted in the day of adversity.

Proverbs 24:10....10 If you faint in the day of adversity,  Your strength is small.  NKJV

adversity: trouble, distress

They fainted to see the glowing angel from heaven move a boulder out of the way! Not something someone would see everyday, but when God shows up, look out! They were not trained in the Word of God and they were not expecting anything as tremendous as this thing they saw!

Then those who were looking on, those expectant, those disciples ran to the city to tell others what had transpired. They had the "good report". Our expectation must not be bound in what we think it might look when it all comes together. When we are expecting something, we should look with God's eyes and not ours. We should look with the faith He has given us to stand with and know it is going to be "good". Never limit God with what you saw Him do for you last year or even last month. Because He is God, He can do more than we could ever actually think or ask. Seriously He did not need my help to create the universe. He did a great job without my help. so I know He can help do things for my family that I could not fathom, but I surely want to get that face mask on and dive deeper into the water of His Word and see His  glory revealed! I desire to participate in prayer and study to show myself approved to God, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:14-18....14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17 And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, 18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. NKJV

Christ Jesus gave a promise: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father”…(John 14:22) He was saying “ I am going back to the Father, but you will become the voice of God.” Christ is the Word of the Father, but we were to be that voice. Just as we saw Him speak to the devil (Matthew 4) by giving the Word of God, we are to speak, to voice what God has already said.

What happened in that empty tomb, was all that Word that Jesus spoke brought Him to and through the most horrifying thing as the Cross. The Holy Spirit brought Him out of the place of death and dying to the place of living, of life and of God! All that Word was wrapped up in power released to do the impossible!
So what do we need wrapped up in power today?
What are we expecting or seeking from the Lord? Have we wrapped up in the Word of God and loosed the Holy Spirit to have His way and see the miraculous for us, for our family, or how about for our neighbor?
Is there a tomb heaving at your house that is about to bring life out of deathbed situation? Is there life about to spring from a bad report of sickness, or job loss? Is there life about to spring forth in the new thing God has planned for you to do? Is all brought to the tomb to be buried ONLY to come alive NOW with the life of God and propel you into the greatest move of God for this time, for you and your family and never be the same in Jesus' name?
Jesus accomplished what He came to do for us!
"Do not be afraid.Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee and there they will see Me."

Father, help us in Jesus' name to leave the tomb with the new thing You have for us to do! Help us to know that the best is on its way today much like giving birth to a new baby. For we know much comes from carrying a baby for nine months or even for ten months, but we come expecting that the best is yet to be for our family. In the time of those three days that tomb held His body dead with our sins,  locked behind a great boulder, most probably felt defeated. But You sent help from heaven for that to move. Your kingdom is in us today because of that one event. We stand with the Holy Spirit and loose HIM now to move that which has to move and may YOUR holy Word, come to pass for that which we are believing and standing for our loved one(s).......................(name or names here) .

Father, we are told to not be afraid but go and tell others that Jesus has arisen. He has arisen in our hearts and our lives. Today we ask that YOU guide us into the deeper move of YOU, into the fathom of the great love YOU gave in giving us YOUR Son Jesus. Help us to know that the more Word we speak, the more Word will we see the moving of GOD in our lives to YOUR glory and power on earth as it is in Heaven. We are thankful for the daily bread, that which sustains life. For we know YOU take care of our wants, but we give thanks for the Word of God and prayer as Jesus showed us as the example of a relationship devoted to YOU. May we express the beauty of YOU and speak as Jesus spoke over situations and people. We want to be people of power who know God and are active in the role of the parent who is active confessing and praying for children and other family members.
Today, it is Your reign we seek here for this prayer. It is Your power to accomplish what we believe YOU can do and which is that know only God can accomplish when we believe! And we give YOU  honor and much thanks for YOUR kingdom that has come. We celebrate the truth of YOU our God and know that YOU are our sufficiency.

We loose the Holy Spirit to take us deeper into YOUR Word Father and may He have His way to lead us to participate no matter the day or the hour. And may we hold on to that expectancy that God is never late, but is always on time. Amen.
