Instruction and a Healthy Heart

I am always amazed at people who will not heed instructions, particularly those that can kill if not heeded! My husband and I had seen the warning of Tsunami for the west coast of the United States. Being that a volcano erupted in the Pacific Ocean, we pay attention to it. We were up early on Saturday to see what was in effect for our state. The station we sometimes watch for weather showed the beach and wave action at Seaside, Oregon. Now we have seen what will happen to that city in a big Tsunami. There have been people working on scenarios of crises for that city if a tsunami appears. We learned from watching those specialist is that most of the city will most likely be carried out to sea! Anyway, we watched and watched, and waited for some word, and suddenly the station tuned to the college basketball game already in progress.

Now I say something like: “What?” "What....a basketball game.....!!!!

Yeah, then we hear nothing. We see more pictures of the island of Tonga just south of the Figi Islands,  and watched the explosive volcano send out all those hot gases including much sulfur and how much of the land of Tonga was affected. We were amazed at the strength of the eruption and how all the island was covered with four inches of ash. Then you wonder who is alive with such a terrific blast that close and underwater,  and how would anyone get to them in that region to bring them some kind of relief!

Finally we see pictures last night, yes on Tuesday night and there is nothing but ash and no life seen. But the report out of Oregon for Seaside was a most jaw dropping, neck jerking, and awe inspired word for the journalist reported that some people of that city decided to check out the Tsunami and when they heard the blast for the WARNING, they marched toward the beach and not away from the water action coming. Yes, the Report was that if a tsunami of magnitude had occurred at that moment, it would have caused traffic jams with those trying to leave the city with those running to the ACTION just to get a look at the  BIG WAVE!

How many run to action to end up in the action and not live to tell about it? How many will not listen to instruction when there is a destructive thing occurring and can affect any coastal city on the west coast of America?  I wonder if there is any sanity left in America.

Remember, that our heart contains the motivations for what we do and why we do it. So I ask you today, is your heart healthy and instructed to know Tsunamis can kill you? Just as the body can’t function well without a healthy heart, neither can the Christian with a spiritual heart—we will be sluggish in our work, hard at hearing God’s word, and slow to recognize His presence. The consistent disciplines of the Christian faith of prayer, Bible study, and fellowship will keep our spiritual heart pumping strong toward our eternal destination.

So can you see a healthy heart is required to live long on the earth! Has anyone surrendered to know the truth of Tsunamis and how to stay out of one? But discipline is required whether you are born again unto the Lord, discipline to be taught how to raise your children, to be taught the wisdom to make it through life without meeting some devastating waves at your back door.

One of the best blessings in being a believer in Jesus Christ is the peace that rises above every life situation including Tsunamis or volcanic eruptions. While others are fretting with worry, believers have the power of the Holy Spirit to guard their hearts and minds with peace that has no human explanation. Having peace allows believers to continue to go through hardship and painful situations without regret. The key to having peace in our hearts is surrendering all our prayers to God and trusting in Him to take care of each one. We must be instructed by Him! We must be about His plan for our lives!

We have the abilities God placed in us before we were born. But we must seek out His wisdom, that purpose for our lives where His wisdom in that instruction leads us. We have this word given to us in Proverbs 17:22: “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones” . When you and I have joy in our hearts, it will spill over and out to those who are around us. We bring the medicine of cheerfulness not because every situation is great, but because God is greater than any situation like Tsunamis. Our joy is renewed as we stay in the presence of God through prayer and Bible study. The key to having a joyful heart is to keep our minds stayed on God and His grace over our lives. Things occur! Everyday there is catastrophe in the world, but we should not meditate on those things. We are to meditate on the goodness of God!

One thought of someone who would run to see the Tsunami would be a person who is ruled by their own mind and heart. It is exhibited worldwide, regardless of culture.  Those who are self-centered rather than God-centered will end up in a world of hurt.

This is due to the underlying spirit beings who are at its heart and soul, being the key elements in communicating the course of this world into humanity. One illustration or example would be seen in Genesis 1:31. Genesis 1:31 reads, "Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day." God's statement of satisfaction in all He had made at the end of the sixth day of creation includes Adam and Eve's nature, as by this time they were already created.

In the beginning, mankind’s nature is designed and designated by our Creator God. And He stated: “it was very good.” But we also find in the Genesis 3 record that the episode that began the transformation of their basic nature to the extremes of self-centeredness we witness today. Man's nature was not created evil, but it became evil through the influence of another spirit - besides God - that Adam and Eve chose to follow without any interference from their Creator.

Once they committed to that initial step, the course of this world began. It was only in the next or what was the second generation that murder had occurred (Genesis 4:8). You know Caine killed or murdered his brother Abel. And by the Flood where Noah was commanded to build a boat, that  men were so evil that they were "only evil continually" (Genesis 6:5). It is this same peak of evil toward which this world and its multiple courses are being driven. All of this takes place because of the communication, reception, and acceptance of evil concepts from an evil source.

2 Timothy 3:13  reveals a general principle still working as we "progress" toward the return of Jesus Christ: "But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." Improving character and conduct in any given culture are temporary, indeed very brief, when observed within a survey of all of man's history. Yeah, men are growing into the worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. We must pay attention to what we spend time in seeing and hearing for what we put in our hearts will certainly spill over and touch other people's lives. And hopefully what is coming out of our hearts is not folly but the wisdom of God to make right decisions.

Moral deterioration that concluded with the Flood was quickly restarted shortly after its waters receded, and it persists to this day, as each person is born into this world and exposed to the same spirit and to the variety of courses that influenced Adam and Eve and all their progeny. Because we are made of flesh, we are born with a slight pull toward self, but not with the corruption that later develops and reveals itself in our conduct. Evil is passed on by the spirit of the age through the course of this evil world. It is transferred to us through the cultures into which we are born, all of which are carnal to the core. Yeah culture rated R and XXX you might say and causes death! Yikes. You can see that on the commercials.

Was thinking about Haman and Queen Esther. Haman wanted the Jews killed. He had come into some authority with the ring of the king and he built a gallows to hang people on it. In Esther 3 Haman plots against the Jews to kill them . Mordecai persuades Esther to intervene and then Esther solicits Mordicai’s help in chapter 4. In this, it is that Modecai is exalted and Haman hates it and talks about it much with his family. Haman plots to destroy Mordecai. But by chapter 7 it is Haman who is exposed and he himself with his sons are hanged on the gallows instead. By chapter 8 the king issues a decree to stop what Haman had started. The Jews defeat their enemies.

In this world, those who serve themselves will find trouble and much hurt. It was two who worked together to commit to pray and fast for a nation. Among hostile people, the Jews survived the plans of the enemy and saw them come to nothing.

If we receive instruction to a warning of destruction, should we not take it to prayer and to another with us who will pray alongside us to see God’s plan for our lives? Or will we jet out on the horn’s notice and be met next time by a 90 foot tidal wave? It is a choice indeed and a healthy heart is required in that it hears God and knows truth to live to 120 years. If Haman had a different heart, he might have lived longer in his life on earth.

Most certainly it is mankind and those represented by Adam and Eve, who have chosen to submit to Satan, and all of their descendants, including us, have also chosen to become evil under the sway of the same evil spirit that offered our first parents the choice. This creates and accounts for "the course of this world."

Was also thinking of David, who sent by his father to take cheese and bread to his brothers and those fighting the frontlines against the Philistines. David took his father's instruction and went the way to bring some food and comfort from home. But in his going, he met Goliath who held hate for God's people. David obeyed and found a cause worth fighting. He used that of his weapons used in the field against the lion and the bear. David would be victorious for he would slay the giant and remove his head too!

Tsunamis exist in this fallen world, and those world events will play out among the evil and the just, but many will be caught in the evil schemes to catch a glimpse of a wave started by a catastrophic volcanic eruption deep in the Pacific Ocean. And many will try to soothe their ego to have their will be done and be entertained by a great splash, but then they will only be lost to the depths of their ego, the unbelief that guards their heart and holds its display that a “foolish person “ might be present.

And if you should know one, remind them that God desires them to have long life, to follow His instructions where we are disciplined. The benefits in discipline is for each of us to be immersed in the word of God, to read the Scriptures daily so that God is revealed to us and our hearts. If we want to know and enjoy life, we must know Him who created life for us. In God, the place to begin is in God’s word.

No one has to tell me that Tsunamis can kill nor can anyone tell me that earthquakes cause great damage and kills by violence. And a warning should be noted. I would rather not be in an earthquake nor a volcanic eruption, but I have been disciplined to know the “dangers” by reading and preparing since I have many volcanoes surrounding us where we live. We have viewed documentaries on T.V. to know the best action for safety and that is to get to high ground not sea level in view of a flood of tidal proportions.

Never been in a volcanic event but have been in an earthquake. Yes, more than one have I experienced. and it was not a fun time. And I would rather avoid hot gases from a belching volcano ....thank you very much!

Apart from the Bible, we cannot know what God is like. He is our Father, He has love for us and really wants to give us His wisdom for this life to live in despite of volcanoes, earthquakes, firestorms and polar blasts and heat waves! My husband and I have seen to having a healthy heart when something has gone amuck in this county, this state or country. We choose to pray and read the word of God. We choose to hear the Lord speak His instruction. And then we rehearse what is important if we are not together when an event occurs. We have planned what to do and how to get from point A to point B without many distractions and obstacles in safe and wise ways!

We must be awakened to truth, and disciplined for that which brings life. God never changes and He instituted instruction in His wisdom to live long. And we plan to do that, for His spiritual truth remains the same: yesterday, today and forever in Christ Jesus! And in Him are safe indeed, in the arms of a loving God! Amen.

The Threat of Evil

Add caption
Yes, we can see that threat of evil rear its ugly head when destruction occurs on soil that was established for freedom. But freedom is never free! It will always cost something to someone who desires to maintain it.
We saw that in what is called 9.11! In that moment of time, men of evil decided among themselves to attack a nation. They decided to take down the twin towers and among those other building as well within that area of the east coast. Yet, men and women stood up in that great hour to stop what they could to shield others from the evil attitudes of men from a foreign nation.
I have heard that some have no regard as to war on Terror, yet without the armed forces those against us would have no walls to prevent them from doing harm to those who live in this nation that I call home!  For us in America and those older than thirty would know the men and women who fought in World War 2. Some were taught in school about that war that was kept far from us. Yet, I heard recently of something that had occurred in that state of Oregon and yet I never read it in a book. Yes, it evidently was kept silent. But some children were to go out on a field trip being it was early spring one year. One such child was kept home that day, because her mother had this heaviness of heart that her daughter should not participate in this adventure. She knew not why, but she held her authority as a parent that her daughter would not be there that day.
The children had come to the place where the field trip was to begin and the leader was there. As children can sometimes do, they ran ahead of their teacher and leader. Although he, the pastor told them to wait on him, they ran yelling all the while ahead of him. And then it was a sound pierced his hearing. An explosion shook the ground and as the pastor ran to where the sound came, a horror struck him to his core. The children were all dead including his pregnant wife . The bomb sent somehow from Japan had made it to American soil and it blew as the children investigated it. It was May 5, 1945 and the headline of the local paper revealed six had been killed by the balloon bomb. It was in the area of Lakeview, Oregon where this event occurred.
As my husband and I watched this unfold, I was aware of those who survived that blast. Those who did not attend that day and those who remained after death had taken their teenage children. Where did they find help in their grief? It was to be a day outdoors and enjoy the beauty of the hills, valleys, streams and wildlife.
Did they pray before they went out? Did they pray before even leaving home that morning? Yet, I am certain much prayer went on afterwards.

Reminded of the people who ran from terror in Europe, and the land became filled with the terror himself who took his hatred to an all-time high to annihilate one group of people. There were people in leadership in England who wanted to hear peace from Hitler, and his name was Chamberlain, yet it was another leader who would see behind the façade of Hitler and his name was Winston Churchill. When we cast our brother or sister away from us, we are no longer civil. And casting the Jewish people into the hands of the hater Hitler proved fatal for many Jewish born men, women and children.
Freedom is never free and it will always cost you and me something. No matter whether we hold a political affiliation or not, whether, we only stand as conservatives with a belief in our personal responsibility, where limited government is seen, that the traditional American values and a strong national defense is acquired and continued, we will still see those times when haters appear. But when one group decide they want to lead the world in anarchy, to put others into bondage and reveal the dictates of their hearts then you find anarchists!
I cannot speak for my husband on this matter, but from my own experience I heard my dad speak many times of World War 2. And I heard the sacrifices many people made within families to send their husband and/or their sons and brothers to war that would claim their lives. My sister had a teacher in grade school whose husband was lost on the Arizona at Pearl Harbor on December 6, 1941.  She knew where his body remained and she never had the chance to say good-bye to the love of her life!
Our brother-in-law lost a dear friend, not in the rice paddies of Vietnam but to the alcohol he drank when he returned from a war no one wanted! Yes, many men and women went overseas to places that the battle would remain over there and not come to American soil. Still we see terror and it is on the streets and within people’s hearts.
For the war that rages, prayer is important. For heartache still looms on the horizon of many who have seen those wartime atrocities. They still hear the sounds within their hearing while they sit in their homes, but the wounds remains of those who saw suffering of so many when one man decides he wants to rule all with an iron fist.

Father God, we pray for our brothers and sisters who are today still suffering from emotional scars of yesterday. We know no one is immune to suffering and today we pray for the sorrow they still experience. We pray for that work to begin to today in those who served overseas. You know where they reside, in what city and state, and help them know You are there in their midst. We pray for those who returned to heartache and more pain as the soldier returned to a land where those who chose not to heed those atrocities overseas. Touch these dear ones with the comfort You provide and what they need and so require. Father God, we pray they will know that we have not forgotten them in their service for this nation we call home.
Father, John 15:13 tells us that greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s  life for ones friends. We have seen this time and time again with those who sign up to serve when others try to terrorize a group of people. Father as they were strong in that hour, we pray these dear men and women would be standing strong, being courageous as they walk towards being whole in body, soul, and spirit.
Father, we pray for healing to begin today. May people step up to tell them, these veterans of past wars what debt we owe them our veterans who fought to keep us free and because of their sacrifice, we are free to worship You our God and Father. We are free to attend church, to worship, to have a Bible, and to serve You our Father without fear of being put to death.
I am thankful for my dad, my brother-in-law and those too numerous to mention here, but they are forever on my heart and my husbands, because so many have given so much for this land.
I pray that we would not take for granted those who sacrificed so much for we know that there still remains countries where Christians are afraid of prison and even of death to speak of that belief they hold in their hearts. Our veterans are significant Father God and we thank You for each and every one. For those across this nation and around the world, those who keep the walls of peace in place, we salute their value of life and for life! Father by Your Spirit have Your way in their lives today. May they each arise and take their rightful place as heroes and may our youth know what a real hero looks like in the face of terror.
Father, we give thanks for all that You are doing in the lives of those who have given so much. May they experience the love of God in ways they have not known in Jesus name.

For those of you who have read this and live in another nation, know that we are not separate in the spirit of God. We hold fast to His truth and the words of eternal life. May your nation be free to worship God in truth. May you know the peace of Him that passes all understanding. May you be a voice to that which is given the Gospel to those who are dying without Christ. For it is in Him that we are to live, move and have our being. Without Him, you and I can do nothing, but with Him all things are possible to those who believe.

Today, we honor the true heroes of America! Today we honor those around the world, who fought for freedom so others might enjoy that freedom, because freedom is never free……..it is a great price to give whether it is man or woman and for Him who gave the great sacrifice, our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.

One Voice, One Loud, One Quiet and which Will We Hear?

John 12:27-31
Now My soul is troubled and distressed, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour [of trial and agony]? But it was this very purpose that I have come to this hour [that I might undergo it]. 28 [Rather, I will say,] glorify (honor and extol)Your [own] name! Then there came a voice out of heaven saying, I have already glorified it, and I will glorify it again. 29 The crowd of bystanders heard the sound and said that it had thundered; others said, An angel has spoken to HIM! 30 This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sake. 31 Now the judgment (crisis) of this world is coming on [sentence is now being passed on this world]. Now the ruler (evil genius, prince) of this world shall be of this world shall be cast out (expelled).

This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sake!
This spoken word is spoken right now, because it was proof by the "Father" that Jesus was the sent one, the "Messiah".
When a voice speaks words that are a comfort to those around us.........and not just to confirm us, because God has sent us to speak to the broken, the sick, the lame and see change come.
Glorify Your name God......extol YOUR name, so those who hear will know that God is glorified in this "thing" that has occurred. It is not because of any greatness in any one man, but because of the glory of God!
It is the true witness. It is that which testifies of the holy and against the profane.
And they which heard, heard a sound.
Jesus prayed a prayer!
Some heard, just like in Acts 9:7.....and Acts 22:9...  .

Exodus 19:16-25
16 Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled. 17 And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. 18 Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly. 19 And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice. 20 Then the LORD came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And the LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up. 21 And the LORD said to Moses, "Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to gaze at the LORD, and many of them perish. 22 Also let the priests who come near the LORD consecrate themselves, lest the LORD break out against them." 23 But Moses said to the LORD, "The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai; for You warned us, saying, 'Set bounds around the mountain and consecrate it.' " 24 Then the LORD said to him, "Away! Get down and then come up, you and Aaron with you. But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to the LORD, lest He break out against them." 25 So Moses went down to the people and spoke to them.   NKJV

That blast of the trumpet was the VOICE OF GOD. And it came to warn. When there is a unison of many speaking the same words at the same time, can sound like a "loud trumpet" or even "many waters".

Ezekiel  1:22-28
22 The likeness of the firmament above the heads of the living creatures was like the color of an awesome crystal, stretched out over their heads. 23 And under the firmament their wings spread out straight, one toward another. Each one had two which covered one side, and each one had two which covered the other side of the body. 24 When they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a tumult like the noise of an army; and when they stood still, they let down their wings. 25 A voice came from above the firmament that was over their heads; whenever they stood, they let down their wings.

26 And above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone; on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man high above it. 27 Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around. 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD.

So when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking. NKJV

For many, even today, it is by some unusual way they hear about Jesus for "the first time". In the passage from John 12, we have already visited the passages where Lazarus is raised from the dead. And in all those "miracles" that transpired proved Him (Jesus) to be God's Will and Word. They were to provide proof that He was to see believer's as in John 2:23; John 4:48, and in John 11:42.

In demonstration of God's power:John 5:30;John 6:38, and Hebrews 10:7.
In was to also confirm His Son-ship.......in John 5:17-19, and John 5:30-36. See also in Acts 2:32.
It was also proving that the kingdom of God was 'present" in that moment........1 Corinthians 4:20.
We were also to see the work of the Holy Spirit and His power active and operating.... Luke 4:18; John 3:34; Acts 1:4-8

So when the Jews rejected Jesus and His Son-ship, they rejected God....AND......the Salvation came to the Gentile. And in that we find that those in that region, Philip and Andrew came from, was a region where many of the Greek heritage were receptive to Jesus' teachings and they became those who would follow Jesus and help take the word of the Gospel to others. These who stood by heard the "voice" from heaven and why?

Because they knew Jesus and recognized it to be God speaking. From the Cross the world was judged and the enemy, the evil one, prince of this world was cast out. When the Lord shows up: 1. you will know Him by what He speaks ( out of the pastor, prophet, teacher who gives the word of God) 2. the voice will be of God and not man, 3 will glorify God and not man 4 will be given and ......without doubt others will see and know of that God has entered the situation, the room and He is excited to let everyone know! His Presence will be tangible in every way possible. And 5, when we leave, everyone in the room is "the comforted, " they are the supported", " they are the joyful", they are the fired up ones for God, and they move into their evening and week with a great outlook on their life that God is with them!

We can see at times when God spoke like to Elijah in the still small voice, and to others He gave the direct warning as the trumpet blast to others as we read in Exodus 19:16-25.
We can people be comforted by what we speak, what we give when reading that Holy Word.
Yes, when we think about the Triune God-head do we consider that 1/3 of that God-head resides on our hearts? Do we consider that the same God who raised Jesus from the dead, is the same who comforts us in our day, in our week, helps us make godly decisions each day?

How do we obtain that relationship?
Well, I think of Kathryn Kuhlman, who was a mighty woman for God. She had an exceptional relationship with the 3rd head of the God -Head. His name is the Holy Spirit.
We should be able to hear the "Voice", the "trumpet" giving warning," the quiet voice when maybe just tired, but we should hear them all.

In reading over her life I am so overwhelmed that one can be so taken over by the Spirit of God. Her love for God was so beautiful, was such a crucial part of who she became, and what a life of grace. The miraculous occurred because she sought the miracle worker! She honored Him and He honored her! If you have opportunity to read on one of the early Generals I would certainly read up on Kathryn Kuhlman.

So is it relationship or is is an acquaintance?
And what constitutes knowing someone personally or on that intimacy level where only the "secrets" between two are the "known"?

In getting to know our baby, when she was born, was about knowing so much about her. She was the quiet. She slept all the through the night on her second night home. She was up at 6 am every morning. I will not share her favorite foods, but by the teenage years it was cold pizza and I will not mention when she wanted to eat it. We were more than her acquaintance, we were her parents. We knew her everyday of the week and weekend. She had some friends and closest ones would call her Candy, but that was not her name. In years after she left home and went to college, some found calling her Candance as the "thing" to do!  And in meeting some of them, I am not sure why they thought they deserved the familiarity of being a friend when they only talked a couple times a week and no one had cell phones. YIKES! NO CELLS PHONES!
Yes, on a more personal level, with one having a relaxed attitude toward another person, are they satisfied because "they want others to think they know her really well" or are they doing it and happy that they do not have to know anything else about her? And if we find out something about her, is it because her mother told you from first hand experience..........or is it "heard through the grapevine, kind of thing?"Today there is that Facebook society. They will give you all kinds of info on them, but how much is really truth? If you knew each one and spent time with them will they look like that Facebook page or seem more like a stranger?
With all the new technology people are still not meeting one another. With the advantage or disadvantage of the texting idea, many can text one another from the same house, and from the same room. What?
But we cannot text God or send emails!

My grand-parents can say they went to church but that did not make them a real believer in Jesus Christ. My mother took us to church every Sunday and saw to it that we had Sunday School for the youth bible studies, but that did not make us believer's either!
Purging ourselves of that which is not needed may leave us as the ones who only know Joe and know nothing about him, like where he lives, what his occupation is or where his family lives. YOU may not can recognize "Joe" on the street. Why? Well they only text one another!!!!
I guess the best thing I have heard at "church" was this: "well, everyone is jumping in, for the Spirit is here"....and people of the congregation have no idea what the pastor is even mentioning. And in truth most attending right now have not opened a Bible in how many decades? YIKES again!

When God enters the room, we should certainly know His presence. When God is speaking.........well no one else will need to say anything for God will give all we need. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (1 Corinthians 2:9-16) But God has revealed to us through His Spirit. For it is His Spirit that searches all things, the deep things of God...........to know the things freely given to us by God. And in speaking (verse 13) by the Holy Spirit speak the wisdom of God of the spiritual things.

If I will only read and pray the word, find God and speak as the child with the Father, then I recognize what the Father is saying, whether to correct me or to encourage me. In our approach to God that is not based on any religion, but it is a "personal " relationship with the Lord.........by finding out what pleases Him and what makes Him cry.......what makes HIM laugh and want to dance.

I think of two scriptures I leave with you today:

2 Corinthians 3:17-18     17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. NIV

2 Corinthians 13:14    14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. NIV

Relationship is more than just one person talking all the time. God has much to say and when we spend time in His Word we will see how we measure up or fall really short of the mark of His Word. In the men and women of past centuries we reflect how victorious they lived life, not without mistakes BUT IN SPITE OF THEM, went on to do great things for God.  May the fruit of the Spirit that is humility be that which others will see and begin to know in us. For where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. We who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory and are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. And May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you and with me.
May we, like children, humble ourselves and expect to hear from our Father as the Father to His son and the son to the Father. Amen.
