Good Fruit or Just Rotten

Like John we are to be re-provers by office and by that which God provides in our hearts to speak: 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

For Understanding: Prov. 10:13 Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has understanding, but a rod is for the back of him who is devoid of understanding. Prov. 13:15 Good understanding gains favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard. Understanding: 7922 O.T. )say—kel….to have prudence, to have discretion, being wise.

Unfaithful: are those with no real relationship, they move on a whim, when catastrophe or sudden illness is seen, many will leave. They shift to the winds of caprice and self-indulgence! Many just want to be heroes with no work or detail of domestic life appearing!

WISDOM and Revelation…. The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. (Eph 1:17) that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. Revelation knowledge penetrates right to the heart of man, it is the Word of God with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Even Satan can quote scriptures but it is the Holy Spirit that makes God’s Word relevant in Love to the receiver.  If we just operate based on wisdom, we become an old wineskin that cannot take in the new wine, the present Word of the Lord. Without revelation, we will merely maintain our ministries and not truly operate in Kingdom advancement. We must continuously come to God for fresh truth so that our youth is renewed like the eagle (Psalm 103:5). This heart posture will keep us willing to break out of the mold and jump off new cliffs into deeper waters that He can release through us.

Delivered to the Kingdom of Heaven, Redemption, to Being Filled with all His wisdom and His spiritual understanding: Colossians 1:9-14   NKJV  9 For this reason, we  also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.  10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, 11 strengthened with all might according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy, 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the  light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into  the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Endurance: having constancy in our lives with God and His Word

1.)           Living a life worthy of the Lord

2.)           Pleasing Him in every way

3.)            Bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God

4.)           Strengthened with power according to His might

We gain discernment when we spend time with God and His Word:

Gaining Discernment Through God’s Word : Heb. 5:11-14    NKJV  11  Of whom We have much to say and hard to explain since you have become dull of hearing.  12 for though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the principles of the oracles of God; & you have come to need milk &  not solid food. 13 for everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Motivated by God’s will and Not Our Opinion: Influence of the Unkind: From James 3:15 good conduct done in wisdom…15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. ( it is of the flesh)

1.)            But some operated out of the bitter envy: they are fierce, with the contemptuous spirit, while attempting or pretending to defend true religion but in truth have no religion.

2.)           They profess by lying against the truth. 3.             God is not the author of worldly wisdom!  The world’s wisdom is bitter-not meek. They live for the moment……….that which is sensual!   Look at that of Salome in this passage: : Matthew 14:3-12 NJKV 3 For Herod had laid hold of John & bound him, & put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife. 4 Because John had said to him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.” 5 And although he wanted to put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. 6 But when Herod’s birthday was celebrated, the daughter of Herodias danced before them & pleased Herod. 7 Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she might ask. 8 So she, having been prompted by her mother, said, “Give me John the Baptist’s head here on a platter.” 9 And the king was sorry; nevertheless because of the oaths & because of who sat with him, he commanded it to be given to her.10 So he sent & had John beheaded in prison. 11 And his head was brought on a platter & given to the girl, & she brought it to her mother. 12 Then his disciples came & took away the body & buried it, & went away & told Jesus.

1)            Immorality was found among Herod & Herodias; lust bound him to more oppressed and dark tastes leading to murder

2)            We too should tell Jesus when there are times of persecution, oppression, suffering and sorrow when seeing it among our peers! Do we mention it?

3)            Herodias’ daughter Salome danced a most provocative dance before this king

4)            Considered the minor ruler over Galilee: Herod Antipas; Mark 6:17-27 NKJV 17 For Herod himself had sent & laid hold of John, & bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife; for he had married her. 18 Because John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife; for he had married her. 19 Therefore Herodias held it against him & wanted to kill him, but she could not; 20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, & he protected him. And when he heard him, he did many things, & heard him gladly.

5)            This same king Herod had seduced his niece Herodias, who was married to Herod’s brother Philip. He the face of evil persuaded her to divorce her husband & marry him. He in turn divorced his own wife!

So their influence is demonical inspired, and maintained by the influence of the demons. That is the reason they call it demonic! It is self-seeking, confused and evil and they bring other evil with them! This is ultimately the devilish source indicating human cooperation.

In this passage Herod hears of Jesus & thinks of John the Baptist who had beheaded to please Salome. Mark 6: 21 Then the opportune day came when Herod on his birthday gave a feast for his nobles, the high officers, & the chief men of Galilee. 22 And when Herodias’ daughter herself came in & danced, & pleased Herod & those who sat with him, the king said to the girl. “Ask me whatever you want, & I will give it to you.” 23 He also swore to her, “Whatever you ask me, I will give you, up to half my kingdom.” 24 So she went out & said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” And she said, “The head of John the Baptist.”

25 Immediately she came in with haste to the king & asked, saying, “I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baptist on a platter.” 26 And the king was exceedingly sorry; yet because of the oaths & because of those who sat with him, he did not want to refuse her. 27 Immediately the king sent an executioner & commanded his head to be brought. And he went & beheaded him in prison, 28 brought his head on a platter & gave it to the girl; & the girl gave it to her mother.

At the time of John’s Execution: it was John the Baptist Who had reproved Herod for taking Herodias as his wife, since she was married to his brother Philip. Herodias hated John the Baptist for trying to destroy what she valued but it was Herod who thwarted her plans because he had respected John & had received from him daily: That which is evil always hate the light & the truth it brings!

The influence Herodias gave to Salome was of the flesh and sexual. He had her daughter to dance and please Herod. And him the pushover asked what he might do for her. He swore to her, “Whatever you ask me, I will give you, up to half my kingdom.” This is a bad demonical inspired influence where demons perform!

NO Opinions: No Pushing the Envelope to Get our Way…..           Will not be overbearing in conversation: Proverbs 14:16  NKJV A wise man fears and departs from evil, but a fool rages and is self-confident.    Proverbs 21:24 NKJV A proud and haughty man---“Scoffer is his name; He acts with arrogant pride.   ………….When a person says that they have no fear of evil in them; they do not care about living godly lives. There are no RULES! Many today claim to live as Christians but they do not fear God. They will give no honor or reverence to Him. But we are told to depart from evil!

Proverbs 21:30 NKJV there is no wisdom or understanding or counsel against the LORD. Deliberately determined to do what is wrong is death to those who do it; We have seen this come from Adam and Eve and it is happening in the streets of America today. Deliberately choosing to one’s own agenda is death indeed! Anything outside what God purposed is one choosing to themselves in due to the world’s ways. To me that is just dangerous and so wrong to take yourself and your loved ones down the one-way path to hell and destruction!

In applying God’s word to our lives, we seek to place His will over our own will. Like Jesus, not our will but yours Father be done on earth as it is in Heaven.  In applying that word, we find that which is taking us in strength.  Like from Proverbs 19:21 that there are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the LORD’S counsel---that will stand.  That we reject the counsel of the ungodly and hear the LORD’S counsel above all others. We also confess that we are instructed even as when we are sleeping and in the morning, that we pray to do what is right rather than follow the leading of our own flesh. We also speak out that the wisdom of this world is foolishness with You, Lord (1 Corinthians 3:19)  and may we not buy into it, but keep our eyes on You and have ears to hear Your voice.

May we not be presumptuous in any step we take, we must know our steps to be ordered of the Lord and not to make adjustments to His word as we see fit. HE is the healer, the ONE worthy to receive honor and praise for the great sacrifice to see us get not death, but life everlasting.

Romans 6:21-23 …….What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22 But now having been set free from sin,  & having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, & the end, everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A changed heart is a seeking heart, not of worldly things that are passing away, but a seeking Heart is transparent, it is one that reflects life in Christ Jesus.  Jesus must not only be Savior , He must also be our Lord. Not being obedient to His word brings unwelcome consequences.  We are not saved by the admission of guilt, nor are we saved because we attend church every week. In God’s kindness and mercy, salvation that is true comes from accurately understanding the cost to save and the cost required to be saved. May our lives truly exhibit change that is of a holy life abounding in God’s grace not to sin but to really live a life in Him. Amen.

Are we like Mary, the mother of Jesus? Or are we like Herodias influencing our daughter into the wrong thing of the flesh creature? Are we encouraging our young sons to be men and not drag-queens? Are we encouraging our children to be all God called them in His word?

Each of us are responsible for spiritual warfare and anticipated victories!  Yet even in this hour, the presence of evil struggles for survival.  We do battle in faith and with faithfulness to the Lord; it is His ultimate kingdom we live in; Holy Spirit is preparing us even now for these kingdom victories today: Daniel 7:21-22 NKJV “I was watching; & the same horn was making war against the saints, & prevailing against them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came, & a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the most High, &the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom. God overrules all other thrones.

Jesus spoke this in Matt. 7:15-23 NKJV “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16” You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn-bushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

Matthew 7:  18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19” Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 “Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”

Matthew 7: 21 “ Not everyone who says to Me, “Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name, cast out demons in Your name, & done many wonders in Your name?”23 “And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me you who practice lawlessness!”

Pablum???

Is our home becoming a storage unit?
Now when I was much younger, I remember mothers' of small children recommending pablum to other women with small babies. My thought as a five year old was pablum could not be all good. In some cases, I would see some relatives would take to making their own cereal of sorts for their small babies. I thought the Gerber baby food was good. Not sure when it came, but that applesauce and pears was good. But anything else seemed so bland. Anything that was so watery, so dull with no flavor had to be on the boring end of no adventure in eating.

As a child I thought dessert would be great for the beginning course of any meal!

But did you know that even adults can show no emotion, be rather bland, watery, with no flavor, no pizzazz! And what is interesting to some, is that some folks can seem really "out there"! No, not that they are that different, but they seem emotionless till they come on some kind of gadget that really excites them and they have a fire to try "it" out.

My husband was looking for a specific thing for a gift some days ago, and when he had walked through the store, there was a display of this "lounge looking chair" that would wrap around a person, and massage their body. Yikes! And in a store with many in line to try out the "latest" thing seemed odd to me. But it must have held some kind of awe to those who looked on and relished the thought of the machine giving them a massage who waited in line to try the new thing!?!

But not to step on toes, what adds adventure to your day may not seem like an adventure at all to others. So what things allure us? If you are to teach others of Jesus, do you mention of the Lord's return?

Parent's of the twentieth century, and relative to the 50's and 60's had come to the time of the T.V.
For those of the 1950's and early 60's pablum and detergent were the optimum words. Commericals were rampant: like Salvo tablets for the wash, Breck shampoo for the hair (funny the model always had blond hair).
For that time period, many products did not find their way to the market shelf for you to buy. So in reviewing that I am reminded of words  like: gardening,  ironing clothes (Yikes), using dial telephones, no diet Pepsi or Coke (something called Tab was the diet drink of the day), athletic shoes were for the court, like basket ball and not for running 10 miles. Other words were: cooking dinner, washing out some linens (yeah) by hand, taking the trash to the dump (yourself), gassing up at the station, and men came out to gas up your vehicle, wash your windshields, and clean the dash if need be.

Sewing, mending, and starch were important words of the day. Everyone in the household needed to know what day the laundry was to be done. For all the clothing, sheets and such had to be in the laundry room, if you had one. There were still limited Interstate highway travel, limited plane rides, limited rail travel, but change must come to all, right?

And "Mom" would remind us when it was darning day?
And then one thinks of the Tomorrowland  at Disneyland.  With where their active thoughts took them in the mid-twentieth century seems lame to today's standard such as the people mover, Opening July 17, 1955, they had to have some great displays of rockets and rides to allure all ages.
In truth the future date they worked or looked toward was 1986...and it displayed the Monsanto House of the Future.

Of course some tag words never change:"get your homework done."

On thinking of that pablum, the mother worked hard and diligently to make that watery cereal. I am certain the baby ate it if they were hungry enough. And that recipe probably got passed around to many who found out a child was going to be born into their family.
I am certain that the pablum company in Canada made a lot of money making that product for some years. It certainly worked for that period of time, when most food was grown in people's gardens. Also lot of clothes were made at home by a sewing machine, and many things were ordered through a catalog: like Montgomery Ward's, Sear's, and J.C. Penney's. Alas though many are closing or have closed in the last 40 years like Ward's.
BUT,Why do I say this, why do I write in this manner?

Some "new things" are great to see, try it even and maybe, just maybe to take home., but sometimes things need to stay at the store. Or else our homes begin to look like storage units instead of an actual home to rest and find comfort in.

One day is coming where people will need to know how to prepare their foods, plant a garden, grow something the family can eat. Take a look at that market you shop at now and has it not changed in the amount they keep on stock? Yes, the earth has a great population of people to feed!
I started noticing this about 15 years ago.  Has it not changed to the amount of food or maybe such item you really liked to purchase cannot be found. Now in some instances you can purchase it on-line. But there are times they say the item is not available at this time.  And what if you need that one thing, can you find it in a moment's notice or would it take some searching?
Some hair products I once purchased can no longer be found. Some certain food items we once kept regularly are no longer available. And that is by searching all the food markets in this area of about 100 miles.

Yes, catastrophes can occur. Just think on all those in Tennessee who lost their homes and their jobs all in one day this past year of 2016. ( and that one fire was caused by two teenagers.)

In a moments notice, things can change for anyone anywhere in this world. We should know how to do some things, like first-aid, provide dried food to those in need, give them life support in God's word, pray for them, and see they get to the place they need to be.

Most people today cannot or don't want to cook a meal. Some will not try to plan a meal. But I know they take great pics. Alas, they won't help when a real need arises. We should take every effort to inform other's of Jesus' return. We should be looking for those opportunities to minister life and in doing so, to find joy and peace in the Holy Spirit. We find our place in the Son of Righteousness, with healing in His wings....

Habakkuk 3:17-19   NKJV....17 Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the live may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls----18 YET I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 19 The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.

Although things may not go as you expect them to, always expect God to be faithful for you and yours. Our fellowship should be with Him who can feed us in famine and provide everything we might need. Truly He is with us, always, even to the end of the age. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)

IN CLOSING: I leave you with another scripture passage: Luke 12: 42-48  NKJV   42 And the Lord said, "Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? 43 "Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 44 "Truly I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has. 45'But if that servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk; 46 'the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him portion with the unbeliever's. 47 'And that servant who knew his master's will and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many strips. 48 'But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of strips, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, form him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they ask the more.

Leaders of the family (dad and mom) lead their children by teaching them the importance of being responsible of the household chores. Each of their children are communicated love in the beginning and healthy growth is expected in a loving home of support. So "a team adventure" has begun. The life of each should be with anticipation of what God has planned for those who have been introduced to knowing God, not just knowing of Him but to have a relationship with HIM!
Within the church, too, that leader is to lead the congregation. As an apostle, teacher/pastor or prophet they remind everyone that Jesus is returning. And each apostle, prophet, or teacher/pastor has the responsibility of teaching and always reminding of the Lord's return. If they are not they end up with the unbeliever's......that's the word of God!

He who is the faithful and wise will give those their portion in due season. The parent's give their children that due them for each age as they develop into adults. So too, the leading of the "church" has to give the "food" to those he leads. That which is due season is now being told of the Lord's return. If your leader has not, then pray for them, and ask the Lord if you should talk  with them about it. But most certainly tell your peers of Jesus' return.
For what food we need should have developed to the sincere"meat" God intends for us to mature. Our next step would be toward reading the book of Revelation.
If you lead others, much is required of you, are you telling them of the Lord's return? Or is your group still receiving "pablum"?

To Bind, Govern, AND HEAL?

Isaiah 3:6-9.............6 When a man takes hold of his brother
In the house of his father, saying,
"You have clothing;
You be our ruler,
And let these ruins be under your power,"
7 In that day he will protest, saying,
"I cannot cure your ills,
For in my house is neither food nor clothing;
Do not make me a ruler of the people."

8 For Jerusalem stumbled,
And Judah is fallen,
Because their tongue and their doings
Are against the LORD,
To provoke the eyes of His glory.
9 The look on their countenance witnesses against them,
And they declare their sin as Sodom;
They do not hide it.
Woe to their soul!
For they have brought evil upon themselves.   NKJV

Came across this reading......and was intrigued by the verse 7 stating......."I cannot cure your ills, for in my house is neither food nor clothing. Do not make me a ruler of the people."
Now how many times have we seen people who love to "rule" over other people? Now at searching out the word from the concordance, we find it to mean to..........bind, gird about, govern, healer, .....

The other thing I noticed as I was reading about what was transpiring in the chapter (2) before, brought the prophet to caution all........that we should not put our confidence in any man. The prophet goes on to mention what those things will be as he was given them by God. He talks of their of government being judged. It is a total decay of the kingdom and of their church. He told of their looking to man for answers, when it was in actuality man who brought on "all those problems" to the land.
There were judgments against their military. If it was despicable, then man must remember that word...."

Isaiah 25:3-5...........3 Therefore the strong people will glorify You;

The city of the terrible nations will fear You.

4 For You have been a strength to the poor,

A strength to the needy in his distress,

A refuge from the storm,

A shade from the heat;

For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

5 You will reduce the noise of aliens,

As heat in a dry place;

As heat in the shadow of a cloud,
The song of the terrible ones will be diminished. NKJV

In regard to what the prophet talks of in those days, these people saw their wealth in getting what they desired or truly needed. So what if the bread and the water are taken away? What if rain is withheld from our community and this land?

But we see the Lord being glorified in Isaiah 25. He is the strength to to the poor. He is strength to the needy in his distress. He is a refuge from the storm.........ever been in a storm with high winds, 116 strikes of lightning an hour and the land is dry? But what about the blast from those who are against you? It can be as a storm that seems to never end!
Verse 5 says that HE REDUCES THE NOISE OF THE ALIENS, THOSE WHO SPEAK DIFFERENT THAN US, ACT DIFFERENT THAN US, WHO FOLLOW THEIR OWN gods!

I think of Jesus talking to Martha in Luke 10. Jesus was telling her that Mary had chosen that good part which will not be taken away from her.

Luke 10:42.................... 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her." NKJV

Well, what part? Being in awe of the love of God! Being captivated by the spiritual side of all this. Martha's serving would die with her. All that natural part of her would die. She would leave this earth without her body. Then all her gift in hospitality, all her great recipes and her personality would leave the earth one day. But Mary's good part, knowing Jesus spiritually would be eternal!

In following Jesus as Mary did, we find the good part. We find in Him, the way, the truth and the Life!

"You have clothing, be our ruler"!
Never mind the person has no previous leadership ability.........you have clothing, be our ruler! You have the right colored jacket, be our leader! You have a black jacket with a white patch on it, be our leader. You have fancy clothes to wear, be our leader. YOU drive a new Lexus, be our leader. (not that I have anything against a Lexus) Wow!
Ever been in a church where the pastor desires those who have the expensive vehicles to lead others? I have!
When people see things becoming so broken, torn down, and not usable any longer, and when there is no rain and the bread runs out........then what? When it seems the government is falling down, apart and to ruin, and the news reports sound more like a horror movie,  but there is one who sticks closer than a brother. His name is Jesus!

But back to that ruler, the one to rule over people, yes that one, is to be a healer as well! Remember when you look it up, that leader is to be one who will lead and bind, govern and heal.
Being leader takes a quality only God can give to you. It is born out of a love for the fellowman.

Leaders like people, enjoy being around them and like to help them. They walk in integrity toward them.  Those who truly desire another's success will always deal in truth.
Leaders like to communicate. They reach out to others by communicating, "hey I am here."
Leaders will know their opponent. They will know when to avoid conflict and when to address a certain situation. In any conflict, those flaws are revealed, but in dealing with others, the leader who heals will call out the weakness and always look out for the person's potential he is leading.
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep."  NKJV

If we have the heart problem, it looks like this! ...........Mark 7:20-23........................20 "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man."    NKJV

If things are breaking down, the water running out and there is no bread for one to eat, then we must consider we are in a sickly place. From Isaiah 3, we saw men who were looking for someone who had clothes to wear, not just one garment but many. They wanted to have that which was decaying, rebuilt and continue to do their own thing!
BUT the only one who can bring life is Jesus.! He is the only One who leads others to safety, who looks out for their good and expects to have fellowship with them.
Are we coming from a place of idolatry or bitterness? Are we coming from a place of pride and I want my own way or are we coming from a place of love?

These people spoken about in Isaiah 3, were those who were doing their own thing and speaking evil against God.   Let's pray for a nation that will follow God since our founding Fathers did over 200 years ago. This is the greatest nation in the world. It must be each of us directing ourselves to the the leader, God has called us to be. We must take our places and lead by His Word. Amen.

Jesus was and is the "Healer".

In verse 9, we see these folks declaring their sin. They are proud sinners! Wow! And they are compared with Sodom. Is it possible for this to be true?
Is it possible that men and women around the world are being deceived by an enemy?  Yes!  In 1 Peter 5:8.........we are told to...........8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. NKJV

So what about those who do not know the word of God......? Do we pray for them or do we seek God in His goodness, to show us how to pray in these days?

Any of us can see many people with sick hearts. They are sick and need the "HEALER". THEY NEED THE GREAT LEADER, THE GOOD SHEPHERD....THE DELIVERER, THE GREAT "I AM", GREAT HIGH PRIEST, FIRST BEGOTTEN, CORNERSTONE, BREAD OF LIFE, AND FAITHFUL WITNESS! They need a Savior!

Luke 4:23-27........23 Then he said, "Probably you will quote me that proverb, 'Physician, heal yourself----meaning, 'Why don't you do miracles here in your hometown like those you did in Capernaum?" 24 But I solemnly declare to you that no prophet is accepted in his own hometown!  25 For example, remember how Elijah the prophet used a miracle to help the widow of Zarephath-a foreigner from the land of Sidon. There were many Jewish widows needing help in those days of famine, for there had been no rain for three and a half years, and hunger stalked the land; yet Elijah was not sent to them. 27 Or think of the prophet Elisha, who healed Naaman, a Syrian, rather than the many Jewish lepers needing help."   TLB

THAT GOOD PART, IS FOUND IN JESUS....it is remembering He died to give us life. He gave it to us whether there are storms, or floods, whether there are tornadoes or typhoons, whether there are earthquakes or tsunamis, or famine stalking the land. He is the "I AM" in our midst. Amen.

John 10:14-16..............14 "I am the Good Shepherd and know my own sheep, and they know me, 15 just as my Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep, too, in another fold. I must bring them also, and they will heed my voice; and there will be one flock with one Shepherd. TLB

Luke 5:17-18................17 Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
NKJV

Jesus had opportunity to teach Pharisees and teachers of the law who had come from every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. The power of the Lord was present to heal them.
Even those who were against Jesus were present when the power to heal came. He followed His Father and did the same things He saw the Father do. In the midst of even unbeliever's the power of God can come to heal all those gathering together. The goodness of God is seen and some people change by it and other's do not!

So what if the bread and the water are taken away? What if rain is withheld from our community and this land?  Will we remind ourselves that God has the answers, and that He will be our guide?

2 Timothy 2:19-20.............19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity."   NKJV
Luke 5:31-32.......31 Jesus answered and said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."     NKJV

Father, in Jesus' name we pray, that we need only the Savior. We have the Great Shepherd. We desire to humble ourselves under Your mighty hand and resist the devil,he will flee from us. We desire to come near to YOU. For we know that all that comes to a land is that which is the product of a sick heart. When we truly desire to purify our hearts, and to grieve over that which we have done, and truly repent, it is YOU who will lift us up.(James 4:7-12)
Father, it is not our desire to slander another, or speak against a brother or judge him for we understand the only Lawgiver and Judge is he who is able to save and to destroy.
What we do ask, is that we would continue to have the walk of faith to trust no matter what is going on in the world. The Word stands that the "Lord knows those who are His."
We know the land has leaders and we pray for them all, that they would have the wisdom of God and dwell in His presence. Make they make the decisions that will benefit all based on the Word of God.
We, who are the temple of the living God, understand that we are to mediate the blessing of God to the kingdoms of this world.
Please give us the boldness to speak when we need to speak and to be mute, when we must be mute. Help us by Your Holy Spirit be the men and women who are called of God and are Christ's ambassadors displaying the righteousness of God to those around us. We look to You for the answers we need today and how to pray for our nation and those around us. YOU are gracious when we cry for help! We pray to hear Your voice saying, "this is the way; walk in it."  It is our desire to abide in YOU.......as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself. Today we have sought out the Lord and to abide under the shadow of the Almighty....we believe that which we desire is done for us. Be glorified Father God and may we bear fruit showing that we are the disciples of the Lord. Amen.
