The Threat of Evil

Add caption
Yes, we can see that threat of evil rear its ugly head when destruction occurs on soil that was established for freedom. But freedom is never free! It will always cost something to someone who desires to maintain it.
We saw that in what is called 9.11! In that moment of time, men of evil decided among themselves to attack a nation. They decided to take down the twin towers and among those other building as well within that area of the east coast. Yet, men and women stood up in that great hour to stop what they could to shield others from the evil attitudes of men from a foreign nation.
I have heard that some have no regard as to war on Terror, yet without the armed forces those against us would have no walls to prevent them from doing harm to those who live in this nation that I call home!  For us in America and those older than thirty would know the men and women who fought in World War 2. Some were taught in school about that war that was kept far from us. Yet, I heard recently of something that had occurred in that state of Oregon and yet I never read it in a book. Yes, it evidently was kept silent. But some children were to go out on a field trip being it was early spring one year. One such child was kept home that day, because her mother had this heaviness of heart that her daughter should not participate in this adventure. She knew not why, but she held her authority as a parent that her daughter would not be there that day.
The children had come to the place where the field trip was to begin and the leader was there. As children can sometimes do, they ran ahead of their teacher and leader. Although he, the pastor told them to wait on him, they ran yelling all the while ahead of him. And then it was a sound pierced his hearing. An explosion shook the ground and as the pastor ran to where the sound came, a horror struck him to his core. The children were all dead including his pregnant wife . The bomb sent somehow from Japan had made it to American soil and it blew as the children investigated it. It was May 5, 1945 and the headline of the local paper revealed six had been killed by the balloon bomb. It was in the area of Lakeview, Oregon where this event occurred.
As my husband and I watched this unfold, I was aware of those who survived that blast. Those who did not attend that day and those who remained after death had taken their teenage children. Where did they find help in their grief? It was to be a day outdoors and enjoy the beauty of the hills, valleys, streams and wildlife.
Did they pray before they went out? Did they pray before even leaving home that morning? Yet, I am certain much prayer went on afterwards.

Reminded of the people who ran from terror in Europe, and the land became filled with the terror himself who took his hatred to an all-time high to annihilate one group of people. There were people in leadership in England who wanted to hear peace from Hitler, and his name was Chamberlain, yet it was another leader who would see behind the façade of Hitler and his name was Winston Churchill. When we cast our brother or sister away from us, we are no longer civil. And casting the Jewish people into the hands of the hater Hitler proved fatal for many Jewish born men, women and children.
Freedom is never free and it will always cost you and me something. No matter whether we hold a political affiliation or not, whether, we only stand as conservatives with a belief in our personal responsibility, where limited government is seen, that the traditional American values and a strong national defense is acquired and continued, we will still see those times when haters appear. But when one group decide they want to lead the world in anarchy, to put others into bondage and reveal the dictates of their hearts then you find anarchists!
I cannot speak for my husband on this matter, but from my own experience I heard my dad speak many times of World War 2. And I heard the sacrifices many people made within families to send their husband and/or their sons and brothers to war that would claim their lives. My sister had a teacher in grade school whose husband was lost on the Arizona at Pearl Harbor on December 6, 1941.  She knew where his body remained and she never had the chance to say good-bye to the love of her life!
Our brother-in-law lost a dear friend, not in the rice paddies of Vietnam but to the alcohol he drank when he returned from a war no one wanted! Yes, many men and women went overseas to places that the battle would remain over there and not come to American soil. Still we see terror and it is on the streets and within people’s hearts.
For the war that rages, prayer is important. For heartache still looms on the horizon of many who have seen those wartime atrocities. They still hear the sounds within their hearing while they sit in their homes, but the wounds remains of those who saw suffering of so many when one man decides he wants to rule all with an iron fist.

Father God, we pray for our brothers and sisters who are today still suffering from emotional scars of yesterday. We know no one is immune to suffering and today we pray for the sorrow they still experience. We pray for that work to begin to today in those who served overseas. You know where they reside, in what city and state, and help them know You are there in their midst. We pray for those who returned to heartache and more pain as the soldier returned to a land where those who chose not to heed those atrocities overseas. Touch these dear ones with the comfort You provide and what they need and so require. Father God, we pray they will know that we have not forgotten them in their service for this nation we call home.
Father, John 15:13 tells us that greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s  life for ones friends. We have seen this time and time again with those who sign up to serve when others try to terrorize a group of people. Father as they were strong in that hour, we pray these dear men and women would be standing strong, being courageous as they walk towards being whole in body, soul, and spirit.
Father, we pray for healing to begin today. May people step up to tell them, these veterans of past wars what debt we owe them our veterans who fought to keep us free and because of their sacrifice, we are free to worship You our God and Father. We are free to attend church, to worship, to have a Bible, and to serve You our Father without fear of being put to death.
I am thankful for my dad, my brother-in-law and those too numerous to mention here, but they are forever on my heart and my husbands, because so many have given so much for this land.
I pray that we would not take for granted those who sacrificed so much for we know that there still remains countries where Christians are afraid of prison and even of death to speak of that belief they hold in their hearts. Our veterans are significant Father God and we thank You for each and every one. For those across this nation and around the world, those who keep the walls of peace in place, we salute their value of life and for life! Father by Your Spirit have Your way in their lives today. May they each arise and take their rightful place as heroes and may our youth know what a real hero looks like in the face of terror.
Father, we give thanks for all that You are doing in the lives of those who have given so much. May they experience the love of God in ways they have not known in Jesus name.

For those of you who have read this and live in another nation, know that we are not separate in the spirit of God. We hold fast to His truth and the words of eternal life. May your nation be free to worship God in truth. May you know the peace of Him that passes all understanding. May you be a voice to that which is given the Gospel to those who are dying without Christ. For it is in Him that we are to live, move and have our being. Without Him, you and I can do nothing, but with Him all things are possible to those who believe.

Today, we honor the true heroes of America! Today we honor those around the world, who fought for freedom so others might enjoy that freedom, because freedom is never free……..it is a great price to give whether it is man or woman and for Him who gave the great sacrifice, our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.

No Pleasure in Understanding

Jesus is Returning!
Found in the book of Proverbs is this: Prov. 18:2 ESV  A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.
In today's media highways, journalism does not exist for the most part, but certainly opinions are running rampant. I remember those like Edward R. Murrow who carved a way into making truth known of what was going on in the world, integrity in the marketplace and decisions made that were based more on truth and not on fallacy.
Today, people make-up the news and no two networks will carry the same information. Yikes! Other than One America News, I find some news channels trying to commercialize the news to make more money by creating and passing out lies that can be sold for a high premium.

Truth comes from God and Him alone. We abide in Him to see His kingdom come to earth as it is in Heaven. In His plan or purpose for us .....the family would join to Him and His instruction. The family will be taught by Him, and will rule with Jesus when He returns to take His throne in Jerusalem.
If we truly seek to know truth, then we know a cost is involved. Jesus paid the ULTIMATE price for truth. He gave His blood....to be shed for mankind ..........giving opportunity for others to be a part of His family.
When He returns it will not be about who is right or wrong but where truth abides. Proverbs 12:19 reveals this:  NKJV 19 The truthful lip shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment. 20 Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but counselors of peace have joy.

Proverbs 12:22 NKJV Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.
It is God's righteousness in us that will guard us through life from the scheme's of the devil. Because life will afflict something to the pilgrim passing through this lifetime. But our home is to be with the Lord.
We are to be where He is. John 14:3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am , there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.  John 12:26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.

Those trustworthy are given the platform for truth; so too, those who speak lies have one as well. We must know which is the truth and the only way to that is knowing God and relating to Him daily as your Father. We must have that one to one to know what His heart is.

I know in this day that many have been abused by their parents in some way or form. Still we can have the relationship God intends when we look at the life of Jesus and His willingness to obey the Father in all circumstances of His life.

YES, there are those who have no pleasure in understanding. They have a life that dictates entitlements. They speak out by interrupting others, they are given grand presents before they even know the price of those grand things. Had read an article this morning that preschool children are having parties (birthday & other) that represent the price tag of a grand wedding.
The same article also mentioned that middle school age children are taking out  rented limousines for their dates....What????
Who is footing the bill? The other thing we should think about is when teaching our children, that rules are to be followed and not broken. Heard recently that most teens and twenty -somethings regard rules as some kind of guideline but you do not have to do it.
Is that right? So it is okay not to study for a driver's test to gain a driver's license to drive legally on the roadways......so any young person can take someone's vehicle and use it as a weapon against others, because in their opinion they did not need that license and without studying it, they have vision of truth in driving. They have no pleasure in understanding!

We are told that understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it, but correction of fools is folly. The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips. (Proverbs 16:22-23) He who heeds the word wisely will find good, and whoever trusts in the LORD happy is he. 21 the wise in heart will be called prudent, and sweetness of the lips increases learning. (Proverbs 16:20-21)

1 John 5:18-21 NKJV 18 We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. 19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. 20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

The devil had no pleasure in understanding. He operated in pride and lust and fell to earth. So the whole earth is under his rule! (for a short time) Still we should want to know truth and that which is of God and His righteousness. When we abide in Him and walk righteously before Him, we hold to Him and His truth for our lives and our children's lives. Separate from that which is idolatry and serving the world: chasing the quick wealth, the quick party entertainment circle, the quick gratification  for there you will only find emptiness and sorrow!
We must labor for that which is life to us and for others..to know God and tell others of the love from Him through His Son Jesus.!
Truly Jesus was the seed planted for mankind that others might come to know God the way Jesus taught in the relationship with HIM!

For even the farmer must work to put his seed in the ground, nourish the soil with needed minerals and water to see his seed to produce a crop. It takes the farmer hours upon hours of sweat, labor and much duty to those seeds to see them come to harvest.
Those who have seen labor and receive that check know so well that which goes into getting that check whether weekly or one time monthly. There is no entitlements! If you put no effort into working with your hands, put no effort into working with other individuals but only partying....with them...that is the only seed you will have a harvest from.........and you really need life through Jesus Christ and not Party Central!

There is a day coming when all eyes will see HIM who they crucified and many will flee to hide themselves in the mountains. Yes, Jesus is returning.....not the Jesus who walked the shores of Galilee but the King of Kings is returning.....and He is described in Revelation!
Revelation 1:12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice was the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged word, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, " I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen.
He is coming in His priestly royalty....not as one of the superheroes like spider-man or some hulking kind of thing, but of God! Surely we should keep to His truth and that walk of life that is truth where there is no shadow of turning.....James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turned. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first -fruits of His creatures.
Our God is the SOURCE of all good! In taking His instruction we become more like Him. We are to bear the image of our Father who created us and not the image of the world, that has no pleasure in understanding, demanding their own ways and opinions, relishing in moments of rash hysteria in amusement when eternity is on the line.
Seeking truth, we will be found with truth and that is in God alone!

That FOOTSTOOL

Isaiah  66:1-2
66:1 This is what the LORD says:

"Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me?
Where will my resting place be?
2 Has not my hand made all these things,
and so they came into being?"
declares the LORD. NIV

In understanding the Creator, heaven is where He rests on His throne. The earth is where He has placed His foot,
These things, both heaven and earth were made by Him. It was of His plan. Man could never reach that place to build something that would be so grand to impress. But all that God asks is for the self-denying, the very serious person who has the intent to be humble before Him, and to tremble at His Word.

As the stool represents where He places His feet........might we consider when we need to put our feet on that stool to reach something.
In remembering our grand-daughter and her small stature as a two year old, I hold the thought of how a little blue step stool help her reach the bathroom sink to wash her hands. I think how it was kept close by the sink, as she would rise to meet that sink, and to work toothpaste over every small baby tooth she had in her sweet little head. Always pleased with herself, she would parade before all with the accomplishment she had done a good thing for her body and self.

Was thinking of the delivery stool used by the Hebrew women midwives.
Exodus 1:15-18
15 The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, whose names were Shiphrah and Puah, 16 "When you help the Hebrew women in childbirth and observe them on the delivery stool, if it is a boy, kill him; but if it is a girl, let her live." 17 The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live. 18 Then the king of Egypt summoned the midwives and asked them, "Why have you done this? Why have you let the boys live?"   NIV

A stool was used to deliver one. It was an article of furniture that help the women do their job. For our grand-daughter it was helped to see from another vantage point. She was raised a foot off the ground to see over the sink area. Her vision expanded to see another place from another vantage point.
In seeing from God's view, we need to keep moving and not relax here on earth. We will rest and find peace, but the optimum word is that He placed His feet there as a stool. All was well beneath Him!

Matthew 5:33-37
33 Again, you have heard that it was said to the men of old, You shall not swear falsely, but you will perform your oaths to the Lord [as a religion duty]. 34 But I tell you, Do not bind yourselves by an oath at all either by heaven, for it is the throne of God; 35 Or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. 36 and do not swear by your head, for you are not able to make a single hair white or black 37 Let your Yes be simply Yes, and your No,  be simply No; anything more than that comes from the evil one. Yikes!

Things are meant to help us, to give us an advantage. He made the earth and placed His foot on what belongs to Him. The earth is truly small compared to the glory of God the Creator who is to be honored for what He has done.

Our grand-daughter does not need that stool anymore. She has grown taller and has learned a lot about trusting the Creator to help her see.
She used to be led out to the park area to play. Today she leads others out. She points to those things that has for the time captured her attention, yet while she grows, she will remember that God rests His feet on the stool Quinn calls home. She will remember who He is, and What He did to bring Jesus to her for salvation.
She has parents directing her into learning some things she must know. She exercises her body, makes a way for others to be blessed when she outgrows those fairly new clothes, and she prays.
She is shown new things and to always look up. She is reminded that Jesus is returning and we are to be ready for His return to earth. Yes, the footstool is the place for our feet and they are to be about His business and to please Him.

Our continued hope is that she grow in that which is of God and where God rests. It is our diligence to speak truth of Him and His Spirit to that extent she can see Him creating the new for her to walk when she gives her heart whole heart to Him.
As the child, she was shown things like the the stool which raised her higher, and helped her to see from another vantage point.
Her security is not in the stool itself but in He Who first CREATED! That foot stool represents the sure place where there is an unshakable confidence that God will provide that stool when we will be required to see Him and what He is doing for us. In asking to see Him, our grand-daughter will be given the right "stool" at the right time for what she is seeking and how it will work in her life.

In the vastness of God and His throne in heaven, we must understand that God did not create us in His image with no higher purpose that just to consume some food to live. But we are to live with the convenience that the foot stool might represent as in hiking up a mountain to take a look at His majesty in those great hills, or just to see through the most sophisticated equipment to see out past the stars, and yes, that stool is found in His very word. It will help us see and find the stool to stand and and help us reach.  When we reach for His Word, He helps us to stand in even the most uneven of places.
According to Habakkuk 3:19...it is the Sovereign LORD who is my strength. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.

Whatever our grand-daughter's life brings, or even ours, we look up in awe. We expect the Lord's return. And we keep in our heart, that God is near us. He is ever mindful of us and that we walk where He created.
May we always keep seeking, keep reaching, and find that necessary stool of His Word to help us see past ourselves, and look into His divinity that is of holiness, is without blame and full of grace to walk in places we only dreamed.
Our God is ever present with us. Jesus came to set us free. No longer captives, we walk before our God with a humble heart. Our steps are to have that standard of the word of God that is the blameless walk. Isaiah 52:7...How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who publishes peace, who brings good tidings of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns!
Hark you seekers, those who find the footstool to seek.........lift up your voices, together they sing for joy; for they shall see eye to eye the return of the Lord to Zion. Amen!

A Spiritual Success!

Proverbs 2:1-9...........My son, if you receive my words,
And treasure my commands within you,
2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
4 If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will understand the fear of the LORD,
And find the knowledge of God.
6 For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
8 He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
Equity and every good path.   NKJV

You can find all kinds of T.V. shows and movies hinging on the supernatural. It is something that some people want to run to and experience. In today's society, you can still see mediums being guests on talk shows!
You can find shows depicting movements pertaining to ghosts, or unidentified flying objects.

In king Saul's time, we see him going to talk to the dead. He desires to summon Samuel the prophet who has passed....( he seeks a medium).. .............1 Samuel 28:7-19......
7 Then Saul said to his servants, "Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at En Dor." 8 So Saul disguised himself and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said, "Please conduct a seance for me, and bring up for me the one I shall name to you." 9 Then the woman said to him, "Look, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the spiritists from the land. Why then do you lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?" 10 And Saul swore to her by the LORD, saying, "As the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing." 11 Then the woman said, "Whom shall I bring up for you?" And he said, "Bring up Samuel for me." 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman spoke to Saul, saying, "Why have you deceived me? For you are Saul!" 13 And the king said to her, "Do not be afraid. What did you see?" And the woman said to Saul, "I saw a spirit ascending out of the earth." 14 So he said to her, "What is his form?" And she said, "An old man is coming up, and he is covered with a mantle." And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground and bowed down.

15 Now Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" And Saul answered, "I am deeply distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may reveal to me what I should do." 16 Then Samuel said: "Why then do you ask me, seeing the LORD has departed from you and has become your enemy? 17 And the LORD has done for Himself as He spoke by me. For the LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, David. 18 Because you did not obey the voice of the LORD nor execute His fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore the LORD has done this thing to you this day. 19 Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with you into the hand of the Philistines. And tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. The LORD will also deliver the army of Israel into the hand of the Philistines."   NKJV

Yes, people desire answers and they want them now! And remember Saul was told by the prophet Samuel, that in 1 Samuel 15 and verses 27-29....that kingdom was torn from Saul and that it was given to a neighbor, " one better than you". Samuel went on to say, "He who is the Glory of Israel down not lie or change his mind; for he is not a man, that he should change his mind."
And by verse 34, we are told Samuel went to see Saul no more! The whole kingdom torn from his disobedience. He was much like a two year old, not liking what he heard, so he goes to another to hear what he wants to hear. ( he wants what his heart wants) (he liked the kingship and all the fanfare with it.......looking good to the world but not obeying God's commands.)

It is interesting that there is no one book on sale today that can help us the way the Bible can. For we know that "all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness......that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The supernatural from that of Proverbs 2:1-9 only takes a crying out to God. Every time we pick up the Bible and find a scripture verse or passage, we should be crying out to God for His wisdom, strength and guidance on any and every situation we are facing. Each time we read a verse or passage, we should seek His voice on it!
I just posted a blog on the rejoicing heart......"Just Be You".....and one of the scripture verses was found in Proverbs 23:15-16. (it is important to always be rejoicing in the Lord)

Proverbs 23:15-16   .........15 My son, if your heart is wise,
My heart will rejoice--indeed, I myself;
16 Yes, my inmost being will rejoice
When your lips speak right things.    NKJV

IN THIS verse the person, Solomon is speaking to his son. And Solomon tells him that, "his heart will rejoice"----indeed, Solomon, himself, Yes, his inmost being will rejoice when the son speaks right things.
Speaking right things, rejoices our heart. Then should not our hearts be rejoicing daily, and if they are not doing that, then why not? Are we not speaking the same that God speaks?
But we can find those who say,"well, I am not happy".....or " I am not satisfied".

There are times we are tired and will just turn on the T.V. to distract, but the truth is that any and everything being broadcast on the T.V. is going into your eargate. Everything we watch will go into our eyegate. We are to guard and keep that which God has placed in us. We are to BE people who guard that we keep Jesus seated on the throne of our hearts.

Remember about the leaven......?  .....Luke 12:1-3................12:1 In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2 For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. 3 Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.  NKJV

hypocrisy: a claim to moral standards and or a belief which is not confirmed by one' behavior
.........empty talk, pretense, cant, deceit, falseness, dishonesty
cant: to talk, a whining when begging for something.....yikes!

If we get the things of the world mixed in with God's words then we have a problem. Jesus said the leaven of the Pharisees was hypocrisy. How many see that today in the world? They are right and you are wrong! The talk today is empty, dishonest, and above all deceitful! Lies. Lies. Lies.

We saw this with king Saul. He was raised up to a kingly rule because man wanted a king. So God had Samuel the prophet anoint him king. God had to change his heart to rule!

1 Samuel 10:9-11...........9 As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed Saul's heart, and all these signs were fulfilled that day. 10 When they arrived at Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; the Spirit of God came upon him in power, and he joined in their prophesying. 11 When all those who had formerly known him saw him prophesying with the prophets, they asked each other, "What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?" .NIV

And when God changes your heart..........others will take notice! In verse 11 of 1 Samuel 10, we see that all those who had formerly known him, (Saul) saw him prophesying with the prophets, and they asked each other, "what is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?"
Others noticed that Saul had changed. He was now spending time with the prophets!
But we know that Saul got into so much stuff and always seemed to be out of order and not wanting to be patient about any matter he was facing. Sounds a lot like people today. They think they know better than anyone and they need the "fix" right now! They want the solution or answer even though it took years to get to today.......and so we must consider that it make take more than 3 minutes to get this "matter" solved. If it is illness or weakness in the body, it will take more that a 5-minute fix to solve the problem!

If you eat the wrong food for many years, like hamburgers and fries, and other fried foods for too long......one can suffer serious problems that may require surgery or may be so bad to require a whole new heart. If someone spends more money than they bring in, then they will surely be in a fix before too long. And they will need MORE money to pay for that which they borrowed like on credit cards. People develop a certain lifestyle and want to retain it even in harsh economical times!
It was like the lady who lost her savings in the 2007-2008 Global Economic Crisis. The September 29, 2008 financial crisis touched America! She still wanted to spend money for just stuff, and she used her credit card for groceries. After six months of doing this, she owed more on her card than what her house was worth. Sad but true............BUT GOD HAS THE ANSWER!

Our spiritual success comes when we pay attention and adhere to the wisdom of God. It is found in the Word He inspired. When we treasure his commands within us.........hold onto them and speak them, and incline our ears to HEAR His wisdom........to make an application of our hearts to understand........to perceive, to recognize, to appreciate.............AND CRY OUT FOR DISCERNMENT........LIFTING UP OUR VOICE .........GETTING LOUD ABOUT THE THINGS OF GOD..........LORD, HELP ME, seeking Him daily, and God shows up in our lives in a big way! I want to know wisdom and operate in YOUR wisdom God!

If we seek His word as we would for silver and search.......for that hidden treasure, we find that which will bring much ease and peace to our lives!
Have you ever gone on a treasure hunt? They can be lots of fun with the excitement and taking each message or clue and search for the next clue, right ?  Our son-in-law has done some planning on treasure hunts for the youth and in truth did one back in 2012 for those who went to the beach on the coast of Oregon for a Youth Retreat from church. (it was for the teens) He has worked on some for the very young like ages 3-5 years of age and has even done some for the children at church this summer.   He plans on what to write in the verse for the person to read, so they will find the direction or course they need to go and seek to find that "treasure". Then he plans each point (or address) for each point to arrive at and read the next instruction to know the next direction.
He always create those that will teach the things of God!
It can take some time, but is fun AND in the end for you come back with the prize. Much like that treasure hunt, we too, can find the course set before us........we gain the wisdom of God and have His knowledge concerning anything you or I may face. YOU will find you walk uprightly, not seeking your own justice your way, BUT RECEIVING GOD'S JUSTICE......AS HE PRESERVES YOUR WALK WITH HIM,  He becomes our shield and guards the path of justice for us! AND WE GAIN THE PRIZE OF LOOKING AND SOUNDING SO GOOD! Those who go after God's wisdom are those who speak and act different than the world.

That justice goes above and beyond the law courts of everyday life.

Psalm 82:1-8......82:1 God stands up to open heaven's court. He pronounces judgment on the judges.
2 How long will you judges refuse to listen to the evidence? How long will you shower special favors on the wicked? 3 Give fair judgment to the poor man, the afflicted, the fatherless, the destitute. 4 Rescue the poor and helpless from the grasp of evil men. 5 But you are so foolish and so ignorant! Because you are in darkness, all the foundations of society are shaken to the core. 6 I have called you all "gods" and "sons of the Most High." 7 But in death you are mere men. You will fall as any prince-for all must die.
8 Stand up  O God, and judge the earth. For all of it belongs to you. All nations are in your hands.   TLB

Proverbs 21:15.............15 It is a joy for the just to do justice,   But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.   NKJV

Proverbs 29:26........26 Many seek the ruler's favor,  But justice for man comes from the LORD.
NKJV

Being that spiritual success, is going after the "treasure". It is recognizing Jesus and truth!
Yes, people need answers and they can be found in the wisdom of God.
Our crying out should be for the word that brings truth into our lives. We should be crying out for that wisdom, strength and guidance we need. For when we truly have His word in us, we have rejoicing hearts. Jesus can be found there. And we are noted to being those with a wise heart!
Let us turn away from that of the Pharisees and Saul. Let us turn from being self-absorbed. God will change our hearts and soften them to love others as we love ourselves.
When we continue to search for that treasure, we find the word comes to our door.......of our heart. "Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops."

Walking in the way of justice brings joy into our hearts and lives. And it is the Lord's justice that we desire.  Now is the time to say no more to the work of the devil and those who would follow him.

John 8:43-47............. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? 47 He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."     NIV

We certainly do not want our native language to be that of the devil. But before the rebirth, we certainly were in that place of doing and speaking, were we not? IN TRUTH, before our rebirth, we sounded a whole lot like the world.
Our crying out should be about the goodness of God and for His wisdom. We should not be crying out because of some "bad report"........for they do come. But how will the Lord find us when He comes for us.........will He find us diligently seeking His treasure that He has for us or will we be like a king Saul looking for a medium? Will we look like a Pharisee and not recognize that Jesus is coming? Will the answers come to us who knows God and spends time with Him, or will we reject the godly person and seek someone with ESP or psychic abilities?
Will we choose to be rejoicing in the heart like Proverbs 23:16 states........to speak right things always?
For when we do, we find justice on the pathway we walk. We walk in the spiritual realm and abide in God who is Spirit. We should be those who keep Jesus seated on our hearts.
And always remember that what you speak in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops!( Luke 12:3 )

Father, you know the oppression in the land today.  We desire to not be taken out, but how we might pray and speak as YOU would direct us into the treasure of Your wisdom and strength. Father, whoever would contend with us, You say that YOU will contend with them. You give safety to all who are seeking You and Your wisdom for the tomorrows we face. You desire us to be a spiritual success. You desire us to abide in You and Jesus. For those who do not know You today, we pray for their hearts to be turned to Jesus. We command all negative talking against God's people and this nation be stopped now!
For any who speak as false prophets, or those masquerading as those of Christ, may they be found out for what they truly are. For satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. (2 Cor.11: 14) For any of those who speak as the devil speaks, we pray to recognize them for their acts against the righteous.
Father, we desire to be those who stay close and hear Your direction and plan. Help us to take the needed steps forward knowing You are with us. Lord, the Word has taught us that when justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous, but terror to evildoers. (Prov. 21:15)  We desire to have a rejoicing heart speaking right things, and those are found in Your Word. It is wisdom that leads us. Our changed life has come through repentance. And that meaning is to us a "a changed mind"! We seek to grow, so we can see more fruit and change in our lives. We desire truth in the inward part as You do for it is stated: "surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place. (Psalm 51:6)
Hallelujah for change! May we exhibit the fruit in a changed life with a genuine repentance for we know it comes by looking at Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith! Oh, it is in His holy name we pray. Amen.

QUESTIONING GOD'S WORD...Yikes!

What.....question what God has said?

Genesis 3:1-8...............3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?" 2 And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.' " 4 Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. 8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. NKJV

CHALLENGING GOD'S AUTHORITY...

It is God's authority we see being challenged in Genesis and chapter 3. It was a challenge to Eve. And guess who asked the question? In the context, we find the question......"did God really say that?" (Genesis 3:1) and the second was.............."God did not mean what He said." Then the added.............."you will not die if you eat from the tree." (Genesis 3:5)
How are we holding up against the onslaught of the enemy? Do we hold fast to what God has given us as instruction or do we hold on to the tradition's of man? It can come in the bad report of sickness or even something that appears to cause death to the body. It can be in relationships with others, and in the form that families are torn apart by divorce or death. It can come in the form of someone  losing that job they need to pay bills or even in cuts in wages and in hours on the job. So what we do with said information determines our outcome! Eve took the apple to Adam and the problems mounted against them.

God gave a command and expected those to follow those rules for life.

We are told this word of God will judge us!
Psalm 96:13............13 For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth.
He shall judge the world with righteousness,
And the peoples with His truth.  NKJV

judge: shaphat (shaw-fat') to judge.........pronounce a sentence against
OT: 8199.......execute as in judgment, reason, rule

shaphat (shaw-fat'); a primitive root; to judge, to pronounce a sentence ( either for or against); to vindicate/punish; by extension, to govern; passively

Psalm 9:8......8 He shall judge the world in righteousness,
And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.  NKJV

Psalm 72:1-4..........72:1....Give the king Your judgments, O God,
And Your righteousness to the king's Son.
2 He will judge Your people with righteousness,
And Your poor with justice.
3 The mountains will bring peace to the people,
And the little hills, by righteousness.
4 He will bring justice to the poor of the people;
He will save the children of the needy,
And will break in pieces the oppressor. NKJV

The Lord is coming and He is going to judge. And what does He judge? He judges our hearts!
Jesus came to break in pieces the oppressor.

1 Kings 3:5-9........... 6 And Solomon said: "You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 Now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. 9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?" NKJV

Even King Solomon asked for an understanding heart to judge.........to discern between good and evil!

Genesis 2:15-17........15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."  NKJV

It was a plain command. "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day you eat of it you shall surely die."

As we look to the Word and hear the report of the world, certainly we are witnesses to a time of strength and prosperity, but on the opposite side is the upheaval in violent exhibitions, oppression in the most severe hostile and threatening forces on another and injustice to one's right seems to be at an all time high rating.
From reading in the Old Testament, human nature in all respects as not changed. But today, with the great technology overtaking every avenue of invention from hundreds of years ago, the moral question comes to mind. We clearly see people inventing new ways to sin and take more people with them to sin! With all this great technology, we are seeing the continual rise of people being irresponsible in regards to other people, their safety and peace. It appears that humanism, that exalting man over God has risen. As we saw with Israel, that country arrived in a place of captivity.

No truly God has to remain first and only in our hearts!
We have to remain faithful to plant God's word deep into our hearts and keep the unwanted weeds out like those of poison to our lives. Are we wanting to trade our eternal life for a moment of pleasure, of partying instead of pursuing Him, and to have a conduct that is much like being holy toward God and His things? In regard to not touching something He tells us to leave alone, will we want to do like Eve and partake to our ruin?
God wants us to have fun, but not to the extent of losing our souls.
I think of the Word like that cleaning soap for stains. You put or spray a spot cleaner on the spot or area stained, and then work it through, but the wash is still coming for that garment. You have to clean it with regular detergent and rinse it. You have to dry it, but ultimately you will wear that garment again and have to wash it again. So too, we have to keep that Word going through us, not just a peek at the Word of God and go, but actually jump into that solution God has waiting to answer the dilemma or problem that might be on our pathway.  We can get that thing out by the Word of God!

When we choose to say no to God and yes to humanism, we move into bondage again. We can devalue the call of God and pervert His ways into some kind of favorable advantage.
We saw this in Jesus' time. John 8:31-47 tells of such a thing.  The Jews believed that their physical descent from Abraham gave them God's favor.

John 8:31-47.......31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." 33 They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, 'You will be made free'?" 34 Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

37 "I know that you are Abraham's descendants, but you seek to kill Me,  and because My word has no place in you. 38 I speak what I have seen with My Father, and  you do what you have seen with your father." 39 They answered and said to Him, "Abraham is our father." Jesus said to them, "If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.

41 You do the deeds of your father." Then they said to Him, "We were not born of fornication; we have one Father--God." 42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God." NKJV

In this we find, Jesus telling them that they were of their father the devil. That they were not able to listen to His Word. Now, that is a bad  place to be in life. Following after the devil and his ways, operating and talking like the devil, will take you down the path Eve went down. No, it is not good to do that especially in this day and time of Jesus' soon return.

Acts 10:34-43.............34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. 36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ--He is Lord of all-- 37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. 40 Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, 41 not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. 42 And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. 43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins."
NKJV

Yes, that is the JUDGE! Do you see Him? He who in verse 42.Who commanded....to preach to the people.........to testify......that is HE...who was ordained by God to be........JUDGE OF THE LIVING AND THE DEAD.

Hebrews 6:4-8............4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. 7 For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; 8 but if it bears thorns and briars, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned. NKJV

In this we find that God accepts no excuse for failing to live His way. He provided the way to live it out day by day!
When we cultivate the Word of God into our hearts, we cultivate that life-giving force to move through and see that which is not of God. We have the heart that can discern good and evil.
Today, let's make the concerted effort to move forward to spend time, and meditate the Word that brings that life of God to us. As He has given us a way to escape the world through following His instructions, He delivers us to make a difference in someone else's life.

2 Corinthians 3:2-6............2 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; 3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. NKJV

We can overcome humanism and anything else that sets itself up against God and His Word. Seeking God daily, growing and producing fruit to a godly way of life will be evident for all to see. Amen!

Father, in the name of Jesus, it is our desire to NOT wander out of Your presence, and pursue that which is of the world and the devil. We pray that our lives will glorify You the Father in our spirit, soul and body. Today we choose to pay no attention to evil done to us, it holds no place in our thought life. We do hear the voice of the good Shepherd and the voice of a stranger we will not follow according to John 10:5.... 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers."NKJV
We thank You that today our path is growing brighter and brighter till it reaches the full light of day. Father, we pray to be those who will follow Your leading and see the path becoming brighter each day! We ask for Your wisdom today, that wisdom that will keep, defend, and protect us. That wisdom we love and she guards us. We make request that we may be filled with the full knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things, that we may walk in a manner fully  pleasing You Lord, in all things and steadily growing and increasing in Your knowledge. Today we know Jesus has been made unto us wisdom. We listen and add to our learning; we discern and get guidance understanding Your will for every area of our lives. Amen.
