Respect or Manipulation

Respect or Manipulation....Kind or Nice...The KIND is speaking Truth and is living it out: Lies change constantly. The liar changes his speaking one never knows if they are really good or just really bad.

People want to be respected. They want others to be nice to them. And always speak lies to them.

In thinking of commercials we have seen, men have put on television the last few years.....they desire you to know that any immigrant is like Jesus. Any person coming in to use drugs are like Jesus for Jesus gets us. I say not so!

Jesus was sent by the Father. Jesus told others that He and the Father were One.

The Word of God teaches that the heart or mind is the dominating center of our being. Consider a circumstance that each of us faces, perhaps many times on any given day. If a person has before him two options, which will he choose? Unless some overriding reason exists, he will choose the one most agreeable to him, that is, to his heart, his innermost being. In this is the niceness! What you are agreeable to and walk that pathway.

IN nice: it is you who make me look good , while I make you look badly!

In nice: Jesus was like us. No! Jesus came of the will of the Father. Jesus noted His wisdom and walked in that truth.  He worked the works of the Father. ( John 10:37-39) John 10:3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by the name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him. for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flees from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.

IN kind: Jesus spoke to Judas:Matthew 26: 23 NKJV "He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me. 24 The Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."

Jeremiah 17:9 says, his heart is desperately wicked. Jesus reinforces this in Matthew 15:19-20: "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornication's, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man. . . ."

Judas had a wicked heart. He wanted money. He desire it more than life!

If one were to present a truly converted person with the same options, he would choose the life of godliness and wisdom. Why? Because God has given him a new heart:

For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. (Ezekiel

Judas did not sin in a vacuum. This nice man sinned against God!  What he did also affected the others as well. It scared Peter! When the military came for Jesus, Peter tried to wield a sword showing his power. But Jesus corrected in the truth of God.

Without faith, we will not please the Father! Faith holds kind in the heart!

Faith is a catalyst: Jesus works where faith is present (Luke 5:20).Luke 5:17-26 Now it happened on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. 18 Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. 19 and when they could not find how they might bring him, in because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed though the tiling into the midst  before Jesus. 20 When He saw their faith,  He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” 21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, “Why are reasoning in your hearts? 23 Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’? 24 “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”---- He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 25 Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. 26 And they were all amazed and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today?”

1.   Faith is determined: Four men arrive late, carrying a paralyzed man on his bed & realizing that they cannot possibly get him through the door, they carry their helpless paralytic friend upstairs to the roof to lower him on the bed in front of Jesus as He is speaking.

2.   They display their faith that he would be healed.

3.   Faith is not deterred by the problem of the crowds for faith has eyes to see through situation and to the possibilities for solving it.

4.   Faith always involves God in it! They persevered with efforts for their paralytic friend to see his spiritual healing as well as his physical healing. Their actions are an example of the apostle James' statement in James 2:18: "I will show you my faith by my works."

Believe me, one had to help me to get to infusion center, to have blood work done and transportation to those places plus around home. Now I am on the move, for I can get from point A to point B. We each have that place to persevere. But many want the "nice". They want free stuff! But faith starts in the spirit and moves to the natural. It comes in our mind, our actions by speaking it......the truth out.

Jesus flipped tables in the Temple. It was the place of prayer not raising money or such. I think of those living in tents, waiting for someone to feed them, someone to give their hearts desire including drugs. I have heard of people blaming others for their bad character. They want respect but have not done an act for another.

What falls under the kind using faith are parents, yes father and mother not dependent on their own strength nor size to demand respect. Parents are to strive to earn that respect through strength of character, wisdom and that which clearly expressed love.

Matthew 26: 43-50 NKJV 43 And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. 44 So He left them, went away again, & prayed for the third time, saying the same words. 45 Then He came  to His disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping & resting? Behold the hour is at hand, & the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.” 47& while He was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests & elders of the people. 48 Now His betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him.” 49 Immediately he went up to Jesus & said, “Greetings Rabbi” and kissed Him. 50 But Jesus said to him, “Friend, why have you come? Then they came & laid hands on Jesus a& took Him.

Jesus remained the kind. He called Judas the sinner Friend. Judas could have walked the path of life but chose death instead! Kindness by definition is one with a generous spirit. They give or their time, their money and talent to support those who are in need. It is sitting with others in their suffering not complaining. They sit silently with those who are the ill! The nice are defined as the ignorant or the foolish. Niceness is agreeable often to avoid conflict or to gain social approval.

Kindness is the form of a genuine empathy and concern for others. while niceness is often a superficial behavior. Kindness has boundaries but niceness does not.

The Gospel came to set boundaries around those believing in God the Father and God the Son: Jesus!

We hand Jesus a scepter when we give Him total control of our lives.  We must have the attitude of Paul when he said, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” (Gal. 2:20).  We must mean what we say when we sing that we “crown Him Lord of all.”

What about in your life?  Who is really in control?  Have you given Christ a reed or a scepter? Do we expect niceness or kindness? Jesus on the cross told one of them would be with Him in paradise. One complained but one knew himself a sinner and Jesus the Son of God!

Respect or Manipulation.....a plot to terrorize or set boundaries of  God's word.

Will you sit with the brokenhearted or find someone to give money for your manipulation of such. Will Jesus reign giving you the rich character of Father God or show up ignorant. It is a choice!
