Anyone Can Defeat a Dead Giant!

Remember David and Goliath, yes the one listed in the Old Testament, the young man who would slay the giant Goliath and one day be king? Well, it would be sometime before David would face that door when the kingdom would be under his rule, and he still had much life before him, days to serve his father while his brothers served the King!
Yes, anyone could defeat a dead giant, but how about that living, walking, and arrogant speaking mouth that will not shut up, but only breathes only hate and defiance of the God in you?

Was reading an article today that talked of "giants" and their wreck on society, still I do not think the church body thinks about the "giants" allowed to live within the church. When Joshua and Caleb went to spy out the promised land of Canaan, they saw giants, but they also saw what grew there that was "biggy" sized for those on the outside to see when looking in to what "this" land was capable of producing. If you remember there were those who came back with a bad report on the land and its people! God had told them of the giants in the land and that they would have to dealt with.

Have we taken into account that which was uncommon in most of David's age at the time of this encounter with a giant?  Do we consider that David, and like many today are being harassed much like David was by his own brother, the older and still move to stop that which is harassing the church or believers in God? We see governors harassing their citizens by trying to limit their rights of the Constitution that was written to hold people accountable to right's of the people and not to a few bureaucrats who hunger for leadership! Those who are power hunger take to using their bull horn for intimidating others by any illogical means to hold a person or group in shutdown! There are those who will use that opportunity against others to have their own way, their own agenda.

If you remember the giant Goliath stood against to defy the armies of Israel. 1 Samuel 17: 14 David was the youngest. And the three oldest followed Saul. 15 But David occasionally went and returned from Saul to feed his father's sheep at Bethlehem. 16 And the Philistine drew near and presented himself forty days, morning and evening. 17 Then Jesse said to his son David, "Take now for your brothers an ephah of this dried grain and these ten loaves, and run to your brothers at the camp. 18 And carry these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand, and see how your brothers fare, and bring back news of them."

1 Samuel 17:19-54…………… 19 Now Saul and they and all the men of Israel were in the Valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.
20 So David rose early in the morning, left the sheep with a keeper, and took the things and went as Jesse had commanded him. And he came to the camp as the army was going out to the fight and shouting for the battle. 21 For Israel and the Philistines had drawn up in battle array, army against army.
          *  David rose early to do the father’s bidding
          *  David left his sheep in the hands of the keeper
          *  David took the food and went as Jesse commanded him
          *  David had order in his life

22 And David left his supplies in the hand of the supply keeper, ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers. 23 Then as he talked with them, there was the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, coming up from the armies of the Philistines; and he spoke according to the same words. So David heard them. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him and were dreadfully afraid. 25 So the men of Israel said, "Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel; and it shall be that the man who kills him the king will enrich with great riches, will give him his daughter, & give his father's house exemption from taxes in Israel." 26 Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, "What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?" 27 And the people answered him in this manner, saying, "So shall it be done for the man who kills him."  David was now rehearsing what the men of Israel spoke in regard to the three things done for the man who slew Goliath

1 Samuel 17: 28 Now Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab's anger was aroused against ( his anger was one of arrogance when he spoke of David’s pride and insolence)David, and he said, "Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle."
Yes, Eliab had some issues...and the oldest was not willing to stand before Goliath, but he also used his position to intimidate his younger brother....to stand down! No, this was not the time to be intimidated!

Remember that David was anointed in 1 Samuel 16:13….how Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the presence of his brothers and the Holy Spirit came on him in power...for a future event, the future king

1 Samuel 17: 29 And David said, "What have I done now? Is there not a cause?" 30 Then he turned from him toward another and said the same thing; and these people answered him as the first ones did.
31 Now when the words which David spoke were heard, they reported them to Saul; and he sent for him. 32 Then David said to Saul, "Let no man's heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine." 33 And Saul said to David, "You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth."   This battle was not David’s battle
34 But David said to Saul, "Your servant used to keep his father's sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, 35 I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God." 37 Moreover David said, "The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”

Now  David has told of his up close and personal encounters with the enemy: he mentions the paw of the lion and paw of the bear ( viewed as a conflict of interest)  It is a place of violence spoken of you and about you and involves you and will appear as a rolling in the dust!  It will attack your character and your voice in what you give in regard to God, our Lord and to His word!                                                                                                                                 WILL we have an outcome of something or someone coming against your person, will it be about shutting you down and if you are ruled by emotions, then it will be a probable defeat. OUR faith is that which resides in God  WHO is our righteousness, & we  know without doubt that His truth prevails in our lives, & we stand firm in the faith voicing freely God and His love to others.

Saul said to David, "Go,& the LORD be with you!" 38 So Saul clothed David with his armor, & he put a bronze helmet on his head; he also clothed him with a coat of mail. 39 David fastened his sword to his armor, & he tried to walk, for he had not tested them. & David said to Saul, "I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them." So David took them off.    40 Then he took his staff in his hand( remember the promises of God); & he chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, & put them in a shepherd's bag, in a pouch which he had, & his sling was in his hand. & he drew near to the Philistine. 41 So the Philistine came, and began drawing near to David, & the man who bore the shield went before him. 42 And when the Philistine looked about and saw David, he disdained him; for he was only a youth, ruddy & good-looking. 43 So the Philistine said to David, "Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?" And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. 44 & the Philistine said to David, "Come to me, & I will give your flesh to the birds of the air & and the beasts of the field!"

45 Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, with a spear, & with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, & I will strike you & take your head from you.
And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47 Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD's, & He will give you into our hands."
48 So it was, when the Philistine arose & came and drew near to meet David, that….  David hastened & ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. 49 Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. 50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David. 51 Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled. 52 Now the men of Israel & Judah arose & shouted, & pursued the Philistines as far as the entrance of the valley & to the gates of Ekron. & the wounded of the Philistines fell along the road to Shaaraim, even as far as Gath & Ekron. 53 Then the children of Israel returned from chasing the Philistines, & they plundered their tents. 54 And David took the head of the Philistine & brought it to Jerusalem, but he put his armor in his tent. NKJV

The "Philistine" is one meaning "unclean spirit". They manifest in different ways, but one main quick attack is through that which tries to "silent mouths" ...that is to shut a mouth so it will not speak for God.                                         The open door was the encounter with Goliath and it was through Eliab’s anger as he testified and confirmed his hate when he told David that he David had insolence and pride. In Goliath, we see one wanting to shut their mouths & scare the nation of Israel away! Eliab accused David of pride but did not mention Goliath's pride and arrogance!
Another thing to pay attention to: an unclean spirit will target your testimony of victory in the Lord and the goodness of God in our lives!
Another manifested form of an unclean spirit that pertains to and is of a performing nature, like Goliath will be that parading around on the merit of  their size… and will display "that"  big mouth.

Have you seen people who are there just to perform and not minister anything? No life, and no good word comes out of them, but they speak of me, myself and I …....IN Scripture unclean means "to be the defiled, to be the polluted, unwholesome," … readily refers to foods that are unfit, defilement can be of a religious character, and moral or spiritual impurity.  In the New Testament we find a spiritual application. Listed as uncleanness or moral defilement with fornication plus other sins as works of the flesh from Galatians 5:19-21.

David spoke this in verse 47: 47  "Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD's, and He will give you into our hands."
And in verse 51….David runs over, takes the sword from the sheath of Goliath and uses it against him.

David was a youth who did an uncommon thing! David was led by the Spirit of God! David knew his strength was in God alone! He joined the king to stand against the enemy who wanted to destroy Israel. Will we stand with our leader, the President of the United States, and speak truth and declare God's word over him and the people of this nation or will we bicker over his uses of Twitter, he is this or he is that? If you live in another country, will you stand with justice that is of God and peace for the man who desires God to lead the nation or take that which is destruction for all?
David join the cause of the nation that God wanted Goliath gone and protect His nation. And David ran to the battle, he ran to face the giant and deliver the blow to the enemy. Will we not see that God is about this nation and has been speaking about making it the cause, not the church building ,but that His people will stand as a nation under one God to speak and declare always His truths that was given us through Jesus Christ?

You and I should not be fearful in this day and in this hour! In David we saw the faith he had in God, he went in His name and the God of the armies of Israel.
David told of those who spoke against God, who defied Him! In his speaking, David affirmed that the LORD would deliver the enemy into his hand. He also included the entire camp of Philistines for destruction to be food for the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth.

David understood, that the “battle is the Lord’s.”   Every time he took up his shepherd’s staff, David could read the promise God had for him from it. For the Shepherds staff was marked (or carved) with every good thing God had done for him. David walked with the promise in his heart.
Deuteronomy 31:6 in the Amplified Bible, “ be strong, courageous and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you.”
The courageous do not have to pretend. They have this undaunted courage. They have no fear, they have no discouragement. They are armed with the Presence of God and they go forward into their tomorrow knowing God is with them!

Giants speak against the life in God! They like to take rights away from those who know God and trust in Him. They are of the spiritual realm who will use people in different arenas of life. But you and I are to be confident in our speaking by faith. We are to be active, with that willing heart who has spent time in prayer and is disciplined in the Word of God to speak it plainly!

God has given us His Holy Spirit to not fear.  He has given us power, love, and a sound mind to prevail in all situations. Holding fast the pattern of sound words & always cultivating a relationship with His Holy Spirit that propels us into the power of God for signs and wonders.
We hold onto Christ; for we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." ( Heb.3:14-15)

Father, in Jesus name, we pray that You will show us and help us realize any area where any performance done in the flesh is purely taxing to our strength! We pray to be those who will see all is done in You our Father God and in Your name for Your glory, for we  really do not want to become the exhausted ones crying in the corner! For there is a cause, and we so badly need You. We require Your help and we know that YOU will not leave us without strength.

Father , we pray to be released into our spheres of authority where we are the empowered to demonstrate that the Kingdom of God has come & daily may we be the renewed, and powered up in godly authority.
May the river run through us so that the watercourses that refreshes will feed the willows and will have that continual flow daily!

Father, thank You for the Spirit that is life because of righteousness.  Father, may we bear fruit in that which the Holy Spirit teaches us.  He opens our minds, guides us, calls us to prayer & He does this so that we become those powered in have the momentum for work in the these the last days.

Father You have helped us see that we are not just “ the saved ones”, but those who have the indwelling Holy Spirit Who Empowers us to do exploits. Lead us….now….Holy Spirit. Help us to delight in building momentum praying in the Holy Spirit.    Your peace has the strength to root out, root up & demolish every single work of darkness that is meant to keep God's kingdom from advancing.

Father, thank You for Your peace that is not only our refuge, but is also THE weapon against the enemy.   Father we thank You for courage to stand in the face of any enemy whether as of a report of sickness, personal conflict to believers, with those on the outside, or a family situation or trial & know that You the Father of Light have given us Your knowledge & Your wisdom! Thank You Father for hearing! We receive instruction to move forward when a giant may appear. We expect Your peace to continue in our lives IN JESUS' NAME. We will guard that peace and hold it in our hearts governed by the love of God. AMEN.

UN-CHARTERED TERRITORY

UN-chartered territory.........

Romans 1:16-18  Amplified Bible 16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust & a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (Greek is the Gentile) ..17 For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed both springing from faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just & upright shall live and shall live by faith. (Habakkuk 2:4) 18 For God’s [holy] wrath & indignation are revealed from heaven against all ungodliness & unrighteousness of men, who in their wickedness repress & hinder the truth and make it imperative.   (that is:  they make it their goal, a main order to extinguish the truth, reduce it….)

Do we allow people to be around us who will reduce our faith in the Lord? For the faith man lives by is a faith that is just and upright (righteous) and is that which we are told here that God’s holy wrath and indignation are revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men.
Isaiah 28:5-6 In that day the LORD of hosts will be for a crown of glory & a diadem of beauty to the remnant of His people, 6 For a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

From verse 6 For a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, & for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate…In that day, a spirit of justice is by the Holy Spirit & strength is seen from our source who is God Himself.
Remember gates are people, as the gates of hell are those who stand against God, who stand against truth. But we of faith, are gates, who give thanksgiving to God, (Psalm 100) We bless the LORD for His mercy Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases (Psalm  103) We praise Him Who covers Himself with light. (Psalm 104) May our mediation be sweet to Him; may we be glad in the LORD, for we will bless the LORD with all our soul. (Psalm 103:34-35)

Faith people travel far in God, they travel in UN-chartered territory for their steps are ordered in Him and by Him. Faith people always reside in the wise faith dependent on Jesus. They are persistent in that faith when overwhelming obstacles appear like unexpected illness or disease. They do not whine or cry about that which seems to speak loudly against them, because they know in whom they have believed and know Him to be able to do what He has spoken He will do. The Lord’s kingdom abides in them. They reveal heaven on earth to others!

They are those that stand in that sacrificial faith who put aside their time & their effort to bring forth time for others in dire straits bringing the word of God, bringing prayer in the night and comfort of food when required. They appear un-intimidated for it is by their faith, for they will display in public, Jesus, in Whom they have believed & in Whom they will trust whether they are applying for a new position or have been given a “bad report” that can kill!
They are active in their faith walk that reveals their time will be used wisely to minister life to another person! They will take the time to listen to them (yes to hear others) and respond with an interested heart! They bring the testimony of faith that Jesus saved them in their lowest point of life to minister life to him who is in need of a Savior.

Yes, faith is active and in this moment! Are we actively lifting Jesus in this moment of a shut-down? I hear some are catching up on some reading in this time of extra quiet, and some are trying to catch up on some lost sleep. Still others appear to be catching up on cleaning their home and acquiring a new language. I heard one lady is working on a craft project, which sounds like fun to me, but I wondered where you got the supplies to work on that project. Maybe I should look on Amazon?

Although those are good things. One’s home should be clean to welcome both your family and a possible friend over at some time when there is no shut-down. But what about when some kind of " the normal" resumes. But we understand this “normal” will be nothing like that which we knew in the past! Most likely all games will be on Pay-per-view….so there will be no need for those high-priced stadiums unless they are used by missionaries or pastors to present God’s word to that city and state! Yes, many things will change how we live life and how we continue to shop and do business. It is another step to see the anti-Christ appear on the scene of this world.
But faith people are about the business of God. They are walking in UN-chartered territory as the world would see it. But they speak that which may be new but it is life in the spiritual that is seen at a point not far in the future. They speak faith in the true found in Jesus Christ. They display a certain peace that only comes from Him.

They will also proclaim the Lord’s death as read in 1 Corinthians 11:23-26!
1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NKJV For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread: 24 & when He had given thanks, He broke it & said, “Take and eat; this is my body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. 26 For as often as you eat this bead & drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

A covenant keeping God, is one loyal to what He has spoken. This is a blood covenant through Jesus Christ! Psalm 141:3-4 gives this in the ESV. Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips! Do not let my heart incline to any evil, to busy myself with wicked deeds in company with men who work iniquity, and let me not eat of their delicacies!
Certainly our mouths can speak at the oddest times and we need to make sure a guard is set over it! Still the Kingdom of God has come and in that it is a spiritual kingdom. Too many people today, yes believers say they live by faith but must evidently remain in the natural flesh man because numerous times including yesterday I saw anything but someone living in the supernatural of Jesus Christ. So what delicacies are we choosing to speak out about? Surely we must have the right information and speak that information in prayer, but some seem to think they will shrivel and die if even one word is spoken about the dreaded virus, or that "C" word!

In the afternoon over this weekend, I had found a movie available that was a true story of a young teen, a Christian, who had drowned in a lake (ice covered lake) when visiting a friend back in 2015. The drowning occurred around Martin Luther King Day of that year. At one point in this movie, that husband goes into for what is a hit mode, a tirade, toward his own wife for her standing ground against those who would speak against the spiritual faith she walked in for her own son. He barreled in many words only to belittle her speaking that she was grounding those good folks to the ground as if they were dirt to her. Yikes! No she was standing in faith and in belief that God would have His way in her son’s life.
Remember Proverbs 10:19 when words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent.
Yes, unbelief still speaks unbelief! Unbelief can kill you!

Even Jesus had those moved out of the room when He called a young girl back to life! Matthew 9:23-26 When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players and noisy crowd wailing, 24 He said to them, “Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him. 25 But when the crowd was put out side, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose. 26 And the report of this went out into all that land.

We must move those out of our hearing, those who speak lies should not be in our surroundings when believing for the true of God to invade our lives. We must hold truth and speak it as Jesus spoke and still speaks today! Yes, make room, yes make room for the living, and make room for Jesus, and yes, make room for those sleeping and resting in the Lord. (When the Lord is in our midst) Make room for change to come today! Let’s make room to enjoy the Lord’s presence, and enjoy the word He taught and make room to praise Him in the midst of trials and tribulations like we see today!

Yeah, some folks get a bad report and the rest of the crowd call in the professional mourners and play the flute acting like it is over. In this crowd were those with superficial grief that was evidenced by their ridicule. Jesus reigns over the demonic and this passage reveals any disease is directly attributable to the enemy, yes, Satan, the demonic against God and His plan.
If we truly know Jesus, we will know compassion of those in pain, fighting for their lives to live and hold onto Jesus in faith for their survival and those who have a “real” fight going on right now. May we not appear superficial and mock others who really stand in faith……for…...we cannot control the situation, nor can we control God, but let us not mock Him who can heal in a moment of time. Let us not be the ones who stand off with hypocritical attitude thinking it is over for them when the fight has been ongoing since the day of their birth! We fight against a real devil, but we also must know the victory we have only in Jesus Christ!

Let us not tell the mother of a critically ill child that she just needs to let go and let them die. Certainly let go if you have control issues, but this woman only held onto God by faith. Let us remember God has a plan and purpose and each of us who read this know God is in our midst and he knows our heart. But where is our heart found in all these messes of viruses, people losing their jobs, and people losing members either because they died or they bucked the standard of God and left home and their family to go back to live with their own parents because they cannot face tomorrow without that “comfort” they had as a youth. Folks, you and I must grow up in the Lord. We cannot remain children all our lives! Can you imagine being 80 years old and you need a diaper changed and the pablum washed off your face?

Again in this move: A few days passed, she continued speaking to him that he was loved and that God had purpose for his life. She continued telling him the truth. She would hold his hand and ask him to squeeze it letting her know the things she asked. And he began to respond …..! He responded when they, his mother and pastor asked him to show which specific basketball had certain awards and how many awards for that sport! (he played on a high school basketball team). They would mention one player by her right hand and another player was mentioned in the hand of the pastor. And they played a game with him! That took patience and took much love to do that for a teen lying in a coma!

What I did like about the movie is that she found all that she needed to know in regard to what her son required including the one with precise education for brain injuries for those who drown and remain without oxygen for up to 45 minutes, what he would encounter when he came out of coma they had placed him in, and where she should stand in her faith with the Lord! And the only person she allowed with her in that room was the “pastor”.  And she had not been fond of him up until this time of the sons' drowning. Her husband even walked in unbelief and was heard speaking in that unbelief within that first twenty-fours of the son's situation!

The other thing that showed up in the movie was that people left hate notes on his locker writing to show their attitude in why he lived and their mother, their father, their sister, their brother, their grandmother, their grandfather.... "_____________(fill in the blank) had died and he had lived. Even his teacher wondered why her husband had died and he had lived and this was on the day he returned to school! Yikes!
He left on his bike, and went to the park area, where the First-Responder was there seated on a park bench. He called him by name, and then they had conversation. The First-Responder too had heard God's voice in where to find the young boy under the ice in the cold and cloudy lake of that city of Wentzville. And he was a man who did not know Jesus, but finally met Him when by his job required him to suit up for icy waters in January.

God our Father desires us to live! He gave us life and we have new birth through His Son! Where is our faith located in these days?

I am telling you that the only peace that can be found today is in Jesus who came from heaven and in Him alone. I am telling you the only comfort, is the Holy Spirit who reminds us what Jesus has spoken. The only love, is from God our Father who created us with His thoughts in mind for us. Greater days are in store for those who love God and called according to His purpose. So all things will work together, for that good, in His plan, in His power and by that love when we keep focused that He is God and HE is not afraid, not startled, and is not consumed with what to do next. He is God and He will be seen by those who choose to remain in faith, who keep their eye on Him and not on the government, not on your own best friend nor on your own parents, unless you live at home and are under the age of 18 years of age!

Un-chartered territory is that faith walk, and is known by God for us and will we ask Him to show us great and mighty things we do not know? ( Jeremiah 33:3) Will we ask Him, believing in faith that we have what we have asked for ( Mark 11:23-24): not only for our nation, but for our neighbor, our family and those who may be pastors leading churches? Will we continue to venture out in the deep of God to see Him move in mighty ways to see His kingdom come on earth through us now in this hour?
Father may YOUR will be done on earth and may we be the steadfast, the disciplined and the equipped to stand in this hour for YOUR glory and to YOUR praise in this UN-chartered territory known as FAITH!

In the Silence of This Day

In the Silence of this day, will we not remember what Jesus spoke to us from the Cross? Will we remember what He told the Father when forgiving another was His utmost priority in losing no precious time with His Father: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

John 12:44-50 NKJV Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. 45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. 46 “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. 47 “And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words,, has that which judges him----the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. 49 “For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.” 50 “ And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”

Being intimately acquainted with the counsels of God, Jesus was faithful in communicating what the Father had given Him to speak. Jesus the faithful delivered souls for He spoke the truth, the whole counsel of God and nothing was held back.

Proverbs 19:20 Amplified Bible 20 Hear counsel,  receive instruction, and accept correction, that you may be wise in the time to come.

Psalm 19:7-11 Amplified Bible 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the [whole] person; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure and bright, enlightening the eyes. 9 the [reverent] fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous all together. 10 More to be desire are they than gold, even than much fine gold; they are sweeter also than honey and drippings from the honeycomb. 11 Moreover, by them is Your servant warned (reminded, illuminated, and instructed); & in keeping them there is great reward.

Our walk is to be one of faith in Jesus. Is there days or weeks that our faith walk takes a vacation? Do we vacate the speech regarded by God for some other form of speech? Are our words filled with Covid 19 or death? Or are our words filled with faith with trust in God and the best days for us are right before us now?

We were told in Luke 2:52 that Jesus at the age of 12 (verse 42) had increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men. Jesus had gone with His parents to the custom of the feast. But the boy lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Jesus was found among teachers in the Temple and was both listening to them and asking questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers! (verse 47)

Jesus came from God and was trustworthy to give to a world those things God had on His own heart for mankind. John 17:3  And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, & Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

"To Know YOU, the only true God"…and Jesus undertook the assignment to deliver it to us….to be reminded of God the righteous Judge and Jesus the Mediator between God & man.

The Testimony of the Lord is Sure:1 John 5:9-12 Amplified Bible 9 If we accept [as we do] the testimony of men [ if we are willing to take human authority], the testimony of God is greater ( of stronger authority), for this is the testimony of God, even the witness which He has borne regarding His Son. 10 He who believes in the Son of God [ who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] has the testimony [possesses this divine attestation] within himself.

He who does not believe God [in this way] has made Him out to be and represented Him as a liar, because he has not believed (put his faith in, adhered to, and relied on) the evidence ( the testimony) that God has borne regarding His Son.    11 And this is that testimony ( that evidence); God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son of God does not have that life.

In His last moments before dying, Luke 23: 43 "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."  The criminal who hung next to Him, feared God. He knew he hung there for what was wrong to do and in Jesus, he saw truth revealed that Jesus had done nothing wrong. He spoke to Jesus: Luke 23:42 :"Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom."

And in Luke 23:45 we are told: Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit." Having said this, He breathed His last.

Jesus came speaking of the Father and in His last moments He had spoken again. In the darkness that fell, the ground quaked and it shook all that surrounded those people who saw Jesus go to the Cross. Those who experienced Him in Nazareth, Galilee, in Capernaum and Jerusalem, who had a glimpse of the truth, ran headlong into darkness and emptiness without Him.

Will our day be in silence in thinking on that moment that occurred some two thousand years ago? Will our only thought be on what we will try to do to make another week in quarantine and the shut-down by men's own voices and hands or will we lift our voices in praise to Him Who removed the veil, and removed that which blocked our access to the Father?
Will we lift our voice in worship to Him who hears from heaven? For God is not dead. No He is surely alive and in Him we today celebrate Resurrection. Because the Cross and DEATH could not hold Him, and we are not held in isolation but free in the spirit to worship Him, to touch heaven and change earth in the here and in the now of this moment.

No isolation here, God's presence surrounds us, and He is joy in our midst! The true will seek out the true God, and will search with a heart that is praising without any reservations no matter the circumstance or season; they will smile though their world is breaking apart….because they remind themselves of the good the Lord has done to them and through them.

We should remember that He spoke He would never leave us nor forsake us…For this which the Lord God gives is a fullness of the soul, it fills us up with joy, is a reminder of His goodness & how great He truly is…….in the depths of  hurt, pain & much grief… whether due to the loss of a loved one to a virus, or a loss of employment, still the Cross is revealed &  the Tomb is opened to allow power & glory to come in....and it comes to those who accept and receive readily…the Holy Spirit Who appeared to empower us who would receive Jesus as Lord, the Shepherd of our souls and lead us in paths of righteousness! We truly forgive those who have erred against us, and we ask You Lord to forgive them for they know not what they do!

Today we choose to draw from the depths of our heart where God’s word is planted to speak that length, the depth, the width and height of it, so God's love is revealed when we speak.  If that word of God is not there, then we speak amiss, our actions are that of the world and not of God!

In the silence of this day, will we remember Him who gave up His life to gain ours? In the silence of this day, will we experience God, not by the gushing pangs of emotions, but by the true warmth of His presence that is encouraging, is strengthening and willing to release more of His love to us and through us in these days set before us? Because God is not dead, and we live by His breath in us to live this day, and move and have our being that represents Him, the Lord of glory!
Father, we give thanks for this day for it is a day You made for us! We live for Your glory and to Your praise. We come out on top because You are our VICTORY!
