We are Watching and We are Praying

Lord You are our Strength, You are our Song

Touch our Lips with coals from Your Altar….
Father, thank You for the paths of mercy and truth to those who keep Your covenant of blood through Jesus Christ. It is YOU Who whispers Your unconditional love deep into our souls and remind us that Your mercies are new every morning.
You are our Strength & Shield; Our heart trusts in you and songs of praise we give. For we know to render that which is for our God Most High, who knows the voice of our supplications when we cry, who gives us courage in our hearts and gives us eyes to see the spiritual.
With hearts set toward You, we look for YOUR return and we look to keeping our prayers before you, not only for our families but this nation as well. We ask for strength in this walk of faith for You give strength to them who are weary and You increase the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary and men stumble and fall; but those who hope in You, Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary. The will walk and not faint.
Lord, You are our Strength and our Song. You have become our Salvation. We praise You tonight with our hearts exalting You in Your unfailing love it is You who lead the people YOU have redeemed. There are famines, earthquakes, fires, floods and violence occurring in our land, and men’s hearts are failing them because of fear. But Jesus spoke of discerning the signs of the times. And with the Help of the Holy Spirit we are watching and praying.
Search us tonight and know our hearts; try us and know our thoughts today. See if there be any wicked way in us and lead us in the way everlasting. Forgive us of judging inappropriately, complaining about leadership in our land and cleanse us Lord. Tough our lips with coals from Your altar that we may pray prayers that avail much for all men and women everywhere.

Father we are thankful for the Holy Spirit of Promise: Thank You Holy Spirit, the giver of LIFE! Thank You for the air we breathe and for that which we see with our eyes, the very beauty of this autumn day! The days are crisp indeed and the nights seem to send a shiver a promise of the coming cold winter into our bones, but we know what You created was good for man to enjoy.

Precious Holy Spirit, we give thanks from the depths of our heart at this time for bringing each of us into Your world. We love being here in this moment of time. We enjoy the truth God has delivered in His kingdom through His Son Jesus. Oh what beauty You have imagined, what sights to behold and yet, just the movement of the breeze through colorful leaves of gold and crimson remind us of You. You come so gently and cause us to turn from distractions to the living God who brought to us so much and yet He gave so much for us to avoid hell and gain a home in heaven with the Father of love in whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. He never changes His mind. We are always on His heart and He relishes to tell us of the things to come because He loves us and because He wants to perfect holiness in us!

Holy Spirit, You are a wonderful gift to us. You are our Companion. YOU mentor us and teach us, You are truly our treasured Friend. Thank YOU for taking time to talk with us, to converse with us and to reveal instructions to us. Forgive us for the times we have not listened, obeyed, and completed Your word. If we have failed to do any instruction, please speak again to us in such a way we cannot doubt it. Help us if we doubt! Please un-clutter our life of distractions so that we may hear Your voice and obey You without question.
Father, we pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, who live around the world and are in trouble at this moment. We repent of anything within our hearts that is not true worship toward You with a true heart so that we may pray accurately for them as You intend us to pray. It is with full hearts  of love and passion for You our Father that we know we will reach out to those in need of prayer this very day. Thank You for the hedge of protection and it is because the fear of the Lord is a fountain of life to us that we depart from the snares of death. May our brothers and sisters in You have peace and long life in those endeavors that they seek Your glory in their life situations that may ultimately bring death to them. May their boldness to speak faith-filled words continue to bring evidence of Your goodness in them and through them in the land of the living.

We ask for intercessors to weep for the destinies of our nation and that of Israel. We ask for intercessors who are called to weep for the nations and to pray out those vital promises for their safekeeping. For there are many hurting people all over this world and many need our prayers right now.
From Revelation 10:8-9 we thank YOU for the sweetness in the mouth ….YOUR word that the Lord has toward nations is a good word. We know YOU speak life over the United States and Israel. We know when the spies came back with their report on the new land of promise, ten prophesied an evil report. It was a judgment that was rendered on the basis of their testimony against a nation. They prophesied the wrong word from a wrong spirit and got a wrong verdict. (Numbers 14:33-34)
But we believe for those of the good report to report that which is true in God, that which is true, noble, just, pure, and lovely. Father thank You for Jesus and for the kingdom He came to give us through Your love and grace.
Father thank You for reaching out to us through the birth of Your Son and then through the man who became Emmanuel with us! He came to participate in this life on earth. Jesus, we give thanks at the remembrance of Your name and Your sacrifice. It was a sacrifice required and the bloodshed revealed grace and mercy meet had met at Calvary. It is in You that we live and move and have our being. For it is by your sacrifice indeed that we experience so greatly the love of God, and we see new mercies revealed to us every morning. As we grow in our faith, may we become so aware of that which has been given so that we might live for God and give glory to His Name. For in this all has been revealed that truly the kingdom of God has come, sins are forgiven, sickness and deformity are healed and for us there is resurrection and eternal life to enjoy with our Lord and Savior forever.

Father, we thank You for Alpha and Omega  the beginning and the ending, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Lord, You are our Strength and our Song. You have become our Salvation. We praise You with our hearts exalting You in Your unfailing love for it is You who lead the people YOU have redeemed.
There are famines, earthquakes, fires, floods & violence occurring in our land, and yes around the world at this time and men’s hearts are failing them because of fear. But Jesus spoke of discerning the signs of the times. And with the Help of the Holy Spirit we are watching & we are praying!

Will Not Worship Green Grass

Voice of Prayer

The value of God’s wisdom is incomparable. Wisdom of God brings enlargement to our lives. We are to see through His eyes & understand. His kingdom is moving & enlarging. As it does, the purposes for our lives will enlarge our capacity.  We are given a greater ability to see through His eyes as we humble ourselves to read & spend time in His presence.

Proverbs 8: 20- 26 NKJV 20 I traverse the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice, 21 That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, that I may fill their treasuries.
22 The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His way, before His works of old. 23 I have been established from everlasting, from the beginning, before there was ever an earth. 24 When there were no depths I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. 25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth; 26 While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields, or the primal dust of the world.

The power of God is the inherent characteristic of God. His nature is inherent power. We can see that in His creation.
Revealed in Jeremiah 10:12-18  Amplified Bible, 12 God made the earth by His power; He established the world by His wisdom and by His understanding & skill stretched out the heavens. 13 When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, & He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings for the rain & brings forth the wind out from His treasuries & from His storehouses. 14 Every man has become like a brute, irrational & stupid, without knowledge [of God]; every goldsmith is brought to shame by his graven idols; for his molten images are frauds and falsehood, & there is no breath in them. 15 They are devoid of worth, usefulness or truth, a work of delusion and mockery; in their time of trial & punishment they shall [helplessly] perish. 16 The Portion of Jacob [the true God on Whom Israel has a claim] is not like these, for He is the Fashioner and Maker of all things, and Israel is the tribe of His inheritance----the Lord of hosts is His name. 17 Gather up your bundle [of baggage] from the ground, O you who dwell under siege. 18 For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this time and will bring distress on them, that they may feel it and find it [to be as I have said, and turn to Me.].

God is real and He has presence. He has a voice that He speaks but do we hear Him speak? Without knowing Him we become like the brute beast. We become irrational and yes stupid. I do not know about you, but I do not want to be stupid in my daily living.
It is God who established the earth. It is He who regulates the times and seasons we read from verse 13 of chapter 10 of Jeremiah the prophet. God is called the Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 45:11-13 NKJV 11 Thus says the LORD, The Holy One of Israel, & his Maker; Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; & concerning the work of My hands, you command Me. 12 I have made the earth, & created man on it. --My hands----stretched out the heavens, & all their host I have commanded. 13 I have raised him up in righteousness, & I will direct all his ways; he shall build My city & let My exiles go free, not for price nor reward, says the Lord of hosts.

From this passage, God is speaking to Cyrus and as God's instrument he was raised in righteousness to do God's will on earth. If you are born again to God, then you have His Spirit living in you to guide you in those daily affairs in life. In our turning to God we are turning to Him in faith and much trust. In relying on His wisdom, we live this life with His wisdom on our minds and in our hearts.

Proverbs 15:7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but the heart of the fool does not do so.
We have to understand that there is a right way and a wrong way to disperse knowledge. When God reveals something to you and I through His word then we are to tell others, and teach them if necessary what the word means in our daily life.
John 8:32 says that the truth sets people free. And the truth is that which is revelation knowledge and it comes from God who is the God of love. He loves us greatly and sent His Son to prove it!

Corruption appears when we make idols!  Exodus 20:4-6    NKJV 4"You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

Keep what God commanded has us as to those boundaries of safety in Him. There is nothing created on earth that can come close to displaying God or our Lord Jesus Christ. These two are unique indeed. They come from beyond this physical realm we know so well. They are the absolute. They are the pure and undefiled. They are eternal. Yet the idol is a something or a someone of any other realm that man can make and can value. But we are to give to God rightfully what belongs to Him and that is worship to our Creator.

You and I must know who God is and know His love for in that is He revealed. We become what we worship. And knowing idolatry is a false thing and without life to it, why worship what cannot speak nor breathe? Acts 17:25 Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though he needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'for we are also His offspring'.

The bloodline is of God and the people, those men and women, are made in His image. Knowing God's true nature is important because we become what we worship. Thus, this commandment from Exodus 20 covers idolatry in a form in which the true God if worshiped through either a false image or a corrupt practice that is the false representation of His true reality. If we idolize that thing, we become the wrong thing. Then we act like what we worship and identify with it in our day to day living.

Ask yourself today if there are any idols in your life. Ask God by His Holy Spirit to direct you into seeing what you might have created as "an idol". For some it could be a hobby or for others it could be that band where you can exhibit your talent with the bass guitar.
What is that which spurs you into tomorrow? Is it God and to know Him and His love for you and yours or is it to make a name for you? This year was the year I got back into exercising and it consists of a lawnmower and a big yard. It was to get back out into the light of day and expend some energy to actually tone up some muscles that needed some real help. When one is ill and taken out of the daily living cycle, one can get depressed, and lose interest in life. That is why God's word is so important so that we can see daily the life He has for us from that living word. Getting back to eating the right foods and drinking plenty of good water, and exercise I have found more energy but I also find I have to watch & make certain that cutting the grass every week is not becoming an idol to me.

Paul wrote this: Romans 1:25....who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, & worshiped & served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
There should be no wrath for the children of God. And why? Because we find this from Paul: 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 NKJV For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, & how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

Will I consider the verse above and remember turning to God is turning to the living and the true? For with all the false narratives and created lies and deceit, I would rather have life in God than in what some news programs can speak out as the pompous and blasphemous horn of hate to many men even though we all have the same blood given to us by the One true God. And the next time I cut the grass in the backyard, I will remember I got to do it because God met me in the early morning hours of March 18, 2015 to keep me alive to enjoy another beautiful day in the sun and give Him praise for His goodness to me in the land of the living.
Will you consider what might overpower you to worship it? For me, I will not worship green grass!

Editing Out What God Purposed- What?

Do  not dismiss God!
We are in no way to edit what God has placed in His Holy Bible! What He placed there is important and He saw to it that men and women moved by the Holy Spirit would do what He asked them to do and those writings, the scribes and designated writers alongside the leaders wrote what God planned and spoke to them. We are not to change what God has given through His inspired word to us.

2 Timothy 3: 10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, love , perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra----what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, & all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.  13 But evil men and imposters will grow worse & worse, deceiving & being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned & been assured of, knowing from whom you have  learned them, 15 & that from childhood, you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God & is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Paul who wrote inspired by the Holy Spirit was a man who was intercepted by Jesus, his doctrine was from Jesus, his faith was in God, and his long-suffering with those who opposed him and God’s divine love to continue preaching no matter the cost…is exactly what he did.

Will that be said of you and me? Have we done or are we really doing the will of God for our lives? Or are we trying to change what God has given thousands of years ago to direct us in this day and this hour?

2 Timothy 4:1-8 NKJV I charge you therefore before God & the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living & the dead at His appearing and His kingdom. 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season & out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap for themselves teachers; 4 & they will turn aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

You and I are to be ready in season and out of season: be ready as the servant of Christ Jesus…fortified in faith… a trust in Him to convince: that is to prove or refute…by the Scriptures and to rebuke what is false! We are to stay in the true of what God has given us!  We are to exhort or encourage sinners to believe & believers or saints to continue their ‘faith walk’
We are to be long-suffering and teaching others.  For verse  3  tells us that there will be those who will turn from the doctrine: people will give a show of their distaste for God’s word in His holy Scriptures. They will willfully turn away from those teachings: they will desire the comfortable and desire to hear the very pleasing “doctrines”.

Yes, Paul wrote that there will be those who were once infused with God's word now choosing to be infused with fables for a wretched reward!  Again: 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God & is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Divine Inspiration is God speaking to us, and it is given to enlighten us, to inspire us and strengthen us. He speaks life into our hearts when we find the darkest days! ………This does not come from human intellect or human inspiration but is God breathed into us each time we choose to read the Holy Bible and each time we choose to mediate on it.

If we spend out time trying to change what God has given us, then we will miss the day and hour that we are to give God's truth to others.  Those obeying His commands will go…will continue to live and they will have lives that reveal fruit of His kingdom that has come.  Those lives reveal that we are one with Him….abiding in His truth, preaching& teaching in the favorable & the unfavorable times which should be like we saw in the life of the apostle Paul!

Proverbs 3:3-8 tells us to not let mercy and truth forsake us. We are to bind them around our neck, and write them on the tablet of our heart, so that we find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man. We are to trust in the Lord with all our heart and to lean not on our own understanding.  ( In all our ways) we are to acknowledge God and it is He who shall direct our paths by His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will be there with those answers to the things that concern us in our life at this moment, with our spouse, our marriage, children or the lack of them,  and yes that job! You and I are not to be wise in our own eyes, but to fear the Lord and depart from evil, for we are told  that when we do, health is there for our flesh and for our bones as well.

If we dismiss God and write out own ideas of life for us, we will end up in a whole world of hurt! Paul never dismissed God from his life once he had turned it completely over to HIM!
When he ministered truth, that message always included the truth that conversion was from darkness to light! And that is seen when we repent and turn to Jesus.

In that conversion we are turned from the power of Satan to God that yes, involves forgiveness from sins, and a life that is lived in sanctification. (Acts 26:18)  Our part is knowing we need a Savior and to receive that ONE who died for us on the cross. It is Christ who suffered and rose from the dead. (Acts 26:23)
You and I have not gone to the cross to die for man-kind, nor would I expect us to do that at any time, but the Son of God was sent and became that precious sacrifice that we might live for God in that which we saw the apostle Paul live out for Him.  Paul did not rewrite or edit anything "out" of what God had already given to them through His word.

And certainly Paul gave us his testimony about when Jesus met him on the Damascus Road. What an event that was indeed!  Did Paul think he needed to be relevant for that day in which he lived? I believe what his life spelled out was, that to be effective in the body of Christ, we must be willing to preach and teach the cross, the blood that was shed for us and that repentance is required because of that great sacrifice!

We must not edit out that which teaches of Christ Jesus in the Old Testament nor remove those verses that speak of that blood shed for us in the New Testament. And yet there out there today biblical translations which have done just that!
Do you remember what Paul spoke from those thousands of years ago for us to read today? "Woe is me if I do not preach the gospel ". This is found in 1 Corinthians 9:16. What about what he said in 1 Corinthians 2:2: "I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
Have we not seen those today who have set their hearts on anything and everything outside of Christ Jesus? Those lusts are the very ones that the apostle Paul spoke about. Those desire tolerances for their evil ways and deeds. You can even hear : "It is not really sin!" Really???
For certain, that apostolic priority is required today when dealing with those who will not repent but only want to continue in their walk that is one that ridicules the very demonstration of the Spirit and the power of God. For the very demonstration of the Spirit and power is for validating the glory of almighty God and not for  any "show or sensationalism".
In being sanctified, that set apart for the Lord, we are declared His complete property. In that we are not guilty of any past record we have done. We are designated as new! So why would you or I want to change what God has given us. Our very source of power for living godly remains in the cross and in the power of the Holy Spirit. The only motive for our godliness continues to be that of love and our goal to magnify our God.
The only way we live life fully is not by hearing just what we want to hear, but to rely fully on the Lord's wisdom. By the Holy Spirit you and I discern that which is the way of God. It is agreeing with God, acknowledging that we were sinners saved by grace and now cleansed as the chaste bride of Christ. In this: you and I are signs and wonders to the glorious grace through the Gospel that demonstrates the power of God.
May we as Paul the apostle, have the confidence in the Lord, that He is our sufficiency and by the Holy Spirit we are empowered for life and ministry in the reality of the new covenant. Let us not drift away from this which has been provided to us that is rich with His love, health, and joy that we might give to others that very thing that has truly set the captives free! Amen.
