In Rhythm with God for a Spiritual Life

Voice of Prayer
Who knows that God is the air we breath? Who knows that rest comes from Him to us through His Son Jesus?
Hopefully many know this who serve Him in spirit and truth!
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
A worker is always distinct from the works of his hands. As God is above nature and separate from it; He is the Creator of good. In His creating the spiritual life was snuffed out by sin of the flesh.

I had been thinking of this song this week and that people would sing in church some years back. It was my favorite for it gives such a beautiful picture of a loving Father.
THIS IS THE AIR I BREATHE
This is the air I breathe......This is the air I breathe
Your holy presence.....Living in Me

CHOIR: This is the air I breathe......This is the air  I breathe.....Your holy presence
Living in me

This is my daily bread.....This is my daily bread....Your very word spoken to me
(Back to the top)

(Chorus).I-'---m.......I’m desperate for you..........And I--'--m ........I’m lost you without you
(repeat until...)

This is the air I breathe , This is the air I  breathe , This is the air I breathe

If you have every been given a bad report in that a health problem that might cut short your life, then you may think of that breath and every one you would like to have for a long time. Thinking of the closeness of His presence to know our breath, the beat of our heart and the eyes that open to see the vastness of what He created, for me I am thankful for another year to come and to be alive to see what God will present to me to enjoy in Him and through Him!

He purposed us for life to live at this moment in time for His glory! How awesome is that? I think it is rich with His love, His mercy, and kindness toward us who at one time were so far from Him. But we have been brought near by the Son of His love! 1 Peter 1: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven fro you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

We are washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. And it is God's mighty power that keeps us through faith for salvation. Our faith is precious and God does refine our faith as we walk through trials and testings! But God is for us.......not to kill, but to stand for His truth and believe by faith that He is always the faithful.

In rhythm with Him is abiding in Him and that is abiding in His word. (John 15:5) He brings us to rest in His Son! Matthew 11:29-30 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My burden is easy and yoke is light.
Most certainly man has ways of producing burdens to be placed upon people but the Lord presents to us the loyal relationship of His yoke which enables us to be obedient to Law's righteousness. (His burden)
In coming to Jesus we rest in Him because what He supplies is well-fitting to you and well fitting to me for it is built upon relationship that is personal with Him and the Holy Spirit.

In this we are restored! In Proverbs 2:10-14...it says that wisdom enters our heart, and knowledge is pleasant to our soul, 11 discretion will preserve us; understanding will keep us. 12 to deliver us from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things, 13 from those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness; 14 who rejoice in doing evil, and delight in the perversity of the wicked; (NKJV)

If our hearts are truly set on God, then we would allow God's wisdom to enter our hearts to make certain that we have knowledge of Him. In that, discretion will preserve you and me and understanding will keep us. Yes, it will keep you and me from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things. For verse 13 tells us that they are speaking of those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness. Why would anyone want to leave the path of life for the ways of darkness?

As we stay in His Word and learn of His wisdom, then we will not fall into the fear factor of relying on the five senses and of clothing ourselves in darkness!  It is imperative to have the light of God's truth shining in on the thing or the man who is set out to harm us!  And that includes you and I who might be choosing to walk out of light into dark paths. Yikes!

We do not know everything that is on our path, but God certainly does.  And you and I definitely do not want to be the driver, who forcefully drives further into darkness and confusion and try to make a "right decision" based of the five-senses that bring folly.
It is the Word of God that will keep you and me, preserve you and me, and will deliver us from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things.
We are to adhere to God's teachings, and stay in the light, understanding that God's ways and thoughts are life to us.
As we do come to connect with Him daily, our hearts are growing in courage to make the "right decisions" in the moment we need them most and speak them out if the "bad" report comes. When or if the enemy appears, we have the courage in our hearts to defeat him with the light and truth of God's Word. He gave us mouths to use and we should be confessing daily that Word over our lives and our children's lives. Making the right connection with Him, will help us make the right connections for the new year 2020!
For this new year we can create God's life into ours by speaking as He spoke "light be"! We can bring His words into our speaking and say to situations that oppose God to leave our lives and leave our homes. We can speak to things that try to come from Washington D. C. and say "peace be still"!
We can pray protection over our entire family members in those secret times with God. We can declare what He has said from the foundation of the world!

We then can rest in Him!
Father, thank You for creation You planned and brought forth by Your words of power. As the heavens and the earth and all the host of them are finished, we see You rested on the 7th day and sanctified it. In that resting we rest in You, our trust in a faithful God who put so much into making a thing of beauty and declared it finished and for man to come and abide. Thank You for that which is finished for us to partake of in You.

In Genesis 2:4-7 we are given this account of the history of our God......4 This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; 6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground. 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. (NKJV)
Father thank You for planning a family. Thank You for your mercy, love and peace to us and for us! Thank You for the greatness of You but also that sweetness of character to behold us in our destitute position and choose to raise us up for Your glory and to Your praise.

Father, I pray that each of us will hear and run with the vision You have for us in the new year 2020!  May we be people of unity to speak as You have spoken for this new year. May our lives burn with compassion for YOUR Word in 2020 to such a degree that our days would not be lackluster, but our days would be filled with the light of Your goodness in everything we speak and everything we do. May our lives shine like horizons shimmer from the sun on the waves of the ocean, always drawing us ever closer to the purpose OF Your plan for our lives as we speak and pray Your Word. We pray our words would always be the same as YOURS and that we would always be growing to be ever led to those paths of new adventures in YOU! For what this new year holds for each of us You know so well in detail for every move and step we will make.

And You have given us the Holy Spirit to connect with and pray to know Your heart. Thank You for Him in our lives. According to John 3:34-35 “for since He Whom God has sent speaks the words of God [proclaims God’s own message], God does not give Him His Spirit sparingly or by measure, but boundless is the gift God makes of His Spirit! The Father loves the Son and has given (entrusted, committed) everything into His hand.” By this Holy Word, You gave to Us Your Holy Spirit without measure. I loose HIM now into our lives. Holy Spirit spark our lives with the match of faith.
May our lives be dominated by YOUR truth that sets captives free and may we always be those who will encourage others to speak in unity knowing that as we hold up that Word of God as a standard, that we are expectant God to have His will and way in our lives as we keep in step with His rhythm in a spiritual life! In Jesus's name, amen and amen!

Retiring Swings, Balls, Bats & Life

Voice of Prayer
Psalm 75: 1  We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.

Was sitting today viewing the backyard. Within that view I saw that trimmed birch tree with a swing hung up on a very short branch and seeing the affects of the wind blasting through the area. Have not seen such terrific wind for awhile and for this length of time. Yet here is that boisterous wind again, paying its call as it travels through this gorge.
Was observing the swing our grand-daughter uses while here visiting and it hangs on protruding small branch that will hold it securely while not in use. For it surely that swing can be in the way when my husband makes his way pushing the mower all around the lawn  to shorten the grass so it looks more manicured. Yikes, I used the word manicured....wonder what that means!

Seriously, was remembering my days of those quiet swing "times" in the backyard and the trips my mother took my sister and I to the park that was not as quiet a time.  It was a captivating drive into that park, Mill Pond Park, and it had this water fall to the right of the roadway just past the swimming pool area.
My mother made her way into the parking area for cars, and we would get out, heading towards that noisy area! If it was laughter you were after, this was far from it!   Yeah, all that bickering for five swings was too much and the threats of knocking someone over was just too much. You know the one wanting the swing made the demand by walking closer & closer to high rising swing, and feet were prepared outward to strike or give a quick hit to that someone or at least push them backward. I did not want to observe some person, young or small, being knocked across the gravel into the merry-go-around. What fun would be in that?  Yeah, I moved over to the merry-go-round, only to find me pushing it for about ten other kids.

But was remembering those days of swings, baseball bats, hard balls, and  the life of those early days. Some called them "the lazy days of summer". I called them much too long for I liked being in school. Still, I liked baseball but not as much as my sister did. But you have probably read up on the writings I have had on her before this writing today. Continuing my thought process, I remember the last days of playing baseball with our daughter and niece.
They were probably about nine years old.  I remember we had a picnic somewhere and we had tennis rackets with us as well.  The area we were headed had tennis courts and a baseball field for any to use. But I only remember having the bat in hand and I could hit it a good distance. We would play for short time and allow the girls their time at bat. Was a good time, but even then, I thought that those days might be numbered.
Then the girls grew up. They married! And life continued but not with the bat and ball in hand nor of the trumpet or violin. To how much we desire to keep in our lives on this journey we truly must find that which pleases our Father God and within that relationship, love is needed. Oh no not for things, but for other people. Yes our girls respectively grew up and their lives changed dramatically. They serve the Lord. With gladness they speak of God's goodness and love.

Within our lives, we too, see change has come. Our grand-daughter loves the swing, but I sense it will be retired someday. Maybe she will trade her swing for that double one like her grandmother uses in the backyard. It is a swing made for two people.
Oh don't get me wrong here, she surely uses her swing right now for two: with dad and with mom when they are here! Yet one day she will take her place, that position that God planned for her to stand.
People should never retire from life! As productive human beings, being transformed into the image of Christ Jesus we should act and do as He did and still does. Life still gives, it always encourages and moves. In Christ we live and move and have our being.
Our confession has been to have a long life, that we grow up in years and not out of them. We pray and confess to see our grand-daughter married and with children of her own. We pray to be on this journey, my husband and I, together for a long time. It is about doing that for which our steps have been ordered by God to do here and now! It is not about putting off life till someone retires, but that we actively pursue life and knowing others doing life in God who desire us to really live.

We still purchase those bats and balls but not for us, but for others. We still put out that swing we remember from an earlier time, but hold on dearly to the joy and laughter that comes when one sits on that wooden seat and pushes off with one foot and then raising eyes to the sky!

No, we desire not to retire not at this time, at least not from life. We believe our bodies to be whole and strong, not sick or diseased for certainly these things do not exist in heaven. And heaven has come, the kingdom  Jesus set up here on earth! There stands two trees, both birch, in the backyard, and they had to be trimmed back due to the severe winter and ice that took many trees down.  In noticing the leaf growth on the two trees, one seems well behind the other. It has not put out as many numerous growths as the other birch!
The one with the swing, well it looks vibrant and has new growth sprouting every place it can. That tree has heard the words: beautiful tree, beautiful worship songs to God and heard life spoken over it. The other birch tree, well, it has no swing, it does not look quite as good as the other. It does not have as many new leaves as the other birch has. It has not heard the sounds of that sweet voice singing praise to God, giving thanks for all the good that has come to this house and to our grand-daughter. NO.....the other tree has not heard the beautiful life spoken to it.

As long as we have breath, we should be living, really living and giving our best in strength and courage. For where we give voice to life, and take the youth by the hand, we enjoy laughter, joy and  many moments from that swing that allows us to touch heaven and change our earth!

Heaven's Crown

There is so much about what to follow. Enjoy this, entertain your consciousness.
I am interested in the creatures that live at the bottom of the ocean where is pitch black, but I do not want to entertain anything of me at that depth of blackness.

In looking up the word "following"......I saw this:
"a happening, a coming next, following someone in the direction they are going. It was also noted that following was giving favor to the one they are following.
So, if Jesus is not number 1 on our list, what is number 1?

In "following" another, the words speak this way:
tracking, shadowing, tailing, stalking, and movement.
Now movement sounds like a powerful word. In a movement to "follow" or "like" something someone posted, are we gearing up for the movement to towards that "alcohol" announcement at the local brewery? How about shopping all weekend?
But that word stalking is dangerous. And the word tracking sounds like tracking wolves or coyotes.

If we are enthusiasts, what are we enthused about? Is it being connected  with something like a new beer ad over a new brewery thing or technique.
Was it someone else's like and sent it to you to like as well..........and in that, was I enthused someone saw my name listed made a few clicks with the cursor.......and boom in the "likes" that makes me want to live another day?
In working on this today, I was made aware of yesterday when our team was going to connect, yes, by phone. Time: noon. Everyone is a "go" and answering cell phone, I hear two broken words, and the sound of metal vibrating somewhere. Oh yeah, it is the sound no one likes.
In every other sentence spoken, I hear only very broken English. In truth, I ask, "can you hear me now?"
I wonder what Jesus would have done with my cell phone yesterday. After the struggle to hear not only on the phone, but switching cell phones with their comrades, still broken English, and loud metal sound culminating in 'CALL LOST'. AND then this same cell phone had the audacity to state we were leaving cell service area. I was in my kitchen, standing by my cabinet watching eggs boil in a pan. How could I possibly be leaving cell service area, I ask you?

If Jesus had had internet, would He use it like we try to use it?
Even with the most notable fast action tools used today.........and with the most noted circulating news team without paper relaying over thousands of miles in just seconds He would say, "I told you this would happen." Remember He is God!
So a tool like internet with a force that will direct people into their future by either being " liked" or "disliked" about a certain new swag, a new way to communicate, whether we voted for the newest baby bottle, or sent  in our own pictures of the meteor shower, seeking to share with others what we have seen, or been taught. Jesus shared His heart. He spoke face to face.

What happened to speaking face to face? I remember my grandparents and father speaking with people at the city gate. They ( my grandparents) had a feed store and they could meet with people, find their need and meet it and still have some communication time with customers.

In those long ago days, I remember people reflecting on their day, their week possibly and finding something to laugh about in the hard life of any farmer or rancher in the south. They either dealt with drought, floods, partial rains but coming too late, and all their pain and sacrifice, they spoke a passion of their heart and spoke with others about it face to face.
I remember their faces, and I remember the smile when they were greeted by their name and given a well remembered conversation with another on being in the trenches of life, with some suffering and a  zeal to continue. Crops came in or they failed, still communication was a need for those who hungered to have success in what they did with the soil, for what they brought to their family and to the community.

Is an instant "like" enough to carry people into something good or is it placing one in a needy position to always have someone like them, even if they do not know them.

The people who came to the feed store needed help with their plants, possibly a stronger seed to plant and all that was planted was seen to support the family who planted it all. In their zeal to be farmers, they spoke with other farmers, they met together and sometimes for just minutes to fill their order for the week, or a month. Voices were heard communicating about the fields of crops and what might be on the horizon in the weeks and months to come.

In the family unit, and being part of a community, standing next to you, I will listen and pray with you. If you post something that I did, I will ask what teaching encouraged you the most, but walk a mile with me in the a. m. hour and then I would be sensitive to know you really want to know me.

Yes, I still think on those days I got a few minutes down at the "store". It surely smelled like chemical fertilizers to me, but I also remember those who reflected life to others.  They spoke of victory over those sandy fields. They gave voice to their hearts desire, and in those values, they honored others and let them know so by talking with them face to face. They gave from minutes to hours to see and speak face to face.
In Jesus we have the wisdom of God that created the heavens and the earth. In Jesus, we see the genuine, the Proven and that worth keeping.

What people "liked" last week may be the antique today. What they loved may be outdated now or tomorrow. Beliefs and those modes of thinking over a network of connecting might be good in a quick and timely event, but the closeness of the truly caring heart may be missing.

Correspondence is necessary and should never be discarded.
Jesus was sent to us out of love. That next "like" you receive, will it be laced with same kind of love? Or is it just superficial and allows no responsibility on either's part to participate in each other's lives?
We are in the world but not of it.

Communicating with Jesus is also following Him. And the communication with the Spirit was the secret to Christ's ministry.
You might tell me how you swam off the shores of an Hawaiian island and saw some special creatures around a coral reef. You might even have pictures and I would be happy you got to do that. It would and should be enjoyable to him/her who loves the sea and its creatures and gets to snorkel and discover those things under the sea. We can make room for doing those things. Good job and working hard can contribute to a substantial check to pay for those things that bring a smile.

But we must remember too that the more room we make for Jesus in our lives, the more we have His power in us. Without the constant awareness of God  and of His nature, we inevitably reduce our vision to what is accomplished on the internet and other aspects of it. We too can become shallow and no have no commitment to anything or anyone.
There are things that you like, and I like and it shows in what we talk about, what we wear and what we love to do.
But staying closer to God, keeps us aware of He who invades the impossible when the perspectives of those around us are only focused on the temporary and physical of circumstances.
Following what you love, will take you forward or hold you at the door. Jesus desires leaders. He desires us to know the battle's been won. With whole hearts on fire, not just with a "like" but loving Him with a passion will speak with more fire and more glory to His name.

I wait to hear from you. Let me know what you are following. Will it have life and breath for you?
Jesus makes us brave. In Him, the weak find strength. The enemy has to leave. ALL CONDEMNED FEEL NO SHAME.
IN following, may there light where you walk. It is the place where the lost are saved! And it is finding a way into the glorious life you and I were always meant to live. IT is following the One Who has received heaven's crown. Amen!
