The Gang's All Here

Jesus can even enter through locked doors!
Was thinking and meditating on John 20. Had received an email from family about Passover and Resurrection Day and thought of "the one day soon" when our Savior returns!
He came to deliver us to soundness, a perfect soundness of mind and of wholeness to the body
The important point was that Jesus prevailed by the Word of God. He was the Word manifested and can be the manifested word in our lives when we continue to speak that truth and believe it. When that occurs we can tell others of His word living and abiding in us and how daily we are living unto the purpose God planned for us to live.

John 20:24-31 Amplified Bible 24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. 25  So the other disciples kept telling him, We have seen the Lord! But he said to them, Unless I see in His hands the marks made by the nails and put my finger into the nail prints, and put my hand into His side, I will never believe [it].

Yes, there are still those like Thomas who exist too!

26 Eight days later His disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, though they were behind closed doors, and stood among them and said, Peace to you!

Even behind locked doors the Lord Jesus can reach us! Nothing prevents Him to reach us! (Now some believe this was church time, it appeared more like they were hiding)

27 The He said to Thomas, Reach out your finger here and see My hands; and put out your hand and place [it] in My side. Do not be faithless and incredulous, but [stop your unbelief and] believe! 28 Thomas answered Him, My Lord and my God! 29 Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, Thomas, do you now believe (trust, have faith)? Blessed and happy and to be envied are those who have never seen Me and yet have believed and adhered to and trusted and relied on Me. 30 There are also many other signs and miracles which Jesus performed in the presence of the disciples which are not written in this book. 31 but these are written (recorded) in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ (the Anointed One) the Son of God, and that through believing and cleaving to and trusting and relying upon Him you may have life through (in) His name [through Who He is].

My husband and I heard a teaching today that revealed much about that leaving the family that raised you and to cling to the wife. Much clarity revealed that when a man actually leaves....and begins to cleave to his wife....His wife is all he really needs in the plan that God put forth. With God leading the way, then the image of God is to appear, His righteousness is to also appear in our living day to day. The husband leaving his family now cleaves and clings to the wife. That is revealed even  in our walk with God.

We are to rely only on Him totally! Thomas still would not believe unless he did step 1...unless I see His hands, step 2, unless I put my finger into the nail prints and 3 unless I put my hand into His side I will never believe.

One other area of Thomas is found in John 11. In it Jesus was going to where Lazarus had died. But Thomas knew the Jews were there. His reasoned that if they killed Jesus, then all the disciples would die as well. Yes, this man had some obvious doom and gloom in his life. In making his decisions, they were made without the truth of the word of God. And there are some who will encourage you in doom and gloom. Thomas did that!
Thomas said this: John 11: 16 Then Thomas, who was called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples. "Let us go too, that we may die (be killed) along with Him.

The fear of men always brings a snare (Proverbs 29:25), and Jesus wants His disciples to avoid it and be stable in their faith.

We should be able to see Jesus in the pages of the New Testament. Although the Old Testament does give witness through prophetic words that He was coming. Still, today many are told of His return, but how many are watching and waiting for Him. As the disciples of Christ Jesus, we should go about to build one another in their faith. But Thomas did not receive from them!
Thomas was absent from the gang. And those who were behind doors sought to lock them tight because of their fear of the Jews! But Thomas had also individually locked out the Holy One of Israel. Thomas was limited in his thinking and convinced by his "own method" and do it his way....which pretty much left him in a state of unbelief! His friends in the Lord should have been enough to spark an enthusiasm, yet he was left there.....like in neutral and without the Lord, without joy and utterly hopeless. But the Lord Jesus came again.

Then ultimately Thomas faced his unbelief. He proclaimed to Jesus, "My Lord and my God!"
Where was Thomas when Jesus appeared the first time? When walking with the other disciples why did Thomas not believe them when they spoke of their Lord and Savior?
It all comes back to "heart issues"!
He appeared as the slow in faith and certainly weak as well. For we are to adhere to the Lord's teachings and of that teaching we are to embrace it. We are not to change to suit us but receive it as it is that word that sets the captives free! He had the same teachings as all the others. Judas betrayed Jesus and Thomas was held captive by his unbelief!

1 John 5:10-11 NKJV 10 He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11 And this is the testimony that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
For we should know Jesus in our hearts, know when He is present and know He is for us!

John 20:27-29   NIV 27 Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand & put it into my side. Stop doubting - believe." 28 Thomas said to him, "My Lord & my God!"     29 Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen & yet have believed."

Stop doubting! The only one you really need is Jesus! Stop doubting, and remember that He went to the Cross as the sacrifice for our sins. Remember that receiving Him as Lord, we receive all that the Father has for us. We are to act like Jesus and be available to tell others of Him! If they need to see Him, then may they truly see Him in you and in me! For without Him we can do nothing of ourselves. Those who walk by faith honor God and they honor the Lord! God cannot lie. What He has spoken He will do it!

I think we should not dare miss the miraculous by being stuck on the side of the road. Hesitant of whether it be God or not, for in truly believing you and I have eternal life in His Name! WE continue in the forward motion of life and ever clinging to His goodness and the love He gave for us!

Attachments

To add  or attach long lists to what God has already done:wrong!
John 9:29-38 Amplified Bible 29 We know for certain that God spoke with Moses, but as for this Fellow, we know nothing about where He hails from. 30 The man replied, Well this astonishing! Here a man has opened my eyes, and yet you do not know where He comes from [That is amazing!] 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and a worshiper of Him and does His will, He listens to him. 32 since the beginning of time it has never been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind. 33 If this Man were not from God, He would not be able to do anything like this. 34  They retorted, "You were wholly born in sin [from head to foot]; and do you [presume to] teach us? So they cast him out [threw him clear outside the synagogue]. 35 Jesus heard that they had put him out, and meeting him He said, Do you believe in and adhere to the Son of Man, or the Son of God? 36 He answered, Who is He, Sir? Tell me, that I may believe in and adhere to Him. 37 Jesus said to him, You have seen Him; [in fact] He is talking to you right now. 38 He called out, Lord I believe! [ I rely on, I trust, I cleave to You!] And he worshiped Him.

Attachments are good on a sewing machine! Attachments are good on say your Kitchen-Aid Mixer, or coffee maker, yet having attachments to people is not a good thing!
Now for these Pharisees that spoke with great words that they knew of Moses, that God spoke with Moses, but with this Fellow, they knew nothing. They had evidently a great attachment to Moses. They highly regarded him and continued to add even more rules to the Law Moses implemented. Their accountability moved from God to man! Yikes! And they confused personal preferences with divine law.

In verse 30 the young man speaks out with boldness..."Here a man has opened my eyes, and yet you do not know where He comes from [that is amazing!]
The Pharisees are so upset with this, they seem to point the young man to God and how He spoke to Moses and how God does not listen to sinners. These men became arrogant in speech when they retorted" and do you presume to teach us?" They resorted to their own kind of righteousness!

God heals today just like He did when Jesus walked here! And still there are those who will never submit to His healing power. Jesus certainly opened many eyes to see Him. And the ones of who really needed to see, were steeped in their own thing. They lived in inconsistencies, and with a judgmental spirit.  They desired to stay in their own goodness not going anywhere or doing anything for God caused them to miss out entirely on God's movements through Jesus.

How sad today there are those steeped in their own ways of living or think they are living for God and in truth have not seen Him in a long while. WE certainly need to know what we are connected to and connected with. Pharisees worshiped Moses. They worshiped the past. Instead of worshiping God they had no sight to see life when it appeared on the scene. When we start changing God's word to fit our lives, instead of allowing His word to align us to His thoughts and ways we fall into a big pit of trouble.

If we make our time only to connect with last years times with God, those wow moments that have long passed, then how can we possibly expect to connect with God today. Surely He knows where we are and what we are doing. But do we know where He is actively moving in and through today?

Without Him we can do nothing! Without the Lord, we lose big time! Without life from Him we find only dead things!
Isaiah 42:6-9 Amplified Bible 6 I the Lord have called You [the Messiah] for a righteous purpose and in righteousness; I will take You by the hand and will keep You; I will give You fro a covenant to the people [Israel], for a light to the nations [Gentiles]. 7 To open the eyes of the blind, to bring out prisoners, from the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness from the prison. [Matthew 12:18-21] 8 I am the Lord; that is My name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images. 9 Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I will tell you of them.

The Lord Jesus came for purpose to bring to light them that were in darkness. And when the chosen people refused, the Gospel came to the Gentiles. When Jesus exposed the religious men they reviled Him and called Him terrible names. In their wickedness they called Him wicked! Their judgment would be seen some seventy years later when one stone would not be left on another.

Without Christ, we are empty, void of life and headed for a place with no God and much doom! What was revealed by the Holy Spirit in Jesus, can be the "new", going on a pathway that is well-lit, going in the sound of glory for God's name who wanted us. He desired us and we were to take nothing into this arrangement. We were to receive life by repenting of sins!
And the attachment came by the Blood of Jesus!
What is of religion must be removed from us! What is of rules and regulations set by men is to be removed as well. Our walk is to be in accordance what God our Father as set down. It is for boundary and safety. We are saved by Grace and in that the "shed blood of Jesus" binds us to the heart of God. The only attachment you or I need is the Blood of the Lamb and within that we are truly saved, looking upon the beauty of the risen Savior and looking forward to His soon return. Amen!

How Far Can YOU Reach Out?

How Far Can YOU Reach Out?
Remembering when I was a small child that there was no fence to hold me. I could unlock any gate and could move pretty fast. And that was when I was three years old. My father told many stories of my adventures in the great outdoors. He said I kept him fit to run a good race. I had a great want to in my heart to get outside and enjoy the outdoors indeed!
For each of us, we too still have that need to sometime just “get away from it all” and unwind. I find I can be more keyed up if it is in a city of a million people. I remember the story of our daughter and son-in-law going to New York. When they returned from this trip the stories were many and rather scary!
I remember their descriptions of the loud horns honking and people running to get out of the way of the vehicles and this was on the side walk! Nope, not going to visit there….I will not find that enjoyable if cabs and such drive on the sidewalks in New York City.
But “how far” will we reach for something to grasp, to do or just to think on? How far will we extend ourselves in the pocketbook or extend ourselves in eating “too much”?
Awoke this morning in thinking of Paul and is his words in Acts 17. We must reach out to Him!
Acts 17:24-28  Amplified Bible 24 The God Who produced and formed the world and all things in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade shrines. 25 Neither is He served by human hands, as though He lacked anything, for it is he Himself Who gives life and breath and all things to all [people]. 26 and He made from one [common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their] allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation ( their settlements, lands, and abodes). 27 So let they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us. 28 For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring.
It is in Him that we live, move and have our being! When I allow my heart to rise in worship…….without the smoke and swirling lights, without the “bass guitar”, without Cindy Sue leading, I allow God my Father to invade my heart. My lifting my heart in worship I am seeking His presence, His love and His peace!
In choosing to adore Him, I am reaching into those places that is within my “own heart” that needs changing.
How far can you reach out? Well, how far is “your want to”…reach and what is it you are reaching for….another trip, another game, another new “thing” or another place just to “look”.
Reaching out to our Lord is reaching out with an open heart! It is reaching out with a song in our heart.
When we reach for Him through worship we gain our strength through Him so our strength will increase. And when we do that, even our  determination will increase to reach out to Him.
This past week, we had spent some time with our family. Our grand-daughter had much to say about those with fat eye lids who cannot see God or the sun! And in her reflection she thought reaching out was going out to enjoy what God has created and then for us to enjoy the beauty of the great out-doors! I agree with her that our eyes will certainly see more clearly when we keep in mind Who created all this for us! But can you imagine the depths or heights one might ascend to in God when we worship with an open heart………..one open to the truths of God and never locking them out ever.
But reaching out for Him, requires us to yield to Him! And our God certainly wants to fill us with His presence. He certainly desires to give us opportunities to minister life to others through Him. One thing is certain, relationship is needed. In fellowship, we are expressing trust in Him who is more than enough. He truly is our sufficiency. God our Father desires us to reach out like children. He desires us to continue with Him and by His Spirit He will reveal tomorrow!
When we truly choose to open wide our hearts, we find He will reveal the hurts, the wounds, and the pain from previous calamities of the past. Reaching for Him, we reach His love that will penetrate the wounds and declare them healed. He will access that hurt and cause the light of His Word to reveal that which was just about a trust in a  man and not in God Himself. Like our grand-daughter said, God likes to remove the fat from our eyes so that we are no longer blind.
Psalm 73:5-9 Amp. Bible 5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they smitten and plagued like other men. 6 Therefore pride is about their necks like a chain; violence covers them like a garment [like a long, luxurious robe]. 7 Their eyes stand out with fatness, they have more than heart could wish; and the imaginations of their minds overflow [with follies]. 8 They scoff, and wickedly utter oppressions, they speak loftily [from on high, maliciously and blasphemously]. 9 They set their mouths against and speak down from heaven, and their tongues swagger trough the earth [invading even heaven with blasphemy and smearing earth with slanders].

One commentary notes these people are as common as the human “hog” that desires more and more. They are always pushing the envelope and never know the real truth. They like making stuff up as they go along in life. They do not like God and will have nothing to do with worship to Him. Even more they revile the saints of God. They hate those who follow as disciples of Christ Jesus.

Serving the world can certainly serve you up some “ grand stuff” but will not give life, will not bring you into the presence of the almighty God but will only bring you to the place of folly!

We each have an ability given by God to seek Him, yet many choose ease, that which dictates their choice of excuse to put off any work. They are passive, lack initiative, live by the habit of procrastination, ( their vocabulary is full of procrastinations ). They are oblivious to the dire results they will suffer by the lack of discipline their lives require! They speak : IT IS NOT A GOOD TIME!.....

Our hearts play a real role in our choosing: & from God we have creativity, we have flair to be the original that God created and not a copy!  We are to be leading by action, we are to be in motion,  to be responsible …Romans. 12:7-9 Amp. Bible 7 He whose gift is practical service, let him give himself to serving; he who teaches, to his teaching, 8 He who exhorts (encourages) to his exhortation, he who contributes, let him do it in simplicity & liberality; he who gives aid and superintends, with zeal and singleness of mind; he who does acts of mercy, with genuine cheerfulness & joyful eagerness. 9 Let your love be sincere ( a real thing) ; hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good.
Reaching out is doing something. It is active and it is to seek the Good of GOD! We are to hate evil and love with sincerity. To do that we must give our hearts to Him, so that we will live and move and have our being in Him.

Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Colossians 3:1,2 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
May we allow Him to invade our hearts when we give the sacrifice of praise to God continually. For the fruit will appear in thanks to His name and we will see with the new vantage point, not with fat eyelids but truly see with eyes wide open to see the beauty of the Lord  and abide in a joyful eagerness to reach for Him more and more every day. Amen!

Arguing with the Fence Post

Don't Argue with the Fence Post!
When I was growing up, and still at home with my parents I loved the stories my dad could tell. He surely had a colorful life. He had grown up in the "depression years" and knew how hard it was for many people to feed their families back in that day and hour!
But for sure, he had a story to tell about the things that one might take for granted. He loved showing young boys how to build a fence, how to rope a steer and how to drive a semi tractor trailer. Still he had a love of horses and for laughter. Our kitchen was the gathering for those times of laughter. Especially in the summer, our dad would bring home some of our cousins who would either be at the feed store or the chicken farm. These young boys would dress in their denim jeans like Levi's, wear those cowboy boots and have a hat that matched.
They would gather around the table, although too antsy to sit, but close enough to hear the stories my dad could tell. I was reminded of this verse from the Bible.
Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine; but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

In this we are reminded it is a good thing to laugh. It works like a medicine. It seemed that we spent many hours laughing at the things that make one forget the gray areas of life. It was not about strife or criticizing others but generally how my dad would get into stuff and have to "figure the way out" of that thing.
For some folks though it is hard for them to laugh about some of the things they have done in their lives. For many they want others to remember them for their "good only" and not some of the mistakes they have made in their lifetime. I certainly would not desire to speak on some of the goofy things I did, but I can say drugs was never a part of my life. I was told early on in my life that my parents would know if I did "something stupid" and then I would answer for it and not sit down for a week. I believed them!
But all people can and do make mistakes at sometime or another in their life and never desire others to know of the "stupid is as stupid does" kind of thing.
Still others like notoriety. They like being right and was thinking of Balaam today and the donkey speaking to him. Now Balaam was a prophet and he ignored God's will, so God opened the mouth of his donkey to rebuke him. Still, within the enormity of this supernatural element of a talking animal, it was Balaam who began to argue with a dumb beast. (Numbers 22:25-30)

It was one hot day I believe in the summer of"68 and my dad was building fence. He had added some livestock, and was having our cousins help him build a stronger fence.  Now when my dad built a fence, the cedar posts for the corners was put into cement and was expected to be there for many years.

Now of this one specific day, one  of the young fellows was not agreeing with the work ethic. For my dad, integrity was important as was the quality of work to be done. Every "man" was expected to do his fair share of work if being paid for doing it!

The other variable was of teamwork and somehow one member was not up to the job or work to be done! So yes, a story came out about it. Yet, all of us at some time did not like the work that had to be done, but someone has to do it. YOU can find that out when you and your husband have given birth to a baby and when it is time to change "the baby's diaper".
One such day I remember being at work. It was like the beginning of a new year. People were excited, talking fast about their new year resolutions and losing more weight to gain more muscle mass. Anyway, this young boy decided to be "sick" in the very middle of the room where we had about 20+ kids playing. With rain outside and some high wind, it was not good to take the kids out of doors. Still the room had to be cleared and some of the adults moved as fast as they could to get some of the younger kids away from "the sick" on the floor!
Many of the "kids" were moved to another area of the main office.
Left standing there were two of us adults. YOU guessed it...we cleaned it all up and sprayed the carpet and sprayed the air then we sprayed our clothes.....Yikes!

Yes, some people have their ideas about work and that work ethic includes: integrity, teamwork, but it also includes quality and discipline for that job. But when our dedication to the job is beyond ourselves, then we can do for others. For we should not be like Balaam who argued with a donkey nor we would or should we be arguing with a fence post or arguing with an animal.

Today, I can look back and hear some of my "dad's tales" and remember he had some mistakes in his life, but he learned from them and made people his priority. We too can see things that should be done but will require some discipline rather than just thinking of that "paycheck" but it is about people's lives and helping them be better too! In allowing laughter, we can see the mistake and avoid it.

I long for the laughter to fill our house as it filled my parent's home those summer days. I long to see people filled with the Holy Spirit and to know that God has a place for them when they receive His Son. For within our existence, we learn many things, but family and laughter is key. To do anything less is sin! Without laughter we stagnate the atmosphere. If we abide in doom and gloom we will fall victim to our own abilities and our own way of doing much like Balaam did!

For each of us face hundreds of choices and decisions daily. Fortunately most of them are not life-altering.
Should I go with veggies for all my meals only today or "all week"?  Should I get the ultra-whitening toothpaste or the kind of vitamin that restores brain cells? Oh yeah, I need to lose about five pounds of weight!

But just as surely  as the new year begins, many of us face difficult and life-changing decisions. I’m so grateful for God’s incredible promise in Psalms 32:8:I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
As my father taught us to laugh, our Father God teaches and guides us for his own glory. Our Father desires to lead our lives of maximum effectiveness and fruitfulness for His glory. He desires to display his goodness, kindness, mercy, and transforming power through us. God wants to counsel us more than we want His counsel.

He shows us the way to go because He is a loving Father.
Let's not argue with God our Father about anything. Let's just do what He asks us to do. My father asked that we obeyed His instructions and when it was time to leave home, we knew a job was a good thing, being married to the right person was a good thing as well and laughter would add zest to our lives.
Laughter is a good medicine for us everyday. Let us find that merry heart in God, obey His commands and expect laughter to invade our homes. Truly the joy of the Lord is our Strength: The spirit of rejoicing, joy and laughter is our heritage. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty….an emancipation from bondage………… Maintaining that walk as the son is by the Holy Spirit and it is by our remaining in the joy of the Lord who is our strength! Amen

The Public Display

The Public Display

Matthew 15:2-3 Why do Your disciples transgress and violate the rules handed down by the elders of the past? For they do not practice [ceremonially] washing their hands before they eat. 3 He replied to them, And why do you transgress and violate the commandment of God for the sake of the rules handed down to you by your forefathers (the elders)?
Thayers Lexicon:3845 (parabaino) to overstep, to neglect, to violate...to transgress...

Jesus was reminding them it was of more importance to obey the commandments of God than to obey those ceremonially rules set down by men!
2 John 9 Amplified Bible 9 anyone who runs on ahead [of God] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ [who is not content with what He taught] does not have God; but he who continues to live in the doctrine (teaching) of Christ [does have God], he has both the Father and the Son.

Willing to transgress what God has given is foolish indeed!

willful: with set purpose; self-determined; without yielding to reason; obstinate; stubborn
From 3845 parabaino :to transgress in a defiant will; someone who knows the right way but chooses to go their own way in contrariness
Psalm 101:2 I will behave myself wisely and give heed to the blameless way---O when will You come to me? I will walk within my house in integrity and with a blameless heart.

Yeah the heart has a lot to do with our following God. Staying in His protection, knowing Him is to give heed to His way of righteousness! That if we are in Him, we are to remain within that righteous walk that is holiness!  He is perfection, He is the mighty God, our Counsel.
Filling our heart with His kind of peace and wisdom, then we will truly know Him and follow a good path!

If you read on in Psalm 101 you become aware that following God is really about having nothing to do with evil and the evil person or thing close to us. Being aware of what God has given those who follow Him are those who will not slander his neighbor and will not tolerate the haughty look. For truly our eyes should be on those who walk faithfully with God and always looking out for the neighbor.

Was thinking of all the headlines today and those marching for some cause! Then I remembered the one anchor person of a news program mentioned a 'peaceful protest'. Now how did they come up with that?
Let's see: protest has the meaning of complaint, objection, or display of unwillingness usually to an idea or to course of action . Will publicly display their approval....by an organized demonstration of their disapproval.
Then peaceful has the meaning: a peaceful place; not involving war, violence; without worry and excitement.
The Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English: peaceful people do not like violence and do not behave in a violent manner.

God is not only supreme in power and authority, but He is also supreme in judgment. In the greatness of God,  His very mind pierces through all of the justifications we make to excuse our bad attitudes and conduct as measured against His righteous standard.
Oh yeah, God has a righteous standard!

If we are truly followers and find our trust wholly in Him, then we would have faith to recognize and know His justice and be willing to operate in it.
We are not be followers of the world, but followers of Jesus Christ. And just like Jesus, we can come under persecution. But we are to remain faithful to God and know He loves us greatly to send His Son to die for us. So being reminded of God and His sense of justice, we must consider carefully what it is we are focused on and is it for His glory or for me to make a stand for me?
Again, it comes back to the attitude of our heart.
So in planning to go out for a 'march' we must consider is this a small thing. Could this be something of an event that will make no impact if it is done in being peaceful? Do we ask Him if it is good for us to do this? Or is this just a whim? Certainly there are many causes in the world today, but what we think of as the little matter may turn out for bad thing, the bad road and destruction to us.

Facing serious consequences will truly be known when we go outside the boundary of God. He is firm about us being obedient to His word. We are reminded in Romans 1: 18-21 Amplified Bible this: 18 For God's  [holy] wrath and indignation are revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who in their wickedness repress and hinder the truth and make it inoperative. 19 For that which is known about God is evident to them and made plain in their consciousness, because God [Himself] has shown it to them. 20 For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes , that is, His eternal power and divinity have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the thing that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse (altogether with any defense or justification. 21 Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened.

Yikes! Without God who is Light, then man's mind is darkened. The man operating out of  "the darkened mind" is given over to speculation. In their speculating, they will act out as the fool for they are given no firm evidence. They operate out of wrong beliefs, that false evidence and move in places void of peace, or life! Without the truth of God, they move into the arena of their own opinion, explore by taking a hunch and end up in jeopardy. Destruction!

To whom much is given, of him shall be much required. ….What of Jesus are we giving to people? Are we being easy & trying to make our Lord and Savior more digestible to others? Are we Dressing HIM up or changing His character to suit their character & ours?
Do we go out to march and say it is for the Lord? Or do we just go out for the 'march' just for the sake of people seeing us "march"?

Is our culture so steeped in convenience…that we neglect the spiritual of Jesus & follow a culture that is bankrupt because we left God out.  When we try bringing entertainment, we can totally reduce our involvement and our expectations in reaching others for Him.  If we really look at what is going on today, we would focus on that if Jesus is not the center of any family, then chaos can ensue. You can see that from guns in schools to people taking a motor vehicle to run someone else down. If we don't have our salvation, have our hearts set with Jesus allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to us and live by the commands given, then most likely we resemble the world!

We are reminded of this: Proverbs 24:1-4 Amplified Bible BE not envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them; 2 for their minds plot oppression and devise violence and their lips talk of causing trouble and vexation. 3 Through skillful and godly Wisdom is a house ( a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation], 4 And by knowledge shall its chambers [of every area]be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

If we are going out in our name, then this is easily viewed as one in immoral conduct. Understand that people who know not God pay little attention. And they have no responsibilities to Him or for Him. He is disregarded.....again yikes! Remember He can cast one into Hell! And He certainly deserves our praise for all that His love has given to us especially for that displayed on the Cross! If one would take a moment to look into the face of a newborn baby, see the beauty of magnificent colors at sunset, and realize this was not a 'big bang' thing!
If making a difference is important find out where you play the part in the plan God has in motion. Ask Him if that is where you belong! So if God is not vital to this and within this very cause to march about, then we find no cause to be obedient to His will being done on earth in us as it is in heaven. Being willful is having the face of attitude that which is considered serious indeed.  Bad attitude is always bad, causes problems, and will defy life for the good. Knowing that God is committed to us, then we should also remember He is serious. AND He is very serious about fulfilling His purposes on earth.

In receiving salvation, our walk was and is as the "disciple". Disciples are followers of Jesus. Our focus priority is Jesus as He was, is and will always BE the LIFE! Taking the territory for Jesus is that we are not on the sidelines cheering others on. We are to be the church without walls! It looks like the committed with an undivided and a dedicated life humbled to seeing His kingdom come.
So  if you are going out for that "march" consider talking to the Father about it. Tell Him your concerns and what troubles you about what is going on in the 'streets'. Ask Him if you will be safe and wise to go! And if He is for you going out, then ask what you will speak by the Holy Spirit to others that will bring them to God.

Pray and ask Him what your step might be in this "coming march". For our greatest value to God our Father is in the here and now of this moment on earth. It certainly should be for His glory if we dare go out. And when going out in His name, then certainly is the glory due to His holy name.
Certainly engage culture but understand it is not for the fainthearted. If you go out in your name and being willful not to obey God then you go it alone!
That is not a safe place to be, outside the will of God. Another question to ask, especially to you is will you influence by  the speaking of peace, the good in God or you just going to be influenced by the world.
Each of us has role to participate for God and His glory and the world is opposed and contrary to God. But ours is not to make the gospel acceptable to man but just to make it available to those who does not know God!
Proverbs 26:27 whoever digs a pit [for another man's feet] shall fall into himself and he who rolls a stone [up a height to do mischief]; it will return upon him.
Proverbs 28:10 whoever leads the upright astray into an evil way, be will himself fall into his own pit, but the blameless will have a goodly inheritance.

Rest tonight, pray and tomorrow rise to live the life Jesus came to give us. Rise to be the blameless. Shine in His glory, prosper in His word, and deliver His truth to your community. And then do it because He said it was a "good thing to do".
