Proven

Psalm 18:30 NKJV As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. 31 For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? 32 It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. 33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and sets me on my high places. 34 He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

From this David reveals on the day of his deliverance from the hand of King Saul and other enemies! In the very first verse of Psalm 18, he sings I will love You, O LORD my strength.
God's love will prove out every time we call on Him. Have we called on Him today? Have we called out His name in the valley of Achor, that valley of trouble?
Psalm 119:140 Your word is very pure; therefore You servant loves it.

The servant loves God's word for it has been proven, yes, has been tested time and time again and He has proven faithful in His love toward us. Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. David called on God, and time after time, God answered and in many ways!

In that walk of faith, we give opportunity to trust that God will fulfill His Word. It is that which will put trust in His character and believe what He has given through that very word. David wrote on the character of God in Psalm 23.

Psalm 23:4………..4 Yea, though I walk through the valley
 of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.  NKJV

Jesus spoke on the mercy of God: Luke 6::35-36……...35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your
reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High.
For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

And of this is written of His truth: Psalm 119:160…….160 The entirety of
Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

NKJV

Trust is a word that in God, about God and through God, we are to be deliberate in that Trust in His thoughts and ways: Mark 16:17-18   NKJV  17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

This account is only given in the book of Mark!  We know that there are verses that point to the commission of the apostles: as in Matthew 28: 16-20 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20”teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen." (  also found Luke 24:36-49)

But Mark gives this: “signs will follow those who believe.” Now some say this means that Christians can handle snakes, but seriously the meaning has to do with trust that Christians are protected if they are bitten. Remember a snake had bit Paul while he was on the island of Malta. No he was not on a “cruise ship” but on a ship that fell apart in rough seas when those in authority did not pay attention to his warnings given by the Holy Spirit to stay put. They proceeded into seas that would wreak havoc when stirred up by a really bad storm with attitude. With this in mind, many things played a role in Paul getting to the island of Malta, as the captain who chose go when even the time of year was contrary to a yes answer. Still it is in those situations that money speaks louder than words!

Acts 28:1-6 Now when they had escaped, they then found out that the island was called Malta. 2 And the natives showed us unusual kindness; for they kindled a fire and made us all welcome, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold. 3 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. 4 So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a  murderer whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live.  5 But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm. 6 However, they were expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But after they had looked for a long time and saw no harm come to him,  they changed their minds and said that he was a god.

Luke the physician wrote in Luke 10:17-20 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19”Behold, I give you that authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

He also recorded this in Acts 5:12-13... And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people." And they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.

Some speculate that this was just for the apostles, but again Mark 16 and verse 17 speaks, "these signs will follow those who believe." Does not say those who are just apostles, those who where just alive at that time, but those even now who believe!

Again looking at Luke 10:17-20 was Jesus pointing to "protection". We are to trust Him even as simply spoken. We are not to rejoice that we have the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and the power of the enemy (Satan) but we rejoice that our names are in heaven. We are a part of God's family. What He has promised, He provides. Anything we do on earth is either done by our own hand or God's power flowing through us. Either our belief will be in Him or in ourselves. We are either born again to live in His kingdom which has come or we are living as the old man in sin and without God!

In understanding that faith is a spiritual walk we walk by faith and not by sight. Our trust is in God's thoughts and God's ways which are higher than our own. (Isaiah 55:8-13)
So we must have a firm conviction in acknowledging God’s truth. We admit His words where we display our faith in them and where faith is alive.. John 3:3  NKJV  Jesus answered & said to him, “ Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”  John 3:5 NKJV Jesus answered, “most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water & the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

It is also a firm surrender to Him where conduct appears under His leadership: Romans 10:8-10  Amp Bible.. 8 But what does it say? The Word (God’s Message in Christ) is near you, on your lips & in your heart; that is, the Word ( the message, the basis & object of faith which we preach. 9 Because if you acknowledge & confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord & in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, & rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in,& relies on Christ) & so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God) & with the mouth he confesses (declares openly & speaks out freely his faith) & confirms[his] salvation.

From Paul assisting those people of Malta, still a snake decided to bite. But Paul by his faith was lighting the way into that which would bring glory to God. For He proved to Paul that He was always with him. Are we lighting the way that proves we know God is the true and the faithful ONE?

God’s kingdom authority conflicts with the worlds system of authority :Luke 22:24-27  Amp Bible 24 Now an eager contention arose among them [as to] which of them was considered & reputed to be the greatest. 25 But Jesus said to them, the kings of the Gentiles are deified by them & exercise lordship [ruling as emperor-gods] over them; & those in authority over them are called benefactors & well-doers. 26 But this is not to be so with you, on the contrary, let him who is the greatest among you become like the youngest, & him who is the chief & leader like one who serves. 27 For who is the greater, the one who reclines at the table ( the master), or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at the table? But I am in your midst as ONE Who serves. See also Mark 10:35-37; Matthew 20:20-28

These men were eager to be a “somebody”. They wanted significance. Yet,  even within this group & that which Jesus spoke, whether jobs, sports or even in schools and academies & even in possessions, still our identity is not in the accomplishments or things, but in Jesus, He whom we serve is in our midst! The greatest is the one who resides with Christ, settled in Him & relying on His sacrifice. We are not to get our identity in the position, the things we do or things we have, we are to serve Him from the identity He has given us.
We will either be wrapped up in His grace or wrapped up in something of the world. May our love resound not because that which we do but that which is wrapped up in the mercy of God that appeared as grace to people who required life, who required a Savior and may we show our love to Him this day and every day. Our names are written in heaven and we are thankful to participate in His kingdom that has come.
There is a new virus out now called the coronavirus! But it has nothing on Jesus, for all things are under His feet. He is authority and He granted us authority to walk as He walked. Build your faith, stand firm and know that our faith is spiritual, it represents a trust in Almighty God who made heaven and earth. Stand in belief that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. If God be for us, then who can be against us? Amen!

The Ability to Say NO

There are times we must say "NO"!
Proverbs 13: 16 Every prudent man acts with knowledge, but a fool lays open his folly.
Proverbs 13:16 Message Bible: A commonsense person lives good sense; fools litter the country with silliness.

He who follows after the Lord considers the path set before him. We are to act in each step of life in the knowledge of God. We are not to act on what the local news is giving if it operates in false news. Our God is spirit and truth and He will lead us on level paths in His peace and truth!

Proverbs 2:11 Discretion will preserve you; understanding will keep you, 12 to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things, 13 from those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness; 14 who rejoice in doing evil, and delight in the perversity of the wicked;

Understanding that   discretion will facilitate a way of escape from those who are evil, who speaks perverse things, it will also preserve us from those who choose to walk away from upright behavior into the ways of darkness! Those who compromise will be either male or female.

Of the female: Proverbs 11:22 As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a lovely woman who lacks discretion. (taste) Yes, that discretion is like taste. It is what taste we have for fine furniture, fine dining or what is considered that which wealth can buy for the most elegant tastes in luxury living with penthouses, jets, and big yachts! Still God is to lead us in that which is discrete. He directs us by leading us to hear Him. That will appear as the Shepherd leads us by still waters, to lie down in green grass where our needs are met without the extra hassle of adding extra expense to taking care of all the luxury when the greatest gift is God's Son to us. Things are good but they should not have us, but we should have them and limit the amount of them in our lives when it proves to appear as an important priority in our lives that includes the extreme in luxury and prestige. For in this man can fall into the pride thing indeed!

Of the male: Proverbs 19:11 the discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression. Proverbs 16:32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. Discretion of a man is to make him slow to anger and it mentions that his glory is to overlook a transgression!

In the New Birth (John 3:3) those of the New testament …and us who have received Jesus as Lord, have repented sin, and have the Holy Spirit. And by the Holy Spirit of Grace we walk in the Spirit and we shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. As we read of in Galatians 5:16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
It is the Holy Spirit Who will subdue the lust of the flesh when we continually submit ourselves to His power and to His control!

Reading again Proverbs 16:32, it does not say “He who never gets angry is better than the mighty”. It says that “He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty!
Jesus got Angry: Mark 11:15-16 NKJV So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 16 And he would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. Luke 19:45 Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it.   In this Jesus was cleansing the temple: the priests had benefited financially by vendors and dishonest practices to put money in their pockets. It was using business in the temple area! Jesus took an authority to say NO to that which interrupted the House of Prayer. Business is to be done outside. The relationship with God is our prayer life and anything that intrudes on that is out of order and out of bounds!

Commanded to Be Angry without Sinning: Ephesians 4:26 “ Be angry, and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath.” As  Christians, we are to avoid intense wrath.  That raging wrath is a desire for revenge. It is of an intense passion that can “kill”.

Wisdom Keeps Anger under Control: Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. Solomon made an observance of anger: Ecclesiastes 7:9 do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools.  James 1:19-20 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

We are to listen before we speak. We keep anger under the control of the Holy Spirit. In that respect we appear as the wise! Let's understand that any help from God is a plus for you and me. When we stay connected, we can ask Him to show us things we need to know and ask about those things that conflict with His word. We know that human beings can be unreliable. One writer wrote they blow hot and cold! And that is true if you have been alive as long as I have been. They are those who have their self-interests and sometimes they can align with what God is doing but other times it is the heart issue if they are deciding to go for self-satisfaction.
Psalm 146:3   NKJV   3 Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.
Those who might have titles or listed as the leader may not always have the best interests in mind for those involved in goal setting, financial aspects of spending too much and lack of counsel. They will most likely have their personal agenda and possible political goals to chase after. They will desire to spend too much and put a cap on that counsel!

But God, however, is the greatest Leader in this world and all the other world's He created! The "I AM" in our midst is always about what is best for us. It is the level path where the light grows brighter to the full light of day. Moreover, He is always faithful to what He has promised (I Corinthians 1:9), so if we go to Him and ask Him for help that He has pledged to us, He will give it.

In the New Birth, we regained sanity! And we certainly know from scripture that it is the fool who rejects God and not the wise man or wise men. Psalm 14:1 The fool has said in his heart, "there is no God." They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.
And in keeping with sanity, we replace or put in what is of God! We put in spirit and truth. We also know of "right mind" listed in Mark 5:15 Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

Can you imagine that when people are in their right minds, those who have Jesus as Lord can scare those who do not have Jesus?
This man who had been taken over by demons was now in his right mind, dressed and seated and he scares folks! So being or having self-control is that where our thoughts and actions align with the Lord's thoughts and ways. For that which was not controllable is now under control.

When evil is revealed it is seen in those who cannot control their desires. We have heard of this "madness" that is seen today in the streets of every large city in this country. It is seen in those where crime of the criminal is listed as their profile. Yet we have a living way of God that is revealed in the life of Christ Jesus, where the captives are set free. Within that it is almighty God Who provides the right mind to produce the fruit of Spirit.

I do not want to be the fool who litters the country with silliness. I desire to make a difference that speaks God is in my life, I have on the full armor of God and I set my mind and heart on things that are above and not scattered around my feet. I will know that which God reveals as the path in which to walk and I will have the ability to speak "NO" to the enemy and rise like an edifice in my faith walk, knowing God is with me because He has called me to this day and to this walk by faith in Him. Amen.

Do Not Accept or Approve that Which God Forbids

Voice of Prayer
Proverbs 10:14 Amplified Bible Wise men store up knowledge [in mind and heart], but the mouth of the foolish is a present destruction.
Proverbs 18:1-2 Amplified Bible He who willfully separates and estranges himself[ from God and man] seeks his own desire and pretext to break out against all wise and sound judgment. 2 A [self-confident] fool has no delight in understanding but only in revealing his personal opinions and himself.

What we display before others gives an account of what is in our heart!  Yes it involves those personal opinion and himself! Whether we give out of love to give the life and love of God to others or we give out of self-confidence in ourselves and the value we place on ourselves above others and God. It will certainly show up in the family home while growing up from a baby to a young adult. If you watched any television news this week, you have most likely seen it. It is something that will be revealed in a marriage when trouble knocks on the door! It will appear when down-sizing of a corporation that you worked at for many years. Now from scripture we are told in Numbers 1:3 that those "from twenty years old and above---all who are able to go to war in Israel. Numbers 14:29-32 marks those twenty years as accountable to being rebels, those who are counted as sinners! V. 29 The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness, all of you who were numbered, according to your entire number, from twenty years old and above.
What is revealed to us that accountability is at the age of 20 years! Certainly that spirit within those who is talked about in this passage are those who had no heart toward God or obeying Him. And it is God who calls on us to be devoted and to worship Him that we might move in Him by faith that He is faithful.

Harmony had appeared on earth in the Garden of Eden, but for a short time. God and Man communicated. The commands of God were given and Man complied. Yet as the population grew, what was harmonious turned into that which corrupted Eden. What the adversary did was to tarnish the Image of God in that place and still today, we find that very thing appearing, not only in business meetings, but also in public squares and council meetings.

We are told in Proverbs 9:9-12 Amplified Bible 9 Give instruction to a wise man and he will be yet wise; teach a righteous man (one upright and right standing with ) and he will increase in learning. 10 The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning (the chief and choicest part) of Wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight and understanding. 11 For by me [ Wisdom from God] your days shall be multiplied, and the years of your life shall be increased. 12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you scorn, you alone will bear it and pay the penalty.
If you take on a new job, a new position or other, you still have to receive the instructions of that which is new to you. We must pay attention to what they, the new boss or executive desires. Certainly you should be educated to that job that is to be performed, still we must have a heart to receive instruction to how the position you now have fits and flows with other moving parts and positions in the new work environment.
If one is expecting to be paid for their work, then they should desire to not appear slack. Although the appearance today appears to be about doing as less work possible but still gain that check at the time end of the time period. I remember the day when “journalists’ actually went out to find out what was going on in the world. Today there are many who just make things up on hearsay! Now that is just a lazy person who will not make the effort to live as God intended us to live!

But in truth, we must have and know truth that brings many days of life to us. In thinking on the miraculous gift of the Cross we must know what the Father’s heart was in sending Jesus to die for us. And the very core of that Christ died was and is today for us is that we would die to ourselves and the very life and light of Christ would live on through us, yes through you and me!
Just like appearing on your first day of the new job or position, you would not appear to tell the boss or CEO what your desires are for that work nor while you are there. The very same is that we do not live to tell Father God what He must do for "us" this day, but be so glad to hear what He desires for me to do for His glory of that in His Son Jesus Christ. We must celebrate He was mindful of us to send us His very best indeed!

So many today are demanding their own rights and their entitlements. There are no entitlements. Social Security is not entitlement, it is what was paid in from those working and paying their taxes for decades. The real truth for everyone: Get a job! And then be the "one" who keeps a regular working schedule and in about 35-40 years you can retire if you need to, you can certainly draw on that which you saved along the way of life in working.

Certainly things change for companies, whether creating power, manufacturing certain products or even the forces that deliver those products to your home, but we as a people are to work together like the harmony that had begun in the Garden of Eden. And if an adversary appears, we must be those to pray and ask the Holy Spirit how to continue forward in love for the person we work with but also know how we keep to His commands so that we are not accepting or approving that which is wrong in God ‘s sight!
In remembering those choose to be greedy for gain, they choose less quality but more quantity so they make more money quickly. If our hearts pursue gain, is it for our glory, for our own name to make some ground with those of influence in a short amount of time? Truly being honest is speaking truth in all arenas of our lives! It is one standing to honor God in the avenues of life where we choose daily whom we will serve.

There is a day coming when man or woman will have to leave business at the door with understanding that time is short and without an open heart to God, then we fall short and without Him entirely. My prayer would be that people would be open to hear the good news of life eternally that gives honor and glory to God only. There is coming a day when one will be asked to give up their old life for that which brings life and not the deadly path so many encounter today.

If God did not allow King David to build the Temple because he was a man of war, how much so in our time for those who go to the HOUSE of God? How much more today should we find our full attention given to Him Who gives life?  For where our heart is, there is where we will go for an eternity! For what we treasure, that is that which holds maybe in not such a good place, but never the less, the place we treasure and hold onto is where our heart will lead us.

Jesus saw the Temple where God would come, and was seeing the day when the Holy Spirit would come to abide and comfort each individual on earth. His interest was in maintaining that which was holy unto the Lord and represent His Father on earth. Jesus’ heart was for Mankind. He was not about buying, trading and selling, but about having worship toward God. It was about employing prayer and relationship with God the Father. God's house in us is to be a house of prayer. It was for all men and women to hear and speak to God in prayer. If people would only come there with a humble heart, then there would be no need of war anymore! Spend time to know what is in the Father’s heart. Follow His commands to live for Him and not accept or approve that which He forbids!

Certainly the Flood should point many away from perverse behavior, still the Father did say He would not Flood the earth again and put the rainbow in the sky as His promise to us. Still, Jesus talks of the seven churches in the book of Revelation.  The church at Laodicea had no commendations, they were indifferent to what was going on around them and His instruction to them was to be zealous and repent! Of the church at Sardis, that some were commended that they had kept the faith, it was a dead church and they needed to repent and strengthen what remained. For Pergamos, the commendation was to keep the faith of Christ, the criticism was that they tolerated immorality, idolatry, and heresies and they were told to repent. Ephesus no longer held a fervent love for Christ, but they had rejected evil, persevered with patience. Their instruction was to “do the works you did at first”.

Jesus tells each church this: “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches”. We are to hear what the Spirit speaks and especially in these days when many are turning a deaf ear to those with agendas to serve the flesh and not the living God who promises eternal life with His Son. In knowing our Father is Spirit, might we be keeping time to keep the spiritual of God alive in our hearing so we not take a step into that which is a death chamber of horrors to where there is no end? Do not accept or approve what God forbids!
