What about Being Rid of Jesus?

Any one of the world does not like Jesus. They choose to to divide those they despise! They choose to try the Jewish nation and find them guilty. In 1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 7 Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.

Those who refuse God cannot hear us. They hear not the truth of God or His Son Jesus Christ!  Jeremiah 43:11 NKJV  11 When he comes, he shall strike the land of Egypt and deliver to death those appointed for death, and to captivity those appointed for captivity, and to the sword those appointed for the sword.

Even today, people are choosing the path they want to take. They go after that "want" and not the "need". In Jeremiah 43, the prophet Jeremiah provides an excellent example of the level of control God maintains in an apparently chaotic situation. In this context the prophecy that Nebuchadnezzar will conquer Egypt is revealed. In this, [Nebuchadnezzar] will defeat Egypt. He will bring death to those who are supposed to die at moments notice!. He will capture those who are supposed to be captured. He will kill in battle those who are supposed to be killed in battle. (Jeremiah 43:11, God's Word Translation)

In other translations, some verbs list doomed or destined to.....as "those which are destined to die" or "those who will doomed for captivity".

In the tense action of any battle, confusion will reign. And it is God Who will remain in control. He knows precisely whom He wants to live and whom He wants to die. Nebuchadnezzar did not have that knowledge; his generals did not; and certainly, his foot soldiers did not. If they had known it, they could not reliably have implemented God's will in the heat of battle. ( If you think about today, even those God has chosen for captivity will go, and hell is a long dark place for eternity for many.)

God, though, knew His plans for each individual and controlled the situation precisely to bring about His planned end. That is why God can be so specific in Ezekiel 5:1-2, using the fraction “one-third.” God will maintain control to ensure that one-third will be burned in the fire, another third scattered in the wind, and so on.  A second witness of this concept, using similar rhetoric, appears at Jeremiah 15:2:

And when they ask you, “Where shall we go?” you shall say to them, “Thus says the Lord: Those who are for pestilence, to pestilence, and those who are for the sword, to the sword;  those who are for famine, to famine, and those who are for captivity, to captivity.”  (English Standard Version)

And what do we see for the future:  An echo of this concept of control sounds in Christ's words, recorded at Revelation 13:10: If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes;  if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. [ESV]

Interestingly, this verse ends with a call for patience and faith during extremely rough times: “Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.” The horrific events of the Day of the Lord might well cause God's elect to question His level of control—perhaps even His beneficence. This will be a year requiring consummate faith and patience on the part of God's people. They must truly know that God's actions during that Day will not be chaotic or haphazard. What is coming in 2026 reminds us that God is for those who love Him.

Christ will look at each man's heart and if it is the least bit corrupted by sin, that man, not being pure, will receive the justice of hell. The believer too would fail this test, if he were not already made clean by his baptism into Christ's death. Thus he is rightly judged clean by Christ and enters into eternal Sabbath.

In God's justice, we can find a comfort for all the wrongs perpetrated against us and against mankind. We know that our cruel boss who cheated us for so many years will receive what he deserves. We know that the politician who did wrong to gain personal power will receive justice. We know that killers like Hitler, and Stalin will receive justice.  And have we not seen many choosing to take a life because of certain beliefs. There are those who want "control" and use anyway to get that power.

Here we see another passage, and in this Jews sought to kill Jesus. They say He broke the Sabbath and made Himself equal with God.

John 5:18-23 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that he Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23” that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

Judgment has been committed to the Son. Yes, He whom the world wants to be rid of for they choose to sin and commit fraud.

As our homes must be cleansed so does our soul and body. God cleans with His Holy Spirit and the water of the Word of God. In decorating with God's word, we go from trauma to life in Him. In the cleansing, we find repentance required. It is turning back to God and His plan for life. The maintenance is by our faith in Him and is the powerhouse for living today. In that powerhouse of prayer, we live by faith receiving by believing in Him.

Our focus is to be on life in Him. It is on Him, His riches by grace, glory and goodness. What counts in reality is the eternity with Him and not on the lesser of the earthly man seeks today.

If we dwell on the earthly, say like singing. Is it truly something one can do or is it just seeking the great lights and fame one desires? If it is about starting a business, is it about our ego or creating a business that will hire people, create a product people can use in safety and be about loving that place people dwell.  What about being a doctor or a lawyer? Is it about Jesus in us to be the best doctor or lawyer or just to be crooked in business and dealing with others?

Jesus came to deliver what the Father sent Him to do. Jesus came to bring the kingdom of God on earth. And the angels said it was good will to men on earth to men. Yet, we have many today who lie, cheat, and tell many Jesus was just another man.  They curse His name and think cruelly about Him.

For us, He is healing, provider, and Prince of Peace. In this season, we know Him to be truth to His word.  While we breathe we hope. We hope in His return to earth. We hope in the His word, and promise to us about this life now and that of the future. God is in control,  and is the powerhouse to that control. The loudness of His control can be heard. The greater their violence, the greater His control.  His love is absorbed into our hearts and His hand holds us tightly. We will not let go. In this season, we reach for Him, call out and ask to share our heart and know He will show us great and mighty things we did not know. Amen.

Painful Thorns

What a difference 50 years makes in one's life!

What was held in disgust years ago, people do it so willingly today. Was seeing a teaching on what the swimsuits looked like in the twenties and thirties of the 20th century. Everyone had on clothes, but was meant for swimming. Each dressed, the man in his slacks and the woman in a two piece suit covering from the neck to passed the knees. Today it is anything goes. You have a display of nudity in all forms on the beaches today. Sad to say, many have fallen into the culture theme of being free in sin. I remember the Rockettes of yesteryear. Those dancers in NYC were in the Macy's parade over Thanksgiving. What appeared were very thin women. What once looked like healthy dancers, with an amount of muscle on the legs and arms, today they are skin and bone ....Was wondering if it had to do with people losing weight just to be thin. What would Jesus think today?

Jesus was the “meek” man. He humbled Himself before the Father to walk in His steps regarding His image and the foundation of the work to be set forever in His word.

In God's perspective, people who humble themselves, are these people who are strong, while from a human perspective, it depends on whom they want to impress. You can see that in the story of those who impressed David’s son instead of staying alongside David as the King! ( of Ahithophel’s advice to the King seen in 2 Samuel 16, 17, and what occurs in 18) Ahithophel commits suicide out of bitterness in 2 Samuel 17:23.

At the point of Grace, we choose whom we will serve. We are told over and over to forgive those who have done something against us. Yes, and that can occur daily in this world we live in today!

But Humility is so important that God gave Paul some help to make sure that he would stay humble: 2 Corinthians 12:6-10 NKJV 6 For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to or hears from me. 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Yet, this “thorn” in the flesh is a person. We know this because we see it in the Old Testament: Ezekiel 28:22- 24 NKJV “Behold, I am against you, O Sidon; I will be glorified in your midst; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I executed judgments in her and am hallowed in her. For I will send pestilence upon her and blood in her streets; the wounded shall be judge in her midst by the sword against her on every side; then they shall know that I am the LORD. 24 “And there shall not longer be a pricking brier or a “painful thorn for the house of Israel from among all who around them, who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the LORD GOD.”

From this verse 24, we see that insults of the nations are compared to prickly briers and painful thorns. Numbers 33:55 ‘But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall be that those whom you let remain shall be irritants in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land where you dwell. 56 Moreover it shall be that I will do to you as I thought to do to them.’”

In this year, we certainly have the irritants of painful thorns. You expect truth and get that which relates to honoring the evil and to destroy the good!

From the time of Jesus, His walk was about the persistent heart giving the kingdom of God that had come: the Gospel! Jesus was effective in that He laid down His life and could take it up again because He spoke it into being. Paul saw the power of Jesus’ walk and proved to be an effective servant of God.

So humility has a dominant thrust in it where appears a willingness to submit to God, to what is His truth and remain in it to give to others. These two willingly submit to giving their whole life into God’s glory. So what would be the level of our humble hearts? Ephesians 4:3 …endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Unity with each begins in the unity each of us has with God. And it is within that unity with God you can keep unity with others.

So in returning to Ahithophel we find a most fascinating character. In 2 Samuel 15: 12 Ahithophel was a trusted counselor to King David. He was also a member of his cabinet. The King relied on Ahithophel’s advise as if he spoke from God himself seen 2 Samuel 16:23.

Ah yes, but things changed for the “bad”. It was David’s son Absalom that led a rebellion against him. and in this rebellion Ahithophel betrayed David by joining with rebellious Abasalom. AND we can know the king’s heart on this matter when David recounts those painful laments of heart when a trusted Ahithophel betrayed him in Psalm 41:8-9 and Psalm 55:12-15.

Psalm 55:12-16 NKJV For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; then I could hide from him. 13 but it was you, a man my equal, My companion and my acquaintance. 14 We took sweet counsel together and walked to the house of God in the throng. 15 Let death seize them; let them do down alive into hell, for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them. 16 As for me, I will call upon God, and the LORD shall save me.

AHITHOPHEL: whose name means “foolishness” certainly proved to be the foolish man and it was indicated in his first meeting with Absalom in 2 Samuel 15:12. Yes the rebellion was on! And some parts of historical record give a light on what occurred to make Ahithophel do what he did to the king! In historic background, Ahithophel was the father Eliam found in 1 Chronicles 3:5. And then the grandfather of Bathsheba, so this was a personal ordeal for the man who knew the king and had worked side by side with him. Yes, David as the king with loose morals at this time defiled another man’s wife. Instead of being on the front lines in battle with his men, David stayed in the palace and then had his eye on the lovely Bathsheba bathing.  So in this corrupted action on David’s part, Ahithophel’s sense of wrong crowded his thinking.

Yes, David was king but was to be the honorable and here he slipped terribly in the acts of murder of Bathsheba's husband Uriah the Hittite. What Ahithophel proposed in his pursuit of David is given in 2 Samuel 17:1…… Ahithophel gives Absalom advice: “Now let me choose twelve thousand men and I will arise and pursue David tonight. 2 I will come upon him while he is weary and weak and make him afraid. And all the people who are with him will flee and I will strike the king.

It was a personal hostility that Ahithophel held for David. 1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world. 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Through the Gospel, revelation of truth is power. And in the operation of God’s power through this gospel is victory over sin and death. But to the Jews, this very message of Christ crucified signaled weakness and proved Jesus the false Messiah. The Jews looked for signs instead of in Messiah’s power ( Isaiah 35; 61)  The Jews stumbled in this truth. And of course to the Gentile mind-set, they held no messianic expectations. No, they held only what a deity should be like, so the message of Christ crucified was foolishness to them.

Yes, David did try to hide his corrupted acts. He treated this young woman terribly and her husband even worse. He wanted her to sleep with her own husband to hide his dilemma her creating a child within her womb. But the honorable Uriah would not do that while the men he fought with would not have the same thing available to them. David proceeds with another act of betrayal to place Uriah on the front line of the battle. Yes, death would occur to this young man.

Ahithophel most likely burned in his thinking that became a hate with a force behind it! So Absalom set to take David’s throne, and he, Ahithophel, must have thought some kind of good must have turned towards him in favor, but David prayed in 2 Samuel 15:31 “O LORD I pray, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!”  Remember David had already prayed in Psalm 55!

In Ahithophel’s  counsel to Absalom to immediately attack David before he can regroup, a change occurs in a dramatic way.  A loyal friend to David, Hushai pretends to have turned to Absalom’s side and urges him to delay an attack. It was God causing Absalom to heed Husahi’s advice and Ahithophel realizes a fatal mistake. In bitterness, he knows that God will not punish David now. No, because David repented and prayed for God’s hand on the outcome of his own stupid behavior.

In despair it was Ahithophel who would die:  “He put his house in order and then hanged himself (2 Sam 17:23). In prayer, David displayed anguish. He wrote of betrayal in Psalm 55:13-14.  A seemingly spiritual companion betrayed David in verse 13: “ but it was you, a man my equal, my companion and my acquaintance”.

2 Samuel 15:31 Then someone told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, “O LORD I pray, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

Humility goes hand in hand with meekness. Jesus the meek had a restraint being held in the “kind, the gentle, and the sensitive to others’ needs. This is done in truth, with no lying and stealing. They are those who will agree with that which is God’s word. They will not argue God’s word, neither will they insist on their own way in it. People could approach Jesus! They could speak with Him and He would return that which was life to them. He was and is the meek but He is not the “weak”! Like Jesus we are to be the firm and the uncompromising regarding following truth. And what is revealed to us is that Jesus did not overwhelm others who were aligned against Him.

God’s grace has been poured out to us! People who know their Lord and God are the blessed and it shows! We too can enjoy this abundance of grace. We should let people go and give them over to God.

Matthew 6:14-15 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” 15 “But if you do not forgive me their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Jesus hung on a Cross at Calvary and forgave the one who hung there with Him. Jesus told the man that he would be with Him in Paradise. The other went his way into hell. It was one who held onto Jesus the Son of God, the Savior of the world. Painful thorns indeed appear in our walk. But we keep our eyes on Jesus! You can see insanity in the world, but peace is found in the Lord alone!

Protesting

Protesting is demanding what, an entitlement or a truth! Protests in the city near here has brought naked people forward. Yikes! Not sure what a naked body has to do with protesting against the leader of this nation, but please put some clothes on now. Some protesting bring weapons to kill another, yet others come dressed like four-footed animals.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man ----and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Most certainly if one removes their outer garments and only skin is revealed what is revealed is a heart with wrong motivations. Certainly we should pay attention to scripture to steer our heart in diligence. As we grow in God's word we become more convicted about sin in our lives. The relationship knowing Christ keeps us strong in our daily walk of life!  We are to hides God's word in our heart: Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

The heart brings joy: “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones” (Proverbs 17:22).

Proverbs 15:13  A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance

Proverbs 23:7 For as he things in his heart, so is he.

Heard an actor speak on a podcast how the Constitution has socialism in it. Not! The Constitution speaks of having a social walk in freedom that is brought by God. Another Congressman said what he hears today is troubling. This man a democrat is fearing truth of God and the freedom that word brings to people who walk in faith toward to God.

Proverbs 26:23 Fervent lips with a wicked heart are like earthenware covered with silver dross. 24 He who hates, disguises it with his lips, and lays up deceit within himself.

Proverbs 27:19  As in water face reflects face, so a man's heart reveals the man.

When we have joy in our hearts, it can’t help but spill out to those who are around us. What joy to bring the medicine of cheerfulness to others, not because every situation is great, but because God is greater than any situation. Our joy is renewed as we stay in the presence of God through prayer and Bible study. The key to having a joyful heart is to keep our minds stayed on God and His grace over our lives.

Some prophetic words given in the last few months are pointing to a calendar, and one points as tap, tap, tap on a curtain month, change is coming. The next month for that change is the month of November when, what a million people rely on the snap program! It is out of funds and food pantry's are low of food for those in need. Where is the joy that God can meet us in that need?

The heart leads to salvation: “For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved” (Romans 10:10).

Salvation begins with a believing heart. It’s in our hearts that the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and beckons us to come to the cross. When we choose to respond in faith, our hearts are changed through the power of the Holy Spirit and we are never the same. The key to salvation in the heart is through accepting the Savior Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for our sins.

Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people

1.   Righteous behavior is seen

2.   Promoting only wickedness brings reproach & people mourn: It appears when people change the true definition of marriage …that between one man & one woman, it appears when people have affairs outside of marriage, who favor drugs and legalize it, it appears when alcohol is glamorized & showcased as a “good-timebut many fall under its magic & drive influenced by it to either kill someone or die themselves because of it…

3.   Wickedness oppresses & when other things are valued above God, then wickedness will ultimately bring ruin to a people, to a state and to a nation…..I pray that not happen to this nation of the United States…

4. A commercial on television reveals the man getting his drug of Fentanyl from a dealer. He tells how this drug promotes his body to decay and his organs to shut down as to that of an old man. He dies alone with his drug of destruction!

The heart establishes a giving attitude: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

No believer should ever need to give in compulsion; rather our hearts are touched by God to give as He prompts us. We give to the kingdom of God not because we hope to get something back—but rather we give out of thankfulness for which the Lord has given to us. The key to giving out of a cheerful heart is to remember all the many blessings that God has showered on us.

The heart is guarded by peace :“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).

One of the best blessings in being a believer in Jesus Christ is the peace that rises above every life situation. We are to understand Jesus has been made peace unto us. ( Ephesians 2:14)  While others are fretting with worry, believers have the power of the Holy Spirit to guard their hearts and minds with peace that has no human explanation. Having peace allows believers to continue to go through hardship and painful situations without regret.  Darkness appears at times in the walk of the believer, but God's word is a lamp unto our feet. The key to having peace in our hearts is surrendering all our prayers to God.

Anxiety is one which causes trouble for many. Anxiety can attack your nerves and change things in your body. We must act on God's speaking and to be still before Him. We are to do His commands and do it without fear of God or man. Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

That fear opens doors to other things than what we might fear like: riding in elevators, riding an escalator, going up in a hot-air balloon or riding the waves with a kite board! Fear opens up doors to cancer and the such. You might confess cancer, but fear of something you have might open a door to that cancer.

To be set on heaven:“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God” (Colossians 3:1).

When our hearts are set on heaven, we can rise above the problems of the world and in our own life. We are not set on entitlements nor riding someone's coat tails into any luxury or extra wealth. You and I can look to the heavens and know that our God lives and moves all around us. Setting our hearts on things above releases us from the bondage's of materialism and seeking after " that " selfish gain. We are moved to live with a heavenly destination in mind at all times. The key to having a heart set on heaven is stepping back and realigning all of our desires with "that" heavenly gain in mind.

Is heaven on our mind:Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!   Heaven is seen when there is a submission and teachable spirit within us. There is not growth in the kingdom without obedience to Jesus' commandments and one with a childlike responsiveness to the teaching of the word of God. There is no lifelong increase of fruit as a citizen of the kingdom without a willingness to accept Holy Spirit's correction and guidance.

Heart is motivated to work: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters” (Colossians 3:23).

There is a greater desire to work if the focus remains on God and not on man. The key to a heart that is motivated at work is grounded in the knowledge that God is in control.

So in that walk of protesting......... Do we protest to get things we think we are entitled to in this life.  Like is there a heritage where you think people have been forsaken to get more land, more wealth, and more entitlements? I have seen in the state next to Wyoming where Indigenous folks tear down new homes they were given. They took off the front doors and then removed the appliances. Every window and every thing not nailed down was removed. By winter less than two years later, no one could stay there because of the cold and snow on the ground. I have some Cherokee in me, but not enough to say I am entitled. My parents would tell me to work and not expect hand-outs.  And I cannot see how giving one something they have never worked for to be a people who will never keep what is given them.

Just as the body can’t function well without a healthy heart, neither can the Christian with a spiritual heart—we will be sluggish in our work, hard at hearing God’s word, and slow to recognize His presence. The consistent disciplines of the Christian faith of prayer, Bible study, and fellowship will keep our spiritual heart's pumping strong towards our eternal destination.

Purity of heart is a work in progress in which both God and man share responsibility. Many scriptures show that God will cleanse by pardoning sin. But our responsibility in cleansing is very important and frequently mentioned along with what we must do to be cleansed. Notice how clearly James shows purifying is our responsibility: "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded" (James 4:8). So how is this purifying done? Well in 1 Peter 1:22 makes a summary statement: "Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart." Obedience to the truth through the Spirit purifies our character by inculcating right habits within it.

So what if we do not do that? Take those who smoke, they are trying to fight their addiction to cigarettes when they should fight rebellion first. My mother was a smoker for many decades and did not quite till she was like 82 years old. She was in rebellion because she was told not to do that thing. She had other issues from her young life and rebellion showed up! Was hearing about those who have things like schizophrenia and they too are to take a fight against their rebellion first before the other thing. Likely one had childhood trauma, and possible drug use. So knowing the cause will help fight the thing.

Protest taking anything you should not. Likewise protest those who are stealing from you. Money put back for children and grandchildren is being set aside for illegals. In recent days we had Columbus Day. He Christopher Columbus was born-again. He kept a journal as he traveled over the many waves of water to reach a new land. He was an immigrant seeking to find people, create cities and plans for a future.

It was Christopher Columbus who discovered America in 1492. He wrote one book and it was called “Book of Prophecies”…..he said he could not have reached America without prayer and guidance of the Holy Spirit.   Like Columbus, we can choose to ask the Holy Spirit to guide us. In every opportunity, He will use that language of Tongues to pray for our calling, to pray out the plan of God, to edify us, and to charge us with HOLY power. He will lend Himself to us as our faith allows Him to be activated within our spirit. He will pull us out of everything Jesus set us free from and into everything Jesus says that we are in HIM.  People who choose not to do as much as Christopher Columbus will blame him for something. We see that going on in cities of these United States. Naked does nothing for you. We are to be clothing ourselves with the new man every time we give ourselves to the Word of God and to prayer. Praying in the Spirit will edify our spirit man, purge us and develop our character until everything we do and everything we say is “governed by the love of God”.

That True Justice

Zechariah 7: 8-10 Then the word of the LORD came to Zechariah, saying, 9
Thus says the LORD of hosts: Execute true justice, show mercy and compassion everyone to his brother. 10 Do not oppress the widow of the fatherless, the alien or the poor. Let none of you plan evil in his heart against his brother.

How many people will reject the truth of God and do their own thing? Clear instruction is given to ensure Israel would have the favor of God.  Refusing to hear the Word of the Lord, judgment was swift as God scattered them among all nations.

Many have seen compassion given to those coming illegal to these states, for much was given in that mercy and then you find given that much, they dig in and ask for more. Does that sound like us at times?

Sin is Sin. It is that which separates us from God. Then doing wrong is to be given light and reveal the correct word to set a forward motion and a way of walking that has a destination in God!

Let’s consider America. Are we not the greatest "Christian" nation that has ever graced this earth? We are known for distributing Bibles all over the world and I hear many tell of the vast amount of money that has been given by America to more charitable works than practically all the nations in the world combined!  But that kind of thing can cause pride & give us a thinking of how grand we are, when the word of God’s holy word is not ingrained in the thinking of Who He is & ..oh, but surely the Lord is with this nation, right….?   Not when you have a society trying to change the constitution and the Bill of Rights to empower those who have no legal right as an illegal who crossed with no regard to the laws of that nation.

G   Go raise your nations flag in that nation. If choosing to live here, then learn English the primary language. Get a job and pay your bills with the money obtained. If your Insurance is paying your rent then something is wrong in that thing.

From  Amos 5:13  NKJV  13 Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time,  For it is an evil time. In this nation, the people feared to protest openly the injustices in their society.  And why would people be afraid of pointing the finger at somebody who is doing wrong? The main reason was that they knew that if they did, that would be the end of their advancement in society and at work. They did not want to blow the whistle on anybody else because they would get the reputation of being a troublemaker—and there went their future.  Even in this day and time, we have heard of those who held positions considered great cause the whistle blowers to disappear.

Many today are told to just look away. Be prudent indeed!  "You would not want to spoil your prospects with this company would you? Just look the other way. Keep your eyes shut. Prudent: The simple believes every word, but the prudent considers well his steps. Proverbs 14:15

Sure, this isn't quite legal. Sure, we are getting these things and people into the country illegally. But what difference does it make? If you just keep your eyes shut, the company will pay you, and you will get ahead." Thus, those who wanted to succeed just kept their mouths shut. The evil went on.

But those who fear God are concerned of the righteous community with Him. That man will do everything in his power to create a righteous community, whether that righteous community is his family, his neighborhood, or his church.

Am in this awe where this peace is taking place in the Middle East. Am in awe that people see it a certain way, yet looking at this we must consider after the peace is in place for awhile. For those who consider themselves Palestinians , of which we know does not exist,  will make sure they have their own state. In that two union state, like any married union between man and woman will bring an amount of frequent disagreements. And when this occurs, the peace will be over and Israel will be the target again.  When one wants their own way, fight begins to seeking that one wins.

That true justice exists in the word of God.  In chapters 1-3 of Revelation the church is spoken about.  In chapters 4-5 the church is in heaven. Then in Revelation 6, the action is revealed on earth. Not sure how they would rate the violence in this scene.

Revelation 6:1-2 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, "Come and see."  2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

He who is one earth, antichrist, is now giving out his orders to conquer. No peace on earth. It is given here that seals will be opened as to Conflict on earth on earth verses 3-4. Revelation 6:5-6 is the third seal that of scarcity on earth. For the fourth seal: widespread death on the earth. In the verses 9-11 is the cry of the martyrs. In Revelation 6:12-17 is the sixth seal where the cosmic disturbances begin.

Daniel 11:21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably , and seize the kingdom by intrigue.

This person will come in by peace and implement war to conquer!

The Lord will set forth His seals of judgment.  Six signs during the  great tribulation: the anti-Christ will break his covenant with Israel and he will enter Judea to take over Jerusalem as his capital and the Jewish temple as his capital building: Daniel 9:27; Daniel 11:40-45; Daniels 12: and verse 7. 2 Thessalonians 2:4…Revelation 11:1-2  Israel will flee from Judea. Armies of antichrist attack and the Jew must leave their valuables behind.

Tribulation of  3 1/2 years proceeds Daniel 9:27; Daniel 11:40-45; Jeremiah 30:4-7; Revelation 7:14  Jews not the church....  Judgment of the nations based on treatment of Israel ( Matthew 25:31-46)  Then great tribulation: satanic powers manifesting 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12; Revelation 13:1-18; Revelation 16:13-16; Revelation 19:20; Daniel 8:24.

When evil appears, it is because evil has been done to a people. We must look out for our neighbor but not cheat them. They are not to cheat us either. God is true Justice. Jesus is coming to Zion and not Jerusalem. God is our peace. For Jesus was made peace unto us. In that we see our justice coming. And for those looking out for their own desires, watch out, for evil will visit evil!

Where There is No Lack

In the last week, a government was shut down. In that many are being laid off their work. Those affected will be loud in the streets!

Matthew  7: 24-29 NKJV “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, & does them, ‘I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock, 25 “& the rain descended, the floods came, & the winds blew & beat on that house, & it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, & does not do them, will be like the foolish man who built his house on the sand, 27 “& the rain descended & beat on that house & it fell, And great was its fall.” 28 & so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority & not as the scribes.

Those who put their trust in the Lord, with all our hearts gain understanding. Proverbs 3: 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

We are to acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. It is more than one path. In a direct contact with the Lord, one that is of intimacy, each of us will know our paths! Each path is straight, it is for the upright in God. It is always the pleasing and the good.

In the previous verse found in Proverbs 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.

In wise living we will avoid all the things that shorten your life. But many are on the outside of the justice of God. They will bargain with anything to gain the advantage over another person. They will do that even to the President. Have you seen it in these last days?

You and I must deal accurately with people. We are to be the honest and transparent in our dealings. But those who choose to make those deals in getting that heart's desire find they are in a bad deal ending up with emptiness and falsehood.

Sa  Saw a lady head to the west coast yesterday seeking justice for those who fight to keep this nation one under God. She is one of many who seek justice to those who live righteously here and now under God. Any justice of God is to keep His own safe and anyone breaking those rules and laws are to repent and turn.

But it is too easy for many to get free stuff. And when the government shuts down, the free is cut off indeed. If Jesus is truly the Lord of our hearts, then His reign is health to us, He is prosperity, happiness and peace. Our justice is wisdom from God. And it is inexhaustible which guides us daily in this life and into our future!

2 Corinthians 4: 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:17-19 For He received from God the Father honor & glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.” 18 we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns & the morning star rises in your hearts.

Jesus brought light to reveal error when darkness had appeared through sin.  The word confirmed for salvation, healing & deliverance…to live for God by faith in obedience to Him:  John 14:6  NKJV  6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth & the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. It is the walk of faith in Him!   Having Jesus, is sinning no more!

Matthew 9:12 When Jesus heard that, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13  “But go and learn what this means: “I desire mercy and not sacrifice.” For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.’

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. ( This was addressing the sins of the priests in the life of Hosea)

Hosea 6:5-7  Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets, I have slain them by the words of My mouth; and your judgments are like light that goes forth, 6 For I desire mercy & not sacrifice & the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. 7 But like men they transgressed the covenant. There they dealt treacherously with Me.

Men dealt treacherously with Jesus. Men dealt treacherously with Dr. Martin Luther King. Men will deal treacherously with you. Anyone who shines a light in those dark places will be subject to the violence of treacherous men!

For us, you and I we see mercy daily. In a covenant of love to those who have experiences it in their own relationships with God, we can extend it to others. We both will pray for those who break laws in this nation for their own heart's desire. We extend mercy and believe in justice!

Those who know that love can extend the kingdom of God….those who know the Healer will see themselves speak comfort to those who mourn and bring light in the darkest heart to see the goodness of God!     Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! 38 See! Your house is left to you desolate 39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!”

Not receiving Jesus is seeking the empty. Not taking Him in our hearts is those seeking the world's wisdom. Jesus told the Jewish nation their house was left to them desolate. And seventy years later it came to pass!

God has no lack in heaven! God has ways to get things to us. He can show you when you are willing to put forth some effort! That effort is getting a job. It is doing something for your community. It is willing to help your neighbor. But scripture reminds us not all use scripture nor do they know God!

In Romans 10 we are reminded of this:

Romans 10:1-3……….(1) Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. (2) For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. (3) For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. NKJV

Paul accurately records that the Israelites had a zeal, "but not according to knowledge."

1.   They operated in much confusion.

2.   The apostle Paul before his conversion had a misdirected zeal. You can say his zeal as a Pharisee compelled him, and bound him to thoughts to see Christ and those of  the “Way” to be enemies.

3.   They were those who were enemies to his early fathers and to the faith they held for their God. And of course the case against him at the beginning and before his conversion on the road to Damascus…….was he had put many of them into prison. But his zeal also killed!

WHEN true knowledge is still lacking. Today they have thrown out responsibility to law and substituted a specious faith. Justification is by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it I the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

As to poetry: a design produced by an artisan, a product of conversion: a balance to us, a symmetry/order. We are God’s poem, His work of ART!   He that begun this work in us: it is he that is a good thing: Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

His word will produce benefits: will be in a physical sense, a good thing,, an attractiveness, an excellence. This is ALWAYS bases on God’s goodness, His faithfulness not on our own!

Faith in God produces Order in the Law: Romans 2: 13  ( for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; Romans 7:7-12 NKJV 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” 9 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. 10 and the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. 12 Therefore, the law is holy and the commandment holy and just and good.

Law pointed to the spiritual of man and spiritual death of him!

1.   From Romans 2:13: as the believer, we trust by faith, we hear and then we obey

2.    Listening is not enough: we must obey ! The only in-corrupt doer of the law was Jesus, the righteous One!

3.   The law is holy, just and good, He presented it in His perfect and eternal holiness.

If the actual law has been done away with, then there is no such thing as sin—but sin certainly exists! James explains that the faith that is "living" obeys the royal law .

(James 2:8-12 NKJV  if you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love our neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12  So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

In Romans 7:8 we are told not to covet. Covetousness is idolatry. It is seen in the activity of the human heart. It is in those from across the border to those living in these United States.  In this covetousness, it is a deed of the body. It is a heart craving, that wanting and enjoying with something treasured more than God. It is paying war lords back money owed to get across a border because someone coveted what Americans have. It is coveting a neighbors house or their husband or wife. An idol written by Paul is a disordered love or desire.  It is putting on those cowboy boots and kicking high in idolatry that gives song to the dark side!

So we might have that idol in heart. I hope we do not. But should you love a girlfriend more, a sport more and maybe your yard more than God, then it is a bad thing. Where there is no lack is finding home in the heart of God. Where there is no lack is knowing His heart and His plan for you. And it is not stealing from Joe, Fred or Jenny to pay war lords or gang leaders. Get a job, pay your fair share and be a part of something good. Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 1 this: You turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God and to wait for His Son from heaven whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. So when we turn to Christ from idols, we escape the wrath of God because He is for us! Thank YOU Lord for the Cross!

Where there is no lack it is not worshiping dead people as grandparents or great grandparents. It is not bringing a ritual of death and calling it your heritage. Only God can create and He can cast into Hell! (Matthew 10:28 and Luke 12:4-7) Will we be citizens of heaven or hell?

Fearing God involves trust and not terror. He makes sure there is no lack for you or  me!
