Challenge Worry with Life Building Thoughts

Worry!
How can one possibly challenge worry?

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
Matthew 6:28 So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Matthew 6:31 Therefore do not worry, saying, "What shall we drink? or What shall we wear?' 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

If we look at the context of how this is given, we find that Matthew 6 points to do good to please God. Matthew 6:1 Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.
So seeking God is paramount and high over that of trying to gain praise from men.
Jesus goes on to enlist prayer in Matthew 6:5-15 and then He talks about fasting to be seen only by God and not to go tell the many you know of your fasting practices.
Then Jesus gives the warning of avarice. Because avarice had a friend attached and he is called anxiety!
Now Jesus does not prohibit material possessions but He does object to material possessions having rule over us and tying us to this earth. For those selfish in nature will chase that extravagant materialism and we should seek not to have that kind of eye.
Jesus goes on to mention the importance of our eye and that if our eye is bad, our whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in us is darkness, how great is that darkness!
We should be running to have a relationship with the Lord so we have a developed commitment to Him, to His will and to His ways.

When we get to Matthew 6:24 we find Jesus talking about one cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve God and mammon. We will either serve God or we will serve money. Proverbs tells us that riches has wings and will fly away.
Proverbs 23:4-5 Do not work to be rich; because or your own understanding, cease! 5 Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly can make themselves wings; they fly away like an eagle toward heaven.

I know about twenty years ago that there was much teaching about how God wanted us to prosper and they emphasized money. But God wants us to manage money so it will not manage us. I heard a report the other day of how many people are maxed out on their credit cards again just like those back in 2008 and 2009!  And we know a lot that happened and contributed to the scandalous practices of money lenders then was about bankers in many loaning departments loaned people money to buy homes they could not afford to pay back, for what they made monthly was short of their required payment needed monthly for repayment!

Worry causes us to be divided from our attention toward God. If our vision of God is divided by money matters, our vision is then divided. And division will divide one into portions and pieces. Daily needs occur, but it should not be that which brings division for that is unfruitful. Worry moves us out of faith and into unbelief. It is acting like God does not exist when He certainly does exist.

My husband and I just saw last week ( November 12) of the planet Neptune having the two moons, and one of them rotates around the planet, but the other moon is stationary. The one moon actively rotating does this oscillation move  that avoids the stationary moon when it makes its orbit close to it. NASA had just released this picture showing what it look like and I was in 'awe' of a great God who created these two moons that project the very existence of His glorious skill in being the Creator!
In viewing this orbit, this dancing motion of a moon, the orbiting moon moves consistently away out of line of the stationary moon and keeps right on moving through its ordered orbit around Neptune. Amazing!

So how could you or I be worried about tomorrow, about money or even healing when we have a God who has such strategy to move us out of harm's way to continue in the step of full light when we first seek Him and His plan for our lives? Our lives are in His hands. He has greater care for us because He has a plan for us.
Whatever provision we require, it will always follow that person whose priorities are concerned with God's ways, His work and His will which is His kingdom. If God's kingdom has come into our lives, then it is His rule we will see and His provision will flow to us without hindrances.
Jesus faced temptation at key moments of His ministry: in the wilderness prior to His public ministry, prior to His transfiguration and prior to His crucifixion.
Like Jesus, we have to know that we are a son of God, and when we know we have this walk of faith, we cannot be deterred by the Peter's in this life! For Jesus told them in Matthew 16:21-27 that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes and be killed and be raised the third day. ( Matthew 16:21) Yet Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying "Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!"
Then Jesus rebuked Peter! Matthew 16:23 "Get behind Me Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."
And remember Satan said the same to Jesus denoting that he could avoid suffering when Jesus met him in the wilderness and before the ministry began!
And right before Jesus was taken in the Garden of Gethsemane, it was time for praying, but the disciples could not stay awake one hour to pray with Him!

Worry can appear, but we must take it captive with the words of Jesus.  The kingdom is presented and we are to live by faith as Jesus did in that grace that was presented to the world! Although many will not heed the love of God that came in the package of Jesus Christ, still He is the only way to the Father. (John 14:6)
Jesus told us in John 14:7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him." Jesus was always about revealing the Father and His love for His creation.

We have so many opportunities to see the Father in all His glory, like the two moons around the planet Neptune, in the Scripture of His Son's crucifixion or even of His birth. But alas, those who truly believe are those who will do the same works as Jesus and will do greater works because Jesus returned to His Father who sent Him. For whatever we ask in His name, that he will do, that the Father be glorified in the Son.
Only faith, that trust in Jesus will bring the required results but worry will only bring a divided focus, a divided vision of what is before us. And if His name is on it, He will do it for He spoke it from the foundation of the world.
Worry today and be dismissed tomorrow to lack and no vision. But challenge worry and build your thought life with His thoughts and you will see and do greater things for it by His grace, that we achieve His kingdom's purposes for His glory indeed! Amen

Angels, What Angels?

Angels Minister to Those Who Speak God’s Word: Matthew 4:1 1 then the devil left Him and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. (also seen in Luke 4)
1.      Angels: angelos: (ang-e-loss) spiritual heavenly attendants ..see Psalm 104:4, Luke 1:19
2.      Functioning as ministers of the Lord sent to Earth
3.      They execute His purposes and make them known to men. Daniel 10:12 Gabriel appeared to Daniel “ I have come because of your words”
In our call to the kingdom that is come, we repent, and believe with a trust in God that He will fulfill His promises. Jesus came to save the “lost” and that was us, but we now must reach others understanding that by prayer and speaking God’s truth, angels are hearing and will go with that word of God and God will see it accomplished to where it is sent. Amen!

Was working on this the last few days and was surprised to see how many times angels appeared to the average person! Now some may not refer to Daniel as average, but he served in a time when he generally stood face to face with evil. Ever read about Daniel?
Now I remembered Peter being awakened by an angel and how the gates opened for him to leave the  prison behind. Now that was some interesting adventures with God indeed!

Jesus Spoke this: Matthew 26:51-56  NKJV 51 And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear.52 But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.
53  "Or do you think that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?  55 In that hour said Jesus to the multitudes," How are you come out as against a robber with swords and clubs to take Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me.
56 " But all this was done, that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

Luke 24:18-29 NKJV 18 Then one whose name was Cleopas, answered and said unto him, " Are You the only  stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?"    19 And He said unto them, "What things?" So they said to Him, "the things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people.
20 "And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified him.  21"But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.
22 "Yes, and certain women of our company who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us.23 When they did not find His body, they came, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that He was alive.
24 "And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him  they did not see.
25 Then He said to them, O fools, & slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken: 26 "Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into His glory?  27 And beginning at Moses & all the prophets, He expounded to them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself. 28 And they drew near to the village  where they were going and He indicated that he would have gone farther . 29 But they constrained Him, saying," Abide with us: for it is toward evening, & the day is far spent & He went in to stay with them.
1.      The righteous can see angels and can hear them
2.      These people had thoughts for Jesus whom they loved & sought to know where He was placed

From Psalm 91: 12-13, we find these verses. 12 “In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot  against a stone, 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.”

Jesus stood face to face with devil and Jesus gave the devil God's word! Luke 4:3-4 NKJV 3 & the devil said to Him, “if You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” 4 But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”

Our hearts must contain the words of God. We  are to continually look up: not to the situation or the bad report, but look up and see who walked out of the tomb….the tomb of defeat to the rightful place of victory and gave us a new life in HIM!
We speak God’s word & the angels carry out what the spoken word is meant to do! Psalm 103:20 bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You ministers of His who do His pleasure.
It is angels who serve to bless God that is they worship and serve His will. They do His word on Earth as it is in Heaven. They heed Him when He speaks. And we can sound like speaking God's word over every situation, circumstance and disease!     Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? Angels revolve around the ministry of the church Jesus established. They advance His ministry on earth as it is in heaven.

If we truly understand that this is a righteous walk of faith, we remain active not only speaking God's word but expectant to see Him move through our circumstances and by change see that angel as like Daniel, Peter and Mary did!
In this work God has called us to is this: that " the priority is seeing the foundation laid "in everyday living; and within that the Lord’s blessings begin to flow in and through our lives. That foundation is with the Cornerstone Who made a new life possible for each of us who have repented of the old man and his sins and received the life everlasting, that is one filled with hope of promises that we can expect to be fulfilled in our lifetimes!
Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord!" Let it be unto me according to Your word."
And the angel departed.
Peter said this: (from Acts 12:5-11) "Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people."
Daniel said this: Daniel 10: 16-18 And suddenly, one having the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips; then I opened my mouth and spoke, saying to him who stood before me, "My lord, because of the vision my sorrows have overwhelmed me, and I have retained no strength. 17 "for how can this servant of my lord walk with you, my lord? as for me, no strength remains in me now, nor is any breath left in me."
Gabriel was sent by Jesus to minister to Daniel. And Daniel experienced an overwhelming power greater than himself. He Daniel, was given encouragement and refreshing. Those if you who read about them that were Daniel hid from the presence of this. Although Daniel saw in a vision still others experience the magnitude of God's presence with the angel.

For you and I, we are to keep our communion with God just like Daniel, Mary and Peter. His strength becomes our strength. His word delivers into the positive life giving force that is for our good and not evil giving a hope in the final outcome. May Almighty God enable us to comply always to His will and to stand complete in Him. And when irritants come to irritate us, then we can stand in His peace and love and pray for His will to be done on earth, that is in us and through us for His glory, just like He did in Peter, Mary and Daniel. And Hey, if you see an angel .....well good, but if not, know they are active and on the alert to go forth in heeding God's word in your mouth....Now speak loud and clear...and your angels will go to accomplish what God planned for you! Amen!

Wimpy Whine or A Battle Cry that is Set for Change

Thinking on Jesus and His walk on this earth we conclude He encountered many people. His walk took Him to a variety of people.  His life may not resemble ours. His family was of the Hebrew nation. His hair different than yours or mine. His love, well, it was of course Heaven SENT!
When He spoke He needed no megaphone to be heard. He walked with those He knew, preached on the hillside and prayed in the night for the city He longed to nurture with the Father's love.
A man of intercession, we find He had a clear vision of what to pray for those God the Father loved so much.

Luke 13:34-35......34 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! 35 See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!' "              NKJV

Yes, He had wanted to gather the children together. He desired what the Father desired.

Psalm 81:13-16
13 "Oh, that My people would listen to Me,
That Israel would walk in My ways!
14 I would soon subdue their enemies,
And turn My hand against their adversaries.
15 The haters of the LORD would pretend submission to Him,
But their fate would endure forever.
16 He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat;
And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you."   NKJV

Jesus came to bring love and light from the Father. God the Father desired His people to listen to Him. He desired Israel to walk in His WAYS! He so wanted to subdue all the enemies that was prevailing against them. And God would see them fed with the finest of wheat and with the honey from the rock God would satisfy indeed!

Yes, Jesus came and did that. Jesus endured for the joy that was set before Him. That joy came from the Father of His love. When He arose from the dead, He was seen by many. Was not held in a deep secret, but A REVEALED Jesus had risen from the dead.
He came through and in the Crowning MOMENT showed the earth and all its inhabitants that God was Alive! He came to reveal the Battle had been won. The cry had been heard, "it is finished!" And finished it was!
All chaos broke out after He was risen in Heaven. The disciples now Apostles were being changed from glory to glory. The talk was probably non-stop. But on Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came in power, He revealed the wind of change.
Prayer was the word Jesus gave. Go back to Jerusalem and tarry!

Do you want change?
Is it time to speak as Jesus spoke? Is it time for a Battle Cry or just that wimpy whine?
As the intercessor for your family, for your community and for your church or body of believer's, is it time to shout out in prayer?
My intercession times are not marked with sighs or too much silence. I am not protesting God's goodness, but I am protesting the enemies and their rights. They have none in my life or in yours.

I do not need a megaphone. God hears my cries, and He hears yours as well.  I may not have every hair in place on my head or even the clothes on that looks like a militant ready for battle, but I do have on the full armor of God. I am in tune with His heart and when I hear that battle sound of the drums.........playing........I am knowing my God is for me and He is on His way with what I require.
Prophetic, most likely.
Significant always. For intercessory prayer is reaching God's heart for those around us. It is the instrument of sound from our hearts that states loudly..........." boots are on the ground and we are taking territory for the kingdom of God".
Cursing, never.
Complaints, no. I'd rather not whine when I know His Blood covered and brought change for a human race.

God is brilliant. He needs no introduction. He made His life known when He placed the stars in the sky. Keeping our focus on Him, helps us capture His thoughts for the right plan, for the people to pray for, for the family member who is lost in drugs, for the one wanting to control you in the work place, or even in some form of rejection, Jesus knows. God always brings us to the that place which is knowing who we are in Him and how valued we are.
Let Him remind you of the Love He sent for you. Let Him soothe your anxious brow that everything is going to be alright.
Let Him gather you as a mother hen and her chicks, and let Him speak mysteries that will light the fire in your heart to pray............to give the sound of the beating drums from that which comes from Heaven through you to bring change. Touch Heaven today and see your earth changed for the good.
That is why He came!

What Is Behind the Closed Door?

Have you ever wondered why a door seems closed in our prayer time with God? In serious regard to hearing Him, do we have a closed door in our hearing Him speak?
Our prayer times is meant to "open doors for others" as we saw with Peter and Cornelius. Please read below:
Acts 10:9-48
9 The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. 10 Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance 11 and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. 12 In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. 13 And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat." 14 But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean." 15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call common." 16 This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.

17 Now while Peter wondered within himself what this vision which he had seen meant, behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate. 18 And they called and asked whether Simon, whose surname was Peter, was lodging there. 19 While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are seeking you. 20 Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them." 21 Then Peter went down to the men who had been sent to him from Cornelius, and said, "Yes, I am he whom you seek. For what reason have you come?" 22 And they said, "Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words from you." 23 Then he invited them in and lodged them. On the next day Peter went away with them, and some brethren from Joppa accompanied him.

24 And the following day they entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was waiting for them, and had called together his relatives and close friends. 25 As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. 26 But Peter lifted him up, saying, "Stand up; I myself am also a man." 27 And as he talked with him, he went in and found many who had come together. 28 Then he said to them, "You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 29 Therefore I came without objection as soon as I was sent for. I ask, then, for what reason have you sent for me?" 30 So Cornelius said, "Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, 31 and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your alms are remembered in the sight of God. 32 Send therefore to Joppa and call Simon here, whose surname is Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea. When he comes, he will speak to you.' 33 "So I sent to you immediately, and you have done well to come. Now therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things commanded you by God."

34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. 36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ--He is Lord of all-- 37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. 40 Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, 41 not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. 42 And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. 43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins."

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. 45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, 47 Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?" 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.
NKJV

Yes, a rather lengthy read, but the power that is revealed. Peter and Cornelius opened the door to God. They, one apostle and one Gentile each had a vision.

Peter prayed! It was Cornelius who prayed and those prayers were considered the memorial before God.  God gave instruction and with those details, he sent his men to Peter who was in the area of Joppa.
Prayer opens the doors first for what ministry the Lord has for us to do.
If it is cooking meals, go ahead and cook them but do all to the glory of God. In the details, the Holy Spirit directed Peter to the front door to greet Cornelius' men. And Cornelius was honored by his men. They gave the report"....a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nations and Jews."
Good report!
The two men both had a vision. It was both and not just one. They both had to see what was before them. They were men of prayer. And they were witnesses of truth.
Father God will always give details to us about "tomorrow". But if we refuse that time behind the closed door, then we come out, not as support to anyone, but ourselves.  In using excuse to not pray, they certainly desire to keep their "sin" intact. For God directed us to fellowship. And we saw it in Jesus. He had fellowship with the Father and truth prevailed. He had fellowship with Him, and the miracles were abundant. Jesus prayed and He gave voice to God's authority in Him.
Yes, Jesus birthed a new church through His sacrifice. And like Him, we too, can find what God has for us when we spend time behind the closed door!

A Woman is to be Valued

A woman is to be valued. She is not the "plaything", an object or the lesser of a man, for God took of Adam a rib and formed Eve.
Yes, woman came from the vision of God and took a rib from man.
Read below:
Genesis 2:19-25
19 Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field.

But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

23 The man said,

"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman,'
for she was taken out of man."

24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

25 The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.   NIV

Adam saw her, the bone of his bones, and flesh of his flesh and he called her woman. Adam was to leave the leadership of his father and create a home for his wife. He was to cleave to her. He was to bring security to the woman. As they were to walk together, him leading, they would work together and build the home.
There was no shame (verse 25). With woman arriving on the scene,  the two would glorify God, but satan came to devalue the woman. He came in with intent to stop the glorification to God that man and wife would bring to the Father who created them.
She was to stand beside him, not behind him!

Genesis 3:1
3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"  NIV

The adversary just asked a question, "did God really say.............'you must not eat from any tree in the garden?"

And what did God really say?

Genesis 2:15-17
15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."   NIV

And Eve, the woman spoke:
Genesis 3:2-3
2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'"   NIV

Proverbs 31:10-12 Amplified Bible
10 a capable, intelligent and virtuous woman---who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls.  11 The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely, so that he no lack of [honest] gain or need of [dishonest] spoil. 12 She comforts, encourages and does him only good as long as there is life within her.

Proverbs 31:17 Amplified Bible
17 She girds herself with strength [spiritual, mental, physical fitness for her God-given task] and makes her arms strong and firm.

Proverbs 31:25-31 Amplified Bible
25 Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future [the latter day or time to come, knowing that she and her family are in readiness for it!] 26 She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction]. 27 She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity), she will not eat. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, fortunate and to be envied); and her husband boasts of and praises her [saying], 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, nobly, and well [with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness], but you excel them all. 30 Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised! 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city]!

God has more for women. He desires to enrich their lives with the beauty of Who He is and to see them fulfill what He placed in their hearts when they were first formed in their mother's wombs.
When we have the golden threads of diligence, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love.......every woman will be neither barren not unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Read below:

2 Peter 1:5-8.....NKJV......5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The "virtuous" woman from Proverbs 31 put a foundation of knowing God under her. She walked and followed truth. She walked side by side with her husband as the intelligent, and she has the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness.
There was a report out of Hollywood today, that there are just as many women as men who study to be directors of films and movies. They (women) study all aspects of the field, and yet there are very, very few women considered to direct any movie. They have the credentials, yet they fall short in the eyes of the men in the same field. They are not considered "the qualified".

That is why I love God and His Word. I love His justice and how He makes our paths level and straight. We can plan our futures, but our best is that which God planned for us. A woman is not merely a homemaker and should not be considered to be the "all" in the field of homemaker.

God created the garden of Eden.........brought forth the animals and had Adam name them all! In that moment as well, He brought forth Adam a helpmate. No where do I read that she was to clean toilets everyday and cook that bacon up in a pan. It is a 50-50 thing. Each has what they bring to the table. But if the husband has brought what his family raised him to add nothing but some guy thing, and told him in regards to family and cooking, and work...within that home is just women's work is badly mistaken. One can see why so many families fall apart. Marriage is work and it takes both parties to want to maintain a family and look to the reward of seeing Grand-children and Great-grandchildren grow and become what God planned for them as well. It is a "team work effort" and every one fills a role!

Spend some months reading Proverbs 31. Look into that which God showed as an example of that woman who seeks and loves God. Spend time filling your heart what you really look like!
God did not plan for a woman to be the pin-up of the month. He planned her to walk along side and be just as productive as the man. In the woman, is a beautiful and delightful deposit of God Himself. In her heart is what He purposed for her. It takes a real man of God to uncover that beauty that God placed there in the "woman's heart". Taking from his rib, He took that which would or should be closest to his heart. It was to be a fellowship and unity held together as one.

But satan devised other plans. The thing is, satan directed it to be played out that God would receive no credit and no praise for the man and woman He created. But God!
Woman had fallen through the cracks. And in the coming of Jesus, we read how it took time to talk with them and tell them what was next.

They knew Jesus, the Friend. He restored women back to that of virtue and christian devotion. (Luke 7:37-50)  Women rejoiced when He blessed their children ( Mark 10:13-16) and when He had raised "the dead". (see Luke 7:12-15)
The women in the Bible at the time of Jesus were those who stepped out to see change come. They chose to be clothed in the beauty and simplicity of the character of Jesus Christ. They exchanged their low estate, and a life of paganism......to worship God,  to see their families cared for, their spiritual life nourished in the words of Jesus and be transformed to live lives that still speak today.
For the agonies, the pain and activity of today is set on degrading women and bringing them lower than dirt is not good and is not of God.
We stand together as women, created by God to speak out in faith, "enough is enough". We speak out that our daughters and their daughters will be looked to in high esteem. We believe for the purity of women to be seen, that women will be seen as those with an undaunted heroism to speak out against injustices to women. May we not shrink in fear, but be bold and show that we are the ever loyal to Christ Jesus. It is in HIM, we live and move and have our being. May we rise and take our place. Not with less clothes and spiked heels, but with a virtue that others will see. May we be those who will desire to be a Christian, to receive Jesus as Lord.
May women rise to honor the King. May they be clothed in His beauty, speak with His wisdom and love others that way He does! Shine Jesus in the hearts YOU know of those Who ARE YOURS!

Wait for the Beep

Hearing someone repeatedly saying, ..........."so and so is not available.----can't get to the phone" blah, blah, blah.............."leave your message at the beep".........and '"so and so" will get back to you' can some how always make one feel helpless in trying to reach another! Hearing that often enough, you can at some point be choosing not to leave a message. It might be easier to drive to their house and see if you catch them at home!
Understanding people have jobs, busy with children, and much going on in any community, church or family, and you find just reaching out with the phone presents a task, planning and prayer! Remembering the days of the answering machine, I thought of the awesome idea some one had giving us the ability to leave a message any time of the day. GREAT IDEA!
To me, it also allowed the convenience of screening your calls! Not that I got many calls, but it was "great" when you had floured hands, and a oven timer beeping "loudly at you" that the cinnamon rolls were ready to roll out of the oven.
Today, we have the unique cell phone. It can do just about everything, except wash your long hair. If you note the amount of accidents that people have while communicating or playing with their phones while they drive, or even walking you certainly pray they are not on the same highway you are on when you must take that highway to travel any distance.
But I think people just look for things to do while they drive. They buy up donuts and extra-extra hot coffee, just so they can spill the coffee and get burns bad enough for a trip to Emergency Room.

Still there are others who choose to do their make-up while driving. And just a quick note on that: My daughter and I were driving down a stretch of interstate highway some 25 years ago, and I have never forgotten this. The young lady driving, had her seat lifted enough for her knees to hold the steering wheel, and with both hands free she was applying her mascara on her lashes. All I could do was "gasp" as we passed her. Cannot remember the car, but was thinking it was a Honda Accord. She was driving slow, but a little erratic!
Yes, people will stay active with other things while trying to get to another place, even when they are late. They will even dress for their wedding in a moving vehicle.

The more technology changes, the more you must learn to keep up. But in the case of many, that cell phone is an addictive product. People just cannot seem to put them down.

Yes, there are all kinds of power services in the world today. There is the internet, the cell phone, and what about the T.V. services..........accessing any movie, show or news 24/7..........anyone for Zombie Vision?
But our power source to connect is prayer to God.
Prayer is the first place we must start when facing any day. Communication is wonderful, but it is for getting you from point A to point B.
And what I love about God our Father, He will answer. He will not leave you on hold. Nor will He ask you to leave a "message at the beep".
If your phone is more real to you than God, then you have a problem. We have to know God to be God in our lives. That we are His. And as we experience His love and His faithfulness to us, we experience a faith that no one can take from us. He has the Words that brings life.

John 6:61-68
62 What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. 65 And He said, "Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father." 66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?" 68 But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.  NKJV

That phone may get you help. You might need to call 911 for assistance in a life-situation, yet it is God Who must hear you. And if we think Him not important now, what do we do in a real emergency? What if God has been calling us? What if He has wanted a relationship and conversation to speak about what is coming our way?

We must be open in our hearts and our minds to allow His powerful service into our lives. It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing. Peter recognized that Jesus had the Words of eternal life. And we should too? For all the careless thought put into dressing in a moving car, to buying a hot drink to enjoy in a moving car, or even trying to reach a family member while climbing Mt. Hood could prove to be perilous and deadly.

There will be a time when an ambulance might be called. There will be a time when no other sound will come from you. In the amount of days you have left, will they be spent on reaching the Father who has all the answers to tomorrows ups and downs?
Hearing that siren of the emergency vehicle is helpful and knowing it is passing on by is a really good thing especially when you are on your way home from a busy day. But what about the day it comes for you?

Of late, especially being Mother's Day weekend, I remember opportunities to call my mom on that day or even a few days ahead when I knew they would be going out for that day. I remember finding that card, and sending a  gift to bless her. Today, she is with Jesus. All I have is some tears to remember the times she told me to get ready for church. Today I have the memories of when she encouraged me to try harder at my homework. Today I have the memories of her telling me to drive defensively and to remember that THE car was a weapon just like "the gun"was. Well today there is another weapon, and it looks like a regular cell phone, and used at the right time is good, but at the wrong time it is a weapon that will kill.
Leave the "beep" time for another time.
Reach for God the Father in words of thankfulness. Reach out with a heart that puts Him first and ask for His help.
He will answer. And sometimes, the answer will not look what we thought, but we will move through life safer.
In His power, we are connected to the Source of Everlasting Life!

John 14:15-18
15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. NKJV

John 16:8
8 "And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; NASU

2 Corinthians 3:17
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. NASU

Father, we thank You for the Holy Spirit in our lives. We are thankful He dwells with us and in us. We were not left orphans. He reminds us that the world is convicted concerning sin, righteousness and judgment. We desire in Jesus' name not to be the foolish, doing foolish things. All we have to do is speak in Jesus' name and YOU will hear us. Remind us of any foolish ways we may try in our day to day walk with You.

We know You desire us to be safe and to have a relationship with You each day. Today Holy Spirit guide us in Your power, peace and love. May we always know Your leading and be directed into YOUR real purpose not that which just strokes the fur or brings us into a zombie vision state. We desire to be the alive, the alert and the wise knowing the way in which to walk. We desire to be safe in driving the highways, not making cell phone calls but keeping a connection with You our Power Source. Today we plug in, stand in alertness to hear Your voice and remind us that which was spoken beforehand. We strive to become the diligent to keep focus on You 1st and all else 2nd. Oh is it in Jesus name we pray. And we agree for Your glory to fill this land. Amen.
