You and I are not in a "boat" with those who blast leaders of "their" country. You and I are not in a "boat" with those who sit around on soft couches and huddle to discuss Covid-19 and all its possible effects on you. You and I are not in a "boat with "fear-mongers"!
No thank you, I am not in that "boat"! Our focus of faith is a faith that knows in whom one has believed and trusted in, that faith of knowing Jesus who is that Author and Finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2) I focus on Him and not the Promise. But I will make mention of that promised given me that no evil befalls me or mine! I focus on Him who rose from the dead and is seated "now" in heavenly places making intercession for me and you, if you believe right now!
You and I are to have that "bull-dog" faith, a vital faith that rests in Him and not on humanity. In 2 Timothy 1:6-7 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and a sound mind.
That sound mind consists of one with the ability from God to make the right decisions in regard to qualities of self-control and of self-discipline.
It is used when things like trials and tribulations appear. It will not look like someone acting out of "fear"!
God's power thoughts guard our mind when we choose to place them in our heart and remind Him we hold them. No, He does not forget we hold them, but it is certain He desires to hear and I am certain that this very thing brings pleasure to Him that His children sound and act like Him!
1 Corinthians 1:4-9 NKJV I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, 5 that you were enriched in every thing by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, 6 even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, 7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, 8 who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom were called in the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
No one and I mean no one person is ever impoverished by becoming a Christian. In the realm of the spiritual, that joy is given. It is that cheerful delight. It comes because of God's grace. It is a divine gratuity.
In the household of faith, Whoever believes that Jesus is the
Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who
is begotten of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we
love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep
His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whatever is
born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the
world----our faith. ( 1 John 5:1-4)
Faith is
what overcomes and it is Christ Jesus! We are to activate spiritual weapons and
not those silly carnal ones. 2
Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war
according to the flesh, 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but
mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every
high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every
thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish
all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Behind
every stronghold is a lie----a place of personal bondage where God’s word has
been dominated or controlled to an un-scriptural idea or personally confused
belief that is held true. Behind this lie is fear and behind the fear is an
idol!
Idols are
established wherever there exists a failure to trust in the provisions of God
that are ours through Jesus Christ. To pull them down: we must use the word of
God: Hebrews 4:12-13 . We must use the Blood of Jesus at
the Cross: Revelation 12:11 and we must pull down strongholds speaking the name
of Jesus: Mark 16:17!
You and I
reside in the spiritual of God to combat both the temptations and the
persecutions of a godless society. Our spiritual authority comes through God
alone :Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authority. For
there is no authority except from God,
and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Jesus did not come just for His family …He came for us who would
believe in His name and receive Him by faith.
In this day and time, we can
certainly tell of those who choose to live not by faith but by the amount of
cash they have in hand and by the title in front of their name to get “said”
products to save their family from Covid-19! No their family members do not have "the virus", but they want to have the drug on hand just in case they need it.
My husband and I heard of this
report of a woman with Lupus. She has had it many years, and because of that
malaria drug, she has been able to get strength back in her body to become a
business leader in her community. While taking this hydroxycholoroquine ( used
many decades for cases of Malaria especially in Africa), this drug has helped
this young woman and millions of others world-wide to live an almost normal life till the
last three weeks when the word went out this “very drug” was curing those with
Covid-19.
In the recent week, the word in news sources is that doctors in this
country including dentists are writing prescriptions for this drug with their
family name on it. ( We heard this on Chris Salcedo on Newmax: Friday, March 27, 2020 at the hour of 2-3 pm Pacific time)
Point being that the number of those who are doing this has caused a 300 percent spike in needed drug to keep a supply to those who really need it for Lupus and have used it consistently to live that "normal" life for decades. Whether they know Jesus is not certain, but those who do and continue to do and act out in this kind of active child like behavior should consider what “boat they are in” and if Jesus is with them in the tribulation or are they out there doing their own thing by their own devices to take what someone really needs to live this day and have opportunity to know Jesus!

This came close to home in this news
alert today for my own grandmother passed away from Lupus back in the mid-1970’s
and they had no idea what to give her to help her at that time. And yes, she knew Jesus and she
regularly read His word.
Point is: are we really choosing to
love others to live by faith in Jesus, or living by our faith in ourselves
because Jesus cannot be found among us???
Matthew 1:23 NKJV Behold, the virgin shall be
with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, “God with
us”…: Those of the household of faith, have God with them. We are to meditate on
His being with us, being mindful of the love He has for us and live like we
know it in our hearts!
To Know the
love of Christ and be rooted in that love….not in an intellectual way or of a
theological knowledge but we participate in His blessing because we are a child
of God. In any situation, you and I are to give reverence to Him in all situations
relating to people around us. In every word we speak, and in every step we take
we will either glorify Him or speak nothing of Him.
It is not
your title nor your ethnic or family pedigree that makes one acceptable to God
but only by honoring God by believing in, trusting fully, and loving Jesus Christ, more than
diseases, and money in your account and statutes created for your praise or even for your status!
Our
position as a member of the household of God is found in Ephesians 2:8-13! For by grace you ( I) have been saved through
faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest
anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for
good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. 11
Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh---who are called
Un-circumcision by what is called Circumcision made in the flesh by hands---12
that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth
of Israel and strangers from the covenant of promise, having no hope and
without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off
have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Those
resurrected by the New Birth have left the “old man” behind. They are dead to
the old way of living and doing. In this new state we are those who are
resurrected in spirit and transformed in our moral essence. We are set for good works! Our mood or manner is
not to be shaped or developed by the spirit of this world. For the prince of the
power of the air exercises his influence not only globally but also culturally.
For the boundary set for those in Jesus Christ are those who are obedient to
love our neighbor as ourselves. Grace was revealed and in us it appears as true
order, and yes, it is that peace on earth in those who believe! It is "the authentic" filled with the joy of the Lord
that is our strength and not by stealing from others.
Be careful
if you are climbing into a boat, or if you are in a "boat"….better make sure Jesus is in it with you and not the world!
