There is Something in the Water

Is there found something in a flood? It entails much debris as to logs from trees, the remains of a once fine barn and even several cars or SUV's. There is something in the water. Around here we find high rising waters from a lot of excess rain bringing much devastation to downtown areas on the lovely seaside of Oregon. They show the excess water surrounding cafe's, coffee shops, banks and a dress store. Water surrounding complete towns is seen and no one stirs. It happened fifteen years ago in many of these areas due to the rising water of several creeks and rivers. Saw a picture of majestic Snoqualmie Falls in northern Washington. It is flowing in floods of torrents creating rainbows at times. It is loud in volume. It is making its wrath known in the area of farm homes and business' alike.

There is something in the water. When in church some 25 years ago I remember the pastor talking about prayer time. In it he mentioned people asking the Lord what was beneath the water of a situation. He told us to ask the Lord what was there that could potentially bring destruction and despair. I still ask the Lord what is beneath the troubled waters. Sincerely He would respond in the respect of a person having an opposite view from God.  Troubled waters were making a noise loud and clear. One could know just by asking the right question to God Himself!

As the righteous we can know some things. God helps us to see and know. Many times we think He owes it to us, but in truth we only know by being holy before Him.

God lives in His holiness, and it is from righteousness that our relation with God is shared.  It is God's holiness that is realized in righteousness. "God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness" (Isa 5:16). So Isaiah's peculiar phrase, "the Holy One of Israel," brings God in His most exalted being into a relation of knowledge and moral reciprocity with Israel.

1 Samuel 2:2 — "No one is holy like the Lord."

Psalm 99:2-3 — The Lord is great in Zion, and He is high above all the peoples. Let them praise Your great and awesome name-He is holy.

Isaiah 6:3 — "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!"

Revelation 4:8 — "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!"

Hannah spoke this about God in 1 Samuel 2:2 “There is none more holy like the Lord, there is none besides You, there is no Rock like our God.  Hannah was speaking of His divinity not to a characteristic of God.

He is Peace : God is Jehovah-shalom. This name means “the God of peace.” We are meant to know the fullness of God’s perfect peace, or His “shalom.” God’s peace surpasses understanding and sustains us even through difficult times. It is the product of fully being what we were created to be. —Judges 6:16-24

There is something in the water! Today, not noted on the news but a believer who studies the end times wrote that the places that were filled to capacity before covid 19 are not almost like ghost areas, halls and theme parks. Places in Las Vegas are begging Canadians to come visit ! The great theme park of this nation is about to lay off how many hundreds because the middle-class cannot afford it anymore due to the change for higher prices and less volume. Yikes! Not mentioned on the news station is the amount of earthquakes are being felt in what is known as the "Ring of Fire"! Many of late are reaching the magnitude of 8 like the one in Russia back in July 2025.

There is something in the water!

Among the multiple pantheons of gods, only one God lives the way a God ought to live. This particular God—the God of Israel—is holy, that is, He alone is transcendentally different, superior, and separate. He has called His people to be holy (1 Peter 1:15-16). It follows that a holy person must be different in the way that God is different.

From God's holiness flows His love—outgoing concern for others, His outstanding attribute. When God looked on Israel, however, He saw a whole nation, from her culture to her government to her religion, organized on the basis of human self-concern. God wanted to see clear evidence of godly living, by which He could verify their claims of being His people. In Israel, He saw no such evidence, but instead a people in opposition to Him in every area of life. Spiritual adultery had occurred.  Amos 4:2 NKJV  The Lord GOD has sworn by His holiness: "Behold, the days shall come upon you  When He will take you away with fishhooks,  And your posterity with fishhooks.

In Christ, we are given a new position which is defined and motivated to practice. In unity with Him in His death and resurrection, we now Christ are made into what God requires.

1.   In faith, the demand is our way of life conformed into the meaning of the spoken Word of God, the Gospel. See please in Ro. 12:1-2; 2 Cor. 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.  Having died to the power of & the practice of sin ; entering into death of Jesus by Faith. Further reading in Romans 6:1-14; & then compare 2 Timothy 2:19 NKJV; 1 John 3:1-10

2.    2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and , "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

3.   Hunger and thirst must be our heart for the Lord: to fill our heart with the water of His word; To be cleansed Purity of Heart : Matthew 5:8 NKJV (8) Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

Purity of heart is a work in progress in which both God and man share responsibility. Many scriptures show that God will cleanse by pardoning sin. But our responsibility in cleansing is very important and frequently mentioned along with what we must do to be cleansed. Clearly given here by James, he points to the purifying as our responsibility: "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded" (James 4:8).

Cleansing and Purifying:  Peter 1:22 makes a summary statement: "Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart." Obedience to the truth through the Spirit purifies our character by inculcating right habits within it.

1.   Isaiah 1:16-17 “Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.

2.   Guarding our heart to have no deceit in our mouths nor perverse speaking: Proverbs 4:23-27 NKJV 23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. 24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth ( devious mouth), and put perverse lips far from you. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. 26 Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. 27 Do not turn to the right or the left; removed your foot from evil.

Without our heart being washed by the word of God, we never meet the standards to operate in godly integrity. . God, with our cooperation through faith, is ultimately the Creator of a pure heart in us, but it is a protracted process achieved by imparting a holy nature by His Spirit. This unites us with a holy Christ, with whom we fellowship, washing us in the blood of the Lamb so that with His aid we can mortify the flesh and live toward God, giving Him first priority in everything.

Purity of desires, motives, and intents should characterize the child of God. We need to examine ourselves, searching diligently whether we have freed ourselves from the dominion of hypocrisy.

1.   Are we seated in heaven, yes….is our love found there?

2.   Has the fear of the Lord grown strong enough that we love what He loves and hate what He hates?

3.  Is our conscious of being accurate for God displayed, or only accurate for self’s own priorities?

Alive to the presence of God: is obedient righteousness, for we participate by faith in the risen Savior. Our life is in the risen life of Christ. Please read Romans 6:16-19 & then compare with Matthew 5:6,10; 1 Corinthians 15:34; 2 Corinthians 6:14 NKJV Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion ha slight with darkness?

We are not to compromise: a group who wants to change God and His word will compromise your integrity of faith……….. Romans 6:16-20 …NKJV…..16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. The churches of Christ greet you. 17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions & offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, & avoid them. 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, & simple concerning evil. ( evil speaking going on )20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Be wise in God, be wise to what is God. It is not flattering speech we need nor is it any cursing or divisive evil, but the word of God delivers us!

There was a plane in trouble over Brevard County Florida. Two young twenty somethings flying got into some situation. They had to land on a freeway. Their plane hit a car with a couple inside, not one once nor twice but three times. And the plane finally got to the pavement. The couple in the car, a couple, pastors of a church in that area only had minor scrapes. The water of God's word is everything we need to know as to what is coming toward us.

2026 is upon us in two weeks, earthquakes are getting more frequent and louder each time, the people desiring to stay home instead of work is a monstrous problem for the coming generations to see. Not everyone can do computer work, but certainly there are trade jobs like welders or electricians which are needed right now.

There is something in the water: stepping up for a fight looks like Columbia, Mexico and Venezuela want to tangle with U.S., there is a rise of AI Christianity where nearly two-thirds of pastors are now using artificial intelligence for their sermons, Russia is trying to assassinate a Ukranian President, Verizon is restructuring with a cost-cutting layoff of over 13,000 workers, and it is taking approximately 140,000 dollars for a family of four to afford the basics.  There is something in the water. But the Lord is revealing to us the depth of that danger and the force of His word for safety and peace. Let us ba live unto Him, know Him and dwell there in safety.

Dive into His word and find the depth of peace to maintain your heart in 2026. Amen!

Painful Thorns

What a difference 50 years makes in one's life!

What was held in disgust years ago, people do it so willingly today. Was seeing a teaching on what the swimsuits looked like in the twenties and thirties of the 20th century. Everyone had on clothes, but was meant for swimming. Each dressed, the man in his slacks and the woman in a two piece suit covering from the neck to passed the knees. Today it is anything goes. You have a display of nudity in all forms on the beaches today. Sad to say, many have fallen into the culture theme of being free in sin. I remember the Rockettes of yesteryear. Those dancers in NYC were in the Macy's parade over Thanksgiving. What appeared were very thin women. What once looked like healthy dancers, with an amount of muscle on the legs and arms, today they are skin and bone ....Was wondering if it had to do with people losing weight just to be thin. What would Jesus think today?

Jesus was the “meek” man. He humbled Himself before the Father to walk in His steps regarding His image and the foundation of the work to be set forever in His word.

In God's perspective, people who humble themselves, are these people who are strong, while from a human perspective, it depends on whom they want to impress. You can see that in the story of those who impressed David’s son instead of staying alongside David as the King! ( of Ahithophel’s advice to the King seen in 2 Samuel 16, 17, and what occurs in 18) Ahithophel commits suicide out of bitterness in 2 Samuel 17:23.

At the point of Grace, we choose whom we will serve. We are told over and over to forgive those who have done something against us. Yes, and that can occur daily in this world we live in today!

But Humility is so important that God gave Paul some help to make sure that he would stay humble: 2 Corinthians 12:6-10 NKJV 6 For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to or hears from me. 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Yet, this “thorn” in the flesh is a person. We know this because we see it in the Old Testament: Ezekiel 28:22- 24 NKJV “Behold, I am against you, O Sidon; I will be glorified in your midst; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I executed judgments in her and am hallowed in her. For I will send pestilence upon her and blood in her streets; the wounded shall be judge in her midst by the sword against her on every side; then they shall know that I am the LORD. 24 “And there shall not longer be a pricking brier or a “painful thorn for the house of Israel from among all who around them, who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the LORD GOD.”

From this verse 24, we see that insults of the nations are compared to prickly briers and painful thorns. Numbers 33:55 ‘But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall be that those whom you let remain shall be irritants in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land where you dwell. 56 Moreover it shall be that I will do to you as I thought to do to them.’”

In this year, we certainly have the irritants of painful thorns. You expect truth and get that which relates to honoring the evil and to destroy the good!

From the time of Jesus, His walk was about the persistent heart giving the kingdom of God that had come: the Gospel! Jesus was effective in that He laid down His life and could take it up again because He spoke it into being. Paul saw the power of Jesus’ walk and proved to be an effective servant of God.

So humility has a dominant thrust in it where appears a willingness to submit to God, to what is His truth and remain in it to give to others. These two willingly submit to giving their whole life into God’s glory. So what would be the level of our humble hearts? Ephesians 4:3 …endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Unity with each begins in the unity each of us has with God. And it is within that unity with God you can keep unity with others.

So in returning to Ahithophel we find a most fascinating character. In 2 Samuel 15: 12 Ahithophel was a trusted counselor to King David. He was also a member of his cabinet. The King relied on Ahithophel’s advise as if he spoke from God himself seen 2 Samuel 16:23.

Ah yes, but things changed for the “bad”. It was David’s son Absalom that led a rebellion against him. and in this rebellion Ahithophel betrayed David by joining with rebellious Abasalom. AND we can know the king’s heart on this matter when David recounts those painful laments of heart when a trusted Ahithophel betrayed him in Psalm 41:8-9 and Psalm 55:12-15.

Psalm 55:12-16 NKJV For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; then I could hide from him. 13 but it was you, a man my equal, My companion and my acquaintance. 14 We took sweet counsel together and walked to the house of God in the throng. 15 Let death seize them; let them do down alive into hell, for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them. 16 As for me, I will call upon God, and the LORD shall save me.

AHITHOPHEL: whose name means “foolishness” certainly proved to be the foolish man and it was indicated in his first meeting with Absalom in 2 Samuel 15:12. Yes the rebellion was on! And some parts of historical record give a light on what occurred to make Ahithophel do what he did to the king! In historic background, Ahithophel was the father Eliam found in 1 Chronicles 3:5. And then the grandfather of Bathsheba, so this was a personal ordeal for the man who knew the king and had worked side by side with him. Yes, David as the king with loose morals at this time defiled another man’s wife. Instead of being on the front lines in battle with his men, David stayed in the palace and then had his eye on the lovely Bathsheba bathing.  So in this corrupted action on David’s part, Ahithophel’s sense of wrong crowded his thinking.

Yes, David was king but was to be the honorable and here he slipped terribly in the acts of murder of Bathsheba's husband Uriah the Hittite. What Ahithophel proposed in his pursuit of David is given in 2 Samuel 17:1…… Ahithophel gives Absalom advice: “Now let me choose twelve thousand men and I will arise and pursue David tonight. 2 I will come upon him while he is weary and weak and make him afraid. And all the people who are with him will flee and I will strike the king.

It was a personal hostility that Ahithophel held for David. 1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world. 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Through the Gospel, revelation of truth is power. And in the operation of God’s power through this gospel is victory over sin and death. But to the Jews, this very message of Christ crucified signaled weakness and proved Jesus the false Messiah. The Jews looked for signs instead of in Messiah’s power ( Isaiah 35; 61)  The Jews stumbled in this truth. And of course to the Gentile mind-set, they held no messianic expectations. No, they held only what a deity should be like, so the message of Christ crucified was foolishness to them.

Yes, David did try to hide his corrupted acts. He treated this young woman terribly and her husband even worse. He wanted her to sleep with her own husband to hide his dilemma her creating a child within her womb. But the honorable Uriah would not do that while the men he fought with would not have the same thing available to them. David proceeds with another act of betrayal to place Uriah on the front line of the battle. Yes, death would occur to this young man.

Ahithophel most likely burned in his thinking that became a hate with a force behind it! So Absalom set to take David’s throne, and he, Ahithophel, must have thought some kind of good must have turned towards him in favor, but David prayed in 2 Samuel 15:31 “O LORD I pray, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!”  Remember David had already prayed in Psalm 55!

In Ahithophel’s  counsel to Absalom to immediately attack David before he can regroup, a change occurs in a dramatic way.  A loyal friend to David, Hushai pretends to have turned to Absalom’s side and urges him to delay an attack. It was God causing Absalom to heed Husahi’s advice and Ahithophel realizes a fatal mistake. In bitterness, he knows that God will not punish David now. No, because David repented and prayed for God’s hand on the outcome of his own stupid behavior.

In despair it was Ahithophel who would die:  “He put his house in order and then hanged himself (2 Sam 17:23). In prayer, David displayed anguish. He wrote of betrayal in Psalm 55:13-14.  A seemingly spiritual companion betrayed David in verse 13: “ but it was you, a man my equal, my companion and my acquaintance”.

2 Samuel 15:31 Then someone told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, “O LORD I pray, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

Humility goes hand in hand with meekness. Jesus the meek had a restraint being held in the “kind, the gentle, and the sensitive to others’ needs. This is done in truth, with no lying and stealing. They are those who will agree with that which is God’s word. They will not argue God’s word, neither will they insist on their own way in it. People could approach Jesus! They could speak with Him and He would return that which was life to them. He was and is the meek but He is not the “weak”! Like Jesus we are to be the firm and the uncompromising regarding following truth. And what is revealed to us is that Jesus did not overwhelm others who were aligned against Him.

God’s grace has been poured out to us! People who know their Lord and God are the blessed and it shows! We too can enjoy this abundance of grace. We should let people go and give them over to God.

Matthew 6:14-15 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” 15 “But if you do not forgive me their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Jesus hung on a Cross at Calvary and forgave the one who hung there with Him. Jesus told the man that he would be with Him in Paradise. The other went his way into hell. It was one who held onto Jesus the Son of God, the Savior of the world. Painful thorns indeed appear in our walk. But we keep our eyes on Jesus! You can see insanity in the world, but peace is found in the Lord alone!

Scorched and Burned

Can you imagine a time with no water anywhere or any that is found is undrinkable? Can you imagine being scorched by the very sun to keep you warm in winter? Can you imagine your yard and the town you live in, to be so dry, no rain falls and you feel like the sun is scorching your skin? How does this happen? And it will, for the word of God is true and never fails!

Jesus said He was life unto men. Right from the beginning of His ministry, Jesus linked the kingdom and the Spirit together.   John 3:3 No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. Jesus redeemed us through His shed blood at Calvary. He was and is freshness of water to the face. He fills our well with His goodness.

John 4:14 “but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 7:37 “If anyone thirst, let him come to Me and drink.   38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

1 John 2:15-17 nkjv15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world ---the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, & the pride of life---is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 & the world is passing away, & the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Here God commands the final judgment on man! Verse 1 of Revelation 16: Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth."

In Revelation 16:12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

To dry up a region, the angel pours a bowl on a great river.

Revelation 8: 8-10 Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. 9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. 10 Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and one the springs of water.  11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.

What is given here, a group will point a massive rocket toward an oil field. It will bring destruction to those oil wells. As the oil spills into sea, the sea will appear as blood. It will move inland through any cavity or open door for oil spills. These are channels like the Mississippi River and all its tributaries. As the underground water is spilled, it dries up like a sponge. It hardens and no “fresh water” is seen or drank anywhere occurs! Bad enough indeed for the 1/3 of the sea contaminated, sea life killed, and ships destroyed but that going inland will be catastrophic. Whatever river this contamination can connect with, disaster is not far off!

Revelation 16:3-4 Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died. 4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.

No percentages listed here. Every living  soul  died  in the sea.  Here it mentions the blood as of a dead man. When man dies, it is within few hours, his blood coagulates within him. It turns hard and purple in color. So again, we have a situation of oil in the waterways. Flying overhead one would see the oil cover the ocean as that of blood.

Revelation 16:5-6 and I heard the angel of the waters saying: “You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, because You have judged these things. 6 For they have shed the blood of the saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. For it their just due.”

Here you have men drinking this yucky stuff. They have killed the saints and the prophets. And the Lord has seen to it, that they drink this oil riddled mess!

Revelation 16:7-10 And I heard another from the altar saying, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”  8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.  9 And men were scorched with great heat and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give Him glory.  10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.

Scorch men with GREAT Heat. When there is an elimination  of water (fresh) then all that is left is the thick crud left by oil spills. These great spills set off by most likely an atomic bomb will cause fire to erupt in that region. Elimination of the water of the ocean and rivers will cause most plants to die. The trees would follow in some weeks after.  This heat build-up would bring about a thick atmosphere where skies are darkened.  NO sun to shine as it once had on earth!

From Revelation 16:10 tongue is gnawed. In this when in a desert place, the tongue can swell. Even  people with cancer of the neck area experience a swelling of the tongue at night while they sleep. ( They as the patient must spray their tongue with moist water to bring back to normal.)

This desert or now arid region is the place of no water, so any amount of walking through there would cause one to gnaw their tongue because of thirst for fresh water!

The future looks dark and bleak for those who refuse God! They can look forward to those seals being opened by Christ Himself!     Revelation 6: 1 NKJV  Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “come and see.”  2 And I looked and behold, a white horse.  He who sat on it had a bow and a crown was given to him and he went out conquering and to conquer. 3 When opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “come and see.” 4 another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another, and there was given to him a great sword.

5 When He opened the third seal. I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked and behold a black horse and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius and three quarts of barley for denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” 7 when He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.” 8 So I looked and behold a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death and Hades followed with him. and power was given them over a fourth  of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death and by the beasts of the earth.  9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “how long O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the dearth?” 11 Then white robes was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.

Revelation 6:12-17  NKJV  12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. (13) And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. (14) Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. (15) And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, (16) and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! (17) For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"

The beginning of sorrows, the Great Tribulation, whether 3 months or longer still a time of events when the first trumpet sounds. Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give us light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will b shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and great glory.

No future bright for unbelievers, but those who seek the glory of the Lord will know His return is soon. We await, not deceived by bogus deliverers, but by expecting Him in all His glory to appear as the radiant light of life before us. Amen.

If You died Today where would YOU spend ETERNITY?

John 20:1-18
20:1 On the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. 2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him." 3 Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. 4 So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. 5 And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. 9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went away again to their own homes.

11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him." 14 Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away." 16 Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him, "Rabboni!" (which is to say, Teacher). 17 Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.' " 18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.  NKJV

I am always in awe when I read this passage. Mary, still consumed with grief, does not see what is before her. Now ..........at this moment she is talking with angels. No doubt she had something to speak. She had a wondering heart of where her Lord might be. And seeing this man in the garden, she asks a question. "Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away." Now she presumed He was the gardener.

BUT Jesus spoke "Mary!" "Rabboni!" (which is to say Teacher). "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, "I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God."

Yes, she does not see Him, but did see that which was the ordinary, a tomb that was opened and two angels. In those days, it was written that people frequently saw and talked with angels. In this day and time, I believe such would frighten many people out of their very being.
Could you imagine the amount of Facebook time or tweets on angels being sighted and heard speaking to regular everyday people?
And she did not recognize Jesus. Grief is something that people have to deal with when loving other people. They can go through it and never realize what or how powerful grief really is till it takes them down bodily.
Grief is a terrible thing. This Mary was wanting to secure her Lord, and yet here He stood in her midst. I wonder how many suffer through a "grief" and never really see Jesus in their midst. In that time before daylight and darkness tries to hold a little longer, but light will always come.
God ordained it!

Walking with Jesus and hearing Him speak of life and then to have Him taken so violently and beaten so brutally, captures a heart into that place that one will shrink in fear! But this Mary wanted to secure her Jesus, her Lord. And she wanted to know where He was taken!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-12

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

9 What does the worker gain from his toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on men. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. NIV

There a time for everything and we know not what lays before us, but with God we can make it through. Yes grief can come, but we must come to the realization that Jesus was sent for us..........and that through Him, we can find peace in any situation or circumstance. Many times we must be stilled from the flesh creature, call our emotions into line with God's Word, and know that He is God. We must quiet those outside voices and stay within His boundaries to know Him fervently.
In the scheme of this life and adventures, many take a path which is too widely taken for that which is of grief in consuming drugs, alcohol and even taking of their own lives. As adults, we should be willing to take those extra steps to bringing a legacy of life to our children, grand-children and to those children around us who have NO leadership within their homes. We should be willing to tell them about Jesus, the Lord and Savior. For truly something is coming down each person's pathway, but how it is handled will determine where we spend eternity. And the other thing to remember is to being obedient to something God speaks.
Today is the day of salvation.
Salvation is through only one and His name is Jesus.

Acts 4:8-12
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people! 9 If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 He is "'the stone you builders rejected,
12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."     NIV

Salvation is found in NO ONE ELSE.........WHATEVER NAME THAT IS NAMED IS STILL BELOW THE NAME OF JESUS!

Philippians 2:5-11
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.    NKJV

I wonder how many will be so mad when they find they put their faith in just a man and not Jesus Christ the Lord of glory?

1 John 1:8-2:1
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
NIV

Trying to figure out our own way is nothing but noise and chaos. But adhering to Jesus, we find that which is a life everlasting. May we truly be bold to remind others that there is a heaven to gain and a hell to avoid! Today is the day to confess sins, those which can keep us from hearing the God of truth. And we know from 1 John that He is faithful and He is the just and will forgive us our sins ..........purify us from all unrighteousness.

Mary experienced something "new". She saw Him walking and talking with her. He still lives to rule and reign in our hearts. Today you may know someone who is far from Jesus. You may know them walking on that wide road of destruction and death, and when you pray (not "if you will pray") but when you pray for them remind them that God has a purpose for their lives, and that they are to live for Him. Remind them that there is still time for them to confess Jesus as Lord. And then confess that they truly have a walk, a close walk to know Him intimately.

Yes, grief can paralyze some people. It can bring someone so low that they cannot hear truth. When we are dealing with a loved one who is close to death, remind the Father what He planned and thank Him that you (we) will hear the report of good for that family member. Send laborers across their path if you cannot do it. Send those angels who will guard those heirs of salvation and give thanks to the Father Who hears because of the Blood of Jesus shed for us at Calvary.

We are coming upon that time of year again to be reminded of not only His shed blood, His love that gave, but we are also reminded of those who are still without Him. Their final destination if they have do not Jesus is hell. God does not cause sickness, He does not kill anyone. But satan surely does and will use any device he cannot to shut a person's mouth and to keep them from confessing Jesus as Lord.
Let's pray for those who still stumble in the dark, and may they stumble into the presence of God in you (and me). May they hear the Words of Salvation in Jesus Christ and may they be turned toward the Light of Life of which there is no variation of turning.

James 1:12-18
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.   NKJV

Father, we pray for those who stumble because they disobey the message of which they were destined for.( 1 Peter 2:8-17)
We have been called out of darkness and into that marvelous light. We pray as the people of God for those who have not come into Your family. We pray for those who are far from God and live in sinful desires that will cause ultimate death to them. Today we pray that anyone who comes across our path, may we be the willing to call them into Light. May we glorify God.
For the mercy we have received, we walk in the Light of Jesus Christ.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4-6) For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as servants for His sake. For God who said, "let light shine out of darkness," made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (verse 6)

Father, in Jesus' name , may they see You when we speak with them, and may they hear You speak their name.
Father, You do not cause death and destruction, You give life everlasting. You have put eternity into our hearts. May we speak with a boldness to give clear meaning to receiving Jesus as Lord. May they not turn away but heed the warnings that they are on that road of destruction. We truly set ourselves to speak when You lead us by Your Holy Spirit and we will pray like You tells us to pray. We look forward to our future with You, but till that time we are set like flint to keep watch and pray for those who are headed to an everlasting destruction. Oh merciful Father, thank You for Jesus and we give thanks for His shed blood for all man-kind that we would spend our eternity with You. May we rise and speak while it is still light. To God be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

How Often Do We Tell Our Children We Are Well Pleased with Them?

Matthew 3:16-17.............16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."  NKJV

Matthew 17:1-8...........17:1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." 5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!" 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Jesus came and touched them and said, "Arise, and do not be afraid." 8 When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.   NKJV

How many times do we tell our children that we are pleased with them? Even when they are grown up and have a family of their own, do we still let them know that we are pleased with them?
Do we spend quality time with those who are still living at home, those who might need the encouragement and support of family structure or do we let them run "free"?
Do we speak words of life or death over them?
NOW God thought telling His Son that He was pleased with Him was important enough to have it written down as truth for us to read and know about it. As we have read in chapter 4 of the book of Matthew, we know Jesus was tempted by the devil. Do you think Jesus kept what His Father spoke in His heart while out in the "wilderness" to be tested? And then we see as well, that God talked to His Son again and even told the disciples to hear HIM!

Is hearing those words important to our well-being? What encouragement can we, as the parent or parents, give to our child or children, grown or still at home, that will make a difference? In Jesus' life, he was obeying the command to be baptized. He was following what was sent as instruction. In Matthew 17 and verses 1-8 we see God the Father giving Jesus authority to do something, and the command was for those to listen and heed!

I heard this story about this lady. It was many years ago. She went to the Dr. with this high fever. The Dr. did many tests on her and took weeks to get all the reports back. He, the Dr. , had many questions for her and could not make a decision of the right diagnosis for what was ailing her. So after many questions, and all the time spent, she replied to the "no diagnosis" with a sharp "well that just burns me up", and "after all the time I have given to come in for these tests and the money which has been spent that has a result of  no diagnosis"! The Dr. then told her she could have what she said about the whole thing. Then he went on to explain how the body will line up with what we speak to it. It has hearing ears to hear and when we tell it is tired, then it can and will become tired or sick with the flu or whatever is coming down the pike. He explained that the body would obey her command! But we can refuse it, the Dr. told her. Then the woman felt silly for saying something that her body was trying to do for her....to accommodate the command.......and that was to" burn up"

I think of Jesus and the amount of time He walked the earth. I go back and look at the times He went up on the mountain to pray and have that alone time with God. He certainly needed to hear His Father's voice and so do we! Like getting to know the Father helped Jesus take the steps to the Cross at Calvary and become the greatest sacrifice for mankind!

Would time spent with the Lord help us get to know our children better, help us encourage them when they need encouragement and  pray for them when the Lord is directing us to pray for them for a special thing or just because we are their parents?
As parents and future parents,  we have the opportunity to stay fresh in the Word of God. We have the opportunity to spend time learning God's Ways and thoughts and become accustomed to His speaking to us about our children. (even our grown children)
For He certainly has a plan for them for their good and not evil and He gives them a hope in their final outcome. As parents we have that opportunity to reach out and take hold for them when they cannot do it yet for themselves. We can reach forward to tomorrow and hold on in faith by prayer and the promises of God and expect what the Lord has spoken all along will come to pass for each of those children.

As parents, we can pray for any rivalry among siblings become non-existent. We can become instruments of reconciliation among our children and break down the barriers that may have been there for a long time. The Lord can direct us to those things that hinder and reveal His plan how to move through any barriers and how to direct His Word that brings more light to any circumstance and enable the child or children to walk in light as the Father is in the Light!

Our prayer should include that our children will persevere. Whatever their walk in life, they are created to fulfill something "specific" for God! Each of our children, whatever age today,  has a place to stand and fulfill. Each has the opportunity to stand and do mighty things for God and to His glory. No matter if they are not in His will right now, no matter that all things look bleak for them, no, the Word of God is living, active and will perform when we send it out in faith believing the best for our children.
When our daughter was born, I remember prophesying over her. I held her in my arms for the first time and spoke that God was going to do mighty things through her. I have today seen her touch lives that were untouchable. I have seen her go above and beyond in distance to reach that "one" who needs a touch from God!
God Himself has enabled her to walk worthy of his calling for her. She is the woman of God who sees to that she is not side-lined but on track, much like a train, and going forward to the destination He has called her. Our prayer for her has been that she not get discouraged so she will not be defeated.
When our daughter was in grade school, she was always having conversations with the group of people as a whole. She could talk as easily with the teacher as she could with a child her own age. When we were out roller skating as a family, she could see her friends and parents come in and easily strike up a conversation with them all and have them all participating in a "group talk" so to speak!

In and through this time, around her early teen years, she had eczema on her arms and back of her legs. She had things like prednisone and other things to take, but still that thing would try rising up time and time again and side-line her. There were times we knew she was not feeling her 100 percent, and she would spend much of that time with her school work and trying to rest. Not having the Word of God active for her, we spent much time feeling defeated and wondering what to do next. But when we got hold of the word much later, we saw the change for her. She was holding God's word and lifting her eyes above circumstances. Even at some times, for just a moment, holding that Word up to God, we could see the purpose God had planned for her.
She has continued to reverence her God and to seek truth. She has continually asked for discernment to make the right decisions based on God's revelations of the Word to her. Her desire is to make those godly choices and keep from doing anything foolish. And understand too, when we start moving toward God's plan for our lives, the enemy will try his best to divert our plans.  When our daughter moved to the northwest and got started with her pastoral degree, she certainly saw some conflict by the enemy and had to hold her ground. She had to stand in that "fertile field" and expect to guard it alone if need be with God alone! Today she is an administrative pastor who meets with pastors and leaders of other churches to provide the tools and resources available in encouraging them in their call!

Today, as a parent she and her husband pray that their child will listen to godly counselors and not be one who is not teachable. They remind their child that a good listener will heed the warnings that keeps them safe in situations. And as grand-parents, we pray that our grand-child will do what is right rather than follow the leading of their own flesh. For we know the wisdom of this world is foolishness with the Lord (1 Corinthians 3:19) .  We always pray that our grand-child will not buy into foolishness, but will keep their eyes on the Good Shepherd and have ears to hear His voice.

2 Peter 1:12-21...................12 For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. 13 Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, 14 knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. 15 Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.

16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. NKJV

I love what Peter wrote.............16. for we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17. for He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: "This is MY beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. ............................................................................................................................................................... 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
We are to speak, and see the Word we speak.........the Promises of God....manifested!   We are to declare for our child, children or grand-children and see those mighty words of God come to pass. Today, I pray, loosing the Holy Spirit, that men and woman who read this with children of any age, will rise up and speak scripture over their child or children or grand-children. I loose the Holy Spirit to stir men and women to speak more words of life over their future children, young age children and their grown children. Pray the will of God into their lives and their future children's lives as well. Remember we are "faith" people. We walk by "faith" and not by sight!

When my husband and I received our prayer language back in the early, early 70's, one book came into my hands by the dear lady who prayed for us to receive our prayer language. Her name was Alberta. What a dear one who loved the Word of God and prayer!  The book she had me to read was written by Don Gossett. It is called "What You Say is What You Get!  This book was absolute truth and what he wrote about. When I got this into my hands and read more than once in just a couple of days, I was aware of something I had not noticed before and that was how people were getting exactly what they said for themselves and their children! What this gentleman shared in the beginning of the book was the testimony of healing and how his wife continued to speak God's word without wavering. The testimony was how after receiving and believing the word, his wife walked out of rheumatic fever. After months in bed, and reading the Word of God to her, they came across the scripture, "The Lord is the strength of my life.". His wife got out of bed slowly, but kept her mouth working with repeating the scripture and believing. Verification came that she was completely and totally healed of the killing disease rheumatic fever.
The other main point he started with was the truth of "who" we are in Christ. The second was what we have in this life according to what Jesus did on the cross as the Great Sacrifice. And thirdly,  he wrote that we can do all things through Christ. So in and through this, my husband saw something we had not seen before and applied it to our lives.

As the devil came to Jesus in the wilderness to "test" Him (Matthew 4), we too, must recognize that the devil and his demons can come and will come, especially if there is an "open door" , as in not forgiving someone. It is important for us to confess something like that immediately and not hold on to the "hurts" that someone may cause us! That will only cause sickness in us. It will cause us to become "bitter". We are not to be ignorant of the devils devices . It is quoting the Word of God that we set up the standard by His Word. 2 Corinthians 10:4-6....4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.  NKJV

For the Word of God is not some fable, but truth and power. It is knowing this power exists in knowing God and what He has planned for each of us. He can do abundantly above all that you or I can ask or think according to the power that works in us. (Ephesians 3:20-21) Plead the Blood of Jesus over your children and grand-children, and fight the good fight of faith!

Father, I pray in Jesus’ name for the transforming power of Your Holy Spirit  to come into our lives, our daily walk, and declare knowing that by what was spoken in Luke 18:27,  "What is impossible with men is possible with God."  Grant us, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might through Your Spirit in our inner being. Transform us into Your likeness. Make us fresh where we have become stale. Lead us and instruct us where we have become un-teachable, and make us to be faithful and obedient like Jesus was. You spoke over Your Son that YOU WERE PLEASED WITH HIM! We too, desire to speak words of faith over our children, and grand-children. We desire Your help in this and lead us to speak Your heart for each of them. We desire to be one with You and agree with what YOU say about them! We desire to pray in power over them and to believe for great changes for them. We pray for lives to be transformed by the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Father, show us where we might miss the mark in not forgiving another person. We desire to understand the forgiveness You have toward us. We do not want to block or cause any hindrances toward holding that kind of sin that would block our children's futures as we pray for them. Please teach us to how to always love our enemies as YOU have commanded.

Today, we worship You and express our thanksgiving before You. We exalt You in our home for YOU are worthy to be praised. Thank You for Your plans and purposes for our families. We expect Your will be done in each life You so carefully planned for in this day and hour. You are our Healer, our Deliverer, our Comforter, our Redeemer! In Ezekiel 22:30 Father, You could find no one to stand in the gap for You on behalf of the land, but we pray that we would be determined to stand in the gap for our loved ones and may Your kingdom come into their lives today. We stand and believe that our children, whatever age, are blessed with supernatural strength, blessed of the Lord coming in and going out. We believe them to have compassionate hearts and will always have positive outlook on their lives. All things are possible to us who believe in Jesus' name. Amen.

Feeding on Foolishness

FOOLS MUST BE DEALT WITH DIFFERENTLY THAN THOSE WHO ARE WISE. We cannot deal with all men in the same way. Our response to people must be ...
