Standing Before the Lord

Jeremiah 15:19-21
19 Therefore thus says the LORD:

"If you return,
Then I will bring you back;
You shall stand before Me;
If you take out the precious from the vile,
You shall be as My mouth.
Let them return to you,
But you must not return to them.
20 And I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall;
And they will fight against you,
But they shall not prevail against you;
For I am with you to save you
And deliver you," says the LORD.
21 "I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked,
And I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible."
NKJV

Could you imagine being a mouthpiece for God? What about in this day and time, to speak truth that the Lord desires to deliver? Have you considered being a mouthpiece for God?

IN verse 19 of Jeremiah 15, the Amplified Bible states this:
Therefore thus says the Lord [to Jeremiah]: If you return [and give up this mistaken tone of distrust and despair], then I will give you again a settled place of quiet and safety, and you will be My minister; and if you separate the precious from the vile [cleansing your own heart from unworthy and unwarranted suspicions concerning God's faithfulness], you shall be My mouthpiece.[But do not yield to them.] Let them return to you-----not you [to the people].

Interesting to note here, is that the Lord told the prophet to reveal to the people to return back to stand before Him. And they had to take disparaging words (criticizing) out of their speaking. In looking that word up (disparaging) I also saw it had a disrespectful attitude toward another and came out sounding like arrogance and or low estimation.

The second thing I noted here, was the Lord told those in hearing this not to return to the people.
How many times do we love to "return to the people" , those who look like us, sound like us.........and make us feel most comfortable with all the time?

I then was reminded of this from verse 17....of 2 Corinthians 6.

2 Corinthians 6:11-18
11 We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you. 12 We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us. 13 As a fair exchange-I speak as to my children-open wide your hearts also.

14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."

17 "Therefore come out from them
and be separate,
      says the Lord.

Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you."
18 "I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters,
  says the Lord Almighty."   NIV

We must stand for truth and honor.
The Amplified Bible states this:
Verse 11-18 Our mouth is open to you, Corinthians [we are hiding nothing, keeping nothing back], and our heart is expanded wide [for you]! 12 There is no lack of room for you in [our hearts], but you lack room in your own affections [for us]. 13 By way of return the, do this for me-----I speak as to children-----open wide your hearts also [to us]. 14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can can light have fellowship with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

16 What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with  and among them, and I will be their God and they shall be My people.
17 So come out from among [unbeliever's], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor. 18 And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

A crowd should be forming, but it is for the "believer". And our walk with God should be noticed. If we truly walk in His power and His anointing of the Holy Spirit, the "people" should be coming to join us and not us running to join up with them.

Leaving the crowd to form another may seem less likely to happen to some. But if our hearts are set on God and His plan, we cannot help but see the lost come to salvation to where we stand with God. In standing for truth and honor, we stay before our God. We take our stand to not run with "a crowd" but make sure the line starts for a crowd where we are gathered in His Name.
Our trust is to be in Him. Our speaking is to lift His holy Name, and speak of His goodness. But do we see it today?
God must be our Father. Jesus must be our "Savior". And the Holy Spirit ,must be our Comfort and our Guide.

The world did not die for me. And the crowds of people who wander search for life. But it is not found in other people, fancy automobiles, fancy homes, ornate jewelry or in entertainment. Only one thing occurs each time, and that is to remove, to subtract, yes divide a person. The world can and will separate you from good health, separate you from your money, your job, your family and even your life.
We must want to have a desire to know the Father, stand before Him, and give a report of faith that He is good. To be that son or daughter and to have His favor is far BETTER for us!

1 Peter 3:17-18
17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,  NKJV

May the line form where you stand. May God be in the midst and may your foundation be established in truth and in honor. Amen.
