Dodging Shadows

Voice of Prayer: please note the icicles hanging from street light
Had some tremendous weather events in this area in the last 45 days. With high winds, then the torrential rain, dropping temps and then snow. Yes, massive amounts of snow fell and especially east of us here in what some call "the banana belt". So being spared from all the snow, we rejoiced once more that we live in the banana belt. Funny, right?

Yes, in those few events, there are many "pot holes" on the roadway, especially east of us!
And a neighbor noted that the more time you look for that "pothole", you find yourself dogging shadows.
I agree with that. Some though have a vast size that covers two lanes of traffic traveling east or west. And trying to dodge something that big, will have you driving off the roadway, indeed!

As I thought on this over the weekend I wondered how many times just in life people are dodging shadows, things that do not really exist or could have been prevented. For in traveling this states roadways, the amount of tall evergreens mount high on the hillsides to cast shadows that make the roadway appear to be one large dark area resembling something like a giant pothole.

In neglecting our walk with God, we can encounter potholes. No "if" about it or "when", but things will occur. And we must be on our guard to "watch" and "pray". If we choose to say, I will take the winter season off," then by that we are not choosing to spend time with God? Taking some time off has been spoke by those who usually attend church or at least by those who gather with other believer's on a regular basis.
In seeing those barricades put up, one outside this small community town read that" along about twenty-two miles to watch for potholes and for those riding motorcycles to use extra caution."

What? Have you seen a motorcycle catch one of those potholes the wrong way and catch air for about ten seconds and then the "rider" hits either the roadway hard or slams into a tree lined road barrier?
They, the"officials' over that road repair, will take time indeed, for the temps have to be a lot warmer than they have been to make sure what new asphalt they put down will hold in place. And they will put up their signs to slow down and stop or move you the driver of a vehicle to another lane that is open to traffic!
In remembering our walk with God and that which is by faith, are we just playing at the repair job........you know by putting small amounts of time, lack of interest, that reveals a broken down wall where God has been left out of our lives? Is it that we just desire more time with our "peeps" than with God? Do we want to hear more rocking songs that will roll you at the same time a hint of the enemy's strike against you?

In the most severe of one storm, winds in these areas topped more than 100 miles per hours depending on what part of the Gorge you reside. But the ice proved even more deadly.........and the weight of it brought a lot of oaks, some maples and other saplings down from their core. What appeared as strong and beautiful last spring and summer, begs now to be removed. That which impressed is surely lacking in strength and will fall at the next major wind storm or even ice storm.

In that moving toward being neglectful of the right thing, we move out of security and crumble when the very next strike of the enemy comes. Being committed to relationship to God and His presence is that wall of security for us and by His Spirit will show us things to come.

In taking our walk or drive down the highway, are we the secure in God and will not look at shadows?  Are our hearts set on what is the true in God? Our daughter can pray out for her families roadtrip and the Lord will immediately tell her where they must look for "deer" on the roadway!

In the example of those workmen who repair those "potholes"....give them a brake! Don't hit those employed to work on street repair, while you try to maneuver around those places all chipped up by the bad weather and cold! They are trying to do their job as well as they can and as quickly as they can and hopefully without cutting corners. But also understand that as that storm blew in to wreck havoc on roadways, neglecting God too, will cause you to cut corners and not find a wall supporting anything. Our cutting time with God, will only cut out our actual hearing Him when some "warning" comes. We are to be the loyal and the committed as well as we can, and not carelessly cutting any corners. For every trial or tribulation will come, and whatever the cause of the obstacle in your way, will you just wait for it to blow away or will you apprehend God and His word and make it "the adverse thing to leave? Will you speak God's word into being in your trial or obstacle and make it go away?

Jesus told us in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you."

Mark 16:17-18    Amplified Bible    17 And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; 18 they will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.

Jesus was saying, that those who believe shall cast out demons.
We are told in the book of Ephesians to put on the whole armor of God and for us to pray.

We must keep that "wall" up and it takes us participating with God daily. Any neglect, you will be dodging shadows, you will be seeing the enemy come through the weakest part of that wall that is your security and you will see how cruel the enemy really is. There are may tragedies and many events that many people either suffer with or actually die from, but our foremost focus and thought should be on the Lord and being in His place that is a Refuge for us.

There was some important reasons God gave for Israel to maintain their wall and we certainly need one here. Ours is spiritual and it is maintained in spirit and in truth. And any lack or neglect in those areas will cause you to be dodging shadows.

Pinks All Out

Voice of Prayer
In the day of the "hot rod" or what would be referred to street rods, one would know it to be a vehicle considered with muscle in the field of automotive and collectors. In the day of street racing those hot rods, seen a lot in the fifties and sixties, one would see that "older" vehicle, tricked out with all new muscle under the hood as well as in the paint and excessive chrome and pipes! There were movies made about the youth of that day, like those with James Dean in Rebel, drove a 1949 Mercury, Steve McQueen in the movie Bullit, drove a 1968 Ford Mustang 390 GT 2+2 Fastback ( plus a 1968 Dodge Charger 440 Magnum, Marlon Brandon in the Wild One 1953 (motorcycles), John Travolta, in Grease 1978 was involved with friends who raced, and my favorite, American Graffiti, 1973 with Ron Howard, Paul LeMat, Cindy Williams and Charles Martin Smith.

In these mostly unscheduled and at times chosen was where the streets were empty, the race would be designated to start. The involved knew where the local police would be while the race was in progress. No involvement from outsiders while those chose to flex muscle was on parade in those street rods.
In the agreement with the parties racing, "pinks all out" meant each driver who raced and lost had to give up that shiny vehicle of muscle. The pink slip meant they owned that vehicle and were willing to give it up to another as the loser. And in most eyes some of what was considered muscle I would not have given a second look at, but the agreement held. In some cases, one of the driver's might lose control and actually die in the race for pink!

In the last several months, I was getting this word and asking the Lord what it meant, "pinks all out".  In referring to His kingdom and His purpose, I continued to pray and read the word of God and giving thanks to have those times with Him to learn and also know everything I needed to know to do what He asked me to do for this life. That word "pinks all out" continued every day..........and then on the first of February I got this "Ides of March"....which if you studied Julius Caesar in school, that is the day his friends murdered him. Yeah, you have got to watch those closest to you, right? In Julius Caesar's greatest moments of conquest, and triumph, his team rallied and killed him.

So now I had two main words, "Pinks all Out " and "Ides of March". I continued to pray and ask the Lord the meaning and what should be prayed for these things that evidently was going to appear on the scene of human history. I thanked Him for all information coming on how to pray and what our assignment would be.
On February 23, I found out what they all meant together. Seems there is a plan to inundate the president of this nation with pink cards to being a pink slip given to an employee being fired. REALLY?
It seems there are some who want to send hate mail.
I received from The Elijah List, a record written by Jane Hansen Hoyt of Edmonds Washington.  is asking all to begin sending in postcards to President Trump to simply say, "I am praying for you."
Now Jane Hansen Hoyt serves as President/CEO of Aglow Internationl, a Kingdom community of more than 200,000 warriors, champions and global leaders who touch 17 million people annually. This is a community set for expanding and strengthening the kingdom of God in Christ.
Mrs. Hoyt expresses the urgency to send cards of support and the address is noted below:
President Donald. J. Trump
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. NW
Washington,DC 20500

We must take note of what occurred in the Bible especially when someone chooses to go against what God is doing. Even David would not go against King Saul knowing that he was anointed by God to do the job in that nation.
In two accounts David did not do harm to the King of Israel. Found in 1 Samuel 24-28 reveals accounts that David had opportunity but could not touch that which God was doing in Israel at the time. In this reading you will find anger, revenge, pride and yes, humility.
David could not touch the king!

Take note of "the one who lifts their hand against the Lord's anointed"........and it includes those considered to be God's servants. God gave warning to Abimelech, the king of Gerar not to harm Abraham.
Genesis 20:7  NKJV  7 Now therefore, restore the man's wife, for he is a prophet and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.

God also warns Laban not to harm Jacob. YOU can find this in Genesis 31 and verse 24.
Genesis 31:24. NKJV
24 But God had come to Laban, the Syrain in a dream by night, and said to him, "Be careful that you speak to Jacob neither good nor bad.

1 Chronicles 16:18-22    NKJV 18 Saying "to you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheritance." 19 When you were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it, 20 When they went from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another people 21 He permitted no man do do them wrong; yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, 22 saying "Do not touch my anointed ones." " and do MY prophets no harm."
Psalm  105:15   NKJV  15 Saying, "Do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm."

In the book of Acts we find Paul speaking about anyone who speaks evil about a ruler of the people. He is actually quoting from Exodus 22:28.
Acts 23 1-5   NKJV Then Paul, looking earnestly at the council said, "Men and brethren I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day. 2 And the high priest Ananias commanded those who stood by him to strike him on the mouth. 3 Then Paul said to him, "God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! For you sit to judge me according to the law, and do you command me to be struck contrary to the law?" 4 And  those who stood by said, "DO you revile God's high priest?" 5 Then Paul said, "I did not know brethren, that he was the high priest for it is written, "You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people."

Proverbs 8:14 tells us, that counsel is mine and sound wisdom; I am understanding I have strength 15 for by me kings reign and rulers decree justice 16 by me princes rule and nobles, all the judges of the earth.

In this we are to know that we are to fear the Lord understanding that coming to God we gain His sound wisdom and gain strength. Turning toward God is important right now. Understanding that this nation of America was founded on biblical principles. And was started or began in God and dedicated to HIM, then anything against God and what he is doing will bring horrific results to those against God Himself.
In a recent teaching given on "Voice of Prayer" my you tube channel the "Strong and the Unflinching" ( Wednesday, February 22) we are to see what God is doing, understand, and know that what we are seeing is marvelous in our eyes.  Psalm 118:22-24     NKJV  22 The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. 23 This was the LORD'S doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. 24 This is the day the LORD has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Amen!

Understand that this is God's doing, and anything to harm what God has appointed is not a good thing to be against. Pinks all out will certainly affect many people, and their families, their jobs and anything or anyone connected to doing in opposition of God and His plan for this recent new administration. The prophetic word of Trump becoming President was given in Charisma magazine in 2015..(summer)..and our niece sent us the article. We began to pray then, and we saw many stand to put their name in for the run to the White House. We saw them all leave, because we are a praying nation, a nation under one God and He is Jehovah, and His son is Jesus, the Redeemer, and the redeemed here speak that God will have His way and understand that we should remain under His hand, His leading and by His power of the Holy Spirit. Trump was the elected one and done by and in God.
Let's stand in the justice that is in God and our salvation and send out those cards that let our President know that we are with him through his service to this nation under God that will not be divided.............with liberty that is in the one true God. Liberty is being free in that which is found as the precepts of His great Word, manifested in Jesus. We are the free and the blessed, now give thanks to God and encourage His leader.
Who wants to be found fighting against God?

NO Running Amuck

Voice of Prayer
Was thinking of the song from the late 1960's written by a team of Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter. Was written in what was considered the turbulent 60's and I recall Joan Baez singing the song "One Tin Soldier".
The song mentions the "treasure" and how the people down below desire to get their hands on the treasure. They hate others and want "that treasure". The short of it, only one will ride away........and the treasure..well,....."Peace on Earth" was all it read.

Being justified in our own thinking helps no one. If we make decisions based on our own thinking without the counsel of God, then we run amuck.  That is a great disaster as in leaving a two year old child alone, or being out of order in situations that call for peace and guidance. If asked to follow instructions, do we fail to follow them? If those marching in accordance with police on the scene, will be watch and obey all instructions, or will we desire our own "way"?
If it does not happen on what they call "a peaceful" march, then how can it happen at all, anywhere?
Is relational peace possible? It is if all parties choose to participate in being peaceful and following God's plan toward that end.

Our thinking is to align with God's ways and His peace.
We are to "eagerly wait for" Christ's return, not just passively wait around (Hebrews 9:28). Jesus was emphatic that His followers should hope for His return, expect His return and pray for His return! In addition, our enthusiastic anticipation and excitement will intensify as we see more and more world events fulfilling Bible prophecies-especially those that point to the increasing nearness of Christ's return.
Note the watching, waiting, anticipation and preparedness in the following passage: "Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when He will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching " (Luke 12:35-36). Jesus concluded His message by saying, "Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect" (verse 40).

Is one out to march to find some "thrill" in their life? Are they making a statement for good and for good to and for others or is it bent toward disaster? We certainly want order today, but the only order we really need is that which comes from God to godly leaders, godly leaders in government, in county government, city government and national government. Having one true leader is found in God and not in ourselves. Our help comes from Him of course, but is not done in violence. If you were the one on the ground, did you not obey the instructions that were given?

Isaiah 55:6-13   KJV

6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

Righteous thinking that is of God gives us support when we truly are heeding His ways and experiencing His mercy, that presents that womb of life that is open to us to receive all that is blessed of God that is to life and not death. In speaking of God and His words, that breath of God goes into that situation that may seem out of order. Speaking His words become our words..........not of hate, or confusion but of peace, love and welfare.Whether it has to do with your health care, health insurance, raising small children, planning for several children's college, life can seem out of order. There are things that must be done and people spoken to as in addressing adding more savings to your account each month. It might also be necessary to plan out a new insurance plan for your family in health or dental.

When going out to do anything, people will remember your name. They may not remember your face, but they will "the name".
God puts great importance on the His name. God puts great emphasis on His name and His standard for life. He put them into stone. And Jesus is that Cornerstone.

In going out today, tomorrow or next week, will our name represent truth, or hate? Will our name represent God and His love or only more lies and more hypocrisy? Will our name be of value or of no value? If we value no one else's life, then why would we expect anything different for our own lives?

If we truly are the family of God, a son of God and one of His children, then we must stop deceiving ourselves that God will just have to take us as we are.
The "I gotta be me"....and just do it is not going to work!

In recent months I had done teachings placed on Youtube channel about the"the Blame Game" and "Excuses"..(Voice of Prayer link at the bottom)...and of each of these the Lord showed the importance of stopping the blame. If we have failed, it because we failed. For problems or shortcomings, justifications seems the end result of statement. The closest to us is usually the one who gets the blame, right?

When our daughter was still at home with us, still in high school and before leaving for college, I thought she always made a mess of the refrigerator. Not sure why I thought that way. Then she went to college some hours away from home, and the next logical person was my husband. Well, that worked till he started to travel some and for about 10 years I discovered that it was me who made a mess of the refrigerator. Now, I could not "blame" my poodle, she was a teacup poodle!

I have heard kids mention the blame on their parents. And parents are to lead, but what teaching and guidance have they given that their teens now place on that guilt on them? If it is" do as I say and not as I do" then you the parent have truly failed.  Each of us has a responsibility in this life. No matter what, people will know what character you represent.  If you are righteous at home, then most certainly you should be representing righteousness in the public arena and not the WWF. ( the world wrestling federation)

In today's news, a word was given on a 17 year who committed armed robbery at a hotel and then was shot down by police. Yes, he was carrying a gun, a fake one indeed! And people desire justice.
Armed robbery is an offense that puts one away for a long time. Why would he need to be out robbing a hotel in early morning hours? Where was his family? Breaking laws is not good, but neither is the thinking of a youth to think one can go and with a fake gun expect to come home safe. Laws were made to protect the innocent. But who is really being protected?

God's ways must rule our hearts. We must be strengthened in Him daily and abide in His peace that is blessed of God Himself. In that blessing, it is in our daily living that others should see God doing things for us and through us. But the important part of that is that we be responsible with our lives in our moments alone. We must understand there is a judgement coming. And it is one with fire!
Unless God sees the Blood of the Great Sacrifice of His Son over your heart and mine, then only chaos, a running amuck will end in a lake of fire. I think of all who have gone out to "I gotta be me" and came back not walking or even with a breath in them, but came back without any life at all. God is good and He has good for us all. He sent His Son for us all.............and in that salvation has come. In that we have His peace and abide in that mercy that keeps us in the womb of restoration, of life and fruitful tomorrows? Are we abiding in Him or just running amuck?

If injustice has come to your house and into your life, the best  answer for you is in God.......for it is by only one name that we are saved. And not only saved, but have all the answers God has for us in any event, trial or tribulation.

John 1:12......Salvation is through His name

Matthew 18:20..... Believers are to gather in His name

John 14:13-14...... Prayer is to be made in His name

Matthew 10:22....The servant of the Lord who bears the name of Christ will be hated

Romans 10:12-13......KJV

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Would not want to go to another name...........no other can save us in any situation! Salvation covers many things, and we must know on WHO we must rely. We must know in who our trust should be in...........did you check out who you are running with today? You might take note!
Take a look and see who you might be going out with today.......and will you be safe? Did God tell you to go, then GO!  Safety begins in our hearts, and it is to be the place where Jesus rules our hearts. If He is not there ruling, then who or what is ruling, say your heart, your child's heart, your friends heart...........yes ask and take note! No running amuck here...........I choose to avoid that lake of fire............!

Awaiting that Wedding Party Festivities

John 5 20-21  Amplified Bible   20 The Father dearly loves the Son and discloses to (show) Him everything that He Himself does. And He will disclose to Him (let Him see) greater things yet than these, so that you may marvel and be full of wonder and astonishment. 21 Just as the Father raises up the dead and gives them life [ makes them live on], even so the Son also gives life to whomever He wills and is pleased to give it.

In looking at the scene to the right of this writing, I know it to be quiet. Of all that went into creating this tranquil scene, I wonder how many have been married on this very site. They say it is booked some times for weddings, and wondered about those couples and their special day.

In the verses above, the Father dearly loves His Son. He reveals much to Him....yes, shows Him everything He Himself does. And we are told that Jesus would do greater and see greater. When one gives life, life grows more beautiful. Giving good to others, then good comes out of it. From a heart that is "a giving type of heart" others should experience a refreshing. They should also have the experience of being captivated by the beauty that the "One" like God gave to His .....and to us through His Son!

In the scene of the picture, it took not much to add to the already inviting place. Most of the hillside was in place. The trees already lined the stream. A short pathway was put in to keep the feet of those attending the wedding on a dry pathway and out of the stream. In this area you can stand in four directions and see a new facet of the beauty of the outdoor vista. In a small package about the size one might think of comparing to a stamp, but still, it will hold many well-wishers who come to attend a wedding in that place.

There is a wedding coming soon! And the Groom will come for His Bride who is without wrinkle. I think on this below: 1 Corinthians 2:6-12...NIV   6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing, 7 No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for it they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him." 10 But God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.
It is the Spirit Who searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 for who among men knows the thoughts of man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

In seeking God, much like Jesus did, we can also find our place. We find our destiny that is within God and within the boundary of His love. But many today only want that "15 minutes" of fame, or the high paying job without any skill or education. They will not have in hand any parchment that designates them with the needed credentials to do something specific.
Jesus sought the Father, He sought Him through the passages of the prophets in the synagogues. He sought God in prayer time. He gained what was the needful for Him. In return, we also gain salvation through Jesus the spotless sacrifice.

May we see what has been freely given to us. It cost a great price. And we have the Spirit Who is from God that we may understand. So when the world sees us, do they see us as in the image of God our Father or do they see us as of the world?
It is about our being an example of how good God is and how much He gave for us to be a part of His family: one without spot and wrinkle!

The above serene landscape welcomes many visitors a year. It must be left in the order of cleanliness as when they arrived for the festive celebration of the union of two people. And in that godly word of marriage, we understand it to involve one man and one woman. It is yes, a godly word, that came from God and means what He spoke into being.
What God has planned for His "church"the Bride is momentous and will take some seven years to enjoy. Have you time for that? I do!

I embrace Him now. I give thanks and always give that word in remembrance in all of the sacrifice that he gave that you and I would have salvation.
Yes, it is coming soon, that occasion of the wedding supper of the Lamb. Are you ready? Are you the spotless and without wrinkle? Yes we must keep an eye on that. Let us now be the passive but be enthusiastic about His (Christ's) return. In these days as they unfold, our expectancy should be growing. The intensity should be heard in our speaking about Him and in our doing to let others know Jesus is returning for His Bride.

Hebrews 9:14   ......Amplified Bible.....14 How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own pre-existent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever]living God?
1 Peter 1:19-21..................Amplified Bible.....19 But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial ] lamb without blemish or spot. 20 it is true that He was chosen and foreordained (destine and foreknown for it) before the foundation of the world, but He was brought out to public view (made manifest) in these last days (at the end of the times) for the sake of you. 21 Through Him you believe in (adhere to, rely on) God, Who raised Him up from the dead and gave Him honor and glory, so that your faith and hope are [centered and rest] in God.

With us in mind, should we not also seek to be that Bride without spot or wrinkle?
It is all planned out, and the festivities will start shortly! Are you prepared to meet Him, or will the door not open to you?
Our hope and faith are to be centered and resting in God! Will you see what He has prepared for you or miss out entirely...............the choice is always ours, right?

What is Justice?

In working on a teaching on the Justice of God.....I have been pouring over scripture passages from the Old Testament to the New Testament. In essence, knowing His Justice, that which is of God comes through knowing Him!
It is in communion that we know someone! Simple!
When viewing over those passages, one thing was certain and very clear to read. Most had turned from their following God. They had chosen their justice outside of God and were in the path of wrath.
Now you can hear, most of the time, that God is merciful. Yes, He certainly is merciful and He showed that mercy by the giving of His son.
Our identity then is in Christ Jesus. We, who have repented and received HIM as Lord, are covered by that perpetual Blood that was shed for man's sinful nature. (Remember Adam?)
In truth, in all our dealings with others is to be done in the justice that God is pleased with. He desires us to do what is right and just in every situation, no matter what! ( See Proverbs 21:3)

Doing the honorable thing starts within the family. It is the wife with the husband. It is the parent with the child/children. The honorable is to be done in the workplace and at play, say at the ball game or football game. Doing the honorable toward others, but how highly active has it been in recent times? If "selfishness" shows up, then whatever is built on that will not last. It will have no life for the one on the giving end or for the one on the receiving end.
Take a look at the news, and see those who desire to be "heard". So honor is the husband giving time to the wife as she to him. They in turn give real time to their children, (our kids and grandkids should not be experiencing mom and dad with their own screen time neglecting the child or children)

Matthew 12:18-21   NIV  18 "Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations. 19 He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets. 20 A bruised reed will not break, and a smoldering which he will not snuff out, till he leads justice to victory. 21 In his name the nations will put their hope."

Yes, the optimum word is He leads justice to victory. The nations are to put their hope in Him and not in themselves.
Jesus gave them truth. And in that manifested presence of God, people were healed and people were really experiencing what life really was like in that day. Jesus came to set captives free, not bind them up more in themselves, and their selfish desires.

Jesus said to love our neighbor as we love our selves. We are to love God and love our neighbor.
If we do not read the Bible, then we totally know not what the Lord spoke in the New Testament that has the given word on retributive justice.
The Son of Man "shall render unto every man according to his deeds."
Yes outside of God one will certainly encounter wrath who is the one not "found" in God, not with God, not on God's side!
Let's take a look!

Matthew 16:24-27   NKJV   ...Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me." 25 "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, shall find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gain the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 "For the So of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

Any commitment we give to Christ, calls for disciple and the forsaking of our lives. It is a submitting of "our own interests"

If one knows not God, has not yet received Jesus as their Lord, then where lies their commitment? Jesus gave us a new kingdom, one that is by spirit and truth. It is taken by faith in Him, and our trust in Him should never waiver. Our experience in God's justice, is that we practice justice with others everyday. We give that which is honorable. It is not by name calling, and lying to others. It is not by running someone off the road, giving them a finger sign, or a swerve at their vehicle just to let the other know that (you or we) are angry and driving with rage in the heart.
In following Jesus, one is not apt to be slamming a new leader, a new president, a new pastor at church, a new prayer leader within the body of believer's.
We are all ultimately one Blood. And under the Blood of Jesus, we stay in the justice that is of God.

No matter what the circumstance, and whether we trust, our only trust should be in God and not in man. Jesus surely showed that in prayer we read from John 17. I cannot find where He whined, but He certainly took what was on His heart for His disciples, declaring and praying for them and those who would come to know Jesus through the Apostles work in the field. (see John 17)

We must not be ignorant to God's Word. What He promised He will do. And whether for the good or for those who reside in evil, still the same God will bring His justice.
God is not mocked, what a man sows, he will reap!
In Jesus, we have the Redemptive Grace. God is faithful and He is just. He will listen, but will anyone heed? And God never, never changes.

In thinking on our own lives today, have we been honorable to others? As the born again believer, our lives are to imitate, yes bear the image of our Lord. That faith if God is understanding righteousness. He is knowing that in God's own terms, equity is being fair  ( again in honesty and not based on lies). Then too, we will see those level paths for our feet. We see God move things into our lives for our benefit and good. My husband and I have certainly seen that of late. God's justice is and will always be based on His Word. God has not changed His Word, and anyone trying to change it to fit their own life will be subject to be out of His will and purpose for them. And finally we must know that we are to humble ourselves before Him, and to serve others.

It is not in a once a month, or once a week things, but an on-going 24-7 life on how can we honor each other. It is not slamming with foul mouths, name--calling or in lying, burning someone's property, or destroying their lives by dishonest means. Truly God knows the hearts of men.

Who will you honor today?
Will it be for the one who can do nothing for you, or will it be someone you demand they drive you to the next gathering at a restaurant for a meal, or do one who you desire that someone (anyone) to take you to church when in truth you already have two vehicles still in driveable condition in the garage?  Will we honor those who we may never see again but do something for them, that will last them a life time and remember the good put upon them?

In closing: The Message Bible says this in James 2.
My dear friends, don't let public opinion influence how you live out our glorious, Christ-originated faith. If man enters your church wearing an expensive suit, and a street person wearing rags comes right after him, and you say to the man in the suit, "Sit here, sir; this is the best seat in the house!" and either ignore the street person or say, "Better sit here in the back row, " haven't you segregated God's children and proved that you are judges who can't be trusted? Listen, dear friends. Isn't it clear by now that God operates quite differently? He chose the worlds' down and out as the kingdom's first citizens , with full rights and privileges. This kingdom is promised to anyone who loves God. And here you abusing the same citizens! Isn't it the high and mighty who exploit you, who use the courts to rob you blind? Aren't they the same ones who scorn the name-----"Christian"------used in your baptisms? You do well when you complete the Royal Rule of the Scriptures: "Love others as you love yourself." But if you play up to those so-called important people, you go against the Rule and stand convicted by it. You can't pick and choose in these things, specializing in keeping one or two things in God's law and ignoring others. The same God who said, "don't commit adultery" also said, "do not murder." If you don't commit adultery but go ahead and murder, do you think your non-adultery will cancel out your murder? NO, you're a murderer, period.

Talk and act like a person expecting to be judged by the rule that sets us free. For if you refuse to act kindly, you can hardly expect to be treated kindly. Kind mercy wins over harsh judgment every time.

Perfume, Oil Scents and Trouble?

Pic by Voice of Prayer
Favor is given as a purpose.
Esther 2 :8-17   NKJV   8 So it was, when the king’s command and decree were heard, and when many young women were gathered at Shushan the citadel, under the custody of Hegai, that Esther also was taken to the king’s place, into the care of Hegai the custodian of the women. 9 Now the young woman pleased him, and she obtained his favor; so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, besides her allowance. Then seven choice maidservants were provided for her from the king’s palace, and he moved her and her maidservants to the best place in the house of the women. 10 Esther had not revealed her people or family, for Mordecai had charged her not to reveal it. 11 And every day Mordecai paced in front on the court of the women’s quarters, to learn of Esther’s welfare and what was happening to her. 12 Each young woman’s turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after she had completed twelve months’ preparation, according to the regulations for the women, for thus were the days of their preparations apportioned; six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women. 13 Thus prepared, each young woman went to the king, and she was given whatever she desired to take with her from the women’s quarters to the king’s palace. 14 In the evening she went, and in the morning she returned to the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king’s eunuch who kept the concubines. She would not go in to the king again unless the king delighted in her and called for her by name. 15 Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her. 16 So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus, into his royal palace, in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. 17 The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Any one and anything outside of our environment and community are those who still have some authority to make the rules, the laws, or something else that can be or appear as negative to us. Esther found this out in a big way!
Moving in God’s favor, Esther found herself outside of the environment she knew. Even though out of his sight, Mordecai continued to seek her welfare for good. We find him pacing back and forth and asking questions for her welfare within the walls of the king’s dominion.
Esther had to complete the 12-month process of the oils and perfumes just to go in and see the king. In this process, any serious skin problems would be dealt with. The woman was not to be blemished in any manner. Of the products used at the time, myrrh, honey and cassia topped the list. Myrrh was a healing agent, an oil resin native of Africa, the oil was as perfume, a perfume ingredient and for wound dressing. It was sought out for the use on ring worm type disease. The cassia was noted for what we would call PMS problems.

Sudden removal from one place to another is a great burden to many people. For many people it looks and sounds like big trouble!  Like children as an example, any trip outside of the 24/7 at our home, my little sister would require her pillow and blanket. She made it known that she had to be home before dark and she was two when she told our mother that. Moving to take another position far from what we know as the “known and the comfortable” can make some people down-right unhappy. In truth, some people can get downright ugly about the whole situation.  But evidently Esther has some up-bringing that took her from the unknown place of just a face in the crowd to the known face of a queen. She had to have to recognize the rules and to honor the leadership over her when she arrived as another face in the crowd.

Favor surely came to her, but she had to follow instructions, and obey every command whether she liked it or not. Sometimes people think they know better maybe by their age or even their schooling. But it must have been Esther’s upbringing in the Lord God that brought her to the place she was meant to stand. We only looked at the first part of the walk Esther took toward being Queen. Her greatest obstacle still lay before her, yet she had made it through the first hallmark of being favored by God.

Was thinking on Esther today, I had remarked to my husband of the people I have had opportunity to mentor how many really took it to heart to make the notes of wisdom the Lord had me give them for the walk with God. Some made notes as I would speak with them. Some just would come and nod and smile a lot but really asked no questions.
My husband has opportunity in the position he holds to do the same. He has done this for many years. In the recent, he spoke of all the ones who have heeded what he told them, and they had moved forward and gone farther in less time than those who took no attention to the wisdom he gave. I too,  think on one who I had given attention to and gave wisdom of God and it seemed to be rejected every step of the way. Ah, but rejection can be good, and paying attention to the speaker of why they chose another direction, certain does not limit God in their life, but it puts a roadblock by said person that they know better than God. Many probably just tell Him, bye, bye for now.........."I know better"....yet, theirs lives give a hint a trouble when you see them and hear them speak.
One thing is for certain, Esther heeded that which was before her and she was reminded of what her uncle Mordecai told her when she came to live with him after her parent’s death. Oh, yes, in Esther there is much, much more of detail, but the preparation came first. And in that process there is the waiting to do the next thing.

I thought of this month as Valentine’s Day approaches, and how many roses will be bought and given. I thought of how many boxes of chocolate and perfumes would find their way into the hands of a woman created by God. And in those scents and fragrances, I thought of this passage:
2 Corinthians 2:12-17     NKJV
12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened to me by the Lord, 13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia. 14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.

And I thought of this passage:
Song 4:9-12      NKJV
9 You have ravished my heart,  My sister, my spouse;  You have ravished my heart  With one look of your eyes,  With one link of your necklace.
10 How fair is your love,  My sister, my spouse!  How much better than wine is your love,  And the scent of your perfumes Than all spices!
11 Your lips, O my spouse,  Drip as the honeycomb;  Honey and milk are under your tongue;  And the fragrance of your garments  Is like the fragrance of Lebanon.
12 A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse, a spring shut up, a fountain sealed. 13 Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates with pleasant fruits. Fragrant henna with spikenard, 14 Spikenard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense, myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices----15 a fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and steams from Lebanon.

Experiencing authentic love happens when both the man and woman of God know who they are in Christ. As with the union between two people designed by God, we look even deeper to this in the sense of the body of believer’s in Christ Jesus. We should refuse and abstain from any kind of involvement that would cause unwarranted situations to arise. Abstaining from the unneeded keeps us clean and away from that which might destroy.

In preparation, we are to seek God first. We are to seek to have godly counsel and not just any counsel! And we are to ask God to show us where we stand and with whom we stand. For God has someone for each who looks to marry. And for those believer’s in Christ, we look to keep ourselves holy toward Him knowing that He is our 1st priority to even living this life.
Learn to speak the language of love. Spend time in 1 John, 2 John and 3 John. Be wise and look forward to knowing someone as your husband or as your wife, and know God as Your Husband who comes for His bride without spot or wrinkle. As we learn to speak with the Lord, then we can speak with others and those we are destined to know and walk with through life.
Protect your garden with the Lord and protect that which is with the husband or wife you have.
Celebrate the walk you have with Jesus. Celebrate truth that you will really know who He I
has destined you to be in Him. And then celebrate life it is just beginning.

AND then last but not the least of these:
Psalm 45:8-9     NKJV
8 All Your garments are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia, Out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad. 9 Kings' daughters are among Your honorable women;  At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir.
As we spend time to seek His face, and know Him and remain within His presence, we become aware of those scents of myrrh, aloes and cassia. We become aware when that beautiful scent presents itself in our smelling, and enjoying the beautiful scent of the Savior, and our HUSBAND, THE LORD!

All that Esther was taught, the testing came in a big way when she had to fully depend on God Himself. Each of us will face that moment. It will not matter who else is around you, but what strength you hold that is of God that will carry you into your future. In His speaking, we hear His love, peace and wisdom. And it is that Word of God manifested in you that will hold you when all chaos is breaking out either towards you or your community. Stand firm, give heed to the adversary but speak all, write all and share of all God has done for you.

What symbolic language will you learn of His speaking? What will you discover in Him that will not be like any other relationship you have ever known? The ideal relationship, the ideal marriage, the authentic is only found in God. Enjoy His timeless truth in speaking love to you! Amen!

Remember the Wish Bone?

Voice of Prayer
When our daughter was small, we had our family over for the holiday meal. They were new to the area and while eating, the conversation had turned over to the topic of the day: The Turkey!
Yes, we laughed about some momentous moments of getting that "bird" cooked and served just like you see on T.V. or in a magazine.
But I recalled this one time, when I was about ten years old, that when the meal for our family who had gathered at Thanksgiving, comprised a total of eighteen people. Of that number ten were children and the oldest of the group pushed out her chair and ran for the "turkey" that remained from that festive meal. In the process, some things were moved and even pushed out of the way to present the part of the "bird" that at least three people desired to grab hold of and that was the "the wish bone".
Chaos ensued, and much yelling of "who" would take hold.........meaning only two people can hold it between them and break the wish bone, right?  With the battle over, the wish bone broken, I thought of all the hoopla over a...."bone"!
In relating this tale to our daughter, we laughed at the humor and wondered if people still do that sort of thing.
Of more recent days, I remember just seeing a commercial around the holiday season of some younger ones grabbing for that "wish bone" and wonder why or "if" they still do it.

In thinking of our walk with God, we do not need "wish bones". We have His word that will strengthen us. His words comfort us when in hurt and pain. He delights for us to call on Him and delights to hear us give Him praise for all that He has done for us. Was on the way back from a blood draw the other day and praised Him on that trip, both going and coming back to the country. It was a great report. The hemoglobin was around its normal level. Yes, God is good!
I also thought today in hearing a teaching by Joyce Meyer how it is important to have a backbone.

In a prayer meeting about 3 years ago, I remember this young man prophesying about the "church" the body of believer's to have a real backbone. Although I have thought of his given word from the Lord many times in the past three years, I believe it to be so more of the "now word" if you please!

Each of us has to stand. We need the stability and agility to stand and still be flexible....without breaking or falling apart.  In a recent teaching loaded on my "Voice of Prayer" You Tube Channel, it was title The Truthful Witness: Not Based on Lies, False Ideas or Fantasy. We had looked at Luke 4:1-13.......NKJV.

Luke 4:1 -13….NKJV…Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness 2 being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. 3 And the devil said to Him, ”If You are the son of God, command this stone to be become bread.” 4 But Jesus answered, saying “It is written, “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” 5 Then the devil, taking Him upon on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, all this authority I will give You, and their glory, for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” Hemming in, isolation

8  And Jesus answered & said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan!” “For it is written You shall worship the LORD your God & Him only you shall serve.” 9 Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to HIM, “if You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. 10 for it is written: “He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you, ‘ 11 “and , in their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. 12 And Jesus answered & said to him, “It has been said, YOU shall not tempt the LORD your God.” 13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.

In that teaching you will remember if you saw it and heard it that the Holy Spirit lead Jesus out into the wilderness. Hard time? Most likely! But testing does come, and we must have the backbone to stand, yes with flexibility but also with agility to move when God sends us out to do something for Him. That strength comes when we apply our heart to His instruction and our ears to the words of knowledge. As we lend our ear to understand, we are preserved by His discretion working in us. And it is His loving kindness in the daytime and at night, we see and know, His song is with us......it is the prayer to the God of my life and your life.

For if we would just come and hear Him, come and hear all who fear God..........others should hear what you and I will declare what He has done for our souls. Jesus heard the devil speak and Jesus answered with the written word of God. It was not some quote from some guy who lived a hundred years ago, but by the living Word of God.

Will we stand with backbone in these last days? Will we proclaim God's goodness?

James 3 :9-18 Amplified Bible
9 With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse men who were made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not to be so. 11 Does a fountain send forth [simultaneously] from the same opening fresh water and bitter?
12 Can a fig tree, my brethren bear olives or a grapevine figs? Neither can a salt spring furnish fresh water. 13 Who is there among you who is wise and intelligent? Then let him by his noble living show forth his [good] works with the [un-obstrusive] humility [which is the proper attribute] of true wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry) selfish ambition in your hearts, do not pride yourselves on it and thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth.

15 This [superficial] wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual (animal, even devilish (demonical). 16 For wherever there is jealousy (envy)  and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition) there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices. 17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled) then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion and good fruits: it is wholehearted and straightforward, impartial and unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering and insincerity).

In Genesis 4:9-16 we read of Cain and when he killed his brother Abel. With intent in his heart, he killed. Out of a hateful jealousy he killed him. And verse 15-16 of chapter 4 mentions that God put a mark on Cain and Cain left the presence of God.
I think of Cain being marked because of the hatefulness of his heart, and of his ability to murder. Being marked, is that which marks our character. In being the stable and the distinct reveals the quality of lack of it denoting a person's life. And what character or stength of character and where it lies, will determine the person's life in regard to " the difficult" or "even the hard" in life.

Abraham Lincoln was quoted as saying that "reputation is the shadow. Character is the tree."

Are we displaying a mere shadow.....or....are we displaying that tree...........for others to see.

Psalm 1:1-6   NKJV   1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so, But  are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Living life by making wishes on a wish bone is living life in a "fantasy". I am not making any wishes on a dead turkey! Anything outside of God and His ways is considered rebellion, and of rage.........and will not end in success of anything. It will only lead to death. ( remember Cain)

As Jesus, we too, must be led by the Spirit of God and meditate and know to say the word like Jesus did in the conversation with the devil.
Strengthen that backbone. Kiss the Son in submission to His leadership and you will see your life ruled by His peace when all others outside the boundary of God will experience violence and wrath against them.

Lord, You are with us. We shout for joy because You defend us (them). Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You, for You OH LORD will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield. (Psalm 5:11-12)
Amen!
