Turn to See the Voice

 

In listening, that hearing God speak, do we know Him in that silence? What about hearing His authority and strength while He speaks? In verse 10 of Revelation 13..the call is for endurance and faith of the saints. Faith is required ….it should be a knowing of the past faith walk in Him, that although He is neither chaotic nor is He haphazard, but the end times have been orchestrated by Him. It is you and I who are to walk like a beautiful song on a stormy day, to live in harmony with God seated in heavenly places while hell is breaking loose….on earth!

Revelation 1:12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. and having turned I saw seven golden lamp-stands, 13 & in the midst of the seven lamp-stands  One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet & girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head & hair were white like wool, as white as snow, & His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, & His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.

1.         The sun is a star that will burn out; in the new earth/new heaven, the only light will be from God Himself/Son of Man: Jesus clothed with a garment down to the feet /had a breastplate on….He is the Judge in His righteousness / faithfulness as a Priest/…Jesus is described as His head & hair white like wool/ as white as snow; Dressed in eternity as the Ancient of Days ;He carries wisdom & purity in His judgments/His eyes flames of fire; that His perfect knowledge has infallible insight /reveals nothing escapes His scrutiny… His feet like fine brass, refined in a furnace; brass consistent with judgment based on His work finished on the Cross, He sees who obeyed Him/who resisted Him.  (Voice: sound of many waters: majestic/strong & with authority)

Rev. 1:17& when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But he laid His right hand on me saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First & the Last. 18 I am He who lives & was dead, and behold I am alive forevermore. Amen. & I have the keys of Hades & of Death. 19 Write the things which you have seen, & the things which are, & the things which will take place after this.” 20 “The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, & the 7 golden lamp-stands: The 7 stars are the angels of the 7 churches,& the 7 lamp-stands which you saw are the 7 churches.

1.         “Do not be afraid; I am the First & the Last. I am He who lives and was dead, & behold I am alive forevermore. Amen”……John fell out under the Spirit of God, but Jesus told him not to fear……Judgment will begin at the “house of God” 1 Peter 4:17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; & if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 Now “if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly & the sinner appear? “19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

2.         7 stars are seven messengers/ they are sent to 7 churches to encourage the church to shine for God amid the darkness of the world

3.         Churches will be judged with purpose of purification and reward

4.         The world will be judged with the purpose of punishment

5.         Christ in all His perfections is the supremely qualified to judge the seven churches which are the lamp-stands and the seven stars represent those messengers delivering this message. Some say they were angels others say they would be the pastors of those churches.

John Has the Vision of the Son of Man: clothed with a garment down to the feet & girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head & hair were white like wool, as white as snow, & His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, & His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.

1.         This is the glorified Christ

2.         Christ touched him, He placed His hand on John and assured him that he would not die

Christ Shares His divine Glory with His followers: John 17:5-6 & v. 22 NKJV 5 and now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. 6 I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world, they were Yours, you gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.

1.         Lives of Christians being transformed into the glorious image of God: 2 Cor. 3:18 NKJV But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 

2.           Believers fully glorified at the end of time in God's heavenly presence: Ro 5:2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, & rejoice in hope of the glory of God; Col. 3:4 NKJV When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.   The glory of God will be seen everywhere :Rev 21:23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

His praise will be heard/ God’s glory will be honored as well as that audible praise will be heard seen in Rev. 5:12-13. “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power & riches and wisdom, & strength and honor, & glory & blessing!” 13 And every creature which is in heaven & on the earth & under the earth & such as are in the sea, & all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing & honor & glory & power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

The Voice of the LORD:3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders: Psalm 24:7-10 Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory?               

The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah

Psalms 24:7 Who is this King of glory? Psalm 24:8, 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 10 who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory.

He is Warrior— He is the King of glory/ He is strong Lord, He is mighty Lord of battle,/the Lord of hosts: Ex 15:3  The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is His name.; Zech 14:3 Then the LORD will go forth & fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. 4 & in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. & the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley.  The same Jesus in Rev. 1 is going to step foot on earth! Majesty, mighty,  / strength. Greatness, authority and honor. GLORY! 

In Closing: The Voice as the Sound of Many Waters is with us. He tells us to not fear! His fire will only bring a refining for us to become as clear as amber in His sight!  In His tender love, we are not to fear for 2021 is coming!   2 Thess. 1:7-10  NKJV  7 & to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, & on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord & from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.    In the first chapter of Rev. we begin to see an unveiling of Jesus Christ, when He removes man from governing the earth & takes that responsibility to Himself. It is the fulfillment of the gospel message that He brought.  When Christ is revealed, the Glorified Son in the Kingdom of God will be at hand. Like Jesus, John will reveal that sword. This is good news because it contains a zealous righteous goodness! A pursuit that is active for good to mankind ,a deliberate good to bring a force of love & a justice to an entire creation when the present principalities, powers, & broken governments of men are replaced with a King who will powerfully impose all that is good upon a sin-sick world. Matured to see with spiritual eyes the brightness of His coming, His eyes of fire, & His voice heard as of many waters. For He leads us on…. into eternity! Christ is the source and donor of every gift. For that which is heard is seen…..for in Him there are over-comers indeed!

A Song or A Complaint

Continuing Steadfastly in Prayer

Proverbs 17:10 tells us that rebuke is more effective for a wise man than a hundred blows on a fool. Proverbs 10:17 tells us  that 'he who keeps instruction is in the way of life, but he who refuses correction goes astray.'

Ever hear a parent tell you or another not to stick a metal object into an electrical outlet or you will get shocked? I have seen it done time and again by those who refuse instruction. We had a cousin who tried it and suffered the consequence. If the one person is tending toward being wise, they will heed instruction. But there are those who are intent on doing their "own thing their way". In respect to that you also find those with short lives lived out.

And Proverbs 26: 4-5 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like him. 5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.

In respect to that which these state, they appear as speaking the opposite. Yes, they are opposite and if you and I choose to imitate the style of a fool, we will be one too! If you or I choose to respond to a fool as one who would be wise, then we will make that 'fool' out to be the wise man to imitate and to follow.

Instruction is there for us to reach and obtain to live by. It will keep us when it is the instruction given by the Lord. If one would pay attention to any news of late, you would be reaching for that of the one who speaks as the 'fool'. Life should be the foremost character of the person speaking. Are they representing the life Jesus came to give us? Are they representing love that is of God?
Do they display that song in their heart or just a complaint about another?


Fools are like animals. They will not use their brains. They do not take time to think through a situation or problem. They are ruled by their emotions and lust after their own desire.
A wise person will take instruction and apply it to their life. They could see a Doctor for some problem in their body and take the information with prayer to God and find, yes, that drinking extra water is helpful to keeping a healthy body. So why not drink more water every day to see that desired affect appear?

Another is taking a homeless person giving them the right things, with good intentions and speaking instruction to get them off the street, yet if they refuse it, it is throwing money, and services and good toward something that is void of understanding.
We must want to value life, not complain about it. We must desire to work at this life God has given to us to have that song in our heart.
If I value nothing, if I place no value on the life of a child, I am nothing. If I place no value in my marriage, I am as nothing. If we do not value the laws that built this 'republic', we value not the God who planned its inception.

People truly want to help other people and especially those who are down and out. Prayer is certainly a good place to start. Feeding people is a 'great idea'. But we must remember if we had parents, when we got to a certain age, we were expected to help with the evening meals, with clean up and with making it a team effort.
If you always got served with breakfast in bed and no clean-up and no actually plan of being apart of family, then you will most likely choose to have breakfast in bed with servants at your beacon call!

WE each have a role to play in this life given us. It is one that calls on us to be accountable for our actions. It calls us to have character strengths to rise at 4 or 5 am, to go to a job, work the best we can for the company, to make that check for spouse and children. The object being families filling communities with activity that seeks each person doing their part in the life they are given.

Psalm 14:1-3 The fool has said in his heart, " there is no God". They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good. 2 The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3 They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt, there is none who does good, no, not one.

Heard this woman speak the other day. She announced her run for the White House in 2020. In her speaking she spoke she had sought God. I heard that and wondered what god she sought. For those who would speak ill for another's hurt is wrong. To be intent to destroying a man or a woman's character because we do not like them is sin. Any one thing  that which is done with pride in the heart against another is as iniquity just like satan revealed when he fell from heaven.

Romans 12:9-17 NKJV 9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. 14 Bless those ho persecuted you; bless and do not curse; 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. 17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.

The thing is that many men have no regard for good things in the sight of all men. Many are not saved. Many know not Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We must operate in God's wisdom and declare His truths, we use money wisely not to just make others think that we are all that and more. For hypocrisy is the actor who just plays a role to convince others of their intent. They use children, and families as their springboard but in truth show a much darker side to death to unborn children. Truth is made know by the one who seeks life and not death of others, it seeks to reveal truth and not lies, the one who seeks to live is the one who seeks God who gives life to us. Hypocrites demand their ways and agendas. Hypocrites reveal death and hate with violence.

Just look at what they wanted to do to Jesus!
YOU and I must abhor what is evil. We must cling to that which is good. We are to be kindly affectionate to one another in brotherly love.............remember this is speaking to the church body.
We are to stand with voices declaring God's truth as the wise displaying character that is one of strength and honor.
Matthew 5:38-41 NKJV You have heard that it as said, "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. 39 But I tell  you not to resist any evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right check, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.

Your example and mine to others is to be loving, but we must be willing to stand toe-toe with evil and give God's truth. For when they slap you with evil , we turn to expose the other check. We reveal God and His love but we do not back down nor turn away.

For some reason, I always tend to think of the movie Forest Gump and his reasoning given by his mother, "stupid is as stupid does!" I do not want to be the foolish. I know we stumble, but I do not want to be the foolish or act like the "fool".
For whatever the situation or problem, we are to be the true follower of Jesus who speaks out in faith that is by us living in the spirit, operating by loving others by choice and experiencing God as our Father ,who has good in mind for us.
May His kingdom come to earth for us today, to see the unseen, to prevail in prayer for all dignitaries and those who would lead this nation of America or the nation you reside. As we seek the other's good we will speak that good that is of the Father in heaven revealed through Jesus and displayed by the Holy Spirit in power through us.
No matter the chaos, God leads. It is to be our desire to freely forgive understanding that forgiving another may not mean that person or group is right, but it does free you & me to continue in God & become what HE purposed for our lives. May we represent a song that is forever sung for the glory of our God through Jesus Christ.............yes it is the demonstration of the Spirit and power....Amen!

True Joy or Scattered by Grief

Living in a fallen world, we can experience the harshness of the world. Though being born again to life we are still in this world but not of it! If we are not in joy, then we are in sadness and grief. And outside of God you will find no true joy of any kind!


Proverbs 14:13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
Proverbs 14:13 NKJV reads this way: Even in laughter the heart may sorrow, and the end of mirth may be grief.

As we know the outward appearance of a person does not always portray the true feelings of the heart. Within this verse given in the Amplified Bible, verse 13 gives the end of mirth is heaviness and grief. Yikes!

Now when someone gets to that place it is as foreign to them as being in another country speaking no English or like being on a planet where no one lives!

Psalm 137:2-6  NKJV  …..(2) We hung our harps upon the willows in the midst of it.(3) For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song, and those who plundered us requested mirth, Saying, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!"   4 How shall we sing the LORD's song in a foreign land? 5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem, Let my right hand forget its skill!  6 If I do not remember you, Let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth—  If I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy.

Bitterness describes the complaints of those in exile. God forced Judah, not to harm but show their way was destructive to them.  These people had been scattered by their continuing to disobey God!

In this setting people desire to sit by the banks of the river under the many willows that grew along the banks, and in that coolness of the day, they desired rest from toil, but their thoughts turned to the home far away and the loneliness of being on foreign soil. They thought of the lost time in their homeland, their loss of years and heartache due to their own "desires". And while in all this, they are bullied by the nation that took them captive, to scoff and make fun of their instrument the harps and because of their God. The captors desired the captives to play them "the fun song".  This period of time they, the captives, mingled their tears with the waters that ran so freely through the region. Their grief overwhelmed them, and the present worship was only in laments of the sorrowful.

In this moment of time, they were far from life that they knew and their instruments was the bitter reminder of  life that what once was held with festive songs, delight and food in the land they called home. But in this moment ,grief challenged their hearts. No songs would serve them but the songs of Zion. What honored God would be truly noted.

Psalm 39:1-6 reminds us about pain and injustices of life often arousing an amount of indignation. It states: I said, “I will guard my ways, Lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, while the wicked are before me.” 2 I was mute with silence, I held my peace even from good; and my sorrow was stirred up. My heart was hot within me; while I was musing (meditating) the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue. 4 “LORD, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am. 5 Indeed, You have made my days as hand-breadths, and my age is as nothing before You; certainly every man at his best is vapor. 6 Surely every man walks about like shadow; surely they busy themselves in vain; he heaps up riches, and does not know who will gather them.

Repressed grief, and pent up emotions over man’s broken plans produced a flame that had long been smothered. Anything causing heat can be built up to produce a “hot” flame. In the place of the hidden heart, the many rooms contain plans, dreams, and most likely brokenness from previous relationships or with current ones. People need to talk about things but not to the extent of hammering others to the ground. We each are responsible to ourselves. We are to be responsible at the age we are and not hammer others or badmouth another when our own mouths and actions got us into that place of “trouble” and possible exile!  Being out of God’s will is like being in the “wrong” land at the "wrong" time! 

 It is willfully doing our own things when God has directed us to a certain path and to safety. And when we do not listen or obey, we find ourselves in a heap of a mess. Surely we must come to our senses and quickly not to lose the foundation of that which was placed by God in our youth or in the learning stages of His grace.

 There is something to exile, to that scattering, that God finds very good. For it certainly is not all grief, but stages the Father will take to see us kept safe and to know that we have done “wrong” will be readily before us. And we choose to see repentance is the needed answer, then we are to respond to Him so our relationship with Him continues.

Proverbs 19:21  There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the LORD’S counsel---that will stand.

Jesus told us of the heart! In Matthew 15:19 we are told that out of the heart proceeds evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, and all of these kinds of things. The heart, yes, is your driving force. And some people have them “souped- up, and turbo charged. They have a hidden danger of heat burning within the heart and without allowing God to lead them through, they thrash others with verbal sword strikes that can kill.

When they "text' their friend, it appears has the hate message. In posting something, they attack someone, and list their very bad issues of character.

Still others will take a trip to fantasy land. They will make the required reservations, check their finances for the availability of  the quick purchase, fun-fare, rides of amusement, fancy dining and the quick snack on-the run thinking they are having a great time, the "great family vacation or family time together,  till they arrive home, and their old “friend bitterness” is there spilling over into grief of lost ones, lost family dinners with the crowd of loved ones, grief over what might have been and ending up on foreign soil. 

Finding their solitude painful they try silence only for the patient few days and then the flame of grief  is fanned into flame by the tongue of anger for the lost.  Their money spent, their tired from long drives, tired from long days and short nights with little or no sleep and pretending all the while that the party is still going and growing.

God does not want us to stop making plans, but He always wants us to understand that those plans are subject to His will and His purpose. God is judging the thoughts of our hearts and the plans that we make, and if they are not in harmony with His plan, then His judgment may result in something that might be emotionally or physically painful to us in order that we are put back on track.

The word of God is to be our "plumb line". Anger can appear and frustrations can be revealed, but we cannot be led by what we "feel". We must know the Word of God, regard it as the standard and not move off it . Party time is not the answer when a heart is about to blow with frustrations and many questions. And if you or I lust after other things as to what people do, what people wear and  to what people have, then we have the wrong thought process. For lust only brings the loss of most likely our good health and life.

Living godly, will bring life that is long and far from the land of exile. The next time something tries to send you into exile, remember God has a plan of good and not evil for a hope in our final outcome. Do not lose focus of His word of truth to lead you out into the light. Turn toward your Father in heaven ask in Jesus name for the expulsion to begin of the grief and pain. Be reminded He lost His Son for our benefit. He lost His first son Adam and His second Son Jesus, but gained life back for us through Jesus. What may be before you should not dictate your life for bitterness as it is harmful and grief can be devastating. It can devastate your life, your home and family.
Remember Jesus came as a human not as God to walk here. He came born into suffering and pain but it was His empathy that made the perfect sacrifice. He is for you and He will help!

Perfume, Oil Scents and Trouble?

Favor is given as a purpose.

Esther 2 :8-17   NKJV   8 So it was, when the king’s command and decree were heard, and when many young women were gathered at Shushan the citadel, under the custody of Hegai, that Esther also was taken to the king’s place, into the care of Hegai the custodian of the women. 9 Now the young woman pleased him, and she obtained his favor; so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, besides her allowance. Then seven choice maidservants were provided for her from the king’s palace, and he moved her and her maidservants to the best place in the house of the women. 10 Esther had not revealed her people or family, for Mordecai had charged her not to reveal it. 11 And every day Mordecai paced in front on the court of the women’s quarters, to learn of Esther’s welfare and what was happening to her. 12 Each young woman’s turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after she had completed twelve months’ preparation, according to the regulations for the women, for thus were the days of their preparations apportioned; six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women. 13 Thus prepared, each young woman went to the king, and she was given whatever she desired to take with her from the women’s quarters to the king’s palace. 14 In the evening she went, and in the morning she returned to the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king’s eunuch who kept the concubines. She would not go in to the king again unless the king delighted in her and called for her by name. 15 Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her. 16 So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus, into his royal palace, in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. 17 The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Any one and anything outside of our environment and community are those who still have some authority to make the rules, the laws, or something else that can be or appear as negative to us. Esther found this out in a big way!

Moving in God’s favor, Esther found herself outside of the environment she knew. Even though out of his sight, Mordecai continued to seek her welfare for good. We find him pacing back and forth and asking questions for her welfare within the walls of the king’s dominion.

Esther had to complete the 12-month process of the oils and perfumes just to go in and see the king. In this process, any serious skin problems would be dealt with. The woman was not to be blemished in any manner. Of the products used at the time, myrrh, honey and cassia topped the list. Myrrh was a healing agent, an oil resin native of Africa, the oil was as perfume, a perfume ingredient and for wound dressing. It was sought out for the use on ring worm type disease. The cassia was noted for what we would call PMS problems.

Sudden removal from one place to another is a great burden to many people. For many people it looks and sounds like big trouble!  Like children as an example, any trip outside of the 24/7 at our home, my little sister would require her pillow and blanket. She made it known that she had to be home before dark and she was two when she told our mother that. Moving to take another position far from what we know as the “known and the comfortable” can make some people down-right unhappy. In truth, some people can get downright ugly about the whole situation.  But evidently Esther has some up-bringing that took her from the unknown place of just a face in the crowd to the known face of a queen. She had to have to recognize the rules and to honor the leadership over her when she arrived as another face in the crowd.

Favor surely came to her, but she had to follow instructions, and obey every command whether she liked it or not. Sometimes people think they know better maybe by their age or even their schooling. But it must have been Esther’s upbringing in the Lord God that brought her to the place she was meant to stand. We only looked at the first part of the walk Esther took toward being Queen. Her greatest obstacle still lay before her, yet she had made it through the first hallmark of being favored by God.

Was thinking on Esther today, I had remarked to my husband of the people I have had opportunity to mentor how many really took it to heart to make the notes of wisdom the Lord had me give them for the walk with God. Some made notes as I would speak with them. Some just would come and nod and smile a lot but really asked no questions.

My husband has opportunity in the position he holds to do the same. He has done this for many years. In the recent, he spoke of all the ones who have heeded what he told them, and they had moved forward and gone farther in less time than those who took no attention to the wisdom he gave. I too,  think on one who I had given attention to and gave wisdom of God and it seemed to be rejected every step of the way. Ah, but rejection can be good, and paying attention to the speaker of why they chose another direction, certain does not limit God in their life, but it puts a roadblock by said person that they know better than God. Many probably just tell Him, bye, bye for now.........."I know better"....yet, theirs lives give a hint a trouble when you see them and hear them speak.

One thing is for certain, Esther heeded that which was before her and she was reminded of what her uncle Mordecai told her when she came to live with him after her parent’s death. Oh, yes, in Esther there is much, much more of detail, but the preparation came first. And in that process there is the waiting to do the next thing.

I thought of this month as Valentine’s Day approaches, and how many roses will be bought and given. I thought of how many boxes of chocolate and perfumes would find their way into the hands of a woman created by God. And in those scents and fragrances, I thought of this passage:

2 Corinthians 2:12-17     NKJV

12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened to me by the Lord, 13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia. 14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ. 

And I thought of this passage:

Song 4:9-12      NKJV

9 You have ravished my heart,  My sister, my spouse;  You have ravished my heart  With one look of your eyes,  With one link of your necklace.

10 How fair is your love,  My sister, my spouse!  How much better than wine is your love,  And the scent of your perfumes Than all spices!

11 Your lips, O my spouse,  Drip as the honeycomb;  Honey and milk are under your tongue;  And the fragrance of your garments  Is like the fragrance of Lebanon.

12 A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse, a spring shut up, a fountain sealed. 13 Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates with pleasant fruits. Fragrant henna with spikenard, 14 Spikenard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense, myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices----15 a fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and steams from Lebanon.

Experiencing authentic love happens when both the man and woman of God know who they are in Christ. As with the union between two people designed by God, we look even deeper to this in the sense of the body of believer’s in Christ Jesus. We should refuse and abstain from any kind of involvement that would cause unwarranted situations to arise. Abstaining from the unneeded keeps us clean and away from that which might destroy.

In preparation, we are to seek God first. We are to seek to have godly counsel and not just any counsel! And we are to ask God to show us where we stand and with whom we stand. For God has someone for each who looks to marry. And for those believer’s in Christ, we look to keep ourselves holy toward Him knowing that He is our 1^st priority to even living this life.

Learn to speak the language of love. Spend time in 1 John, 2 John and 3 John. Be wise and look forward to knowing someone as your husband or as your wife, and know God as Your Husband who comes for His bride without spot or wrinkle. As we learn to speak with the Lord, then we can speak with others and those we are destined to know and walk with through life.

Protect your garden with the Lord and protect that which is with the husband or wife you have.

Celebrate the walk you have with Jesus. Celebrate truth that you will really know who He I
has destined you to be in Him. And then celebrate life it is just beginning.

AND then last but not the least of these:

Psalm 45:8-9     NKJV

8 All Your garments are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia, Out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad. 9 Kings' daughters are among Your honorable women;  At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir. 

As we spend time to seek His face, and know Him and remain within His presence, we become aware of those scents of myrrh, aloes and cassia. We become aware when that beautiful scent presents itself in our smelling, and enjoying the beautiful scent of the Savior, and our HUSBAND, THE LORD!

All that Esther was taught, the testing came in a big way when she had to fully depend on God Himself. Each of us will face that moment. It will not matter who else is around you, but what strength you hold that is of God that will carry you into your future. In His speaking, we hear His love, peace and wisdom. And it is that Word of God manifested in you that will hold you when all chaos is breaking out either towards you or your community. Stand firm, give heed to the adversary but speak all, write all and share of all God has done for you.

What symbolic language will you learn of His speaking? What will you discover in Him that will not be like any other relationship you have ever known? The ideal relationship, the ideal marriage, the authentic is only found in God. Enjoy His timeless truth in speaking love to you! Amen!

Remember the Wish Bone?

When our daughter was small, we had our family over for the holiday meal. They were new to the area and while eating, the conversation had turned over to the topic of the day: The Turkey!
Yes, we laughed about some momentous moments of getting that "bird" cooked and served just like you see on T.V. or in a magazine.
But I recalled this one time, when I was about ten years old, that when the meal for our family who had gathered at Thanksgiving, comprised a total of eighteen people. Of that number ten were children and the oldest of the group pushed out her chair and ran for the "turkey" that remained from that festive meal. In the process, some things were moved and even pushed out of the way to present the part of the "bird" that at least three people desired to grab hold of and that was the "the wish bone".
Chaos ensued, and much yelling of "who" would take hold.........meaning only two people can hold it between them and break the wish bone, right?  With the battle over, the wish bone broken, I thought of all the hoopla over a...."bone"!
In relating this tale to our daughter, we laughed at the humor and wondered if people still do that sort of thing.
Of more recent days, I remember just seeing a commercial around the holiday season of some younger ones grabbing for that "wish bone" and wonder why or "if" they still do it.

In thinking of our walk with God, we do not need "wish bones". We have His word that will strengthen us. His words comfort us when in hurt and pain. He delights for us to call on Him and delights to hear us give Him praise for all that He has done for us. Was on the way back from a blood draw the other day and praised Him on that trip, both going and coming back to the country. It was a great report. The hemoglobin was around its normal level. Yes, God is good!
I also thought today in hearing a teaching by Joyce Meyer how it is important to have a backbone.

In a prayer meeting about 3 years ago, I remember this young man prophesying about the "church" the body of believer's to have a real backbone. Although I have thought of his given word from the Lord many times in the past three years, I believe it to be so more of the "now word" if you please!

Each of us has to stand. We need the stability and agility to stand and still be flexible....without breaking or falling apart.  In a recent teaching loaded on my "Voice of Prayer" You Tube Channel, it was title The Truthful Witness: Not Based on Lies, False Ideas or Fantasy. We had looked at Luke 4:1-13.......NKJV.

Luke 4:1 -13….NKJV…Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness 2 being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. 3 And the devil said to Him, ”If You are the son of God, command this stone to be become bread.” 4 But Jesus answered, saying “It is written, “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” 5 Then the devil, taking Him upon on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, “all this authority I will give You, and their glory, for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” Hemming in, isolation

8  And Jesus answered & said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan!” “For it is written You shall worship the LORD your God & Him only you shall serve.” 9 Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to HIM, “if You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. 10 for it is written: “He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you, ‘ 11 “and , in their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. 12 And Jesus answered & said to him, “It has been said, YOU shall not tempt the LORD your God.” 13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.

In that teaching you will remember if you saw it and heard it that the Holy Spirit lead Jesus out into the wilderness. Hard time? Most likely! But testing does come, and we must have the backbone to stand, yes with flexibility but also with agility to move when God sends us out to do something for Him. That strength comes when we apply our heart to His instruction and our ears to the words of knowledge. As we lend our ear to understand, we are preserved by His discretion working in us. And it is His loving kindness in the daytime and at night, we see and know, His song is with us......it is the prayer to the God of my life and your life.

For if we would just come and hear Him, come and hear all who fear God..........others should hear what you and I will declare what He has done for our souls. Jesus heard the devil speak and Jesus answered with the written word of God. It was not some quote from some guy who lived a hundred years ago, but by the living Word of God.

Will we stand with backbone in these last days? Will we proclaim God's goodness?

James 3 :9-18 Amplified Bible

9 With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse men who were made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not to be so. 11 Does a fountain send forth [simultaneously] from the same opening fresh water and bitter?

 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren bear olives or a grapevine figs? Neither can a salt spring furnish fresh water. 13 Who is there among you who is wise and intelligent? Then let him by his noble living show forth his [good] works with the [un-obstrusive] humility [which is the proper attribute] of true wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry) selfish ambition in your hearts, do not pride yourselves on it and thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth.

 15 This [superficial] wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual (animal, even devilish (demonical). 16 For wherever there is jealousy (envy)  and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition) there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices. 17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled) then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion and good fruits: it is wholehearted and straightforward, impartial and unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering and insincerity).

In Genesis 4:9-16 we read of Cain and when he killed his brother Abel. With intent in his heart, he killed. Out of a hateful jealousy he killed him. And verse 15-16 of chapter 4 mentions that God put a mark on Cain and Cain left the presence of God.
I think of Cain being marked because of the hatefulness of his heart, and of his ability to murder. Being marked, is that which marks our character. In being the stable and the distinct reveals the quality of lack of it denoting a person's life. And what character or stength of character and where it lies, will determine the person's life in regard to " the difficult" or "even the hard" in life.

Abraham Lincoln was quoted as saying that "reputation is the shadow. Character is the tree."

Are we displaying a mere shadow.....or....are we displaying that tree...........for others to see.

Psalm 1:1-6   NKJV   1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so, But  are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Living life by making wishes on a wish bone is living life in a "fantasy". I am not making any wishes on a dead turkey! Anything outside of God and His ways is considered rebellion, and of rage.........and will not end in success of anything. It will only lead to death. ( remember Cain)

As Jesus, we too, must be led by the Spirit of God and meditate and know to say the word like Jesus did in the conversation with the devil.
Strengthen that backbone. Kiss the Son in submission to His leadership and you will see your life ruled by His peace when all others outside the boundary of God will experience violence and wrath against them.

Lord, You are with us. We shout for joy because You defend us (them). Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You, for You OH LORD will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield. (Psalm 5:11-12)
