A Boss Baby

Add caption
Yikes! Have you seen that first flick of the Boss Baby? Can you imagine being led by a baby Boss? Certainly one must be trained for the area of work they desired to be positioned in for hopefully good pay, and of course advancement within said company. Yet there is that "one thing" that one must remember and that is to be diligent to do the best work one can do and especially in knowing when we are doing it unto the Lord.
Of recent days, the house is painted a new color. In this process you find those who desire to do the job, show up early and get started quickly to finish their assigned painting for the day. Yesterday proved futile with the winds gusting to 35 miles per hour, but today is beautiful indeed and very little wind to stop the required work!
One shows up for the job and gets started early, but the other comes much, much later and gives their expertise on the subject. Again, we must be willing to learn but would be more apt to learn from someone who loved their job!

It was like the teen who wanted a job at the  local Hardware Store in this town called Carson. Yet, in the writing of this article in a letter to the editor of  the local paper, the young teen required a minimum of 35 dollars to start and wanted Saturday and Sunday off! Now I wonder when he was going to work and if there is that place that pays the clean-up person the minimum of 35 dollars to start...where can I speak with these folks! Now if school is out, then most likely he could work during the summer, but still this was while school was in session.

Education and training is very important. As our grand-daughter points out she is learning her math to see clearly the ingredients for her recipes she loves to prepare with her mother and dad! Her dad has created some games to play with coins and the such to learn algebra.
It takes study time within a classroom or quiet place alone and time to actually do the work yourself and not use some kind of instrument to get the correct answer. Kids today are allowed calculators in what, the 4th grade? Not sure how one could learn the process of working the math out, if a machine or piece of handheld equipment does the answering for you.
For me I have always loved reading, and finding out information from history, from the Bible to learning what recipes came from which country!  (Consider this: it was stated that Sir Walter Raleigh brought the potato back from the Americas and it was promptly introduced at the royal court of Queen Elizabeth. The group viewed it and then ate it raw! Since that time England swings with the new concoction of fish and chips. And if you are in England try them, they are oh so good!)

To learn anything, takes time and the willingness to study to acquire that place of knowing good information that equates with going somewhere with that which one can stand on and not that which equates no quality, which brings pain, darkness and no favor anywhere.
Anyone seeking that study time will seriously seek some good  time and generally alone time in a quiet room. My quiet time is in the office.  I love looking up early preachers of the Word of God and love finding out what their lives were truly like over one hundred years ago. For a person to bloom into what God has for them today, it requires them to have that foundation of the Gospel. Reading and studying the Bible from cover to cover would be a good start. And what is awesome about that today, is that they have the Bible on CD! So you could take it in your car or truck, to work or to the beach and see some great change come into your life!

Was thinking of the teen wanting the "great paying " job, but did he know how to push the broom, clean up and stack things in order? Could he take out the trash or was that left for the owner to do?
I think also of those walking the "streets" for change in the schools and most who carry the signs are made by 13 -17 years old. Now what change could they expect...for they have only known a few years of life and hopefully it was in school?  Yet even today there are those who walk the streets during school time, so I ask you what are they missing that day of which they might require in the future?

My husband and I saw this story of a young woman who most likely was about 21 years of age and she had been raised as an orphan. Not of this country, she grew up in the slums of a third world country, but chose to attend school. Still within her inadequate care of good food and clean environment she became ill, not unto death but did  have the kind of sickness which affected her brain. (especially in the thinking region of her brain) Still she proved to herself she could study and become a responsible adult.
It took her some years, but she moved from the fantasy to living as the responsible and in that she actually found parents to care for her who were not her biological but loved her just the same! For many though who have the advantage here, seem to need proof to back their own opinions and ideas.
Saw a writing by a theologian who stated that many today lack resources, many have the lack of time and many lack the resource of education to make the search for God. Of course he was mentioning those of third world countries. Many have to walk to find water and then it is not drinkable. Many are women who have been abandoned by husbands and now must care for their children alone! But I am certain that would not be the case in the country of which we live like America! Of late, the leading was toward creating "a god or goddess"!  People like the Avengers and the false reality many adhere to living, and the feedback  that was sent out today echoed the sentiments of the writers or creators of such are getting tired of the new story lines. But many people choose a leading in that which makes them comfortable to their idea of living for the fun times. In their consciences, they truly dodge that which they should grasp in knowing God but conform to gods and goddesses where magic rules, and responsibility is thrown out the window.

Jesus was given the tongue of the learned. He as the Prophet was given the exact word given to Him by the Father. Ezekiel 3:17 NKJV   17"Son of Man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me. Matthew 13:52 NKJV 52 Then He said to them, "Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is life a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.
Jesus brought forth that which was spoken of Him from the Old Testament and Revealed the New Testament in and through Him!

Jesus spoke this in John 12:49 "For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.
Jesus became the qualified. He became the Son . God opens our ears to hear. And like the Son we are not to be rebellious when He speaks. Jesus was willing to learn and to become what He was destined for as the divine sacrifice without sin! Despite the negative and the scorn, Jesus proved to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. He did not demand 35 dollars an hour to start out in His walk. No He was steadfastly set firmed and focused to accomplishe which even meant His death!

Isaiah 50: 7 continues with this: 7 For the Lord God will help Me; therefore I will not be disgraced; therefore I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed. 8 He is near who justifies Me; Who will contend with Me? Let us stand together. Who is My adversary? Let him come near Me.
God, His Father vindicates Jesus' character, approves of what Jesus did and declares Jesus innocent. And this was a prophetic word about HIM! With Jehovah as His advocate and His help, Jesus would prevail!
No "boss babies" here please! Truly our eyes are to be fixed on the word of God, following righteousness seeking the Lord always. We have received deliverance out of every phase of the curse for all men who will conform to His will. For when God promotes, others will desire to hear God's word through you and through me. For when God promotes, favor on our lives will be seen. And by faith we must believe and receive that which is in God for our light will break forth like the beams of the sun on a clear morning. Our righteousness that is of and in God will be seen as whole and healthy and God's glory will be our rear guard! Darkness has passed, light has appeared and in this day we delight. For in this process of time, we become what he destined for us to be in this moment now for His glory for now and forever. Amen!

Country Strong

God devotion makes a country strong! (Voice of Prayer)
God-devotion makes a country strong;
God-avoidance leaves people weak.  Proverbs 14:34 Message Bible
Proverbs 14:34   Amp. Bible Uprightness and right standing with God ( moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation ) elevate a nation but sin is a reproach to any people.

Came across this in my reading last week and made note of it! It inspired this writing.
When I was in school, I worked hard very on some subjects I took. For instance I loved history, geography, science, language arts and English. But really did not care for the math part, or P.E. Music was a fun period time, for we had a teacher who really loved music and all sorts of instruments. She made it fun to learn: like when a score was written and for what purpose the particular person proceeded to create it in music and lyrics. She would teach about the creator of such work and in what time period they lived. Her name: well we called her Mrs. Rich and she was truly rich in the knowledge of that history that was vital to America! She loved her job of teaching and her love of music to teach others. I pray I teach like she did and that others would experience that love I have for the Lord in every word and that it would be in harmony with God as an orchestra to those who will read and hear!

In church for time, you learn that the devil came to steal, kill and destroy in that order. The Amplified Bible states it this way: John 10:10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows); 11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His [own] life for the sheep. 12 But the hired servant ( who merely serves for wages) who is neither the shepherd or the owner of the sheep, when he sees the wolf coming, deserts the flock and runs away. And the wolf chases and snatches them and scatters [ the flock].

My mother was wise in that she took us to church, and she talked with our instructors. She also saw to it that she met with our school instructors and took that instruction from them for her counsel in checking our work at home. In that she continued to train us. For whatever issues she had,  they meant nothing because she wanted her “kids” educated in church and in school!
Good job, Mom!

Making Jesus our Good Shepherd will keep the enemy away. But it is our faith that must be spoken, you know that language of faith to declare He is our God.  It is not by declaring a world spectacular as our god. It is not missing out on those school days when an education is required today to get a job interview or even the job tomorrow!

Any avoidance of God weakens our life, the life of our children, and even our community and nation! When people choose to do only that which strikes their “fancy” as to entertaining the flesh, one looks for all the great buys to get out there and experience “that world”! From this get- away to that get-away....and what are people getting away from?

Now when my sister and I were in school, our mother saw to it that we read the word at night and she would pray with us, especially if our dad was on a long trip away from home. Now her thinking was that we needed “Sunday school” and to school we went on Sunday! The same worked for getting that education, for both my parents knew that getting an education between reading and writing your name and not learning to write or read anything.  I remember stories of some great grand-parents in our family who had little education and how they had the chore of finding someone available so they could have something read to them before they could sign their name on any formal document. That was enough to influence me: I was getting a diploma to know for certain all I needed  to be educated in reading and writing  and to understand before I signed anything of the formal nature!

But today, so many young people seem to disregard education as not needed. I had heard an alarming report of those who have missed more school this year than the 10 days allowed by the district. It seems they choose not "to attend'.  But these teens certainly have seemed to miss an opportunity to learn something that might benefit them twenty years from now!

My question: how do they graduate if they have not fulfilled their amount of time for study of those subjects required? Are they expecting some kind of handout all their life? Is there something else available I had not heard of in this day and time, for we know jobs are important to have for bringing in a check to care not only for oneself but also for the family if one is married. It is those important things: like renting a place when first starting out, buying groceries, paying bills and hey, how about the upkeep of a new cell phone? Who will pay that bill?

All the jobs I had applied for in my lifetime required you have the High School diploma or you were not hired.  Even up to the beginning of the 21 century I saw and heard stories that if you had quit school you would not be hired until he or she had produced a document proving that he or she had acquired that “diploma” (like G.E.D.)

In reading on to the next verses in the Message Bible, I read this Proverbs 14:35 Diligent work gets a warm commendation; shiftless work earns an angry rebuke.

Now if you are working for you, you still must have God as your lead in anything. For the above mentions that the king, any man or woman who is in charge of the company or business is the one who will commend another for the work done in the company or business. But if one is the “slacker” and does not required the paycheck they will certainly find his place in being unemployed.
Slacking also means you do not tell your boss how to do his job your way! If you have a boss, he got his job by the amount of years he remained faithful to learn and understand the way he sought in either learning a trade or field or area of work and maintained in a good position as he or she ages. Slacking also means that you do not go and change what the company or business is already doing. If you are hired you are hired to do exactly what you are paid to do, no more and no less…but be faithful to it!

We take a local paper here in this area. It is always delivered to our mailing address in town. In some of the editorials, we read of the frustrations by some local business owners who hire the teens for either the summer season or hire those who want to work  after high school is finished and they need regular work. One such individual wrote of his hardware business and what he had sent out in the paper that he was hiring for someone to do clean-up and haul large items of lumber or such to a customer's vehicle. He had a few other things listed, but in short, he put that he got people who wanted to work part-time hours, and required really enlarged salaries, like the starting pay at 30 dollars to start? Now where has this “kid” been living?
Anyway, the short of it, either the work for the said persons was not what they wanted and not enough pay! I remember when my mother made $1.65 an hour to start her job. And her increase was very slow paced. Of course that was back in the twentieth century!

Making demands should not be our lifestyle! If we are in the Lord, we learn His wisdom and how to grow not only in knowing Him and His word, but also how to work with others, learn the needed knowledge we require for a certain job and move ahead with God’s hand of favor on our lives.
Staying close to the Lord will give us the protection to know when some “unexpected something” is coming your way! Unless prepared by the Lord, we miss it! Many an opportunity has been missed by many people, just look at the graveyard you pass maybe to church or to work or maybe the next time you buy groceries. I always note seeing one somewhere when we are driving out any direction of where we live. And I wonder how many really did something that God had placed in them to do.
The most I have seen for the youth is they died suddenly when driving too fast while texting!
Now I do hear of some world changers and history makers, but they are not from around here!

God and prayer work for our families, our neighbors and our nation!

My thought is what is the heartache one experiences when their young teen dies so suddenly when it most likely could have been prevented. Now some things can occur, but prayer is important to keeping God’s power going out to keep our families strong in Him. Prayer amounts to the power of God released into their young lives. Prayer for our youth and those teens surrounds them with God’s power of protection to see that they come home safely.
Considering God is powerful and able to save, I desire to stay with Him. I have made too many trips to the “city” and see so many still disobeying the rules to answer that “all important” text while driving. I don't need to watch for horror movies on TV, I can drive in the nearest city to observe that and without the benefit of a good bag of popcorn.

Education is so important, and so is knowing the Lord. In the world where so many are missing the great opportunity of receiving a good education to thrive,  they miss out not only by being absent from school but also miss those days they might really be needed……..and within that, they vacate that which could have been a really good life being submissive to learn and to achieve. In the end, they most likely miss their opportunity to a life in God. If school is not important, would knowing God and learning the truths in the Bible be important?

God devotion makes a country strong! May our desire together in unity be for His kingdom to come and be done on earth as it is in heaven. May God the Lord be praised! He sent Jesus and with the thankfulness of our heart’s we can see things change when we pray!
It is our God Who has delivered us from the evil one who came to steal, kill and destroy us, but God sent us HIS Son that we would have life and have it in abundance. Are our lives significant of abundance or that which is diminished, the lacking with no life of God in it?

Thank YOU Father for delivering us from every evil work and thank YOU for the authority YOU have given us with the name of Jesus. We love YOU and praise YOU.
Oh, Lord may we praise YOU every day and within that find those new reasons to praise YOU!
Father, according to Proverbs 14:34   Amp. Bible we desire to have the uprightness and right standing with God ( moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation ) elevate a nation but choose to push  past sin as we understand….it is a reproach to any people.
We pray for those who know YOU and their families today that any who have floundered may be brought back into the fold of YOUR truth and love. May all children everywhere know the importance of a good education no matter their age and within that may they have regard for God first and His plan for their lives that which brings abundance for every area of their lives. We pray for those who know the Lord, may their children grow spiritually, physically, financially, socially and emotionally through God’s Word of truth!
Father, may Your peace rule this nation, this state, and this community. May the people of this nation become kingdom people and give praise to the one true God. It is all about serving the Lord with gladness in our hearts. To God be all the glory. Amen and Amen.

Glow-In-the-Dark

Voice of Prayer
Psalm 45 Message Bible
My heart burst its banks, spilling beauty
and goodness.
I pour it out in a poem to the king,
shaping the river into words;
You're the handsomest of men; every
word from your lips is sheer grace,
and God has blessed you, blessed you so much.
Strap your sword to your side, warrior!
Accept Praise! Accept due honor!
Ride majestically! Ride triumphantly!
Ride on the side of truth!
Ride for the righteous meek!

Your instructions are to glow-in-the-dark, you shoot sharp arrows.
Into enemy hearts; the king's foes lie down in the dust, beaten. Your throne is God's throne; ever and always; The scepter of your royal rule measures right living. You love the right and hate the wrong. And that is why God, your very own God, poured fragrant oil on your head, Marking you out as king from among your dear companions.

Our hearts should burst forth with praise to the beauty of the King, our King Jesus Christ. In speaking out, our praise speaks the same as Jesus Himself spoke. Speaking what Jesus heard from the Father and spoke should be a confirmation to our hearts of His intent to bring light to us.

Now those glow-in-the-dark sticks are awesome. They can put out some light for a short time, but in the long run of our lives, God's word does and will light the way for us no matter the day, hour, rain, or shine, God 's word is working.

In this psalm, is a song of love. Psalm 18:1 in the Living Bible speaks this: Lord, how I love you! For you have done such tremendous things for me. Are we thinking in terms of love for God our Creator and God our Savior?

In our loving our spouse, our children, grand-children or other relatives, those special moments is revealed to greater depths of love when our love is found in God and when it is extended to others who can not possibly repay with the same kind of love.
Our lives can contain some things that help us light a dark way: like candles or that great Dorcy Flashlight. Yeah, now that is a flash light a dark room and is great help when the power goes off at your house!

In writing this, I refer back to Psalm 31 in the New King James Version. In verse 1-5, it reads this way: " In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be shamed; deliver me in Your righteousness. 2 Bow down Your ear to me, deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge and a fortress of defense to save me. 3 "For You are my rock and my fortress; therefore, for Your name's sake; lead me and guide me, 4 Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, For you are my strength. 5 Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth."

Light leads us especially when you cannot see where you are going. Thinking of when the power goes off and one walks through the dark room, "now where is that light switch"..?????......bump.....crash...!
"Oh yeah, I moved that lamp and it's table to a different place."
Having God active in our lives, points to the dangers, and gives us the needed support when things are out of order in our lives.

But in these specific verses, they are referring back or pointing to the utmost trust in God!

One has to learn to trust.
A baby is dependent on the mother and then the father. If they do not exist in his or her life, then they, the baby will most likely not learn to trust, especially adults.
You have an older child or children who may trust and they most likely have both parents active in showing them examples of trusting another person. When "kids" have both parents active, the seeds are sown in teaching them what "trust" actually looks like.

The husband/wife team deliver to their child/children, strong lessons vital for life to protect them and guide them. With God as the "standard", truth is revealed, commitment to another is seen, and a steadiness to continue in a steadfast instructions are like that glow-in-the-dark stick or bracelet. His instructions teach us to rely on His strength and reside in His peace.
God will always act in according to His character of holiness and His Word. He never changes. What He spoke to you, He will do it!  But it is you who chooses! And what will you choose?

King Jesus spoke what He heard the Father speak. And we are called to live and endure by faith in Romans 1:17. We are to come to God and required to believe not only that He is, but He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

If we had no previous training in relying on Him, seen no examples through parents, God can show us what it looks like. When we read through those passages of Abram leaving Haran ( Genesis 12:1-3) and going to the place God told him to go, we Abram become Abraham and how he trusted in the One True God. ( Genesis 17:5....a covenant and he became Abraham)
Taking us into His bosom, God keeps us, protects us, loves us and without restraint. His love never comes to an end. People may exit our lives, a spouse may choose greener grass on the other side to find out that the other side comprises only artificial turf, and best friends might become the next likely enemy, but our faith is to be in God, our trust is to be the utmost, and our next  breath must be about speaking of Him.

The world has its issues! But God is still God and knows all.
For both of us,  my husband and myself, our parents did not stay married to their first spouse. Whatever issues though, we have worked for our marriage. Not always an easy thing, marriage takes hard work and endurance. Just like Jesus had a walk before Him to the Cross, He never waivered in His walk with God...... "not my will but Yours be done" when He prayed to the Father.
May our hearts choose to burst its banks, spilling beauty and goodness to our KING! May our river flow into words for Him, and may those lips be sheer grace. For it is God Who has blessed us, and given us His best. Our King rides majestically and He is coming again. It is on the side of truth and of the meek who shall inherit the earth.

If we spend time looking back at those people who had their trust in God, we learn not to rely on the fleshy man. And our future and prosperity is not to rest upon our own ability.

Confidence in God is going to run long, the way of life in placing our whole being on the promises of God and His faithfulness knowing He will never leave us and He will never forsake us!
God responds to our choices and what choices are we making?
There is a war out there in this world for the children and grand-children, will we fight back in prayer, will we speak right things that align with God, will we be that glow-in-the-dark light that will show people our trust is to be in God only?
Dear Lord, excite and quicken us to be men and women of prayer. We desire to be ever speaking praise like a river for Your glory and honor. And may we be that light in that dark place, knowing what to speak and that our total trust is in You.....and that we cannot fail for we have Heaven backing us up. For all that is required of us today Lord, may we speak in that moment that will dispel the darkness and light the way for someone to know You and love You forever, in Jesus' name. Amen.

PREPARATIONS

Recently saw the young woman who is out-swimming the males. She is coming up for the Olympics and she is phenomenal. They showed her in her practice swims, and though at ease, she broke her own time. And yes, she was swimming with males in practice. Her coach wanted her to train with them and try to keep pace with them, for he believed she had a quality and that it would come as she trained.
He was so right!
As individuals we certainly need to train ourselves. We must learn some cooking skills, paying bills, cleaning the area of earth the Lord has given us to take dominion over. I am amazed today how many men and women cannot cook up a meal. I remember my mother always telling me to stand by her side as she prepared a meal and consistently watch everything she did so I could take it and run one day with it as well. That worked for us when my mother went back to work when we were in high school. She did not have to worry about the evening meal being started. And she would finish it up when she arrived home.
It is all about preparations and if we do any kind of preparation for where we are headed. I have seen couples that we have known lose their loved one, and feel inadequate as they could not even boil water. Still others, I have seen take the role seriously, and continued to prepare meals for themselves when that loved one left this earth for glory!
I have seen our children teach their child to bake banana bread. They bring out all the ingredients, get her situated on the step, and hand her the measuring cups, and she is running with it! And she bakes up some really great banana bread with chocolate chips! Preparations!

So where are we headed? Where do we plan to be in a year or so? Tomorrow will surely come and how prepared for it are we at this moment?

Proverbs 14:8
8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand His way,
But the folly of fools is deceit.
NKJV

How true that the prudent will understand their way, but the fool will put off all that for another time and place. In deceit, they make up excuses about tomorrow and put off what really should be done today. Like growing older and making plans for leaving this earth certainly makes one stop and think about life and how short it is, but in truth we must make plans so whoever is left behind will have some satisfaction knowing everything was dealt with before leaving this earth.
A lot of people do not want to make the needed goals, but rather set them aside and maybe ignore them for awhile longer.
Like Jesus, we too, must make goals, and see them made plain that we follow through to their completion. His of course was the purpose and the mission.

Luke 19:9
9 And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; 10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."
NKJV

When we take time to "talk" with our Father Who is in heaven and relate to Him what we are experiencing, He will show us how to walk on through. It is allowing Him to show us the perfect plan and then how we are to implement it in our life. Surely when one faces some hard things in life, like finding the needed blood one might need in an emergency, and none matches your own, you certainly give heed to the direction of the Lord and how to proceed to make the needed changes that would help your spouse should anything occur all too quickly. But by faith we walk, with eyes on the God who can deliver. Walking by faith, is keeping that faith walk alive by speaking and preparing. It is not about leaving all to God, for He already did everything He was going to do. It is up to us to obey and do now what He has spoken for us to do.

James 4:13-17
13 Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." 16 As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. 17 Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins. NIV

Yes, we can certainly make our plans, and in the long run most never come to fruition. Some I have noted of late is of people who make a plan, went on vacation when they should have stayed home, and then died on the vacation trip. So the spouse had to deal with bringing them home. Now I am sure this does not happen all the time, but of late I hear it happening a lot of the time.
We should always ask the Lord's plan or will for the specific thing we are planning and if we are to move then God would have His seal of approval on it. And I know by experience it took us two years many decades ago, to really move from where we were at. But God kept speaking to us about moving from where we were at to get TO WHERE WE NEEDED TO BE!
YES, not obeying is sin!
So do we have anything today that is disabling us from being the individual who can cope with great change? Are we willing to learn to wash clothes, clean a house, cook a meal or even care for a spouse who might need it? These are just questions, but they need to be addressed.
Will we come out on the other side of a loss with hope in our hearts that we can continue to live on with a cheerful attitude or will we be the grumpy and the unforgiving sort.
Consciously we should seek to be educated on what we lack knowledge on and then to be informed of what changes must take place.
I know when my grandfather had passed many years ago, he had left my grandmother well cared for. She had money in the bank and a new home to live in. Yes she lived alone but had many guests frequently dropping by for a glass of sweet tea or just to chat. She had a life to continue with and lived many decades after his death. She never remarried but remained faithful to the marriage she was devoted to. And when she passed, she left an inheritance to her children's children.
God is for us. He has the best for us, but we must get moving on learning all that we must learn and deal with hard questions and those things that may seem terrible right now, but will bring peace and satisfaction to those we leave behind.
We must want to practice victory everyday. It starts by getting out of bed in the morning and dressing for the day. We are to walk in triumph for all things have been given to us.
Yes, the enemy may come with circumstances and even thoughts, but we are to walk in the steps of the Lord that is righteousness. Sing out in triumph and know it is not over till God gives you the nod that it is time to go HOME! Today we must rejoice for we boiled that egg and it appeared cooked in the middle. And hey, I did not burn the toast, although the cornbread I did bake fell apart while taking it out of the pan, I could still put a little butter on it. I like to bake and try new recipes but they do not always turn out for me. But for my husband, well, he loves to cook up new recipes and we always have fun in the kitchen together!

Isaiah 57:19-21
19 "I create the fruit of the lips:
Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near,"
Says the LORD,
"And I will heal him."
20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea,
When it cannot rest,
Whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

21 "There is no peace,"
Says my God, "for the wicked."     NKJV

The fruit on our lips must be for peace, for ourselves and for our loved ones. As we take the opportunity to give praise to God, we are healed of any sorrow or pain, and we gain our victory for each day that we praise. Whatever the trial or tribulation, we must be the prepared to continue to walk in that peace of God.  May our confidence be in God and hold onto to His truths as we make our way into eternity.

Father, You cause us to triumph in Christ Jesus. We are thankful for Jesus and all that He did for us on the Cross. We pray to be the diligent who will make preparations as individuals and for the welfare of our loved ones, so that whatever may occur we will be the prepared and not the fool! Help us in dealing with any change. Show us Your plan and purpose for us as we make our way through this life and how to enter eternity with Your thoughts for us.  Jesus said that we must deny ourselves and take up His cross to follow Him (Matthew 16:24) Following Jesus requires us, Father,  to change our plans, although  sounding really good, those plans may not be the best for us. Help us to know when we are tying to make deals with You and know that we must not INSIST ON OUR OWN WAY THROUGH DAILY LIVING BUT A CONTINUAL SURRENDERING  our life to Jesus.
We desire to have no struggle over this area of decision making as we make those lasting decisions to help our loved ones. Our desire is to make life easier and to bring peace when all is set and done. We know we are promised long lives and we truly seek that long life following Your voice as You lead us down that path of righteousness. Thank You today for Your plan that is one of ease for our lives. Today we will choose to fill our minds with Your words and focus on Your thoughts for us that are for our good and not for evil to give us hope in our final outcome. It is in Jesus' s holy name we pray. Amen.
