Courageous from the Inside Out.........September 11, 2014

Proverbs 30:2-5...Surely I am more stupid than any man, and do not have the understanding of a man. 3 I neither learned wisdom nor have I knowledge of the Holy One. 4 Who has ascended into heaven or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, if you know? 5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. (NKJV)

Today, being courageous is doing what is right according to what our Father God states in His Word and not according to the world's standards.
We are aware of the Mental Knowledge. As good as it may be, is still inadequate and is capable of producing pride!
In 1 Corinthians 8:1-3...Now concerning things offered to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. 2 And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know. 3 But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him. (NKJV)

Courage is being able to stand in the face of an enemy (a report of sickness, disease;  any person who sets out to harm another person;  presenting conflict to the body of believer's or elsewhere: ie, on the job site, in ministry, within a family situation that causes bodily hurt, and occurring at the least likely moment)

We have been given our five senses, but they make poor masters in the event of decision making! Basing our decisions on our senses is folly. Without true knowledge we fall victim to our senses and relying on them is detrimental to our lives. Making a decision based on the fear factor, we are likely to run into the confusion arena where darkness takes over. Instead of running to the Father of light with His knowledge, His wisdom, we choose to blanket ourselves in the darkness of confusion and as the fear multiplies, and terror grips our souls, we look for the "way out of the circumstance". When we do not rely on the Word of God, we become the driver (of our situation) to act out on the fear based emotions we are experiencing. This acting out is based on false evidence.
Our trust is to be in God. We are to have knowledge of the Holy One.

It is pretty simple to apply God's Word. In  Proverbs 23:12 ...apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge. (NKJV)
It is paramount to apply our hearts to instruction. Just like learning to swim, takes some time, and water swallowing at times, so does learning to read, understand, to practice what we have read, & meditated on in scripture.
I am in awe when people say, "you do not have to read the Bible everyday"! Wow, I certainly do! And if I am not reading it, then I have the CD on with scriptures either on healing or from the New Testament playing. I also keep praise and worship to God going in the center of the house as well!
I surely want the Lord to know that He is welcome in this home! I want Him to always know I desire His wisdom and His way of doing beyond any natural thing I could every choose to do.
In Proverbs 2:10-14...it says that wisdom enters our heart, and knowledge is pleasant to our soul, 11 discretion will preserve us; understanding will keep us. 12 to deliver us from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things, 13 from those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness; 14 who rejoice in doing evil, and delight in the perversity of the wicked; (NKJV)

Again, it appears simple for us to stay in the light of God and His knowledge.  As we stay in His Word and learning His wisdom, then we will not fall into the fear factor of relying on the five senses and of clothing ourselves in darkness!  It is imperative to have the light of God's truth shining in on the thing or the man who set out to harm us! We definitely do not want to be the driver, who forcefully drives further into darkness and confusion and try to make a "right decision" based of the senses that bring folly.
It is the Word of God that will keep you and me, preserve you and me, and will deliver us from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things. We are to adhere to God's teachings, and stay in the light, understanding God's ways and thoughts are life to us. As we do this daily, our hearts are growing in courage to make the "right decisions" in the moment we need them most. When or if the enemy appears, we have the courage in our hearts to defeat him with the light and truth of God's Word.

Today, I set out to be faithful to teach others of God and His knowledge. In 2 Timothy 2:22-26 we are told to flee youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 but avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife; 24 and a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.  (NKJV)
You will know those who call on the name of the Lord out of a pure heart. YOU will also recognize those who do not. No, we are not to quarrel or argue, but in humility those who are to be corrected should be corrected. Look at the life of Jesus, and how many people that He corrected. I can think of the priests in the temple when Jesus turned over the tables of the money changers. I also think of Jesus correcting Peter. People must remember what love looks like and it is more than me telling you, "oh, I love you!" You can ask our daughter, that a lot of love came through correcting her and I am certain, our daughter loves her daughter and does correct and will correct her consistently when it is needed. It takes a pure heart filled with the love of God to pursue being humble, avoiding ignorant disputes, avoiding strife, but to correct when necessary.
Then it appears that our hearts are to be filled to the maximum with the love of God and His Word!
Pay attention at the next meeting or leadership time together, and watch those who operate out of the pure heart, who are willing to yield! Then watch for those who take the floor and run with loose lips. Pay attention, to those who want your attention and have to have their say, and then watch those who are humble in the sight of God, who will remain silent till time to speak. Truly, correction is love and is needed, not only in the homes, but in the communities, in business, and in government!

In a recent study I got on Peace, I like what John Paul Jackson wrote in WAGE PEACE! He said that peace is like authority. It is not a spiritual gift that we were born with, but it is something we experience and carry with us. (Is something we grow in, my words)
So the more we KNOW God, and pursue HIM in righteous, & peace, the more we speak, the more authority we carry the STRONG peace through the darkness, to seek light and the truth of God's Word.
I have learned peace to be a violent word. In the Greek, it means to obtain by quietness by removing what seeks to distract and destroy. This peace is not the simple compliant and serene peace, BUT IS AN aggressive taking out or forceful removal of that which needs to be removed. Peace is not a passive word. When seeking God and His peace, love, faith and righteousness, I am setting my boundaries. So when I say peace in my life, I  am saying what Jesus spoke in the Gospels. When He spoke "peace be with you", He was stating a command that all chaos, darkness, anything of the enemy had to be removed.

The instruction God has given is there so we can place it in our hearts. It is through this instruction that we learn how to co-operate with God and His way of doing things. As we continue studying and meditating on the Word of God, we grow wise in things of God and His kingdom. We become those living wisely and who practice it regularly.
Today, let's take His wise counsel, fill our hearts with knowledge and wisdom of the Holy One, so if and when the enemy tries to darken the doorway of our hearts, we will tell him to take a hike. Today, I believe us to make no provision for the flesh, but I do expect we will walk properly as we see the day approaching of the Lord's return.

Humility and Honor Equals Courage in Your Heart

The Bible tells us much about honor. It tells us that those who have ears that hear the rebukes of life, will abide among the wise. But we also understand, in the same scripture, we find that he who disdains instruction, despises his own soul.( Proverbs 15:31-33 NKJV ) It is understanding then Who created who......and that the fear we should have, has the example of a reverence and an awe toward He WHO spoke light be and it is still expanding today! It is knowing who is Alpha and Omega.
There are many scriptures on honor and humility, but my favorite are found in Proverbs 22:4 and Proverbs 31:25-26. It is that humility that prepares us for honor. When we give honor to the Lord, it is to highly esteem Him, and that we give Him the distinction of the Holy One, who conquered death, hell and the grave. When we truly seek to praise Him in all His glory, and follow closely to being obedient to that written Word, we discover life, righteousness and honor.

THE God of Love, who gave His only Son, gifted us to become the sons of God. It was by grace that we are saved. That has given us opportunity to express gratitude, to spend time with Him and to know the Creator of all things. He who gives such a life should be feared.

When we view the Cross and the humility of Jesus, He became strong in His humility. He bore our weakness, pain, sickness & disease, but courage was in His heart. His heart was one with God His Father. Oh, to know that kind of humility, that strengthens our hearts in the most painful of times and troubles that darken our pathways, but Jesus was surely strengthened to make that walk to the Cross!
Jesus was ruled not by His flesh but by His spirit man. He gained strength in staying connected to His Father through the Word that brings truth and life to our mortal bodies. Jesus retained riches and honor and life by giving up His life to live for the Father. Jesus was obedient!

I love the scriptures of the virtuous wife. It tells she girds herself with strength and strengthens her arms. She looks to keep fit and looks out for her household, but she also extends her hands to the poor. She is not afraid of any kind of weather, she is on the go and so is her family. They keep their pace for the kingdom of God. Her husband is known in the city gates. He works with his hands and is known as the business leader. As he sits among the doers in the community, it tells that she gains strength and honor. For as she honors her husband and takes care of her family, people will know who she is as she speaks with wisdom, and her tongue with kindness. She is never idle for she keeps watch over the food supplies, the clothes that need to be washed, the dry cleaning taken to the cleaners, and the job that has to be done. It says her lamp does not go out, and I think of how busy she is, but also think she is aware of the IMPORTANCE OF Prayer and word that must be spoken over her husband, her family and the new day coming! But in all this, we are told as she watches over her household, her children and her husband bless her, they praise her for what she does for them. In the end, she has done well, a woman who fears the LORD, is praised!  And it is God who will give her the fruit of hands and her own works will praise her in the gates. This is honor!

Honor: a courage and a strength that is seen and causes praise to come to you when you follow hard seeing after the needs of others. Love that never murmurs but does something. Love that speaks and fulfills a job to be done. Love that does something without being told, and does it quickly and even in secret most of the time when no one is looking. It is this kind of serving others in the excellence as Jesus did and that which is given in an amount  that is noticeable, it is by words of kindness and sometimes by correction and always by action!

We live in a day and time when people want respect. But do they give respect? People want the glory, but what price did Jesus pay for the glory of God?
People want the name, but do they want to put effort into what it takes to become the name!
People want to be looked up to as the head, as the leader, or as the CEO! But do they understand what it takes to fill that role?
As we see in the Olympics, men and women train year in and year out. They care not of the weather or where they train as long as the job is done. They work their bodies into submission to get the needed strength and endurance it takes to win that Gold Medal! They train while most of us sleep. They train winter, spring, summer, fall, dry or wet, cold or hot, but they continue no matter what the day or night may bring.
I think of the those fighting overseas and on distant lands. I think of those who fight for our country and in those most formidable times of violence, of war and tumult, and they come out victorious to save those they fight with over there against the common enemy. I think of the men who have come from war with no legs or an arm and one leg missing, and suffer with PTSD and still have a medal for valor, or a medal awarded for bravery!

In Proverbs 29 and verse 23b.........but the humble in spirit will retain honor (NKJV) and I think of Jesus, the humble, the wise, the one who took instruction and went to the Cross......and gained honor. He was humble in spirit and spoke no evil, but He did correct them when the correction was needed.
Dare we forget the time of Him driving out the money changers ( the persons who furnished the proselytes and the Jew who came from other countries, with the current coin of Judea, in exchange for their own.coinage ) and those that sold the doves or other. It was those who stood in the area of the priests. These men at the time gained salary by bringing the unmarked and favorable birds and such other animals for the altar. Those who came to offer their sacrifice, had to go through the front of the Temple that was to be for prayer, but those who built up this business, took note if those who might need a worthy sacrifice to offer.........and they told the people who came,  if the offering they brought was good enough and if it was not up to what they thought, those working in the temple would get the needed dove, or such bird or animal that was required for their particular sacrifice and sell it for a price! So there was " stinky things going on in the temple" and it was not for prayer. And Jesus came to drive them out! He told them, in Matthew 21:13............"It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.'"NKJV

Jesus was giving honor to His Father. He showed  not by words alone, but by actions of His faith that the temple was a place of prayer and these men had made it a business! Thus Jesus drove out both the buyers and the sellers. Jesus definitely purged the abuse that was being done in the temple and He, Jesus,  established that God's way was for prayer in that place. The action of selling of the bird and such for profit by the priests was a sin, it was ungodliness and was profane as it defiled the sanctuary.

Jesus was directing them back to the practices whose gain is godliness. Jesus uncovered that these priests were living for more support and squeezing the extra money out of the people for their own gain and use.  Jesus called them thieves, for they were taking what did not belong to them! When we truly seek to be humble ourselves before the Lord, and come into His sanctuary, we see the majesty of His glory. We bask in the beauty of Who He is in the Love He has for mankind.

It was after the driving out the money changers that the temple gained back the godliness it was meant to have. In Matthew 21:14, the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. Yes, it is in the church, the temple of the Living God, the place Believers go and see the manifested goodness and power of God. It is that power that gives sight to the spiritually blind and feet to the lame.
If you should be in church or body of people who worship or say they do and there is no healing going on in the place.........leave now, and go find where the manifested presence of the Lord of glory resides!

Truly, Jesus came as the Prophet to set in motion those things that had to be corrected. He spoke when He needed to speak and He spoke where people did not have to guess at what He was saying.
We are told in Mark 1:14-15.......... Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.'  (NKJV)

He was telling them that change had come, and He was the answer. He was the Savior to the world. It was, and will always be repentance that is God's will and pleasure. (2 Peter 3:9-13) As the prophet, Jesus, gave the matter or the desires of the heart of the Father. It was His Father's desire for man to repent from ungodly ways and turn to the Father.

Today, it still means a cry for a repentance in today's society. Even with all its technology and worldly things, Jesus came to root out and to pull down, and to destroy and to throw down, and to build and to plant.(Jeremiah 1:10)  And today, we can see many folks who love the planting and building! They love the new building and doing the next new thing, but when it comes to getting that nasty root out, that which causes problems like any kind of deceit, choosing to keep the bad apple so it can destroy the whole barrel, so to speak, boy that is hard to do, right? The bad apple can spoil the whole barrel and keep the anointing from operating, But Jesus came to set captives free. He came to break the yokes and remove those things that bind us to the past. Are we setting people  free or we making them even more chained to the past problems, the past hurts, the past sins that brought them poor health and  maybe even a loss of income? It is time to grow up in the Lord! It is time for the body of Christ to gain courage in the heart and speak what is God's heart!
Jesus lived an intense life, and he walked the narrower path!
Should it not be to us as well, that the sense of duty to honor the Father as Jesus. we too, should be crushed with a godly sorrow for ourselves, for our families, for our community and for our nation?
Jesus came and upset some folks.........he ruined the money changers plans and upset the priests in the temple at that time, but Jesus came and He obeyed. Are we ready to ruffle some feathers for the kingdom of God that has come?  It will take courage in the heart just like Jesus had............"do not fear little flock for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:32) AMEN!

What has Captured our Attention?

Where do we set our focus? What captures our attention to take us from what we should actually be doing?
Our culture is one that is devoted to sports. The whole year is set for all kinds of sports and many of them over lap one another. I always thought basketball was done by the end of March, but now seems to go into the summer months or what I call the "dog days of summer". Of course, football started in the fall of the year. But today, it seems football starts in August!
I grew up a Baptist and attended a southern Baptist church till I entered Jr. High School. The reverend always talked of the sin and the importance of salvation. He would have me so frightened by what he spoke of the hell-fire thing and how it would be on those who rejected Jesus, that in every main service I was in, I would go forward to receive JESUS again! Those services were an entire hour, no more and no less, it was an hour long service in the word of God!
Today, we see the pastors wanting to keep a service at or about 30-minutes, for we are told that people get distracted after that amount of time. They figure a 30- minute service will suffice and people will want to come back to the service and it is certain that a 30-minute service would be about making the people happy, right? But in all of that thought process, is it all productive to seeing people move forward in the plan God has for their lives?
My question is this: if we have found some time with the Lord during the week, should we not be glad to be with other Believers for church time,to spend time together in the Word, in worship and in prayer? Should we not be glad to spend the time, no matter how long it takes in worship, in the word of God......... to come and bow down, to give glory to the Lord? Would not the Lord would be happy to see us all together with one heart in worship to Him? Should we not be excited to enjoy other believer's company, have opportunity to pray for them, worship together with them in praise to our Father God? Should we not want to glorify Jesus in all that He did for us.....on the Cross.....and not be concerned about the time?
I see people drawn into the sports thing! They gear up for the season ahead, you know, by purchasing the new team jacket or t-shirt with the team's logo on it and yes a certain number of their favorite player! They do not mind the price of the tickets, or the cost of the new T-shirt or the weather thing going on at the time of the scheduled game time. They set the schedule for the games they really want to watch. If they have it in their home, they set a time for people to be over, of course at game time, and serve some special snack foods which usually have salsa, chips and guacamole as the center theme for their food activity before, during and after the game. The amount of fat and salt comes into play at that time and what should be avoided, if any sandwich is served, like the foot-long hot dog or the foot-long sub? And then, what is served for a refreshment, soda pop or..........some other drink of choice?
No doubt food is truly important to our diets of retaining our healthful vigor!

In scripture, we see Jesus teaching on the hillside and then asking the disciples where they should get something to eat....in all of the teaching, they had no concern for the money, it was of no issue, the issue was there was no place to buy the food! He saw the people come to hear Him teach that day............................AND JESUS already knew what He was going to do! HE WANTED the disciples to get active and participate in the plan of God for the lives of those people WHO CAME TO HEAR AND RECEIVE THE WORD.

What and where we set our focus though will determine our outcome......whether it be for victory or defeat! Will we be active and participate in the lives of those God sends our way?
Again, looking at the game, and the time it is on, and you know those overtimes can be lengthy as well. So, if we figure just for game time, with the half-time activity, you can figure over 3 hours. So if it goes into over-time, look out!
But the average person cannot sit for over 30-minutes to hear the Word of God! I stand in amazement of how this can be in this day and age! Of all that is going on in the world today, are we so set to entertain ourselves with the worldly things and miss what God has for us to do and especially for today in the lives of others?
I can understand a child being distracted, as they are young, have come into a world they are just learning about, and they are in awe of what they view on T. V.   But I also stand in awe, and wonder how do grown-up people get to the place they have to be entertained. I understand the amount of work a football player must do while he is in training which includes the exercise, the right foods and restful sleep that all play a part. I am in awe those who can run and still hold onto the football even in the rain and never lose control. Again, I think of the conflicts that arise through these games and some of it turns ugly. Some games turn into a free for all, the "have your way and speak the filth to others" who are made in the image of God! Yet those who keep their tongues and truly want to be in the game and play as a team see the greater advantage. These look out for others and not just for themselves or what they can get away with at the time. These people just love the game and want to participate in the game with team members.

God wants us to have fun, and truly God does want us to enjoy our life here and be team members on His team! Our lives are for but a moment, just like opening that soda pop can, and the mist of vapor is gone in an instant. So is our lives....for in one moment we are here and in another moment we are gone...........AND did we do anything for the kingdom of God? Will we make a difference while here in this world and would anyone know that we had been here or that we were followers of Jesus?  Should I redirect my focus to the Lord and see how the Holy Spirit will direct my day? Does He really desire us to spend hours in front of a T.V or sitting in a stadium in twenty degree weather to see grown men pass the pigskin.............and is it really made of pigskin?
We see and hear of the testimonies of those who play the game and give glory to God, and do we actually see their lives mirror that God is a part of their lives and see His hand on them in some way? I ask myself, "Will our lives mirror God's way of being and doing?"" Will people see Jesus in us?"
Yes, our attention and what we spend time with will determine our outcome. Will people know whether we devote our time to worship, to prayer, to see others set free to serve the living God or will they know us to be that family that served the best foot-long subs in the city during the big game?  If I truly have that intense and unfailing love for others, will I seek to speak on the goodness of God and of His unfailing love? If I am to attend a game party, will people know me to be a follower of Jesus, one who knows Him intimately or will they know me as the follower of some football team?

Our granddaughter was a part of surprise party back in the spring for a neighbor across the street from them in the Camas area. When the surprise party had started, all the people gathered, they cheered the teenager who turned a year older, and when the guests were satisfied with cake and beverage, they mingled with others. Now some of those attending were from the young lady's and her parents exercise group and some were from her school. Of course, our granddaughter was there, having fun, but she was worshiping Jesus with songs in her heart( meant she was singing out loud) and she was praying for other people there at the party. This older gentleman came to find our daughter and son-in-law..............close to the end of the party.......he wanted to meet the parents of this young girl of the age of four who had a song in her heart toward Jesus, and who wanted to pray for others. He wanted to know who raised such a fired-up young lady for God! Will we be the fire starter for others to see and be a part of or will we be the other guy? I pray others will see us as they see our granddaughter, the one who kept moving through the crowd and talked of Jesus.  I BELIEVE JESUS WAS IN AWE THAT DAY OUR GRANDDAUGHTER DID WHAT SHE DID FOR HIS GLORY. AMEN! It was a birthday party, but for her it was a day of worship towards the Lord!
Our granddaughter practices praise and worship with her parents daily. She hears the Word of God and they have books to read to her about the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. She is accustomed to praying as we prepare to eat a meal or drive to church. We have seen her take up to five minutes or so just to worship and then pray for people at church. (the children, her friends, Bella, Abbey and David, the pastors, her mom and dad and of course Grammy and Grandpa)
Her life is effervescent with the life of God! She tells others of who He is. Her focus is a lifestyle. Will people know what has captured our ATTENTION? WILL THEY KNOW US TO BE ONE OF HIS FOLLOWERS, ONE WHO SPEAKS TRUTH, DECLARES HIS GLORY AND SEEKS THOSE TIME OF ONENESS IN PRAYER TOWARD OUR CREATOR? WILL THEY KNOW US TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD? WILL PEOPLE KNOW US TO HAVE BEEN WITH JESUS?  TRULY IT IS TIME TO FOCUS ON THE ONE WHO SAVES, HEALS AND DELIVERS......AMEN........will we get involved in God's plan...?

This is Not a Dress Rehearsal

Knowing God and His goodness is spending time with Him. It is to be our ultimate goal to know Him and expect His plan to unfold before our eyes. In 1 Peter 4:1-6 we see that we are to arm ourselves with same the thoughts and purposes as Jesus did. We are told in verse one that those who have suffered in the flesh are done with the intentional sin. They are no longer pleasing themselves and the world, but they are pleasing God. It is written that our lives are to be lived for what God desires and wills for our lives. Now Peter was sent to the Jews, and to teach them of Jesus. But in this scripture Peter is referring to the Christian and to those scattered abroad.
It was written to tell them that we are saved because of Jesus and dead to the things of the world. It was given to show that we were not to be conformed to the world's thinking and doing but to be conformed wholly to God!
Our lives should certainly mirror verse six in that we should live in the spirit as our God does.
No, this is not a dress rehearsal!
We are going through once, living life given to us, not as the world lives but as God desires for us.
We are to live righteous, and holy before Him. As His children, we should be those who ask a lot of questions in prayer. Much like raising our children, and hearing them ask why, we too, should ask, "why Lord"! "How can I serve You Lord?" "Where shall I take my place Lord to serve You and speak to a dying world?"
Why you and me? Why did He choose us to live at this time and receive our salvation?
How could He ever love us so much as to offer us His son, the son of His love for us?
Each day, it is a walk of getting to Know HIM, to understand why we are to be involved and what to expect of His plan through us to a dying world.
As we spend our time with Him, we discover that our spirit man is now in the ascendancy and should have the strength over our flesh-creature or flesh nature. The more we feed our spirit man with the word of God, we find God's goodness toward us and His love expressed in so many ways. Our communication with Him is through His word and prayer. It is looking into His perfect law of liberty and to find the mirror that reflects HIM in and through us always.
It is God's goodness and His love that should be revealed in our daily lives.
We should be examples to others and have the expectancy of looking for our Lord's return! Are we anchored in His truth? Do we know He is for us?  In scripture we find many asking, "is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary,......and are not His sisters here with us?" and they were offended at Him.
 Mark 6:2-6
"Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! 3 Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?" And they were offended at Him. 4 But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house." 5 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.  NKJV
When we spend time in prayer with our Father God who is spirit, standing firm in the Word of God that is spirit and truth, then we gain a firm foothold to stand against an enemy who desires our demise. We can stand as Jesus did and face the enemy gaining victory through the truth that God is for us, He is more than enough, He is the great " I am" in our midst.
As Jesus, we too, can live a supernatural life!
People can see us mirror the very image of our God in His love, stand against the enemy, declare truth and see victory over and over again. People can surely see us being empowered from on High. When we talk differently than the world, act differently than the world, and speak with wisdom of God and laugh at the enemy of sickness and death, through our obedience to come out of the world, live and walk in the spirit like God, we too, can see others come to know Jesus and receive Him as well. They can come to know HIM who came from on High and walked among those who became the disciples and then apostles. We can know freedom in the Word of God that set us free to be who God created us to be. For those who knew you and I before we were saved, may see us as those who saw and thought they knew Jesus," oh yeah, Mary's son.........the carpenter, right?"
But many who have never seen us before and only know us since being saved, will know us as the one who speaks the same as the Father speaks. Others may know us as those who can pray and see the sick made whole. And still others may see us become stronger and bolder to preach and teach the Word of God to a dying world.
This is not a dress rehearsal!
Let's take our place to stand, in face of any enemy, and with defiant boldness speak and declare God's Word that if God be for me, who can be against me? Spend time in prayer with God our Father, look to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith and expect to see the miraculous among those who are serving the world come to the One true God. May they see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ through you and me! May they truly speak the salvation prayer confirming with their mouth their Lord is Jesus Christ!
