Grit and Spit

Prayer causes us to Boldly Speak!
Just just posted a new teaching for Voice of Prayer YouTube channel see link below! In this was the power of prayer and how it is picking battles against principalities like seen in that of Artemis the principality of abortion!
We find this of true grit and spit in Jesus:

John 9:1-12 NKJV Now as Jesus passed by, he saw a man who was blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered & said, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned; but that the works of God should be revealed in him. 4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day, the night is coming when no one can work.
1.            That work is: the urgent energy to accomplish or perform the tasks given
2.            The things accomplished through Jesus were works of God’s power and His might.
3.            And this act of divine presence had spit in it! Did you ever have a cousin who wanted to spit on you? I remember being eight years old and my four year old cousin wanted to spit on me. If he could not reach me with his spit, he would spit in his hand and then run fast to at least touch my arm....yuck!

John 9:5-12  As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 When he had said these things, he spat on the ground & made clay with the saliva; & He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. 7 And He said to him. “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is translated ‘Sent’). So he went & washed & came back seeing. 8 Therefore the neighbors & those who previously had seen that he was blind said, ‘Is not this he who sat & begged?” 9 Some said, “This is he.” Others said, “he is like him.” He said, “I am he”. 10 Therefore they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?” 11 He answered & said, “A Man called Jesus made clay & anointed my eyes & said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went & washed, & I received sight.”
12 Then they said to him, “Where is He?” He said, “I do not know.” Silver & gold did not heal this man of blindness but Jesus did!

As Jesus was the Sent One, so too He gives instruction to us in being obedient to the truth of His word He brought! He worked in the spit and moistening of the clay with yes, spit and applied! In this work of God through His Son Jesus brought many problematic things into the life of Jesus.  For one thing: The work of Jesus gave rise to division.  BUT: Obedience is seen in the blind man to obey Jesus’ command! Many became the "haters" of Jesus because of that which was done to glorify the Father!
Healing came to the blind man in that he could now see and see Him who expressed great love to see the recovery of sight to those who desired to see!

To have grit is to have time in prayer with God! Jesus did. He prayed alone in Matthew 14:23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there to pray.
Multitudes can gather around you when someone is healed, when someone has received strength in their body, when a precious word has come in that encouragement and these same multitudes can highlight every aspect of that moment, hour or period of time spent whether it is for a conference, healing event or worship event! A person can highlight that specific thing as when Pastor Jude came up to bring an encouraging word to the divorced people, and Jenny Jo came up and sang your favorite song or relate the three woman teaching all had give such similar messages without being together at any one time in the last three months before this conference.
 Point is prayer should guide our lives in that we should speak what the Lord directs us in speaking and doing ( that work given to us do through Jesus Christ)

In John 11:41 we find Jesus now praying in public! John 11:14-44 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. AND Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, " Father, I thank You that You have heard Me, 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that YOU sent Me."43 Now when he had said these things , He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!" 44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Loose him, and let him go."

From praying in the lonely place, the private place ( secret place) we find love, truth and confidence to speak out loud without a mega phone and tell others of the love of God. We speak with a confidence that shakes the ground, it gives glory to the Father Who heard us in the secret place to speak loudly before men and women and see the glory of God come in this place that was a cemetery, yes the dead place!

Unless we have that quiet time with Him and allow Him to speak to us, we rely on ourselves in situations like seeing healing for the blind or the dead man to walk. We know of a couple that expected to see the dead walk out of the tomb. They pray together and ask others to agree with them to see that come for those who may have died suddenly without any warning. They die suddenly without fulfilling the purpose for which God had for them to finish in the lifetime.  It has been my great honor to pray with such ones who believe the Lord come in all His glory to raise the dead. I believe it will occur soon for them for they will not let go of God nor of His plan for the people who loves to have life and to have it abundantly.

We have examples of a praying man:

Jesus prayed when He as baptized: Luke 3:21-22 When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.

Jesus prayed after healing people: Luke 5:16 So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.

Jesus prayed all night before choosing His 12 disciples:Luke 6:12-13 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Jesus prayed before walking on water. Matthew 14:23 Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. 23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, he went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, he was alone there.

Jesus prayed for Himself, His disciples, and all believers just before heading to Gethsemane: John 17:1-26 ( verses 1 through 5 He prays for Himself, verses 6-19 He prays for His disciples and verses 20-26 He prays for all believers!

Jesus prayed in Gethsemane before His betrayal: (3 prayers) Matthew 26:36-46  Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, "Sit here while I go and pray over there." 37 And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. 38 The He said to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me." 39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will."
He prayed for the Father's Will!
Matthew 26:40-42 Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "What?" Could you not watch with Me one hour? 41 "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is will, but the flesh is weak." 42 Again a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done."
For Him to pray this, His spirit man was in dominance over the flesh creature!
Matthew 26:43 -46 and He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. 44 So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
To obey the Father was paramount for Jesus. In love Jesus took the cup wrath meant for man-kind. Our trust is to be in God and the promises He has given us. Jesus was the Betrayed. And it was into the hands of sinner he the messianic King takes the path of suffering. He prayed in agony and rose with a poise of humility to face the "haters"!

Jesus prayed before being nailed to the Cross: Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying "Eli , Eli lama sabacthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
Also found in Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eloi, Eloi lama sabacthani? which is translated, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

Jesus prayed with His dying breath: Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, 'Father into Your hands I commit My Spirit.' Having said this, he breathed His last.

Jesus blessed the disciples before His Ascension: Luke 24:50-53 And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that he was parted from them and carried up into heaven 52 And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen.

From the English Oxford Living Dictionary, grit means: courage and resolve; strength of character…
This given according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, grit in the context of behavior is defined as “firmness of character; indomitable spirit.”

In understanding the longing of eternity with God, should we pay attention to today in prayer that strengthens to fulfill that which God has given to us to work through Jesus Christ?
What attitude we hold toward knowing God and knowing Him through prayer will determine our outcome!
Teddy Roosevelt, a Grand Sire of Grit had to make many speeches before large crowds of people of many countries! If you have ever looked at the history of this man’s life, it was noted of the very importance of overcoming fear and managing vulnerability. This was given in a speech in 1907. An excerpt from the speech “Citizenship in a Republic” that was delivered at the Sorbonne in Paris France!
He stated:
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly.

Remember the couple I told you earlier in this writing? Their heart is to see people raised from the dead to finish the purpose God had for them to work in their lifetime. Too many people have died early without fulfilling any thing regarding that purpose God set for them.
Prayer connects us to our Creator. Prayer communicates and allows Him to communicate with us. In that we should expect to fulfill that purpose. For God set it in motion in His Son. We have read some of those examples in this writing today. Join me in prayer  and let us expect that Excellence in the fulfillment of that purpose and it will be seen as we are being dependable. And that only comes through having a courageous heart with God's creative ability within us. Let us find that secret place that leads us to the public speaking arenas and raising the dead to see His kingdom come on earth in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Popularity

Anyone who has attended high school or even college can relate to those who seem to be the "popular" crowd, the lovely people or the "in-crowd". Now that last description might give you an idea from what generation I came from, but I could not at the age of 13 years relate how I needed my name among the "popular" ones.
For me and my sister, we took to being outdoors, in riding bikes, her playing baseball and me, well I loved to listen to music and watch my mother prepare some great meals. She could bake the most delectable chocolate fudge cake with 7-Minute Icing.  Although many times she told me not to touch something or get burned, still I helped in those moments she might have missed seeing.


Was recently reading an article written by Joy Allmond who is a writer based in Charlotte, N.C. And in her story she related to the Proverbs 31 woman. She initially touched on verse 23 that speaks "her husband is respected at the city gate; where he takes his seat among the elders of the land."
Now I certainly know my husband has respect in that place of business in the market place. But continuing to read Joy Allmonds story I was back in my teens and dealing with acne. Highlights mentioned was the presence of media in today's culture. Her words described that high school popularity contest and I remember being in one my first year in high school.
I thought of that moment being selected to walk down the aisle of this grand room with a young man taking my arm and going to the front of that great crowd, wearing ball gown luxury and the such. Aah yes, hair was done and a dress was selected, although not one gown bought but received a new one wore once.  With gown in hand and appointment made for hair, I daily took a look at "that grand gown" which to me was truly a beautiful gown of fuschia (skirt)  and white bodice of tiny crystals and sequins and fuschia thread interlaced around the crystals.
Then the week of this "grand event" I was told no one but the seniors  would win. So why dress up if it is rigged. That answer that was given to me that day was they "deserved it"! Talk about "let down city",  and the much ado about nothing that week! My thought was, how do I handle this situation, how do I feel about losing before I started?

So all that money for new shoes, and hairdo and a dream was shattered. I thought someone might have had some kind of chance of winning. Oh yeah and did I mention that I was the new kid in school and all the other girls from my age group had walked down that aisle how many times to see the "senior "class win! ( yes, they did this yearly in October, and a couple was selected to walk down the aisle only to lose to the seniors)

The other word this lady mentioned in her writing was social media and of course I thought of the likes of Facebook and how many would like you or not like you. Still I stand back and watch how a cultural society names the top woman of the year who neither looks like a mother, a teacher or a leader. Now without negative attitudes flaring, I see that women by the word of God stand in the right place when their husbands are positioned in "Christ Jesus".


My husband I met in high school. We talked some and really did not get to know each other till graduation from high school. He played football and was the quarterback. I was not the popular cheerleader. I did appear for a season or two with the pep squad, but that lasted till I was told to yell and lost my voice to laryngitis. I would have thought with 5 cheerleaders and about 35 cheerers in the squad some else might take their stance of yelling for a while.

Seriously, popularity should not be a part of the household of faith folks. Galatians 6:10 therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.  Godliness in us is not achieved by some external code. Popularity does not depend on how good one looks, how rich they might be, what family they are from, or what great I.Q. they might have. I do not need many people to like me.

As the woman of faith, I in a child-like manner seize daily that word of God, to pray to understand it and relate it to others. My faith causes me to spiritually portray my Savior in ways to others that brings praise and glory to His name. Those who truly win in this category are those whose hearts are set on God, whose lives are submitted to knowing Him more deeply and giving praise for His willingness to die for us!

My life will not be dictated by Tweets, or how many likes........but it will be guided by the God of glory. My life will be known for speaking of Him and all that He has done for me and mine. My life will always be with a rejoicing heart embracing truth that the life I live by faith might come with heartaches and heartbreaks but my confidence is in Him. I am worry free, love grounded and united to Him in His peace.
Today I choose to focus my life on that which is lovely, pure, virtuous and praiseworthy.

What is here today will be gone tomorrow! What matters in likes or dislikes or how many tweets makes no difference in the kingdom of God. For charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her the fruit of her hands and let her own works praise her in the gates.

The high standard set in God and His commands is that which is not by some romantic male but by Him Who gave His life for you and for me! The ideal that God has for us is within His words of the Holy Bible and they give a description that will go with us all the way through eternity!

Challenged


Voice of Prayer
When we think of being challenged, we often think of someone who maybe was born without legs or arms. We might think of someone who was born without sight or unable to walk because of some defect in their body. One might have been born with mental deficiencies. Yet all people can stand in face of a challenger and be challenged in an arena, in a political scene, or just challenged for being a male or female!

In the history of Israel, David was challenged by Goliath. Daniel was placed in the lion's den! Elijah was challenged by Queen Jezebel. Some of those men and women are spoken of today through the books of the Bible and especially those of faith in Hebrews 11!

Yes it was recorded in the New Testament of those men and women of faith who faced opposition that caused some to die in their standing for truth of God, His mighty deeds and the promises given them! In each case of those recorded for us, we find men and women who encountered their Creator in personal ways that was evidenced that is more than just a force of power, but He is worthy of approach. And of that approach one must come to Him in faith believing.

By believing Him, we come boldly to His throne of grace. We speak freely to Him knowing He is there to hear us. In that belief we seek God with our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

In thinking of what Jesus faced when He was baptized in the Jordan River and immediately was sent into the desert or wilderness area to be tested by Satan, we see that anything to do with God will bring the devils out of hiding!

Have you ever thought that the adversary's title on earth would be The Administrator of Curse? Yikes! Now would that be a title you would want?

Still Jesus knew who he was when we read in Luke chapter 4! The devil was quick to flaunt the world's kingdoms and their glory! Still Jesus maintained His focus to that for which He was called.

He said this in John 7:25-31 NKJV 25 Now some of them from Jerusalem said, "is this not He whom they seek to kill?" 26 'But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ? 27 However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from."
28 then Jesus cried out, as he taught in the temple, saying, "You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but he who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. 29 But I know Him, for I am from Him and He sent Me." 30 Therefore they sought to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come. 31 And many of the people believed in Him, and said, "When the Christ comes, will he do more signs than these which this Man has done?"

Jesus was being challenged on who He was and what He came to do! In John 6:35 Jesus declared, '" I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. Jesus having fed 5, 000 people is still being asked to do a miraculous sign to help others believe. Each of us must seek Him on our own. We each must receive Him in our hearts!

In the Light of the World: We are told this in John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, " I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. You and I must apply what He has given into our lives and within that we discover that Jesus is our answer!
Jesus is our answer to sin issues, to money problems, and even health issues!

Jesus Our Gate: John 10:9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture. Jesus Our Good Shepherd: John 10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. If you have been in church long enough you find truly good shepherd and not so good shepherds. Some are just willing to leave their "sheep" for their own safety. But Jesus risked all. Our Shepherd is He who knowingly and willingly died to save you and me!

The Resurrection and the Life: John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, " I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. The single qualification is Jesus paid the price for the way through His death for our sins. Truly He is the Way, the Truth and the Life to us! John 14:6 reminds us of these words. Jesus answered, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Jesus: The Vine, John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. Truly without Him you and I can do nothing of ourselves. We truly need Him!

If you are being challenged today and they look like your boss, your doctor, your mother-in-law, or the neighbor next door, know that if you are born again, you have Jesus living on the inside of you. He spiritually sustains us by being our bread! Through His light we find our way through difficult situations. For He truly gives us His wisdom and understanding for living by His precepts for life!

Worried about the future and challenged by people speaking too may words. Remember Proverbs 10:19 ESV when words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. Proverbs 18:2 ESV A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion. God's wisdom is available to us for all circumstances and in every season. We have the gate into His kingdom that has come. He paid a high price for you and I to enter and we should take advantage of doing that!
Whatever challenges you today, remember the Lord is your strength, and He will show you the way through. By faith today, move into that abundant place of answers for your life. Allow the Lord to demonstrate His glory through you in the workplace, in your home, at the Doctor's Office, or with the neighbor next door for  He will show Himself strong in you and through you and within this others will come to know Jesus is with you, always!

Grace


Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Notice we are to come boldly to the throne of grace, that we (you and me) may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. YOU and I do not require reservations at this time, we come openly to Him with trust. We come in faith expecting to see grace for our present moment and for our future. Jesus walked before us through His death, burial and resurrection.

Our freedom comes in Jesus Christ. It is by faith that you and I become free of fear from the very fear of death. As our High Priest, we know the One who understands our temptations and can help us as we become free from sin.

Hebrews 12:8-29 Therefore since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptable with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Jesus brought us much revelation. Upon His return to earth, the signal is given to remove all temporal in order that only heavenly and spiritual realities may remain.
So, yes, your reality program will no longer remain. Heaven comes to earth, and Jesus made it known when He came as a babe in Bethlehem. It was about bringing peace on earth and that was through Jesus Christ the son of God!

In regard to the written Word of God we can see where sin plays a role in the lives of people.


For every problem, individual or national, has its root embedded in sin. But what causes sin?
1.      Wrong desires brought to fruition, and everyone—from peasant to king—is subject to wrong desires. As to this country, it would be from the people all the way to the President. That is why it is important for your leadership as the President be one who has received Jesus as Lord of their lives.
2.      From the beginning of time, sinners have blamed their sins on others. Satan blamed God, Eve blamed Satan, and Adam blamed Eve. 
3. If your parents were divorced, you might have seen one blamed in the separation of family and of lives. Sin certainly plays a big role in lives of people. Sin would be helpless if it did not appeal to something in man. It is through desires that man's human nature kicks in to action. If a man desires long enough through the meditation process, the consequence is virtually inevitable. Desiring long enough certainly becomes action to perform.


By the grace of God sin and its desire can be eliminated! If you and I humbly and thoughtfully give ourselves to Christ, to knowing Him and the Word he is then manifested on earth. It is when you and I truly get involve in that which is of the Father's will for us on earth then we certainly have much less time for evil desires.

Hebrews 13:9 Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.. 10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.

You and I as the tabernacle of God must rely on the food God has provided. It must not be foods of myth or traditions. You and I, by His grace are separated unto Him. It is by removing ties to traditions of men and fables.  Our food is that which reveals that the kingdom of God has come. By the sacrifice of Jesus, you and I have secured that personal and intimate access to God. (Hebrews 10:22)
Let's worship for His return. Let us eagerly live our lives that is worship unto Him and not to a culture that is fading away.
For you and I should not be distracted by the new "fads", that new gimmick, or a "new doctrine" for our lives should look like holy lives filled with faith and overflowing with honor to Him.

Father thank You for Grace...thank You for Jesus and that which came through Him. I pray from Hebrews 12: 25 that we not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised saying, Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven. 27 (For Father) "yet once more " indicates the removal of those things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 (for You our Father) are a consuming fire.
Father thank You for the removal of that which is not needed in our lives, that we receive the heavenly and spiritual realities to remain in Him forever. Amen.
