What Has Love Got to Do with It?

Everything!!!

In thinking of the length, width, depth and height……where does that love begin?  Ephesians 3:14-21..............14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-- 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.  NKJV

How much of His power really works in us, so we can ask Him for the impossible?

Was reminded today by the Lord, that I can pray about Him able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think, but how much power flows through us, to receive it?  In thinking of how many are breaking laws today, their love must be almost extinct.  I can pray for those who are breaking those laws, but cannot pray for those who are working toward death of others! If we go to that new place is it about really making your life better or just to steal from another person, just like you!

A good thought  should be that God-minded for His love and peace. We will walk today toward this day in whom we have believed. He can do for the righteous what He has said He will do. No doubt here on that scripture, I have seen Him do the miraculous. Seriously speaking though, do we know how much, if any power is in us?  Is your switch on or just low in the words of truth God has spoken?

We should know the Holy Spirit resides in us when we have received Jesus as Lord. But do we pay Him any attention throughout our day?

That power to complete something is an exertion. That power is something that enables us to accomplish that which He desires us to do for Him and His kingdom. It takes a cooperation on our part. How does that work? It works when we continue to take on His likeness and continue to enter His kingdom. Our searching His word strengthens us, and fortifies us to be established before any world storms are driven in our direction. God wants to counsel us and lead us by His Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:26-27..................26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. NIV

Upon entering a dark room at night, the instinct is to go over and turn the power on, right? Finding the light switch, especially if there is a wall switch that will activate the power on, is paramount when one is stumbling in the dark. But when the power comes on, surges through that light bulb and light fills the room, one relaxes knowing they can truly see without stumbling through the room.

I heard this story once about this wealthy Scottish lady who had a nice home. She was widowed for many years, but had extreme wealth. She had wanted lights in her home. She had lived at the turn of twentieth century and had the gas put in, and after a month, the gas people returned to see why she was not using her gas for lighting her home. They wanted to know if she was dissatisfied with the gas installed into her home.  The gas that powered heat and light into her home was available, but she did not activate it. So the gentleman from the gas company showed her again where the "switch" was to turn or activate the gas in her home. She had continued to use candles to light her home and had never walked over to flip "the switch" on!

To me, that was like using the microwave oven or any new thing on the market back in the late 70's. I had one but rarely used it. Had a dishwasher too, but rarely had use of it as the work appeared doubled in loading and unloading it when having two people to wash and dry, the work is done and move on to something else. Of course, you may not have someone who is willing to help in the kitchen right now, but the day will come when each of us has kitchen duty. Ask anyone who has lost a loved one, and had to learn how to cook or even heat something on the stove after the loved one is gone.

Some of the best conversations my sister and I had when growing up, was those at the sink, washing up dishes after a great meal our mother had prepared for us to enjoy. There were times of soap suds floating in the air, but joy and laughter could be heard throughout the house and probably outside as well. It was a moment in time that we came together to do something, not only for our mother, but for ourselves as well. We enjoyed doing something together. Although it could sound like a "fight" who was going to wash and who was going to dry, still today it brings a smile to my face!

POWER!

Being daily rooted and grounded in love:1 John 3:21-24

21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. 24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. NKJV

Know that love of Christ which passes knowledge = fullness of God:Psalm 61:6-8

6 Increase the days of the king's life, his years for many generations.

7 May he be enthroned in God's presence forever; appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.

8 Then will I ever sing praise to your name

and fulfill my vows day after day.  NIV

Acts 2:28...28 You have made known to me the paths of life;

you will fill me with joy in your presence.'  NIV

Knowing Christ in love, is dwelling in His holiness, His wisdom, knowledge as well.

We carry His presence wherever we go!

People are trying to plug into power, but they use some kind of wealth to propel them forward. And if they use it for an amount of time, they find they have bought too much, had way too many parties and never thought of what came next! They may intensify with an amount of wealth, they may use their status to push the envelope for power yet be terribly vulnerable when it comes to devil and his wiles.

For you and I, we must intensify in the presence and power of Jesus Christ. We are told that Paul prayed those believer’s would know

Christ living in them, that their hearts would be of faith in Him. That each would grasp God’s love at the spiritual level and beyond intellectual or theological knowledge and they would be filled with God’s fullness. Meaning this, that Holy Spirit would reveal the things of Christ (John 16) more fuller achieving God’s work in the earth. Each individual would and could be the un-hindered, the un-quenched and the un-grieved.

This will include your walk with others including spouse and children. (socially) It will include your finances. It will include the physical body and the spiritual life with God.  It is used mentally. We are to be God inside-minded!

Jesus  spoke we are to never to worry about what’s going to happen tomorrow, because He has not given us the grace to bear up under tomorrow’s concerns until we get there. You cannot be in two places at one time, but He can. So we will not borrow worries from the future. We Will not borrow trouble from anyone.  People borrow trouble from the news network daily and why?   We are to invest in faith. To choose to look for God’s hand working on our behalf today—and trust Him, in simple faith, for our tomorrow and future.  Without faith we cannot move through life in the spiritual. Spiritual eyes see and spiritual hearts will speak…that is by prayer in the kingdom of God.

Fervent Heat and Much Noise

God’s Promise is NOT Slack
: 2 Peter 3:9-13 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to the promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

1.      We should be found living in godliness and faith

2.      His promise are great and precious, trustworthy, proven and inspired by the Holy Spirit

3.      We should be looking forward to the day of His kingship and rule on earth as it is in Heaven

From verse 10 we are told that the heavens will pass away with a great noise. All will be burned up on earth. Nothing will remain of it!

I would hope people would realize many decisions of the 60’s of the last century came through others than Baby Boomers. Many boomers were just ten or twelve when many in suits were raging against WAR!

Today:

1.      We worship not God but the Almighty Green Back Dollar.

2.      Greed has become the national motivator in America.

3.      Sex is the “obsession”. Wearing garments is seen as taboo!

4.      Gambling is the National Pass-time. I know folks who have lost their home due to gambling.

5.      Illegal drugs is consumed daily here in this nation, many dying much too soon.

6.      God is not allowed in schools and many churches.

7.      Kids are taught not reading, writing or math, but to be transgender and seek fantasy with green witches and magic wands.

8.      Babies are not welcome in the womb.

9.      Homosexuality is highlighted in this nation! Legalized same-sex marriage reigns.

10.  We are the moral polluter of planet earth. Does that make your skin crawl?

Plain and simple truth is America is a nation rejecting Christian heritage replacing it with the crude, rude, and paganized culture. We are a rebellious people. We thumb our nose at the great Creator God who has showered us with unparalleled blessings for over 300 years. God is expelled and the result is a society of wanton violence against others.  Believe me Jesus told us about Hell and it is a place to avoid.

As the Church grows increasingly weak from its internal rot, society continues to plunge into darkness. We are presented with a REAL and Present DANGER: NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST!

Peter Pry the executive director of the federal EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security, some years back had told Congress at that very time period that a major EMP could cause widespread "starvation, disease, and societal collapse" that could lead to the deaths of tens of millions of people. The Obama administration on hearing this released a multi-agency battle plan to study and defend against what many scientists consider the most likely source of EMPs: solar storms, which Bill Murtagh of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy calls "a real and present danger." ( again this was awhile ago.)

We are closer now than ever to that “nuclear blast”! Acts 3:19 Repent therefore & be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

A Refreshing: a recovery of breath; to be revived ( NT 404: an—aps’—ook—sis)

Thayer’s Lexicon states: to recover from the effects of heat …to be refreshed in one’s spirit, refreshed by fellowship, by consolation, kindnesses: 2 Timothy 1:15-16 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 16 However for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

1.         Might show: N.T.  1731 & 1722 ( en---dike’---noo---mee) to indicate by word or deed

2.         Pattern: NT 5296  (hoop-ot—oop’---o—sis) imitate

3.         Believe: N.T 4100 ( pist---yoo—o) meaning to credit our faith in Christ Jesus and not of the world

365 days a year, we should indicate by word or deed imitate with a credit of our faith in Christ Jesus…. The refreshing that came was by mercy of God! This mercy was not a passive emotion but an active desire to remove the cause of distress in others. We have opportunity through Jesus to come into the presence of God Himself!   Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is the fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

1.         We must be living above our senses…..no drama queen, no pouty face

2.         A joy that appears as being gleeful; A rejoicing with laughter and ease with much peace

3.         Distress is removed; aiding one with sympathy in our heart

4.         Revived in the Lord: we are pulled out of fear, apprehension & worry

5.        It is about being refreshed receiving forgiveness of our sins.

Godly People delight in doing Good:  Proverbs 21:15 It is a joy for the just to do justice, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.  It is joy for the righteous man to do justice ; participating with God in His kingdom to regard His rights by His righteous nature for truth, love & peace.  The Bible tells us in length that “the way of the transgressor is hard” found in Proverbs 13:15…in that we see those who get drunk have hangovers to display their hard life, lack of money because it is spent on that which does not profit anything but only produces a really bad hangover.  Choosing to wreck their health with drink is a bad choice!

Psalm 89:13-18 NKJV 13 You have a mighty arm;  Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand.

14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne;  Mercy and truth go before Your face.

15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!  They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance.

16 In Your name they rejoice all day long,  And in Your righteousness they are exalted.

17 For You are the glory of their strength,  And in Your favor our horn (strength) is exalted.

18 For our shield belongs to the LORD,  And our king to the Holy One of Israel.

1.         Here we find truths: From v. 15 joyful sound, was the trumpet sound of jubilee, it was the            sound of setting captives free and restoration.

2.         Our refreshing is found in worship to Him who saved us! His holiness is imparted to us through Jesus Christ: it is in His mercy & truth where we walk in His light, His face is ever toward us and as we rejoice in His name, in His righteousness we are exalted

3.         It is a foundation set in God’s righteousness and His justice : it is led by the beauty of God in His kindness toward us….It is truth that is a stability that is established……it cannot be moved: Proverbs 12:3 A man is not established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous cannot be moved. Proverbs 10:25 When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.

Refreshing place in Jesus: anchored in Him… in this, there is No Shaky Town: this is an inside Job …. Character Drives Our Purpose; Habits: strong or shaky; that is strong in the word of God’s truth or shaky in discipline that is of the world…stress will always point to true heart & character of a person!

1.         Being disciplined : in the Word, quick to follow instructions , obedient to parents, respecting them because the Word tells us to honor them. Seeking good habits for a healthy body /sound mind.

2.         From shaky city of the world…..do we just choose a way as we go / make our own way through haphazardly;  Lack of order is living aimlessly, without peace /without planning, one who is going somewhere to happen/ that can appear as destructive;    will we obey the rules of the road, eat the right kinds of food or just give it up for the anything goes lifestyle……???

3.         Multiplied behaviors: did you have two parents: did you grow up in America……or were you brought up in one nation to live in another????   It is the same as the born again person: we must submit to the rule of God in His kingdom. You cannot go from one nation bringing your own flag and symbols of that nation into the new nation. You must submit to the new nations laws and the rules of that land as in the United States, one nation under God, one nation with one language and one flag.

4.         True character will be exposed when pressure is on you the person!

Each of us are responsible for spiritual warfare and anticipated victories. Things are literally heating up to a great explosion.  Flesh will melt. Even told that tongues will dissolve within the mouth, and that is horrific indeed. Yet even in this hour, the presence of evil struggles for survival.  We do battle in faith and with faithfulness to the Lord; it is His ultimate kingdom we live in; Holy Spirit is preparing us even now for these kingdom victories today: Daniel 7:21-22 NKJV “I was watching; & the same horn was making war against the saints, & prevailing against them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came, & a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the most High, &the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom. God overrules all other thrones

The Divine or the Monster: one will choose life and another death. One will choose the straight path  and the other folly. One will choose peace and love of God and the other fire and brimstone.  In this hour, be faithful to Jesus when confronted with persecution and death. And when the opportunity arises to encourage a young believer, may they note the courage in your heart that gives praise to Him who lives forever! For we choose to obey God and not people! We choose to be faithful to receive the crown of life, to be dressed not only for salvation but in righteousness too! Today we receive this word of God that teaches Jesus is coming for us soon! Amen.

Conduct in Spiritual Terms

In Matthew 6 we find in verse 33 to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness for when we do this we are told all these things shall be added to you. In a covenant of faithfulness God delivers on His promise.

We must turn to the atmosphere of His word to hear and understand His will. It is the little insignificant things we are to see along the way not in things as great wind, earthquake, or fire. But the still voice of the Lord we are to hear and understand. In the quiet of Him in the midst of chaos, we abide to hear Him speak.

AND Before determining whether we want to imitate or reject how another person acts, we must evaluate—judge—his conduct.

The subject of judging often seems very difficult to grasp. Some use the term "judge" in a generalized way, making assertions such as, "We shouldn't judge one another." Is this true?  There are those who want to judge and justice to rule. But God makes the Justice!  You  can look into any church service and find manipulators.  They want to be the "leader", number 1 and lead you! They can give you some words to flatter you and then use you. Should not be that way but it is truth! That is why prayer is so important in this day and time!

Matthew 7:1  NKJV   "Judge not, that you be not judged.

What is our conduct if others are watching us?

So if we have paid attention to chapter 6, we will seek and be in God’s kingdom, first knowing righteousness, His word to lead us and deliver us into His promise of His added things to us.

Added to you…seeking God’s plan for you the individual

1.   That would entail; living life for the Lord.

2.   Trusting God for your future with an unshakable confidence that he will provide.

3.   Tomorrow can worry about its own things.

4.   Our purpose for being created and converted is to carry His divine image with His eternal values within our heart.

Matthew 7: 2 For with what judgment (condemnation) you judge; you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

1.   We are not to judge another’s motives.

2.   We should not judge by appearance: John 7:24.

3.   Not to judge those who have scruples about matters that are neither right or wrong Romans 14:1-5 Message Bible  Welcome with open arms fellow believers who do not see things the way you do. And do not jump all over them every time they do or say something you do not agree with-----( each person’s walk will be different, but all should know Him & believe Him to be God)

Even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department. Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently.

1.   For instance, a person that has been around for a while might well be convinced that by that he can eat anything on the table, while another, with a different background, might assume all Christians should be vegetarians and eat accordingly.

2.   But since both are guests at Christ’s table, would not it be terribly rude if they fell to criticizing what the other ate or did not eat? God, after all, invited them both to the table. Psalm 23 :5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil.

3.   Our spiritual table is set: within those enemies that is with us from early childhood, from that which causes pain even today as from past generations of rejection or hate, yet our table  is set. It is purchased by the precious blood of Jesus. This table is hospitality and we are the secured guests. Secured in His peace, love and joy we are not to hate another or envy them. We have come to the Table the Lord has set as our Shepherd!

If God is truly our Father and Jesus our Lord then that oil of favor is upon us. As the believer we are given the Holy Spirit and we are guaranteed the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit, our Comforter and our guide.  Message Bible continues: do you have any business crossing people off the guest list or interfering with God’s welcome? If there are corrections to be made or manners to be learned, God can handle that without your help. Or, say, one person thinks that some days should be set aside as holy and another thinks that each day is pretty much like any other. There are good reasons either way. So each person is free to follow the convictions of conscience. What is important in all this that if you keep a holy day, keep it for God’s sake; if you eat meat, eat it to the glory of God and thank God for prime rib; if you are a vegetarian, eat vegetables to the glory of God and thank God for broccoli. None of us are permitted to insist on our own way in these matters.

It is God that we are answerable to----all the way from life to death & everything in between---not each other. That is why Jesus lived & died & then lived again; so that he could be our Master across the entire range of life & death, & free us from the petty tyrannies of each other.

Eventually, we are all going to end up kneeling side by side in the place of judgment, facing God. Your critical & condescending ways are not going to improve your position there one bit. Read it for yourself in scripture.

A main point though is we should maintain pure language in our speaking.  Acts 2:21 (a quotation of Joel 2:38) foretells that "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved." In Zephaniah 3:9 one will see that there is another prerequisite to calling on the name of the Lord: There must be a pure language.   In Zephaniah 3:9 the New Kings James Version uses the word "restore," which can be misleading because it implies that all the peoples—all the nations—had a pure language at some point in the past. The Hebrew, though, shows that is not the case. More correctly, the King James Version reads, "I will turn to the people a pure language," while the English Standard Version renders it, "I will change the speech of the people." This verse is speaking about a coming change rather than a return to something that previously existed.  The word translated as "language" also requires a little analysis. The basic meaning of the Hebrew word is "the termination of something," and it is variously translated as "brim," "brink," "edge," and "shore," which all describe terminations. This word is also translated as "lip," another type of edge or termination point. Building on the idea results in a natural progression to words, speech, and thus to language.

Most certainly man has decided to change our language. Not to the pure word but the corrupted word like transgender or to what is real. You calling yourself a cat and wearing a cat uniform does not make it so. But you as man corrupted it! It is in Hebrew thought, the lips are not the only mere edge of the mouth but is also the termination point of the heart. From a small baby to adult, one can use the lips to making sounds.  In this, the real engine of speech is the heart.

Man should consider Proverbs 10:32...."The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked what is perverse."  Only ones heart would have the intelligence of what is either acceptable or the perverse! Proverbs 16:23 states "The heart of the wise teaches his mouth and adds learning to his lips. We know that what is given to us in Proverbs 24:2 is truth...speaking that the hearts of the wicked devise violence, and their lips stir up trouble. The lips are the instrument, but the instigator is the heart!  Jesus told us that "OUT of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

(Matthew 12:34)  In this, we are to see this prophecy of a pure language.  As a believer, your words should continue to speak truth in what is pure and not corrupted language.  Some examples of the play on words: gay, queer, many types of letters as LGBTQ, and as marrying from the Bible , the man and the woman is not listed. It is hate written as graffiti on walls and sidewalks.  When your culturing is degrading, so will your pure language.

We must keep to the word of God.  You will find you and your family profaning reality if not daily in the word of God . You should not accept the corrupted but keep to what God has spoken. This language should be the dominant. The pure language will always reflect the better reality because it will include God! Without Him, we can do nothing!    Is this nation coming to the brink of disaster due to the arrogant disregard for His Word and His principles? May we not be silent in speaking truth of God's word and be active to pray for the one nation under God. For the flag that flies over this nation was born out of conflict and much war. But she stood in God that which was not divided that with liberty and justice all would live in peace because God was in their midst!
