Genesis 3:8-15
8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."
11 And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"
12 The man said, "The woman you put here with me--she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it."
13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?"
The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this,
"Cursed are you above all the livestock
and all the wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity

We know this excuse really well. "Well, he did it,"...."well, she did it...." oh my...EXCUSES!
Then we find this excuse in Jeremiah 1. And the prophet is telling the LORD, that he is but a child....."only a child".(verse 6)
Jeremiah 1:1-19
1:1 The words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, one of the priests at Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin. 2 The word of the LORD came to him in the thirteenth year of the reign of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah, 3 and through the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, down to the fifth month of the eleventh year of Zedekiah son of Josiah king of Judah, when the people of Jerusalem went into exile.
4 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
6 "Ah, Sovereign LORD," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child."
7 But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.
9 Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth. 10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant."
11 The word of the LORD came to me: "What do you see, Jeremiah?"
"I see the branch of an almond tree," I replied.
12 The LORD said to me, "You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled."
13 The word of the LORD came to me again: "What do you see?"
"I see a boiling pot, tilting away from the north," I answered.
14 The LORD said to me, "From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land. 15 I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms," declares the LORD.
"Their kings will come and set up their thrones in the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem;they will come against all her surrounding walls and against all the towns of Judah. 16 I will pronounce my judgments on my people because of their wickedness in forsaking me,in burning incense to other gods and in worshiping what their hands have made.
17 "Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. 18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land--against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. 19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.

Romans 1:18-26
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
NKJV
Man is without excuse.
Even today, man can try to manipulate God, and in that find their own minds betraying them and becoming dark in their own imaginations, they are given up to their own thought process. Never mind God's word. What????
Could you tell God, sorry<"God, I have my own word for the day today". Thanks....but.....!
In conversation, I discovered quickly how fast one changes the will of God to their will of who they think will suffice in trouble.
In listening to the person speak, it was evident they were leading to that "I am okay, You are okay"....so everyone is okay...!" Wrong! The person was so wrong and could not see it or the whole plan they established for themselves and their family. And they will walk awhile on this "yellow brick" road for awhile and figure that they will be seeing Oz instead of God!
There is no excuse in God. God has no excuses. He is God.
On the other hand, we are human and certainly are bound to mistake avenue a couple or maybe three times this year. OH NO!
God's word should be our standard. It is His Word that should be held up and not anyone person. Your auntie, or grandmother did nothing for my salvation.
Jesus bore all for me, and for you and the millions of others who will read this. Jesus took it all to the Cross so that I would receive mercy instead of wrath.
SEPARATE FROM ANY INFLUENCE OF
THE WORLD
Separate from an influence that will compromise
your walk with God
Separate from noise of life: God will speak to
us but not from the noise of the world
Idols separate us from God and His
plan: that is anything we worship with our time or money will be seen.
Self-pity is not being grateful about
what God has done to separate you from the world and things
Hebrew 10:19-23 NIV
19
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by
the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the
curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house
of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of
faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and
having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the
hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
James 4:8-10
8
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners,
and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Grieve, mourn and wail. Change
your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves before
the Lord, and he will lift you up.

TRANSFORMATION by the Spirit of
God
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 NKJV
17
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory
of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
By the Spirit of the Lord we are led to the
state of blessedness as believers entering through and becoming into His
likeness, Christ’s
2
Corinthians 3:18; (c) of the state of
blessedness into which believers are to enter hereafter through being brought
into the likeness of Christ, e.g., Romans 8:18,21
Our
image is in Him: looking into His beauty and His strength
Looking
at Him and His ways will determine our behavior
Looking
at Him we will see our future
Romans 12:2 NKJV
2 And
do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of
God.
Being
transformed in our thinking will turn us over to being spiritually minded.
1 Peter 4:5-6 NKJV
6 For this reason the gospel was preached also
to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh,
but live according to God in the spirit.
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
If you think you are okay, then ask yourself this:
"if God be for me, then who will be against me?"
Romans 8:31
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
NKJV
God so merciful, that He gave His Son to die for me. He gave a Son to die for us all! What love! What beauty! Oh that He would be determined to die for me. If I am looking into His face, what comes to the surface? Is it more of the reflection of him in our lives. or is it of someone else in our lives? If I have set God's standard of His word in someone other than Jesus. then Mistake Avenue is just a short jump across too many gods alley. If I have placed, yes given my strength to another, then who have I given my strength to?
Proverbs 5:7-14
7 Now then, my sons, listen to me;
do not turn aside from what I say.
8 Keep to a path far from her,
do not go near the door of her house,
9 lest you give your best strength to others
and your years to one who is cruel,
10 lest strangers feast on your wealth
and your toil enrich another man's house.
11 At the end of your life you will groan,
when your flesh and body are spent.
12 You will say, "How I hated discipline!
How my heart spurned correction!
13 I would not obey my teachers
or listen to my instructors.
14 I have come to the brink of utter ruin
in the midst of the whole assembly."
NIV
If we do not like someone telling us what to do.........in say getting a routine in place and choosing say a goal, then we see someone who is really NOT involved in making some effort in living a life full of promise and hope that shines for the glory of God. Goal setting is something God did. He set His Rainbow not to flood the earth again. He set a rugged Cross at Calvary.
God placed His Son before us and in choosing life, we see His perspective on so much we so desperately need to know and understand about this life. Jesus is that Promise Keeper. In Him we find all we need. In Him we have our vision cast upon the waters of His Word and in the cover of the sky at night we have the trust revealed that God is more than enough for us.
In the passage above, we find a person who desired to give their wealth to another. They did not want any form of discipline in their life. They spurned correction and not hearing instructors, one within the midst of the whole assembly fell into utter ruin. Amazing to me, that it mentions who who fell in the midst of the whole assembly, was UNTEACHABLE!
NO, it will be seen. There will be no fruit present. There will no halleljuah and Amen to God, for setting another in the Standard of God Himself is really selling oneself short. We will certainly meet Mr. and Mrs. I'm Okay, Your okay again down the road. Although I think they will reside in Ditch, U.S.A.
The Word Standard they set up with a family member, will find them in deep hurt.
May our eyes truly be open to deceit and the well-crafted lie of the enemy. May our eyes see and understand that God is always truth and our protection. Anything off Security Lane, and His peace will reside someplace else.
If we live by the Holy Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.----if
by the Holy Spirit, we have our life (in God), let us go forward walking in
line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.
Today,
we bind OURSELVES to the life of God and His will. We bind any appetites to God, any
diets, to His will and to His pattern for us. We loose us from any
wrong attitudes about food and the strongholds around them. We loose wrong
desires for food and the gratifications we may get from them. We bind ourselves to
truth of God. We loose any wrong ideas, thoughts theories for living our life
as others do. We bind ourselves to God’s way of living life to the full.
Father,
we thank You for all the promises to us in Your Word. We thank You for the work
You continue to do in us……..as Your Word does its work……….that You sent
it to do, we pray Your Will be done in earth (in me) as it is in Heaven. Amen.
