Depressive or the Merry Heart Mode

Proverbs 9:11 For by me your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you.

Seems simple, right? By paying attention to the instruction of God's wisdom our days are multiplied and years are added to us. The wisdom of God is worthwhile to living longer on planet earth!
Had opportunity for some years to work at a gym. People worked out there during the day and evening hours, and some appeared to benefit from that daily workout from machines to weights.
Still I remember reading of this article of those living longer lives in Japan. In their search for that "one thing" they the ones who wanted to have long life focused on the Japanese people having access to much omega -3 oils. And much was written about the omega-3's and much was given on how to gain them from the natural sources.
But in truth if one really looks to the whole package of the Japanese person, they are those who care and give honor to their parents. Was reading an article recently how the Japanese family will build another home on their property to have a home for their aging parents. Now that is love, and care in action of family members for their parents.
Eating properly is important for each of us. You spend too much time eating cake you will look like that slice of cake at the end of a year. You love eating fresh vegetables, then you your face will give a glow of health that your organs are getting that much needed nutrition for life.
Exercise again is good and to the extreme can like jogging, bring wear and tear to your knees. Moderation is a good thing in anything we do. But we must also pay attention to the spiritual or the moral things that pertain to us as well.
Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good like a medicine; but a broken spirit dries the bones. Our heart plays a big role in our life expectancy. Next time pay attention to that "older person" walking passed you on the sidewalk or in a store. Their body posture will give a "loud voice"  if they are in a depressive state or merry heart mode!
Food can help or harm depending on what kind it is and what amount of it one will take in of that kind. You certainly would not want to eat ice cream everyday, yet there are those who will drink that exotic coffee everyday to their enjoyment and to future heartache. I know from experience and give details on why not to do that even though  I love coffee and I love the "double shot" black and white mocha , please!
Yet it was not good for me after awhile. I could tell my "nerves " were being affected.
I still drink in moderation a black coffee please, but on occasion I will have the exotic coffee. Our son-in-law makes a really good mocha if you happen along his pathway.

God's wisdom will direct us into a peaceful state. And if you notice His wisdom will direct us into the right jobs for us, the right people to rally around in speaking His word of truth and will guides us into super health when following what He has written for us to adhere to for life.
I remember my husband would run in the evening to not only exercise but also to leave a load of tension from work on the roadway while he whittled miles and some weight from his body. Still, that running has some affects on the knees and ankle joints of your body. And while he looked really trim, he was having other issues.
We can have strong opinions of not eating something and be very rigid about it but be very lax in things like strife, having some form of fear, depression or even criticizing others. For me I love to run and did it for some time, but I always had our daughter to go along with me. She was in school and would ride her bike along while I ran. It was something to do to exercise for  a bit and have time with our daughter. Although she would ride along for the first mile, after that she would go several blocks and come back to where I was pounding the asphalt.

I love the Proverb 10:22 wisdom. The blessing of the LORD, it makes rich and he adds no sorrow with it.
The blessing of the LORD is the spoken favor of the LORD God. When we cooperate with God and His wisdom first each day, then His word will make us rich: that is in every way financially, emotionally, socially and every other way. If we have any kind of sorrow with what has come to us then it was not from God. For that which is of God and from God will not bring sorrow.
Just ask any movie star, any rock star, or athlete when it is not of God! Some movie stars died early by use of drugs and alcohol. Some athletes and singers go by way of the world's standard and gain big SORROW! Some have lost their lives, they sought after careers to be in the list of the hopefuls who failed.
God directs us into truth. He leads us in the way we are to go. Proverbs 4:14-15 tells us to enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it and pass away.
Binding ourselves to His truth will mean we shut off the T. V. set to hear the quiet and hear the Lord speak in His voice of power and peace to us.
We must flee from what the world exhibits as the fun thing, the next great thing, or we are to be found as His children, the followers who will flee those lusts of the body. When we allow Him to direct us, then we come to the place that truly is a garden prepared for us to live. It is days multiplied to us for us to live in health, abiding in His words that strengthen us to look forward to tomorrow and praise Him that He is forever with us. We see that His blessings to us is bringing us favor and not sorrow. May we heed His voice and cleave to His beating heart of life and presents a life that only God can give to each of us! Amen!
