The King's Voice for the Mature

Seen any "strange" behavior? What about truth do you hear or does your area or arena lack it? In the pass ten days I have heard both side speaks. One though is so odd: like the cruise ship coming into Miami port and a group of what ( a hundred ) are having a WWF  on the weekend. Yes, a specific cruise and only maybe an hour left to embark for home, many start punching like 12 year girls. Or how about that of a Snap person saying yes now makes too much money to gain food stamps. Or this was a stopper indeed: a group of folks come in, order food, complain about food suggesting not what they ordered or what is cold or like any complaint you can think of right at this moment. ( I think of a Chinese place that had good food....it was filled with fifty cent pieces! I did not eat that nor did I keep their coins.) Then these same folks will wait and complain till the food is free for them.

Jesus spoke of speaking only what He heard the Father speak!

Identifying with Christ:  1 Corinthians 2:6-9  NKJV  6  However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.  7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8  which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written:

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,

Nor have entered into the heart of man

The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

If you love your spouse, is it because you see a new facet of them daily? What you focus on becomes your central thought.

If mankind had seen Christ, if they had clearly identified with Him, the history of the world would be exceedingly different. But today we see a spiral downward toward nothingness. In truth, they did not see because, as Paul writes here, they were not mature. Mature, in this context, means "converted." He contrasts those who are able to see and those who are not able to see. Those who are able to see are those who are spiritually mature. The converted does not quote culture. They, the people should not imitate culture in any way, shape or form.

Even though Christ quoted—and lived—the scriptures with which most of His audience were familiar, the people did not see God working through Him. So it has always been with God's servants.  Even today we find many who choose to quote Jesus but not act like Him!

1.         Christ was not the only one. Jesus Himself testifies that these people also "kill[ed] the prophets" (Matthew 23:34-37). It is unlikely that they would have killed the prophets if they clearly saw them as God's messengers. If they believed in God and were fearful of His authority and sovereignty over His creation, they would not have dared to do it! Nevertheless, it has always been this way: Some see and some do not see. What you are raised in will become your central theme: peace or violence!

2.         Paul says in I Corinthians 2:7 that God's ministers "speak the wisdom of God in a mystery." This mystery is not a puzzle that is difficult to solve but "a secret impossible to penetrate." As the apostle goes on to say in succeeding verses, the world is not "all there" upstairs because they do not have God's Spirit to help them penetrate the secret. Without this vital ingredient, it is no wonder that it accepts its own and rejects the truths of God.

Paul writes in verse 9, "But as it is written: 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.'" Many in the world believe that the things of God are "too great" for mere humans to comprehend. We really cannot "get it" or see it. Yet, the truth is so simple to those whose eyes are open that a child can understand. The carnal mind, however, is so blinded by traditions and habits of thinking that even Christians tend to reject the things of God—even though God has converted us.

In reference to this theory of men denied seeing and hearing.....The effect of this is something like the story about the three blind Indians who were led up to an elephant. Each man touched a different part of the great beast. One held the elephant's trunk, and when asked what it was, he said, "This is a snake." The second man, holding the elephant's tail, said, "This is a rope." The third man, feeling the elephant's leg, said, "This is a tree."

The world can perceive bits and pieces of the truth, but they cannot put it all together and see the glory of God in its whole. They cannot see God as an intrinsic—absolutely necessary—part of a person's life. They cannot see how necessary the spiritual is!

Jesus Operated Out of the Eternal Quality of Love: John 15:5-8 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me & I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. That we take hold of this thought that Jesus was about glorifying His father

Now that is love. He was glorifying His Father!  Seeing God Through love: 1 John 4: 12-16 NKJV No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love and he who abides in love abides in God and God in him.

Hebrews 5:14 tells us if we have a maturity in the Word, we likely possess a spirit of discernment: “But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.”  ( as a friend of ours speaks: meat)

How do I pray for the spirit of discernment?  Since Solomon pleased God by asking for a wise and discerning heart, we would do well to request of God the same.  We can pray for a heart of discernment as the Psalmist did in Psalm 119:25: “I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.”   When we pray for discernment, we are to ask for it in faith, like we would ask for anything (Matthew 21:22). We are also to ask for it with the right motives. James 4:3 tells us “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”

If you are asking God for anything, not really believing God will give it to you, you are one who “should not expect to receive anything from the Lord” (James 1:7). And if you ask so that you can wield a spiritual super-power and appear more spiritual than others around you, that, too is not pleasing to the Lord.  But, when you ask humbly, in faith, and with the motive of living a more holy life, God will hear you (Matthew 21:22).

Pray also for a renewed mind and a stronger desire for God’s Word than the world’s philosophies. Romans 12:2 tells us: Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Pray to hear His voice of clarity. Lord, God, please give me an understanding heart and a sensitivity to Your ways. Lord, help me to distinguish between the truth of Your Word and the lies of this world.

ONLY what is of God is truth. So any other mere words are men’s Words.

John 8:42-47….KJV………….42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 46 Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

47 He that is of God hears God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Jesus was not soft. He told these men they were of their father the devil.. If we stop  defending Christianity, that is exposing evil, rebuking those false teachers, and confronting believers, we will have more people lost and led astray than those who are the saved!

Vain Imagining Can Be Stopped…By times of praise, and exalting Jesus,

By exalting His greatness and authority, we find those quiet, secret place times with HIM,  cast down those thoughts that are contrary to God's heart and Spirit and let God know that we love Him, but is it equally true that they hate evil?

Truly loving God is demonstrated in and by our character when we will not tolerate evil in our own hearts. Honor the Lord: Highly esteem Him and make His Name distinct in your speaking.  We stop speaking about us, and speak  about Him! Humble ourselves under His mighty Hand. Have we? Have we today stopped speaking about us all the time? What might be mentioned for the Lord of glory?

As we are yielded to the Holy Spirit, planting His Word within us, we will have eyes to recognize evil. It many times comes in a form that is pleasant or seems acceptable. Some evil is obvious, while other times it does take Holy Spirit discernment to see it. God will help you as you lean into Him. Let His praise continually be in your mouth and have a joyful, peaceful and glorious day with God!

Matthew 10:32-34….Amplified Bible…32 Therefore, everyone who acknowledges Me before men and confesses Me [out of a state of oneness with Me], I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven and confess [ that I am abiding in] Him. 33 But whoever denies and disowns Me before men, I also will deny and disown.

The disciples had return to fishing. And Jesus knew where they would be. Their Shepherd had been crucified a painful death. Their thoughts had been on His leading the nation from Roman rule, but the religious sector had covetous ideas & hatred for Him. Still, Jesus came to attend to those He called. Jesus had taught them the things of Heaven. He had given them an upgrade for living in the knowledge of God being they were now linked to quality & length of life. Certainly staying within God & His presence will determine our direction & quality of life for any individual. If we truly are converted & have Jesus seated on our heart then we are expectant to be even enlightened of His life, His grace & experience more of that from Him. He is not the elusive but human nature saturates the man or the woman with misconceptions.

If there is only darkness in us, contempt for others will appear. You will demand more free stuff for your pain. You lost this, you got sick with something or your spouse left but remember you can choose life in God. You can choose to have light of His word guiding you through. I have seen that darkness when the enemy comes, but I also continued to hear words of wisdom prayers for strength and to keep  reaching for the future in God. We choose. If you choose chaos, fine indeed but keep to yourself please!

What about Being Rid of Jesus?

Any one of the world does not like Jesus. They choose to to divide those they despise! They choose to try the Jewish nation and find them guilty. In 1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 7 Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.

Those who refuse God cannot hear us. They hear not the truth of God or His Son Jesus Christ!  Jeremiah 43:11 NKJV  11 When he comes, he shall strike the land of Egypt and deliver to death those appointed for death, and to captivity those appointed for captivity, and to the sword those appointed for the sword.

Even today, people are choosing the path they want to take. They go after that "want" and not the "need". In Jeremiah 43, the prophet Jeremiah provides an excellent example of the level of control God maintains in an apparently chaotic situation. In this context the prophecy that Nebuchadnezzar will conquer Egypt is revealed. In this, [Nebuchadnezzar] will defeat Egypt. He will bring death to those who are supposed to die at moments notice!. He will capture those who are supposed to be captured. He will kill in battle those who are supposed to be killed in battle. (Jeremiah 43:11, God's Word Translation)

In other translations, some verbs list doomed or destined to.....as "those which are destined to die" or "those who will doomed for captivity".

In the tense action of any battle, confusion will reign. And it is God Who will remain in control. He knows precisely whom He wants to live and whom He wants to die. Nebuchadnezzar did not have that knowledge; his generals did not; and certainly, his foot soldiers did not. If they had known it, they could not reliably have implemented God's will in the heat of battle. ( If you think about today, even those God has chosen for captivity will go, and hell is a long dark place for eternity for many.)

God, though, knew His plans for each individual and controlled the situation precisely to bring about His planned end. That is why God can be so specific in Ezekiel 5:1-2, using the fraction “one-third.” God will maintain control to ensure that one-third will be burned in the fire, another third scattered in the wind, and so on.  A second witness of this concept, using similar rhetoric, appears at Jeremiah 15:2:

And when they ask you, “Where shall we go?” you shall say to them, “Thus says the Lord: Those who are for pestilence, to pestilence, and those who are for the sword, to the sword;  those who are for famine, to famine, and those who are for captivity, to captivity.”  (English Standard Version)

And what do we see for the future:  An echo of this concept of control sounds in Christ's words, recorded at Revelation 13:10: If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes;  if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. [ESV]

Interestingly, this verse ends with a call for patience and faith during extremely rough times: “Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.” The horrific events of the Day of the Lord might well cause God's elect to question His level of control—perhaps even His beneficence. This will be a year requiring consummate faith and patience on the part of God's people. They must truly know that God's actions during that Day will not be chaotic or haphazard. What is coming in 2026 reminds us that God is for those who love Him.

Christ will look at each man's heart and if it is the least bit corrupted by sin, that man, not being pure, will receive the justice of hell. The believer too would fail this test, if he were not already made clean by his baptism into Christ's death. Thus he is rightly judged clean by Christ and enters into eternal Sabbath.

In God's justice, we can find a comfort for all the wrongs perpetrated against us and against mankind. We know that our cruel boss who cheated us for so many years will receive what he deserves. We know that the politician who did wrong to gain personal power will receive justice. We know that killers like Hitler, and Stalin will receive justice.  And have we not seen many choosing to take a life because of certain beliefs. There are those who want "control" and use anyway to get that power.

Here we see another passage, and in this Jews sought to kill Jesus. They say He broke the Sabbath and made Himself equal with God.

John 5:18-23 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that he Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23” that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

Judgment has been committed to the Son. Yes, He whom the world wants to be rid of for they choose to sin and commit fraud.

As our homes must be cleansed so does our soul and body. God cleans with His Holy Spirit and the water of the Word of God. In decorating with God's word, we go from trauma to life in Him. In the cleansing, we find repentance required. It is turning back to God and His plan for life. The maintenance is by our faith in Him and is the powerhouse for living today. In that powerhouse of prayer, we live by faith receiving by believing in Him.

Our focus is to be on life in Him. It is on Him, His riches by grace, glory and goodness. What counts in reality is the eternity with Him and not on the lesser of the earthly man seeks today.

If we dwell on the earthly, say like singing. Is it truly something one can do or is it just seeking the great lights and fame one desires? If it is about starting a business, is it about our ego or creating a business that will hire people, create a product people can use in safety and be about loving that place people dwell.  What about being a doctor or a lawyer? Is it about Jesus in us to be the best doctor or lawyer or just to be crooked in business and dealing with others?

Jesus came to deliver what the Father sent Him to do. Jesus came to bring the kingdom of God on earth. And the angels said it was good will to men on earth to men. Yet, we have many today who lie, cheat, and tell many Jesus was just another man.  They curse His name and think cruelly about Him.

For us, He is healing, provider, and Prince of Peace. In this season, we know Him to be truth to His word.  While we breathe we hope. We hope in His return to earth. We hope in the His word, and promise to us about this life now and that of the future. God is in control,  and is the powerhouse to that control. The loudness of His control can be heard. The greater their violence, the greater His control.  His love is absorbed into our hearts and His hand holds us tightly. We will not let go. In this season, we reach for Him, call out and ask to share our heart and know He will show us great and mighty things we did not know. Amen.

Where There is No Lack

In the last week, a government was shut down. In that many are being laid off their work. Those affected will be loud in the streets!

Matthew  7: 24-29 NKJV “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, & does them, ‘I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock, 25 “& the rain descended, the floods came, & the winds blew & beat on that house, & it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, & does not do them, will be like the foolish man who built his house on the sand, 27 “& the rain descended & beat on that house & it fell, And great was its fall.” 28 & so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority & not as the scribes.

Those who put their trust in the Lord, with all our hearts gain understanding. Proverbs 3: 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

We are to acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. It is more than one path. In a direct contact with the Lord, one that is of intimacy, each of us will know our paths! Each path is straight, it is for the upright in God. It is always the pleasing and the good.

In the previous verse found in Proverbs 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.

In wise living we will avoid all the things that shorten your life. But many are on the outside of the justice of God. They will bargain with anything to gain the advantage over another person. They will do that even to the President. Have you seen it in these last days?

You and I must deal accurately with people. We are to be the honest and transparent in our dealings. But those who choose to make those deals in getting that heart's desire find they are in a bad deal ending up with emptiness and falsehood.

Sa  Saw a lady head to the west coast yesterday seeking justice for those who fight to keep this nation one under God. She is one of many who seek justice to those who live righteously here and now under God. Any justice of God is to keep His own safe and anyone breaking those rules and laws are to repent and turn.

But it is too easy for many to get free stuff. And when the government shuts down, the free is cut off indeed. If Jesus is truly the Lord of our hearts, then His reign is health to us, He is prosperity, happiness and peace. Our justice is wisdom from God. And it is inexhaustible which guides us daily in this life and into our future!

2 Corinthians 4: 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:17-19 For He received from God the Father honor & glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.” 18 we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns & the morning star rises in your hearts.

Jesus brought light to reveal error when darkness had appeared through sin.  The word confirmed for salvation, healing & deliverance…to live for God by faith in obedience to Him:  John 14:6  NKJV  6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth & the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. It is the walk of faith in Him!   Having Jesus, is sinning no more!

Matthew 9:12 When Jesus heard that, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13  “But go and learn what this means: “I desire mercy and not sacrifice.” For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.’

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. ( This was addressing the sins of the priests in the life of Hosea)

Hosea 6:5-7  Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets, I have slain them by the words of My mouth; and your judgments are like light that goes forth, 6 For I desire mercy & not sacrifice & the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. 7 But like men they transgressed the covenant. There they dealt treacherously with Me.

Men dealt treacherously with Jesus. Men dealt treacherously with Dr. Martin Luther King. Men will deal treacherously with you. Anyone who shines a light in those dark places will be subject to the violence of treacherous men!

For us, you and I we see mercy daily. In a covenant of love to those who have experiences it in their own relationships with God, we can extend it to others. We both will pray for those who break laws in this nation for their own heart's desire. We extend mercy and believe in justice!

Those who know that love can extend the kingdom of God….those who know the Healer will see themselves speak comfort to those who mourn and bring light in the darkest heart to see the goodness of God!     Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! 38 See! Your house is left to you desolate 39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!”

Not receiving Jesus is seeking the empty. Not taking Him in our hearts is those seeking the world's wisdom. Jesus told the Jewish nation their house was left to them desolate. And seventy years later it came to pass!

God has no lack in heaven! God has ways to get things to us. He can show you when you are willing to put forth some effort! That effort is getting a job. It is doing something for your community. It is willing to help your neighbor. But scripture reminds us not all use scripture nor do they know God!

In Romans 10 we are reminded of this:

Romans 10:1-3……….(1) Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. (2) For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. (3) For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. NKJV

Paul accurately records that the Israelites had a zeal, "but not according to knowledge."

1.   They operated in much confusion.

2.   The apostle Paul before his conversion had a misdirected zeal. You can say his zeal as a Pharisee compelled him, and bound him to thoughts to see Christ and those of  the “Way” to be enemies.

3.   They were those who were enemies to his early fathers and to the faith they held for their God. And of course the case against him at the beginning and before his conversion on the road to Damascus…….was he had put many of them into prison. But his zeal also killed!

WHEN true knowledge is still lacking. Today they have thrown out responsibility to law and substituted a specious faith. Justification is by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it I the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

As to poetry: a design produced by an artisan, a product of conversion: a balance to us, a symmetry/order. We are God’s poem, His work of ART!   He that begun this work in us: it is he that is a good thing: Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

His word will produce benefits: will be in a physical sense, a good thing,, an attractiveness, an excellence. This is ALWAYS bases on God’s goodness, His faithfulness not on our own!

Faith in God produces Order in the Law: Romans 2: 13  ( for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; Romans 7:7-12 NKJV 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” 9 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. 10 and the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. 12 Therefore, the law is holy and the commandment holy and just and good.

Law pointed to the spiritual of man and spiritual death of him!

1.   From Romans 2:13: as the believer, we trust by faith, we hear and then we obey

2.    Listening is not enough: we must obey ! The only in-corrupt doer of the law was Jesus, the righteous One!

3.   The law is holy, just and good, He presented it in His perfect and eternal holiness.

If the actual law has been done away with, then there is no such thing as sin—but sin certainly exists! James explains that the faith that is "living" obeys the royal law .

(James 2:8-12 NKJV  if you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love our neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12  So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

In Romans 7:8 we are told not to covet. Covetousness is idolatry. It is seen in the activity of the human heart. It is in those from across the border to those living in these United States.  In this covetousness, it is a deed of the body. It is a heart craving, that wanting and enjoying with something treasured more than God. It is paying war lords back money owed to get across a border because someone coveted what Americans have. It is coveting a neighbors house or their husband or wife. An idol written by Paul is a disordered love or desire.  It is putting on those cowboy boots and kicking high in idolatry that gives song to the dark side!

So we might have that idol in heart. I hope we do not. But should you love a girlfriend more, a sport more and maybe your yard more than God, then it is a bad thing. Where there is no lack is finding home in the heart of God. Where there is no lack is knowing His heart and His plan for you. And it is not stealing from Joe, Fred or Jenny to pay war lords or gang leaders. Get a job, pay your fair share and be a part of something good. Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 1 this: You turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God and to wait for His Son from heaven whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. So when we turn to Christ from idols, we escape the wrath of God because He is for us! Thank YOU Lord for the Cross!

Where there is no lack it is not worshiping dead people as grandparents or great grandparents. It is not bringing a ritual of death and calling it your heritage. Only God can create and He can cast into Hell! (Matthew 10:28 and Luke 12:4-7) Will we be citizens of heaven or hell?

Fearing God involves trust and not terror. He makes sure there is no lack for you or  me!

You Want Me to do What?

Watched Dana Loesch, radio host in this nation and worldwide. On Wednesday she noted a lady who got information for continuing to receive SNAP.  Within the letter she was to told to serve her community for 12 to 15 hours in some kind of community service to receive SNAP! She was appalled. She was upset they were upsetting her schedule. I would like to know what her schedule entailed, would not you?

In her letter she was told to comply with helping in her community and they would be notified of her cooperation! Cannot say what else came from her, but one thing for sure, some desire something like money for free! (Did I say the lady looked like good health, no wheelchair and no canes.)

What is this that a group of people want something for free? Was reading a report today of those who are choosing to not make their payments of money they borrowed for college education.

Saw a news report on Newsmax showing a leader in Boston wearing sombrero and outfit depicting south of the border wear! She peeps around her sign and one other had a sign. The gentleman held up a signboard with Matthew 25:35

Matthew 25:31 When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand,  'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.

Not sure why this man chose this scripture but it has to do with the Lord ushering judgment which will divide people! This judgment will be based on moral character, and the character is revealed by charitable deeds, or the lack of them. An outward evidence demonstrates inner righteousness or good character produces good work.

Cultivating a Matured Life in Jesus: In 2 Peter, the letter begins with the content of cultivating Christian maturity. Within this, he puts a foundation of experiencing God and Christ where our influence is totally of God and not man! This first chapter deals with the evidence that God and Christ are closely linked: 1:1,2 that God knows Christ as His son in 1:17. He points to the activity that divine purpose is centered in Jesus Christ and Him only. And the Holy Spirit is referred to in verse 21. The Holy Spirit is the power required for possible growth in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:10-22  NKJV 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

12 For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. 13 Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you 14 knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. 15 Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.  After his departure, his exodus into another place like the Hebrew nation leaving Egypt into the Promised Land…

From verse 15: Peter was speaking of his concern that Christians make their calling and election sure by meeting the terms of eternal life. Each of our lives is on the “border of that eternal world”. Are we leaving a legacy to friends, to the world….for it is not about how much we accumulate but how much we leave by the means of giving and spreading the Gospel to others.

Do we know that what Peter was emphasizing was more than just receiving Jesus as Lord?

16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. Peter, James and John..they gave account of His glory and His coming reign as King for Israel

Peter reminds of the importance of the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. And he recalls the majesty of Him. Do we recall seeing His works and telling of them in our lives to others? That is, do we recount to others the good the Lord has done for us….?

17 For he received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory; “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

What these experienced at the sacred event on the mountain was confirmation of the OT prophecies. These three men: Peter, James and John had access to see and experience for a few minutes the glory of Christ’s kingdom that was future. Still this glimpse added a new dimension to their thinking. It forced them into future thinking.

IN F.W. Grant’s translation of verse 19 we find very helpful….He put it this way:” to which you do well in taking heed (as to a lamp that shines in an obscure place, until the day of dawn and the morning star rises) in your hearts.” In this Mr. Grant noted with parenthesis. He linked the heed with “in your hearts

For you and I, we are to pay attention, be alert in our hearts!  Just as the rising of the Morning Star, the picture would be that of keeping the prophetic word before us, as a light in this dark world until the age is ended and Christ appears.

2 Peter:20-21 knowing this first; that no prophesy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

D.T. Young wrote: “no prophecy of the Scripture represents an individual’s interpretation: men spoke as they moved by the Holy Ghost.”

It was not a matter of anyone’s opinion, it was and by the Holy Spirit that the writings of the Holy Bible came. Was never of man’s ideas, and not ever of man’s imagination, the truth came by the Holy Spirit operating in them to speak and to do.

Within that…..We enter into His kingdom for eternal life!  We are to have no opinions we are to only have the word of God. When Christ Jesus is settled in our hearts, then His word prevails. We are not to be seated on the fence of deciding if we be for Christ, but that He died for us to give us eternal life. With the hope in His return we look up for our Redemption Draws Near!

No opinions but only what Holy Ghost gives us to do! Much grief is caused in the world today by this same godless attitude. Deceived, warped souls blow themselves up along with innocent men, women and children in the name of their religion. They give a scripture that has nothing to do with the present.

Followers of Christ are of a different spirit, “For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” Jesus rebuked James and John. They still had much to learn.

Jesus would be ushering in a new kingdom, HIS! Jesus wants us to know His truth and have the character that matches that truth. Just putting on another costume will not cause you to produce life in Him.

We must turn to the atmosphere of His word to understand His will. In it we recognize His way and hear the voice of His Spirit. Psalm 119:18….Do not look for the great earthquake or the great fire but the still small voice!

Do Not Fear Loneliness, nor Failure: Matthew 28:20 “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; & lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. Heb. 13:5b I will never leave you or forsake you.  Luke 7:12-16 And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of His mother; & she was a widow. & a large crowd from the city was with her. 13 When the Lord saw her & said to her, “do not weep.” 14 Then He came & touched the open coffin & those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” 15 So he who was dead sat up & began to speak. & He presented him to his mother. 16Then fear came upon all, & they glorified God saying, “a great prophet has risen up among us” and God has visited His people.”

Jesus sympathizes with the Lonely: He was bullied because people said He was a mistake his mother Mary made. But Jesus is the Son of GOD. No mistake here! Joseph, the natural father on earth died early in his years. Loneliness is real and people want to avoid, yet it is ever present! When Jesus entered Nain, a widow was making her way to a tomb to place her son. Her life would be one of loneliness and despair. Her hope for any substance in living was gone. A widow stopped at the gate of Nain, and the “FEAR of the LORD” appeared. The presence of God : it is the place where things change! Not in an earthquake, not in a fiery violent fire, but Jesus placing His hand on the open coffin. “Do not weep.”

Sickness causes one to come to loneliness. No one wants to help. They want free stuff! Just ask me!  But what appears in some is there potential for oneself. They like what pleases them. Ask Jesus who came to the Cross that day. Many stayed away. Only those who care show up and pray! Only those who are helpers will be there in an instant!

Holy Spirit You want me to do what?   Romans 5:6-14    Amplified Bible….6 Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the Holy Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever]. 7[That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God’s law; indeed it cannot. 8 So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him.

9 But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really] dwells within you [directs and controls you]. But if anyone does not possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of his [he does not belong to Christ, and is not truly a child of God. (Romans 8:14)

10 But if Christ lives in you [then although] your [natural] body is dead by reason of sin and guilt, the spirit is alive because of the righteousness [that He imputes to you]. 11 And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you. 12 So then, brethren, we are debtors, but not to the flesh [we are not obligated to our carnal nature], to live [a life ruled by the standards set up by the dictates] of the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the dictates of the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the Holy Spirit you are habitually putting to death ( making extinct, deadening) the evil deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Holy Spirit You are welcome here. Help us walk forward in the strength of the Lord. Storms will appear but we are not moved. We find strength in the bodies you have given us for your glory and praise. Help us to be all we are meant to be in Jesus. Amen and Amen.

I make this statement believing Jesus will not marry us in heaven. He said there is to giving away in that ceremony. Matthew 22:30-32) He expands us to His way of living.
