That Tower of Strength

Proverbs 18: 10 The character of God is a tower of strength, for the lovers of God delight to run into his heart and be exalted on high.

Here the Hebrew word Migdal is tower of strength, having a homonym that can be translated "bed of flowers".

Thinking of those men who in times past went to war. They were those who fought against Germans, those of Japan and Korea too. I know some of those stories for most of my family had gone when other nations decided to attack. I have seen many story lines providing those times of men against men. I have been in awe that of which comes upon men to stay and fight. Like Hacksaw Ridge, one man among how many who would want to take "one more down that rocky ridge? Under gunfire, not only of Japanese but also from the ships of American down below, still he kept going:"one more".

"Lord, do I have one more encouragement to write?"  Lord help me write Your heart on pages people will be able come out of shadows and see Your light to move forward to reach others hearts for Your glory!"  Lord I know this is my "assignment " on earth!"

Righteousness is central characteristic: is from the kingdom of God, Romans 14:17  for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit……….& then  Psalm 89:13-15     NKJV  13 You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand and high is Your right hand 14 Righteous and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face. 15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!

Acts 24:25 & Matt.6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and  His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.

The “fruit” of righteousness is continually being borne through the moment by moment commitment to Jesus and the Word…all that concerns Jesus & the Good News…as in Matthew 5:20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Romans 7:4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another----to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.  We do not obey in our strength! See also: John 15:1-17; 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1; 1 Peter 1:13-16; 1 John 1:9

If we remember Proverbs 14:12 reveals this: there is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. Anything outside of God’s way is reaping death. It can appear as mass murders, suicides and all kinds of life-taking, life-ending destructive paths.

We are told in 1 Corinthians 2:6 we are to speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this who are coming to nothing….no, anything outside of God and His ways and truths is a casualty looking for a place to happen!

The Righteousness of God is the basis of His judgment upon the “unrighteous” as found in Romans 2:5 NKJV But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.

“Unrighteousness” of God stands eternally….And opposed to the  unrighteousness of man…see in Romans 1:32  who knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approved of those who practice them.

Comparing  with John 3:36  He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, not idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals nor sodomites.

Galatians 5:19-21    NKJV Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12; 2 Peter 2:9     The Greek: adikos: unrighteous, is unjust, dishonest, untrustworthy, ……see Romans 1:18; Romans 2:5;Romans 2:8; Romans 3:5; Romans 6:13; Romans 9:14

We can see today those who are unrighteous, dishonest, untrustworthy, and unjust. Was watching the end of a ladies basketball game. And the end only proved dishonest, the unjust done to another while playing. The last two minutes one decided to take the opportunity to hold the one with basketball. Fearing she would make the goal in the hoop. Only taking two more obvious "holding " onto lady with ball....stopped the ball. The other team said they won. Buzzer sounds, but in the last two minutes no one called holding against the other team. So readily seen and yet not one called "holding". I will no longer watch basketball. I stopped watching football decades ago. Again, cheating was seen on the field.

If one has to cheat in sports what do they do at home? What do they do towards the "family"? Will you care for a pet safely? Will you watch out for the safety of your children?  Will you see your children taught math, science, reading, so that they can do those subjects readily on graduation day?

In the true story of Pfc. Desmond T. Doss, he won the Congressional Medal of Honor despite refusing to bear arms during WWII on religious grounds. He was harassed because of his beliefs. But when the battle was before them, his bravery, selflessness and compassion shined through. He always spoke to the Lord that night asking the Lord if he might get one more down that ridge!

Will we be seen as the righteousness of God? Will we earn the respect of caring for the neighbor. Not by throwing money at him, but delivering him down to safety when danger appears!

Doss was allowed to read the word on that Saturday. Then all the men went up together to face the Japanese. Find that fellow believer.  Stand firm in faith and believe the Lord is with you. I know the Lord is with me and mine. I know for I have seen His glory in this house. I have the power of the tower of strength. It is a beautiful place of floral scents and peace. It is awesome to be up again, to walk and see the hand of God. Be blessed fellow believers, unjust people are close by, people firing real bullets, not blanks, people choosing to leave God out of America, out of their lives and live in selfishness.  Be set free in Jesus. Live for Him and see His glory now and forever. Amen

"For all those who have served to keep America free from tyranny.....Thank YOU!"

Justifying the Path of Error

Proverbs 14: 5 An honest witness will never lie, but a deceitful witness lies with every breath. 6 The intellectually arrogant seek for wisdom, bu they never seem to discover what they claim they are looking for. For revelation-knowledge flows to the one who hungers for understanding. 7 The words of the wise are like weapons of knowledge. If you need wise counsel stay away from the fool. For the wisdom of the wise will keep life on the right track, while the fool only deceives himself and refuses to face reality. 9 Fools mock the need for repentance while the favor of God rests upon all his lovers. 10 Don't expect anyone else to full understand both the bitterness and the joys of all you experience  in your life. 11 The household of the wicked is soon torn apart, while the family of the righteous flourishes. 12 You can rationalize it all you want and justify the path of error you have chosen, but you will find out in the end that you took the road to destruction. The Passion Translation

When Cain slew Abel, he saw his way as the right path. Yet we are told only one was working righteously and the other was not.

Genesis 4: 6-8 NKJV So the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?  7 “if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.  8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother, and it came to pass, when they were in the filed, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him."

Sin lies at the door: the language personifies that sin is a demon crouching! In the New Spirit Filled Life Bible it regards it or gives the description of a "crazed animal" at Cain's doorstep. Cain was out for revenge but had made no point of repentance. For the rest of his life ( which probably lasted several hundred years ) Cain would have to wander about as a marked man and he cried out to the Lord that his punishment ( not his guilt ) was more that the could bear. (Genesis 4:9-13) a huge difference between sin-sorrow and guilt-sorrow.

Cain in this manner had no Sin-sorrow in his heart attitude for in that sin-sorrow will produce reformation, an eagerness to provide restitution, as necessary, and a determination to glorify God in every aspect of life.   Cain did not have a change of heart resulting in complete agreement with God over this serious matter.

Genesis 4:9 Then the LORD said  to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" He said, "I do not know, "Am I my brother's keeper?" 10 And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground. 11 So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. 12 When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.' 13 And Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is greater than I can bear!" 14 Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face, I shall be a fugitive and vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.

From history we are told Cain's relative Lamech was even more depraved than him. He killed a young man for merely hurting him. ( Genesis 4:23-24) Cain chose to plant seeds, but Abel raised the sheep. Abel had the sacrifice that God required and Cain did not. Heard recently of a teaching about where Abel was killed. It was a sacrifice to the gods Cain worshiped. And it was an opening in the ground Jesus addressed when He came to earth. He went to the grottoes where other gods had been worshiped, like Pan. I am still working on this teaching indeed and learning all scriptures from Old Testament.

But one thing is certain God requires our attention to what He desires in worship. And if our neighbor is bothering us....maybe we should pay attention to the right path of which God provides.

Proverbs 13: 19 When God fulfills your longings, sweetness fills your soul. But the wicked refuse to turn from darkness to see their desires come to pass!  20 If you want to grow in wisdom, spend time with the wise. Walk with the wicked and you will eventually become just like them. 21 Calamity chases the sin-chaser, but prosperity pursues the God-lover.

Is that not going on today where you live? Are not those looking for wicked ways aligning with calamity where sin-chasers work? But prosperity will be seen in righteous home. Amen!

Dangers of Tolerating What God Hates

What do we tolerate in our lives? What do we embrace that is equal to sin? Well just let them do what they want, I do not want any strife here! But tolerating sin is you embracing that sin. It is choosing to go the wrong way, to tolerate them because of their choosing to manipulate others by that chosen sin. Holy Spirit will have nothing to do with sin. You try to manipulate others, you choose to exalt you by that thing, then you are in bondage. They blame others for their life problems. They find others who have that "victim" attitude! When they find their peeps in that victim attitude, they soar more into bondage and bitterness. Hate fills their lips for their heart is darkened by bitterness. And anyone who does not talk like them, sound like them, dress like them is regarded as the "other side".

In reading today, I was in Proverbs 5 and 6. In Proverbs 6 and staring in verse 12 of the Passion Translation: Here's another life lesson to learn from observing wayward and wicked men. You can tell they are lawless. They're constant liars, proud deceivers, full of clever ploys and convincing plots. Their twisted thoughts are perverse, and they are always scheming to stir up trouble, and sowing strife with every step they take. But when calamity comes knocking on their door, suddenly and without warning they're undone---- broken to bits, shattered, with no hope of healing.

Worshiping other gods brings one to destruction.

Acts 8:14-25 NKJV 14 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, 15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. 18 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostle's hands the Holy Spirit is given, he offered them money, 19 saying, "Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit." But Peter said to him, "Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!" 21 "You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God."  22 "Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you." 23 "For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity." 24 Then Simon answered and said, "Pray to the Lord for me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me."25 So when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

This man Simon is known as the the "father of heresies. In the gospel he was noted as a follower of Satan. One who does magic to manipulate, to reveal things not seen but shown indeed.

Since we have a God Who brought us into existence, He should have authority over how we should live our life.  There are a pantheons of gods, but only God lives the way a God ought to live.  From Him comes His holiness and much love. It is Who He is and always represents. In this hour are we set on a human self-concern or as God sees it.?  Are showing the clear evidence of godly life and living or are we showing the evidence in opposition to Him?

If we live in spiritual adultery, will He be seen in our lives? If we choose to tolerate all the alphabets listed in the 21st century, we have a space between us and Him. We are to reach those who are choosing sin, listed as an letter of the alphabet, maybe blue hair, and using pronouns. Because we know it, we should act on it like Peter and John. We should be willing to cross the street and tell them about Jesus and Holy Spirit. If not, then what is next?

Let us not tolerate what God hates! Bitterness will only shape your passion to control others.  The residue to his very past bondage caused him to seek out the Holy Spirit by money. YOU can see that today in people demanding money. They want free stuff! BUT God provides. He knows what you need. He knows that disease or disaster. He is not surprised. Why not ask Him what you do not see!

Ask Him what you might be blind to in your walk today and see what He will show you in this hour! He is for you and not against you. Don't be a Simon the sorcerer!

Salvation: Walk of the Spirit

Jesus spoke of the spiritual life. Found in John 18:36 "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight; so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.

Ruled by their senses, they, the Pharisees, Sadducees and scribes  spoke and did their hearts desire. They crucified the Lord of glory. They were of this world. And it is Satan's spirit that permeates this world, and it works in those who disobey, as Paul writes in Ephesians 2:1-3.

Ephesians 2:1-3 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Such was our condition before God regenerated us and endued us with His Spirit. However, the indwelling of God does not mean that our former selves have been banished. Thus, the epistles urge us to put off the works of the flesh, the hidden things of darkness, and the old man. Corruption will remain until the day of our resurrection or change when we finally put on in-corruption. Until then, we wrestle with the law of sin and death at work in our members, struggling to keep our old man bound in chains.

But when we let down, we release our old man for a little while. Like Satan, he goes to war against God and man just as soon as his chains slacken. What remains of Satan's image in us is ever-ready to spring forth and risk all the spiritual abundance we have received.

It is a walk in the word of God. Power is in God and not Satan.

Philippians 2:12-15  NKJV  12  Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. 14  Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15  that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

These four verses admonish us on what God expects of us as the child in our relationship with Him. It is important for us to understand that "work out your salvation" does not mean work for salvation. It means we must take what God has given us to its logical conclusion. God liberated Israel from Egyptian slavery, but His purpose was not complete until they trekked across the wilderness and possessed the Promised Land. Their liberty came as an act of God's grace, but that same grace required them to meet responsibilities and carry them to their conclusion.

Verse 13 explains that God's grace did not end at the borders of Egypt for them, nor does it end for us once we are justified. He gives us both the motivation and the power to accomplish what His pleasure is for us. But we should understand that He gives us the desire and power to accomplish His will, not our pleasures. This is an excellent principle for parents to apply in motivating their children to respond positively. Children are largely the creations of their parents. If parents expect their children to reach certain goals, they must equip them with the attitudes, skills, and tools necessary to accomplish those aims. ( It is what God has placed in each of them as children, and not of you the adult!)

"Fear and trembling" indicates both a deep respect for the Almighty who has called us, as well as a healthy measure of concern for uncertainties about what will be required of us as we proceed along this way. As we spiritually mature, the trials we must work through generally become more difficult, not easier. When the Philippians took up their cross, they did not know for sure what lay ahead, nor do we. For them, it was conflict (Philippians 1:29-30); for Jesus, death (Philippians 2:8); for Paul, martyrdom (Philippians 2:17); for Timothy, costly sacrificial service to the church (Philippians 2:20); and for Epaphroditus, physical illness nearly to death (Philippians 2:27).

Of course, these things are far more serious than a child's responsibility to put his room in order, but we must consider if God is fair in His dealings with man. Is a parent fair in charging his children with responsibilities to carry out around the house? Being part of a family will always mean to participate with those parents in charge. And is God in charge of our lives when we become the born again? Lifted out of death to live with Jesus in our hearts, do we lean into His words to continue to live and walk daily in His truth?

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. 15 Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

Acts 28:28 "Therefore let it be known to you that  the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles and they will hear it!"

This always catches my attention! This is God speaking because he ( or she) has set his (her) love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him (her).

Psalm 91:14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.15 he shall call upon Me, and I will answer Him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.16 with long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.

Dialogue is present when Love Protects! Seeking His counsel, spending times of refreshing with Him; and by loving Him and walking closely with Him through every day, we enter into a sheltered place of promise not only regarding our health but the love that protects. This is salvation, a walk of regarding God, and resting in that refreshing time with Him.

John 14:24-27 Amplified Bible 24 Anyone who does not [really ] love Me does not observe and obey My teaching. And the teaching which you hear and heed is not Mine, but [comes] from the Father Who sent Me. 25 I have told you these things while I am still with you. 26 But the Comforter  (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And he will cause you to recall ( will remind you of, bring to your remembrance ) everything I have told you. 27 Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled].

Jesus had dialog with the Father: 24 Anyone who does not [really ] love Me does not observe and obey My teaching. And the teaching which you hear and heed is not Mine, but [comes] from the Father Who sent Me. 25 I have told you these things while I am still with you.

1.   The person fearful, intimated, cowardly and unsettled will walk with hands outward, not to worship God but to complain in their muddied water…muddied condition…a muddied environment!

2.   Holy Spirit gives clear counsel, gives us ability to remember everything Jesus spoke when we know what He has spoken

3.   Jesus said: “do not permit” yourselves to be the agitated, disturbed, fearful, intimidated, cowardly and unsettled; Peter was warned: love others as I have loved you; Being a disciple of Jesus we are to love other disciples of Jesus, We are to love our neighbors as ourselves!

From verse 27 “Peace I leave with you”: Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.   Christ’s peace is to control our thoughts and emotions. AND to Be the thankful! Philippians 4:7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1.   Phi. 4:9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.  We are to focus our thoughts on that which is pure, lovely, virtuous and praiseworthy.

2. "The Psalms will certainly speak to your heart when dealing with any sickness or disease. I rely on it daily! Psalm 27: 1 The Lord is my light and salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Maintaining God’s peace by focusing with interest & ambition heavenward to cultivate His values: Colossians 3:1-16 NKJV  If then you were raised with Christ seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, & your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. 5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth, fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire,& covetousness, which is idolatry. 6Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

1.   So Paul lists those things we once lived in as to: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, covetousness which is idolatry

2.   These come under the wrath of God and pertain to disobedience...........  Why stop these? Because the wrath of God is coming upon those who participate and practice that disobedience.

3.  Idolatry is the activity of the “human heart” :It starts in the heart, craving, wanting, enjoying, being satisfied by anything that you treasure more than God. This covetousness, a disordered love or desire, loving more than God what ought to be loved less than God and only for the sake of God.

4.   Jesus warned Peter! Peter was to make note to “love one another; as I (Jesus) have loved you, that you also love one another. It is a heart ordered right in God and in His image!

Colossians 3:8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.

1.   Living under that old man lifestyle : we are to put off anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language

2.   We are to speak no evil

Colossians 3:9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10  &  have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all & in all. 12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy & beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, & forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

1.   The new man does not lie: but only gives what is that renewed knowledge of God and according to the image of God;New man is merciful, kind, humble, meek, longsuffering and always forgiving

Colossians 3: 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.  16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Bond of perfection is God’s love: Put it on! With the Holy Spirit, hardness will turn soft, will turn from “me, myself and I” to God’s purpose on earth! AGAIN  From Colossians 3:1 we are to seek that which is from above, the heavenly, not the worldly. We must discipline ourselves. We know that we are to "put off" those things that do not reflect the image of God and to "put on" the characteristics that do.

It is easy to see those who walk in lawlessness. We pray for our leaders and we vote for righteous leaders.. And we will become those daily who reflect the glory of God.

Thank you for reading the last blog on my healing. It was a total God thing. Healed on Good Friday....I am able to walk again. I am not fast as of yet, but it is coming. Glory to God, He reigns!
