Language Means a Lot

Think of the frustration and disbelief, the Pharisees confronted temple officers. What came back? "Why did you not bring him?" They had been sent to arrest Jesus. The officers returned empty handed, not out fear nor confusion, but conviction. Their answer? No one ever spoke this man". John 7:46

Language is important. One speaks what their heart holds! If you study math, consuming it yearly, you will have a heart for math. Someone who loves spelling will learn to spell many words. What about him who learns a trade: like being an electrician, a machinist, welder or crane operator. Each will work in that which they have learned. What about them who study to be a doctor or lawyer! And then A.I. I hear is writing some kids work in school. The teacher commented last week when we heard it: the teens are writing not their language but that of the A.I. Think that is a problem. She said she knows how these boys and girls speak, yet they are writing words A.I. would use.

Language is considered an art one you will learn when you study something specific! In the news today, you might learn something you did not know, like Johnny has a new house with five bathrooms. You will hear Sara just back from Hawaii for the fifth time. Yikes, did she not see what see needed or did she sleep through the other four trips there.

People are wanting inclusion but on their terms. The hearing is one religion. One religion....oh yes, they want a one world system! Listen to the news and you hear peaceful protests in Los Angeles, yet that displayed is fire . It is police cars on fire, graffiti on federal buildings, projectiles pointed at moving cars. We just saw on the news one doing a car burning circles while someone waved a Mexican flag close by.

Language.

Our faith walk accepts God’s testimony and salvation; By the holy Spirit’s leading and control, Jesus’ life is being reproduced in each of us. If we are committing sorcery or hatred: we are not led by the Spirit of God

REJECTION of God and law is the natural result of man becoming obsessed with the power of self. Worshippers of self-power will not voluntarily submit themselves to God's rules or laws. It is known as Antinomianis.

Matthew 7:16-18 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 a good tree cannot bear bad fruit, not can a bad tree bear good fruit.

Romans 16:17-18 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, & avoid them. 18 for those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, & by smooth words & flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.   Luke 16:15-16 You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. 16 The law and the prophets  were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, & everyone is pressing into it.

That is: One must reject the earth-level rule, THE WORLDLY RULE; We must surrender to                God and submit to Him in all our areas for life and living:  Is accomplished by prayer time,                     also includes that one surrenders their will to God and to surrender self-interests. Repentance and belief are the entrance into the kingdom of God. It is seen as God’s plan and purpose for our lives and not BY someone else’s plan and purpose

Rebellion must be stopped: it is as bad as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as bad as worshiping idols. 1 Samuel 15:22-23  NKJV So Samuel said: Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings & sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, & to heed than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (divination), & stubbornness is as iniquity & idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He also has rejected you from being king. Standing in opposition to God’s commands is witchcraft.

Holding a flag for a nation you say you hate, but willingly receive monetarily gifts here, only proves what you have a heart for. Language is to be heard, but that of the heart is seen and speaks volumes of those who hate.

Operating by UNBELIEF…Matthew 17: 16-21 NKJV 16 So I brought him to Your disciples. But they could not cure him. 17 Then Jesus answered & said, O faithless and perverse generations, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me. 18 & Jesus rebuked the demon, & it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 then the disciples came to Jesus privately, and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 so Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief; for assuredly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there & it will move & nothing will be impossible for you.

Faith walkand  a trust that God’s word works…..is taking dominion , not by the flesh but by the spirit of God..Confidence should be in God and the promises He has given us. His promises were given to be planted within our hearts and rely on the truth so that we shall see them come to pass in our lives. 2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him, Amen. To the glory of God through us.

Through Jesus we say Amen. But we must submit to God and resist the devil. Any ploy of the enemy can be stopped but we must keep speaking what God has given to us to speak. We must declare those truths and keep them in our own hearing as well. But if we only speak what some friend has given and has nothing to do with the divine truths of God then get rid of them….Have a Bon-FIRE with them…..God’s truth will not lie…So faith and love are wrapped up in our daily walk with God.

WE are to demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit in us! Our heart is to  be set with the Father to stand against sin and speak of its destruction to man. To do less is giving no care….to do less…marks the person who will endeavor to having their own way, doing their own thing, for the time they have here…and for…allowing the attractive and the easily absorbed way become their own way and life to see death come for them.   BUT for us” we are followers of Jesus. We are born again to serve in the kingdom which has come.

We have set our priority in Jesus, the same yesterday, today and forever. Today we choose to take territory for Him in His name…not cheering from the sidelines but a part of the Lord’s movement on earth, that church without walls! Each of us are the committed individual, with a dedicated life to God, humbled to seeing His kingdom come……giving thanks, where spiritual life is demonstrated and God’s words are spoken daily. We live to see His coming back to earth. His kingdom to be seen ………..where people cheerfully give and rejoice at His word. We truly desire to see His glory in our lives. Come Lord Jesus, Come!

Between the Moral and the Immoral Alternatives

Was reflecting on a couple of passages in the Old Testament and I thought of Eve and son Cain. Like mother, like son in that they both added something not given by God, but their own choice in will and speaking. And what is the choice when these are facing a person: remembering a sinner to choose godliness or sinful indulgence? Yet, we have been given salvation by faith through Jesus. This grace whereby we have been saved, it is the gift of God to us found in Ephesians 2:8. In this undeserved kindness, we see in action, a love so wonderful and to be realized with great things coming in our future with God and His Son!

But like I mentioned in the beginning I was thinking of Eve and Cain. It those who keep talking when they should be listening!

Genesis 3: 1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’”

Now God did not say “touch it” but He did say not eat that fruit! So Eve had a thought process already in movement. If you are intent on that fruit, you most certainly will have to touch it to eat it!

Genesis 3:4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You shall not surely die.” 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

These two were made in God’s image! Still we have a woman set on self-rule and not on God dependency. Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Genesis 3:6….so when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, & a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit & ate. She also gave to her husband with her, & he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, & they knew that they were naked; & they sewed fig leaves together & made themselves coverings.

Adam knew she had eaten and was in the process of learning death and decay. So he ate with her so as to not allow her to go alone into that pitiful place! Man is to resemble God his maker: Genesis 5:1 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male & female, & blessed them & called them Mankind in the day they were created. ( Did not make them Adam and Steve, but Adam and Eve!)

And then in Revelation 1:8 Jesus tells us that He has the keys to death and hell…the very thing the devil caused in the first man & woman. Jeremiah 17:9 says, his heart is desperately wicked. Jesus reinforces this in Matthew 15:19-20: "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man. . . ."

If one were to present a truly converted person with the same options, he would choose the life of virtue, peace and love. He would know he is righteous in God, born again into the kingdom of God where there is much light and life!

Eve plunged into a deep spiral toward death and decay.

Then we find Cain in Genesis 4. In Genesis 4:1 Now Adam knew Eve his wife and she conceived and bore Cain and said, “I have acquired a man from the LORD.” 2 Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD. 4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat.

And the LORD respected Abel and his offering, 5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. 6 So the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?” 7 “If you do well, will you not be accepted?” And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.

( Just adding a note here: Cain is trying to do what his parents were to do in the beginning. But they failed to do what God instructed. And the garden of Eden was closed to them. Now Cain pushes the envelope, but man sinned and required a sacrifice.)

8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. 9 Then the LORD said to Cain, : Where is Abel your brother? He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” 10 And He said, “What have you done?  The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. 11 So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.” 13 And Cain said to the LORD, “My punishment is greater than I can bear!” 14 Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me. 15 And the LORD said to him, “Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him seven-fold. And the LORD set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him.

Cain slew his brother Able in the field. He did not like what God spoke to him!

Cain’s heart was one of attitude and revenge. He was not a “happy camper” with God.  From verse 9 of Genesis 4, Cain tells God this: “ Am I my brother’s keeper? Evil shows itself most often in verbal violence. In fact, the Apostle Paul quotes Psalm 10:7 to show that everyone, Jews and Gentiles alike, are under the power of sin (Romans 3:14). And James says  " And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. "(James 3:6)

And from a violent heart comes violent actions.

So he speaks out, probably yelling verse 14 : “ Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.”

Cain put a bounty on his head! All he had to do was repent. He added to what God had spoken and was determined to get revenge. But God protected Cain with this symbol, the ‘mark on Cain’. Anyone who tried to kill Cain would know they would be responsible to payback seven fold the wrath.

Why did God spare the life of the world's first murderer instead of taking it? One reason is that he had not yet given man a command not to murder another human. Such a command will be given, however, right after Noah leaves the ark after the floodwaters subside (Genesis 9:6). An additional (and likely more important) reason he was allowed to live is so that other humans would be warned of God's view and judgment on sin. God would not allow it!

Seen in Genesis 4:15, God gives warning: “whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him seven-fold.”  Wow, what a warning! Anyone attempting to further punish Cain by death would contradict his purpose of allowing him to be a living witness of his judgment.  It was God Himself who reserved punishment for the crime of murder on Abel. No one would override God’s wisdom and authority on this rebellion done.

The “mark of Cain” had nothing to do with changing his skin color or anything like that.  Man is made in God’s image. We are all one blood in the lineage from Adam and Eve. The mark of Cain revealed he did not worship God but worshiped himself instead.

Psalm 10: 3-11 NKJV For the wicked boasts of the desires of his heart’s desire,

He blesses the greedy and renounces the LORD. 4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. 5 His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he sneers at them. 6 He has said in his heart, “ I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity.” 7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is trouble and iniquity. 8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; in the secret places he murders the innocent; His eyes are secretly fixed on the helpless. 9 He lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den; He lies in wait to catches the poor; He catches the poor when he draws him into his net. 10 So he crouches, he lies low, that the helpless may fall by his strength. 11 He has said in his heart, God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see.”

We are told in verse 3 of Psalm 10 that the wicked pursue the poor. They turn on them because they first turned against God. And this is what Cain did. These wicked boast and are proud in their desires. They desired and pursued even though it is the wrong thing in God’s eyes.

Like Cain, he had a greed and it got him into some trouble.  The heart determines one's preferences and inclinations, and thus it determines one's choices, subjecting the will to it. Murder came in the package from Satan and his demons. They communicated that to man through the course of this world. YOU can see that in the Flood in Genesis 6. The world has shaped our pre-conversion heart, and thus it affects our relationship with God.

Yes, Cain was marked for he was a man of cursing and deceit. He had desires to hurt others like he did his brother Abel. God marked the man of murder. But God would not allow him to die in that way. He would live as a vagabond.

Between the moral and the immoral alternatives, outside of God is death and destruction. Within His boundaries is life and much light guiding us the way home! Eve could have had any tree in the garden, but the one God said “NO” to! Before her was the bounty of many trees with much fruit to be had for two people. But that lust of the eyes is deadly indeed! And Cain did not give the sacrifice that God delighted in, nor  had the respect for, so what Cain had done had not met the requirement needed to worship God.

Lawlessness takes us out of the plan of God.  Lawlessness brings a haphazard kind of life, if you can call it that. OUR Confidence should be in God and the promises He has given us. His promises were given to be planted within our hearts and rely on the truth so that we shall see them come to pass in our lives. God has abundance. He has no lack in anything: He is GOD!

We must submit to God and resist the devil. In that we set the standard of God in our lives. Without His standard and the haphazard lawless way of living, other catastrophes might occur to end’s one life. It will mark places like Sodom and Gomorrah. It will be something that is seen decades later or thousands of years later, a place where no man lives.

Cain would be a vagabond, not living long enough to really settle anywhere for his heart could not allow him to do that. Land was cursed so that any seed he put there would not produce for him. Repentance was the required antidote to hell. Surely we should desire to see God and His goodness and not turn away.

It is the testimony of faith that we speak of every good thing we have through Him: abundance not in things, but in God who desires to give us His kingdom. It is a life totally occupied with the kingdom of God that is free from attitudes, freedom in His love and mercy where a grateful heart and a joy in the heart abound in the grace of God!

God is not forgetful nor is He negligent. Instead God is patient and kind with sinners, giving them every opportunity to turn away from their sin and repent. The Scriptures warn us not to draw the wrong conclusion when God is patient with our sin.

And what is the choice when these are facing a person: remembering a sinner to choose godliness or sinful indulgence? What will we choose?

Prayer for a Friend

Voice of Prayer
Job 42:7-10 And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, " My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has. 8 Now therefore take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has." 9 So Eliphas the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zohpar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD commanded them; for the LORD had accepted Job. 10 And the LORD restored Job's losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Wow the power of prayer when we care enough to pray for our friends and our neighbors! Whether close by or far away, it is important to cover others with God's thoughts and not ours. And of course, those words are found within that Bible.
In the midst of any trial, we must focus not only on getting through it but to pray others will get through their obstacles as well. We should always know that satanic forces can mount when people are loose with their lips speaking of wicked intent or blaspheming others.
Enduring means we keep watch over our neighbor as we keep our walk with God. Although those trials and tribulations come, we have victory by our faith we hold in God.
Greater is He that is in us than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

We must never think someone is sick because of of some stinking sin! The devil cares not for anyone but himself and will use anything to steal, kill and destroy (you) John 10:10
God has given us His word and love and within that we are to encourage the downcast, comfort any who may be afflicted and yes, we are to strengthen those who may be weak in their walk with God. As we hold fast to God and His Word, you be comforted in knowing He is for you and not against you.

Trials can come and go, but God is forever. As the Sustainer of all things, I believe us to be in "good hands!'

In the spirit of forgiveness, prayer allows us to reach across the street or across the country with God's love. In our action to prayer, we are seeking to seek Him who hears from heaven and answers.

Hebrews 2:14-15   NKJV  14  Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Understand that we have an opponent. Satan is his name and he is real! And he is active since he is running out of time for his rule!
John 8:44, in accusing the Jews of unbelief, it is Jesus Who puts Satan's nature in plain words:

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Seek out God and His way, truth and light! Seek God and know the way in which to walk for trials will occur, and other's exist on this planet so they can affect your walk. But we should remain to be the committed to God and His plan for our lives. In and through prayer we can find life that is real, that comes to pass and is manifested for others to see!

As our granddaughter would say: "take your peace, and seek". Take your peace and be seated before your CREATOR. BE seated, and become acquainted with Him. For our faith walk is to honor God. And the honest struggle should be of the spirit and not by the flesh creature.
Pray today for those who may not understand or know you. If anyone falsely accuses you, know the devil is on the scene. Pray for the man or woman and pray to forgive "no matter what" the circumstance may be.

Pray confidently for the Lord hears the prayer of the righteous. Trust Him to speak the answer you desire of Him. Acknowledge Him to clear the way and ultimately honor Him for He blesses the home of those who will be honest and a sincere heart.

Father, thank you for friends! Thank you for those we have not met yet but hope to soon! We pray for their safety and for their homes. We pray for their families and their jobs.
Thank YOU that we have hearts knitted together to see YOUR glory fill this land. And for whatever trials, tribulations or anything else the enemy might try, we seek to glory in YOU and YOUR word of truth. Come kingdom of God and be done in our lives today as it is in heaven. It is in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Flood of Adversity

Walking around the yard yesterday, I noticed at the far north of the yard, especially around the very small garden area that I more or less slopped my way through water drenched grass. It was the squishy sound of shoes slapping against some standing water. Was wondering if that is what it is like for those people in Miami experience with water taking over their neighborhoods even when there is no rain? Of course, we have probably had a good 7 inches of rain over the passed few days and rain is good for everything, right?
But was thinking about Noah when I ventured around the very wet, and very messy yard. With that squishy sound and the slap of wet to my shoes, I wondered what that family of Noah's experienced when building the ark!
It had never rained in Noah's time, and yet the word came from God, rain was going to come.

Genesis 6:1-8

6:1 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. 3 And the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." 4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them." 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
NKJV

Genesis 6:14-22
14 "Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. 15 And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. 16 You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. 18 But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark--you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive. 21 And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them."

22 Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did. NKJV

Genesis 7:1-12

7:1 Then the LORD said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation. 2 You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female; 3 also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of all the earth. 4 For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made." 5 And Noah did according to all that the LORD commanded him. 6 Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters were on the earth.

7 So Noah, with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood. 8 Of clean animals, of animals that are unclean, of birds, and of everything that creeps on the earth, 9 two by two they went into the ark to Noah, male and female, as God had commanded Noah. 10 And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth. 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. 12 And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.  NKJV

Yes, that was epic! The land was filled with violence, and it mentions those men had continual evil running through their minds. Noah had to follow every detail God gave him. He had to follow that a flood would come. And the man was six hundred years old when the floodwaters were on the earth.

Following the course with God, will ultimately cause us to make some major decisions and especially when not to follow the crowd! In study, we find that those who made the violence rule the streets were giants and their cause was to rule the earth. But God stopped it!
Yes, Noah and his family were becoming a new breed who followed God. In their pioneering spirits, they were carried into an adventure. It was probably very hard for them, being bullied on every side, and yet this family stayed faithful to God.
7:1 Then the LORD said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation. Noah had to embrace God in a new way. His whole family was relying by faith that God would spare them. Whatever their daily life was before the floodwaters came, it certainly changed. In what amount of time to flood and those who remain captive to their disobedience God demonstrated His ability to end what was evil before His sight.

Can you imagine living on a boat that length of time with all those animals? And your family too? This was 24/7 thing daily riding over adverse floodwaters.
When the flood was over, Noah was to leave the ark. And in this celebration of safety and peace in God, Noah built an altar and offered sacrifices to Jehovah God. (Genesis 8:20) A rainbow now spanned the sky overhead.
With the intense color of blue closest to him and his family, the fellowship with God was to continue. Although life was going to be different. We know not what became of him after he became the tiller of soil and keeper of the vineyards. He lived to be 950 years old.

But Jesus mentions it in the Gospels. "As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." (Matthew 24:37) Jesus spoke to those who would hear that in a "suddenness" He would return. And He said that catastrophe would come upon the unbeliever's just like in the very time that Noah lived.

Noah from the beginning had to trust God no matter what people would say and do to him. Noah had to put fear far away from him. He had to have a fresh word everyday from the Lord on high. Bullies stood on every corner. His bullies amounted to being giants at the time.  In truth, bullies can come in all sizes, shapes and genders. Noah was well aware I am certain and he worked to finish the ark and take the animals on board as ordered by God.
Noah was a preacher. He had to have told these people of the impending dangers. He had to remain positive, and keep his focus on God.
These people were probably convinced of Noah's preaching the very hour the rain began. But the ark was locked! No one would enter for safety at that time.

May we be awakened to truth that Jesus is returning soon!
Moving in a godly fear through our days is that reverence toward God knowing that He is the Almighty! Godly fear is shunning evil and that which is sinful before His eyes. He spoke to Noah and Noah understood. Noah equipped himself to move in an orderly fashion and obey God. He was going to build what God designed for him to build. Rain was coming and a "new thing" was on its way!
Think on Noah, and how many friends he might have had at the beginning of his life, but by the time the Flood rolled in, how many had walked away from him?
Today, moving in godly fear is not pleasing man. It never has been and will never be about pleasing man. His love for God propelled him into his future, took him undoubtedly over the floodwaters of adversity and delivered him safe on the other side.
What is the adversity you face? Are there many who speak against you, speaking willful, hateful words against you? Remember God is on your side if you have not left HIM. He is ever to make intercession on your behalf.

Hebrews 7:25-28
25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. 26 For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.  NKJV

Yes, Jesus lives and He makes intercession for us.

 Hebrews 10:23-25
23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching. NIV

Let's meet together, hold fast the hope we profess, for Jesus is faithful. Let us encourage one another to hold on, keep the focus on Jesus and the love the Father has bestowed upon us. He gave the greatest sacrifice through His only Son. For the day is fast approaching and the ark will be shut tight. And no one will enter in then. Keep up the good fight of faith. (1 Timothy 6:12)
BE counted worthy of the kingdom of God for what you are suffering. God is just and He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you. And He will give relief to you who are troubled. (2 Thessalonians 1:5-7)

We gave thanks at the remembrance of His holy Name, the NAME which is above every name (every adversity). Amen!

The Stairway

Ever have dreams about stairways? I sometimes do. I sometimes have them of others descending a staircase into the basement area. The building is luxurious. It has marble in most open areas. And I am watching one or two descend. My question: "Were they checking out the foundation of the building?"
Did not seem right to me, but in their choosing they were headed the way they had just started to ascend from.
I wonder if we ever think of how we might be a staircase for those who know not Jesus and have not heard the Word of Salvation. Or have we thought of how just maybe, we might be the staircase we might represent to those who have a wrong teaching about Jesus.
He is certainly about love and expressed it in the times of fun and correction as well. He was always directing others to the Father of His love!

I like the reading of 1 John 5:1-3...Message Bible:
It states: Every person who believes that Jesus is, in fact, the Messiah, is God-begotten. If we love the One who conceives the child, we'll surely love the child who was conceived. The reality test on whether or not we love God's children is this: Do we love God? Do we keep his commands? The proof that we love God comes when we keep his commandments and they are not at all troublesome.

In 1 John 4:16-21...Message Bible:
It states: God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we're free of worry on Judgment Day----our standing in the world is identical with Christ's. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. since fear is crippling, a fearful life----fear of death, fear of judgment---is one not yet fully formed in love.
We though, are going to love----love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loves us first. If anyone, boasts, "I love God" and goes right on hating his brother or sister thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won't love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can't see? The command we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You've got to love both.

I remember this gentleman who came to our church almost 20 years ago now. He was a pastor from Oklahoma. He was involved in prayer ministry and saw many miraculous signs in his ministry that God had called him to walk in his lifetime.
It was awe inspiring testimony he gave and caused a fire to burn within me to pray more. He told how he could pray hours on end. God would tell him endless secrets and mysteries from the Word of God........and he stated that when he began ministry, in a closet in prayer some 8-10 hours a day.....AND......after about 3 months he moved into ministry. Was no platform as such other that God called and he obeyed God.
He said the hardest ABOUT ministry WAS that OTHER PEOPLE were involved. I laughed! He said ministry would be great if people were not involved, because each will bring something with them. They have the Holy Spirit and they bring some baggage!
But he also stated He loved God so much and wanted others to know Him in the same manner. He believed prayer was the power from heaven released to reach the lost. Showed him love he had never known. He told how his natural father was abusive and how God loved him no matter what!

Romans 10:14-15
14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

NIV

Many have not heard the Gospel once and so how they call on the one they have not believed in? How can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news to those who are in need of a Savior!

Present to others the Stairway to which brings life with the Savior Jesus Christ.
Ascend to the place in God where joy and laughter is heard. Ascend the Staircase and show others the beauty each step holds to be in His Presence and to reside with the Son of His love.

Recently had the most awesome visit with young friends who moved away years ago. They are close in age with our own daughter. They have been close for many years. Of course, of their return for a vacation retreat to the Gorge, I experienced conversation with them that seem to take up where it was left off many years ago. They are family to us. No, not by biological blood but by the Blood of the Lamb, we are FAMILY. They love people and it shows. They proved to have that continued walk with the Lord that has remained and strengthen their own young ones to grow up knowing the Lord as well.
God our Father, has given us those who will always share with us the blessings that follow the Christ, the One who gave of His own life. He dedicated His life to show the way to the Father who resides in heaven.
Can we do as much?
AND now to Him who can keep you on your feet, standing tall in His bright presence, fresh and celebrating----to our one God, or only Savior, through Jesus Christ, our Master, be glory, majesty, strength, and rule before all time, and now, and to the end of all time. Yes!
(Jude 24-25)
Amen!
