White Horse and Rider: Revelation 6..politics and vaccines |
Psalm 91 NKJV He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Almighty: El Shadday
1. Seen
in Genesis 17:1 ( Abram called out); Exodus 6:3
2. Meaning
the unconquerable; God’s greatness in strength or His everlasting nature
Psalm 91:2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my
fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and
under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and
buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow
that flies by day, 6 nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the
destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your
right hand; but it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you
look, and see the reward of the wicked”
9 “ Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even
the Most High your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, nor shall any
plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over
you, to keep you in all your ways.
12 “In their hands
they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot
against a stone, 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the
young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.”
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, there will I
deliver him. I will set him on high because he has known My name. 15 He shall
call upon Me and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With
long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”
In
the Place of Trust: Confiding in God Who is to be our Refuge
1. Dwelling
place
2. Dwelling
together: as in marriage: that is we are counseled by Him, spend time hearing
Him speak His words to us as we read it; loving that we have a place to go when
the storm clouds gather, when things do not go as we thought they would and
when health is not strong!
3. In
His mercy we have a continual flow of healing for our minds, our will, our
emotions and our bodies.
4. Pestilence
from attacks like plagues (Zika virus or coronavirus) ; Ebola virus in Africa
5. Angels can strike a person: Acts 12:23 for Herod did not give glory to God; angel stood by Peter in prison …struck him on the side or awaken him
Reminded that God takes no pleasure in wickedness:
Psalm 5:3-7 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning I will direct it to You. 4 For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, nor shall evil dwell with YOU. 5 The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. 6 You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; the LORD abhors the blood thirsty and deceitful man. 7 but as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; in fear of You will worship toward Your holy temple.
1. Worship
toward His holiness: His righteousness
2. Haggai 2:15-19 NKJV ‘And now carefully consider from this day forward; from before stone was laid upon stone in the temple of the LORD----16 ‘since those days, when one came to a heap of twenty ephahs, there were but ten; when one came to the wine vat to draw out fifty baths from the press, there were but twenty. 18 consider now from this day of the ninth month, from the day that the foundation of the LORD’S temple was laid----consider it: 19 ‘Is the seed still in the barn?’ As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not yielded fruit.
But from this day I will bless you.’” ….walking in righteousness toward God
3. God’s
unmerited favor toward us …we have sanctuary
4. In
this work God has called us to is this: that it is to be the priority that it
is seeing the foundation laid in everyday living; and within that the Lord’s
blessings begin to flow in and through our lives.
Jesus gave His angels charge over us: Psalms 91:9-16
1. Nothing
shall hurt the believer: though trouble &
affliction come .shall not come to harm him
2.
Rightly knowing God: we will set our love
Him and not on things
3. They
will pray constantly with fervency reminding Him of their walk with Him
4. The
Promises of God will flow from the believer’s heart: Luke 4:3-4 NKJV 3 & the devil said to Him, “if You are
the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” 4 But Jesus answered him,
saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word
of God.’”
5. We
are to continually look up: not to the situation or the bad report, but look up
and see who walked out of the tomb….the tomb of defeat to victory and gave us a
new life in HIM!
6. We
speak God’s word & the angels carry out what the spoken word is meant to do! Psalm 103:20 bless the
LORD, all you His hosts, You ministers of His who do His pleasure.
7.
Angels serve to bless (worship & serve God), to do His word on Earth, heed His voice, minister as prescribed
in Hebrews 1:14 and they willing do God’s pleasure.
8. Heb. 1:14 Are they not
all ministering spirits sent forth
to minister for those who will inherit salvation? Angels revolve around the ministry of the church Jesus established.
They advance His ministry on earth as it is in heaven.
Psalm
91:12: 12 “In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone, 13 You shall tread upon the
lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample
underfoot.”
1. Luke 4:9-12
NKJV 9 Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple
and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here.”
10”For it is written: He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you,’
11” and, in their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against
a stone.” 12 And Jesus answered and said to him, “it is has been said, ‘You
shall not tempt the LORD your God.’
2. Deuteronomy 6:16-20,23, 25 NKJV
16 You shall not tempt the LORD your God as you tempted Him in Massah. 17 “You
shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, His testimonies
and His statutes which He has commanded you, 18 And you shall do what is right
and good in the sight of the LORD, that it may be well with you, and you may go
in to possess the good land of which the LORD swore to your fathers, 19 to cast
out all your enemies from before you, as the LORD has spoken. 20 “When your son
asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is the meaning of the testimonies, the
statutes, and the judgments of which the LORD our God has commanded you?”
3. 23 then He
brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land of
which He sword to our fathers. 25 then it will be righteousness for us , if we are careful to
observe all these commandments before the LORD our God, as He has commanded us.
Psalm
78:40-53 NKJV 40 How often they provoked Him in
the wilderness, and grieved Him in the desert! 41 Yes, again and again they
tempted God, and limited the
Holy One of Israel.
1. Tempted
:trying to test God; checking to see how God will respond; But we are reminded by
David who asked God to test David’s own heart.
2. It
is not right for man to test God; doing that is limiting God and His power in
our lives
3. People today in prayer will tell God how to answer their prayer. They are set to give details to Him in how to respond to their dilemma!
42 Yes, again & again they tempted God, & limited the
Holy One of Israel. 42 They did not remember His power; the day when He redeemed them from the enemy, 43 when He worked His signs in Egypt, & His wonders in
the field of Zoan; 44 Turned their rivers into blood, & their streams, that
they could not drink. 45 He sent swarms of flies among them, which devoured
them, & frogs which destroyed them. 46 He also gave their crops to the
caterpillar, & their labor to the locust. 47 He destroyed their vines with
hail, & their sycamore trees with frost. 48 He also gave up their cattle to
the hail, & their flocks to fiery lightning. 49 He cast on them the
fierceness of His anger, wrath, indignation & trouble, By sending angels of destruct among them. 50 He made a path
for His anger; He did not spare their soul from death, but gave their life over
to the plague, 51 & destroyed all the firstborn in Egypt, the first of
their strength in the tents of Ham, 52 But HE made His own people go forth like
sheep, & guided them in the wilderness like a flock; 53 & He led them
safely so that they did not fear; but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
1.
Remembering
when God redeemed us; the day we repented and received salvation
2.
We
are not overwhelmed by enemies and not certainly not to a "cult" in vaccines! The apostles to the mandates of a cult always teach to follow their whim into that existence. But Jesus brought us peace in Him and not in some drug!
Jesus
Spoke this: Matthew 26:53-56
KJV 53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall
presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then shall the
scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? 55 In that same hour said Jesus to the
multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to
take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on
me.
56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the
prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
Yes, the disciples broke and run when the enemy appeared in the Garden! They came to take Jesus away. And that is how the enemy works today, he comes into your quiet home and speaks thoughts that he believes we will take and run! Remember those flaming arrows: we can stop them with God's word!
Luke
24:18-29 KJV 18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas,
answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not
known the things which are come to pass there in these days? 19 And he said unto them, What things? And
they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in
deed and word before God and all the people: 20 And how the chief priests and our rulers
delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him. 21 But we trusted that it had been he which
should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, today is the third day since
these things were done.
22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us
astonished, which were early at the sepulchre; 23 And when they found not his
body, they came, saying, that they had
also seen a vision of angels, which said that he
was alive. 24 And certain of them
which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had
said: but him they saw not. 25 Then he
said unto them, O fools, & slow of heart to believe all that the prophets
have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, & to enter
into his glory? 27 & beginning at
Moses & all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things
concerning himself. 28 & they drew nigh unto the village, whither they
went: & he made as though he would have gone further. 29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide
with us: for it is toward evening, & the day is far spent & he went in
to tarry with them.
1. The
righteous can see angels and can hear them
2. These
people had thought for Jesus whom they loved & sought to know where He was
at
Angels
Minister to Those Who Speak God’s Word: Matthew
4:1 1 then the devil left Him and behold, angels came and ministered to
Him. (also seen in Luke 4)
1. Angels:
angelos: (ang-e-loss) spiritual heavenly attendants ..see Psalm 104:4, Luke
1:19
2. Functioning
as ministers of the Lord sent to Earth
3. They execute His purposes and make them known to men. Daniel 10:12 Gabriel appeared to Daniel “ I have come because of your words”
What words do we speak? Are they the words Jesus spoke to His disciples? Do we keep a watchfulness over what comes out of our mouths?
In our call to the kingdom that is come, we repent, and believe with a trust in God that He will fulfill His promises. Jesus came to save the “lost” and that was us, but we now must reach others understanding that by prayer and speaking God’s truth that angels are hearing and will go with that word of God and God will see it accomplished to where it is sent. Amen!
More important words are given in Revelation: Revelation 3:12 NKJV 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
Anyone want to stand as a pillar within your home, within your community in the land of which you live and abide?
Revelation 3:21 NKJV 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
These are to warn and yes remind that which is important to Christ, that at the end, pressures will mount. What was a mild year some five years ago is now mounting to the more intense, turn up the heat, forces are raging and not all of it is for good but for evil. Today, we can clearly see that Satan is lining up all of his forces, all of his armies, all of his weaponry yes, to persecute those in Christ Jesus. And this persecution will be to such an extent that the whole earth will be thrown into convulsions, the likes of which this world has never seen!
Even today, we remark we have never seen anything like it! Where are the voices who stand with Christ Jesus in this hour?
Christ, our Shepherd and like any good leader who sees what is coming, will
take steps to prepare His people. He will focus their attention on what is most
important to survive and grow during that period. This is why He talks about
what He does to the churches in the messages in Revelation 2 and 3.
Words spoken, given to prompt the hearer to do! Revelation 2:10 is to not fear. "Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death."
Revelation 2:5 "repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lamp-stand from its place-----unless you repent.
There are two fires, or two lights, that which is of the Lord and that which should be in us. But if we have lost our first love, then we should repent of losing that love for Him.
Revelation 2:16 "Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. Yes, the sword of His mouth, His WORDS . Christ's words judge!!!
Revelation 2:25 BUT hold fast what you have till I come. 26 And he who overcomes and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations-----
The over-comer will share in Christ's triumph over evil and evildoers. Jesus will begin His messianic rule and we can be seated with Him!
Revelation 3:2 to be watchful and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.
Revelation 3:3 ...hold fast and repent. therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
Again those from Revelation 3:12 and 3:21!
Revelation 3:12 NKJV 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
Revelation 3:21 NKJV 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
These are to warn and yes remind that which is important to Christ as He watches over us!
Titus 1:16 says, "They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified." Titus 2:1 But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: 2 that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; 3 the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things----
( never understand how those who divide the thought within the Bible, but verse 16 goes with Titus 2:1)
Where is the heart is in what they "profess"? But Christ knows what we are doing. I know your works. Does the heart profess loyalty to Christ? Are they proving to be the conscientious and faithful?
Many believe that we
do not have to qualify for the Kingdom of God. It is true that works cannot
justify us; they cannot wipe out our sins. However, it does not follow that,
because they cannot save us, they are of no importance. Recall that James uses
Abraham, the father of the faithful—the father of the loyal, the
conscientious—as the illustration that faith without works is dead! Living
faith works! Jesus says, "I know your works"!
Of all that is written, specifically in the New Testament, Revelation 2 and 3 are the examination of our works. And in that examination, is it revealing a love for Christ in our words, in that which appears as unto the Lord in what we are doing. Colossians 3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.
It should sound like those words Christ spoke about His believers: that we are salt and light, that we hear Him, and know that the Holy Spirit is with us to guide us and tell us things to come. For certainly Matthew 5:21-30 reveals that murder begins in the heart as does adultery. As marriage is sacred and binding to a couple being wed together as husband and wife, no other should enter into this relationship other than the Lord himself. And in marriage, one should be going that extra mile when one spouse is sickened or close to death. If a spouse has compelled his wife to work, then no one is to come between what the husband speaks. Within all this, we are to love our enemies and pray for them. Still those we pray for seem to be failing greatly, but God is forever God and He is faithful! We walk, we pray, and we continue to place our hope in His word and His strength and not in angels. We speak words of faith and believe them to come to pass. We keep going because Jesus is life to us!
Revelation 2 and 3 are an examination of our works because
Christ wants to see whether we believe Him! Living faith exhibits itself in
works! It is a test of our faith. If we are faithful, we will be working:
overcoming Satan, the world, and our self-centeredness. That is what works
accomplish.
Words propel you either toward life or to death! There are great lights: the sun, the moon, the stars, but there is the light of Christ and in us, we should be blazing a trail of His words so others will know about Him, and want to hear what He has spoken. It is a choice for right words and in those right words we are directed into the light of Christ and glory of the Father. Words of truth will always light up the world to see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ! May we participate speaking words that reveal where our heart resides to His praise and to His glory! Amen!
